Yara Shahidi Gets ‘Black-Ish’ Spinoff Good news for “Black-ish” fans! ABC has greenlit a spinoff of the top-rated show starring Yara Shahidi and Deon Cole. Yara’s new show, “College-ish” will follow Zoey as she journeys to college and figures out life after leaving home. The show will focus on issues facing students and administration in today’s higher learning settings. The show will appear on FreeForm. Black-ish executive producer Kenya Barris tells Deadspin he couldn’t be happier about the new show: “I never thought they’d let me put Black-ish on the air, let alone give me a spin-off. I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to continue working with Yara and the rest of this talented young cast. To any aspiring writers struggling to make it out there, I highly advise adding an ‘-ish’ to any working title you might have. It seems to be the move.” Splash/WENN
There's nothing rooty, tooty, fresh or fruity about the following video. But there is a whole lot loud, crazy, violent and extremely disturbing, that's for certain. In a piece of totally insane action captured by comedian Nick Nack Pattiwhack, a bunch of patrons begin to argue vociferously inside a New York Denny's… … only for their words to quickly turn into an array of flying fists. (Pattiwhack, it should be noted, rose to viral fame earlier this year after he pretended to break into NBA star Anthony Davis' residence and then filmed the sensational baller at home while constantly saying: “Oh no! What is you doing, baby?” He's become a household meme since and he narrates the following fight in the same, annoying, repetitive way.) As for the brawl you're about to witness? Good luck making sense of it; we have no idea what precipitated the violence. All we know for sure is that Pattiwhack has no interest in actually breaking it up. He just focuses on getting the best angles and uttering the same phrase over and over again. We'd say the throwdown was somehow staged to help the comedian boost his odd brand, but there's just no way. It's impossible to stage this kind of intense battle. This sh-t is real. And absolutely bananas:
Shortly after she married Jeremy Vuolo , Jinger Duggar relocated with her new husband to Laredo, Texas. Jinger’s the first of the Duggar girls to leave Arkansas, and she’s openly discussed the difficulties of living so far away from her massive family. Fortunately, once they’re married, Duggar women are allowed to use social media , so Jinger is now able to connect with her beloved sisters through technology like the Millennial like that she is: On Friday, Jinger posted the above throwback photo of herself with older sister Jessa Duggar, and predictably, fans couldn’t get enough of it. She tagged the photo simply, “Best friends forever!” Obviously, all of the Duggar siblings are close with one another, but in a family that size, it’s only natural that certain pairs would enjoy special bonds, and it seems Jinger and Jessa have been besties since way back. These days, of course, Jinger’s Instagram page is under a microscope due to rumors that she’s pregnant with Jeremy Vuolo’s baby . Fans have been on the hunt for a Jinger Duggar baby bump pretty much from the time she got married, and many believe it’s plain to see from her recent pics that the 23-year-old is expecting. Even an innocent throwback like her most recent post is enough to prompt speculation. Some fans believe it’s Jinger’s way of remaining active on social media while not posting any recent photos of herself. Others believe Jinger is feeling sentimental and longing for home now that she’s soon to be starting a family of her own. But most are able to appreciate the pic for what it is – a simple expression of sisterly love. “Is that Jinger?!?! Jessa, you haven’t changed a bit!! Y’all are so adorable!” wrote one fan. “You guys look absolutely adorable,” commented another. Yes, “adorable” was the word of the day on Jinger’s Instagram. She may be new to social media, but the girl knows how to give her fans what they want. Gossip and innuendo are par for the course with the Real Housewives franchise, but even then, there’s a line that just cannot be crossed. Phaedra Parks crossed it, and has been fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta for spreading lies and rumors about her co-stars. According to TMZ, citing sources close to production, Phaedra was let go over a rumor she told Porsha Williams about Kandi Burruss. During the course of this latest season, the story she spread continued to fester, finally boiling over during this past Sunday’s reunion. Now, we know what you’re thinking: Doesn’t Lisa Rinna have a job over on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills by virtue of stirring the pot and talking s–t about everyone? Well allegedly, Phaedra Parks told Porsha Williams that Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, were planning to drug Porsha. Once they did that, their plan – again, this is