Here's the bad news: Keeping Up with the Kardashians is on hiatus. Yes, you can always watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online . But new episodes won't actually air on E! until Sunday, October 23 at 9/8c. So, what's the good news? The network has supplied us with the following promo for these fall installments… and it looks like A LOT of totally unscripted craziness is about to go down! For example, we get a look below at Kim Kardashian on the set of Fergie's new music video, along with the singer herself and Chrissy Teigen. There's also a glimpse at Kendall Jenner modeling… with many layers of clothing on. Kim seems to take issue with Kendall's attitude, however, saying at one point: “She doesn't want to be famous, but fame runs her business.” That's sort of true. Jenner has tried to shy away from the spotlight and distance herself from her family, which is admirable. But Kim knows all about fame and business and how the former impacts the latter. Will her sister listen to her advice? Or will Kendall continue to insist on doing it her way? For obvious reasons, she's conflicted about it. “Scott invited me to his birthday party in Las Vegas and I'm just not sure if I want to go,” Kourtney says in a confessional to the E! cameras. The Lord, she feels, might get the wrong idea. “I'm so happy that Scott and I are getting along so well and that we're co-parenting, but I think hanging out with Scott without the kids …” Things are good right now as Kourt sees it, but everything is tenuous when it comes to Scott, so she's reluctant to rock the boat. Hanging out without the kids, she fears “Scott can just take any little thing and run with it and think that we are getting back together.” “Right now, I can't even wrap my head around that.” After all they've been through, who can blame her? The Kardashians are famous for being paid oodles of cash to promote a product, but are they playing by the rules (or rather, the law) when it comes to sponsored posts? According to Page Six , a letter from watchdog group Truth In Advertising reportedly sent a letter to momager Kris Jenner’s legal team, warning her that they “have found that members of the Kardashian/Jenner family are engaged in deceptive marketing campaigns .” The group has been meticulously following the Instagram accounts of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as their younger sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and gathered 27 companies – incluing Puma, Calvin Klein, JetSmarter, Fit Tea, Estée Lauder and Karl Lagerfeld – they were working with. What the group found was “a plethora of posts that do not clearly or conspicuously disclose their relationships with the companies being promoted in the posts as is required by federal law.” The group has informed Jenner that if the issues aren’t “fully corrected” by Wednesday, the family will be reported to the Federal Trade Commission. It’s no secret that the Kardashians have been hawking products since Keeping Up With The Kardashians became wildly popular in 2007, but federal law requires that a company and its participants clearly state that the post is sponsored. “The law is clear and people are not following it, and it’s not being enforced very often,” TINA spokeswoman Bonnie Patten told Page Si x. Social media is becoming the new medium for advertising, and this law is making it even more difficult for a celebrity or person of influence to share a product with followers without being asked, “is this sponsored? Are you being paid to promote this?” The Fashion Law website broke it down for readers, clarifying what constitutes a sponsored post . “Is posting a photo an endorsement? The FTC says yes!” The Fashion Law explains. “A photo is enough to trigger the need to disclose: Simply posting a picture of a product on social media, such as on Pinterest or Instagram, or a video of you using it, could convey that you like and approve of the product. Consider the following: On Friday, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian – along with Kris and Kendall Jenner – attended a private lunch with men and women who have lost relatives due to gun violence. The event was organized by Moms Demand Action and Everytown. Both are organizations that push for various gun control measures to be passed in Congress. “Having lunch with the families of loved ones who were killed by gun violence. I learned a lot from listening to their stories,” Kim wrote as a caption to the above image. She added: “Life is so precious!