according to Parks – was to take Porsha home to their place to take advantage of sexually. If they aired that clip, she told them, there would be hell to pay … so they didn’t. However, on Sunday’s finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion , the “secret” got out, and Phaedra was outed as the source. Bravo felt that Phaedra’s allegations were so far beyond the pale, they simply couldn’t continue working with her – and no longer will be. It all came to a head when a crying Porsha confronted Phaedra about the one-on-one conversations they had conducted about Kandi. “I repeated it ’cause I heard it,” Phaedra said of the rumor, giving pretty much the least credible, convincing or sympathetic reply imaginable. The rest of the cast wasn’t buying it, either. Porsha Williams immediately corrected her: “No, she [Kandi] said it to you, Phaedra.” “You told me she said it to you.” “Something was brought to me, and I repeated it,” Phaedra replied, probably thinking about how fast she could get a flight out of town. With Kandi sobbing and insisting that Phaedra basically accused her of rape, the cast was shocked (Cynthia’s mouth was on the floor). “There’s no tears even coming out your eyes,” Kenya Moore said, feigning indignation over the fact that ANYone could do such a thing. “It’s the Pinocchio Complex,” said Todd Tucker, the implication being that she just lies and lies so much that she can’t even feel feelings . As a stoic Phaedra sat there, she insisted she heard this somewhere, rather than making it up, a story that just didn’t add up. Porsha, who smelled a rat from the get-go here, then let her (now-former) co-star have it with the mother of all comebacks: “You know damn well the day you told me that, two days before I sat with Kandi, you said she told you firsthand!” Williams said. “Then two days ago we talked on the phone,” she continued, and once again, she says, “you told me that she said it firsthand.” “Now, what I’m not gonna do is go back in text messages and reveal that, because we don’t need no motherf–king receipts.” Damn. That’s just cold … albeit deserved. Obviously Bravo agreed, because she’s out. Parks’ children now have a father (Apollo Nida) in prison and a mother who falsely accused two co-stars of plotting a third co-star’s rape. We honestly feel for those poor boys. RHOA rumor control… Kim Zolciak Speaks On RHOA Return Rumors As fans prepare to see her make a brief return on tonight’s RHOA season finale, Kim Zolciak is speaking on rumors that she’s coming back for a permanent peach. As previously reported Kim will face off with Kenya Moore at Chateau Sheree and accuse Kenya of being jealous of her husband and her children. There have since been rumors that not only will Kim return, but NeNe Leakes as well for RHOA’s landmark 10th season. Now Kim’s confirming that it’s indeed a possibility for her. She tells PEOPLE that she’s strongly considering a return under one condition; a FAT paycheck. “I’m very motivated by money,” the 38-year-old reality star told the mag. “Everything has a price. I’m just giving it to you straight. Given the right amount of money for anything? Yeah, count me in. I like to work. I have six children to support, so for sure!” She also added that soon after she showed up to Chateau Sheree she was thrown back into the old argumentative ways of RHOA. Thanks Kenya! “I wasn’t going in there blazing or anything. I was just going to have a good time and support Sherée,” said Kim. “And I was like, ‘Is this lady okay? Who cares?’ And then she just started popping off at the mouth – ‘You need to worry about your man.’ And you know I’m the wrong one to be popping off at the mouth to.” […] ‘Why are you talking about my husband? You wish you had one,’ ” she recounts telling Moore. “Definitely don’t talk about my husband, my children — just don’t go there. That kind of set me off and I was like, ‘Well, I’m right back in it! Shortly after the world learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls when he was in his teens, the Duggars were beset by yet another scandal involving their eldest son’s sexual impropriety. When the infidelity-facilitating website Ashley Madison was hacked in August of 2015, Josh was revealed to be its most high-profile client. We still don’t know if Josh succeeded in his efforts to cheat on his wife, Anna, but we do know what his intentions were. In the wake of Josh’s second scandal, the Duggars went into damage control mode. Josh was sent to rehab to undergo a “faith-based” course of treatment for his sex addiction, and when he returned home six months later, his family basically kept him hidden from sight. So it would appear that though he avoided jail time for his adolescent sex crimes, Josh learned a hard lesson about fidelity after getting caught cheating on his wife. But as we’ve seen before, the Duggars are in object lesson in the many ways in which appearances can be deceiving. Less than two years after Josh checked into rehab, everything in his life has basically returned to normal. Josh and Anna are expecting their fifth kid ; the rest of the Duggars are back on TV; and while his career as a lobbyist/reality TV star may have come to an end, Josh is reportedly making a fine living for himself as the proprietor of several used car dealerships. Needless to say, fans are growing concerned that any lessons learned might now be forgotten. And their worst fears seem to have been confirmed by recent comments from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar regarding their views on infidelity. The couple frequently speaks at marriage retreats and in a video uploaded yesterday, Colorado-based pastor Kenny Batson recalled an encounter with Jim Bob and Michelle at such an event. Addressing his congregation, Batson recollected: “ At the marriage retreat — Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar helped us do it, and at the end of it, they were getting ready to go home, and Jim Bob caught me out in the hall and says, ‘You know what,’ he says, ‘I have to go back in here and do a little more teaching.’” “What they talked about was this matter right here. Intimacy in marriage. And Michelle said something that I’d never thought, I mean I knew of it but I never thought like she put it. “She said ‘Ladies, your husband can get his laundry done by other women, he can have his meal cooked by other women, he can have all kinds of things done for him by other women, but there’s only one woman who can meet that strong need he has that God put in him, and its you. Only you, lady .’” In the past, the Duggars have been accused of blaming Anna for Josh’s infidelity, and many fans see these latest comments as Michelle’s way of doubling down on those views. Michelle seems to be implying that Josh was simply acting on the “strong need that God put in him” and that Anna wasn’t satisfying his needs in the bedroom. Batson puts an even finer point on it, summing up Michelle’s comments thusly: “It is one of the greatest sins of women today, is a self-centered narcissistic view of how they are to have control of their bodies. The Bible says your body is not your own, sister. It is your husband’s.” They may have figured out a way to present themselves to 21st century television audiences in an inoffensive fashion, but the Duggars views on marriage and a woman’s place in the world remain deeply problematic. The Josh sex scandals briefly brought those views to the surface, and fans were justifiably outraged. But like Jim Bob and Michelle, the Duggars’ most loyal viewers proved very eager to forget. In the following clip from this Friday’s Mama June: From Not to Hot , the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star heads to her ex-home in McIntyre, Georgia to flaunt her new figure for ex-husband Sugar Bear. (The couple split in September of 2014 and share custody of Alana Thompson.) Shannon’s personal trainer, Kenya Crooks, and her daughters come along for support. “Just being back in McIntrye brings back a lot of bad memories. People who haven’t seen me in a couple of years are going to be shocked,” Shannon tells the camera, adding: “Like, what the f-ck am I doing here? “That’s the house that I used to live in with the kids when Alana was little. Yeah, they did a lot of work to the house and it looks better, but it’s still the same damn house. That house doesn’t serve good memories.” Shannon then spots Sugar Bear and says she's “nervous.” How will he react to the woman in front of him? The following clip then depicts Shannon’s legs as she exits the car in a long red dress, along with Sugar Bear’s reaction in a confessional. “Oh, sh-t,” he says. Shannon formerly weighed approximately 460 pounds; then she underwent gastric sleeve surgery and stuck to an intense diet and exercise regimen to slim WAY down. She also endured several plastic surgeries, including excess skin removal on her neck and arms, along with a tummy tuck and a boob job. Matt Jordan NOT Invited To The RHOA Reunion Show It looks like Kenya Moore isn’t the only one completely done and washing her hands of Matt Jordan’s craziness. The good folks at Bravo apparently aren’t here for his violent shenanigans and general instability this ‘go round, because Andy declined to make a call to have him plead his case over the events of last season — despite the fact that he was a HUGE chunk of Kenya’s storyline. According to TMZ , producers flat out thought he was too violent to be in an enclosed space with everyone else, and decided not to extend the invite. Maybe missing that check is part of the reason he started getting all frisky and salty about money and “advice” he allegedly received from Peter and Todd a couple weeks back. SMH! Well maybe of he didn’t go all hulk smash on Kenya’s property on multiple occasions, punch a bodyguard while filming on set, and have enough mug shots to fill a photo album , he wouldn’t have these issues.
