It’s going to be a long road ahead for Aimee Copeland. Georgia Woman With Flesh-Eating Infection May Leave ICU Soon A Georgia woman battling a flesh-eating disease is slowly improving and her father said Tuesday she should be out of intensive care soon. Doctors Hospital of Augusta said Aimee Copeland’s condition has changed from critical to serious. Serious condition indicates a patient is still acutely ill and has unstable vital signs. The 24-year-old graduate student developed necrotizing fasciitis after cutting her leg in a fall May 1 from a homemade zip line. Her left leg, other foot and both hands have been amputated. Her father, Andy Copeland, said doctors believe his daughter should be out of intensive care and ready to move into the hospital’s rehabilitation clinic in two or three weeks. “She’s going to have to learn to use prosthetic limbs,” he said. “But the critical-care phase, I believe, has come to an end.” He said one doctor who had expected her to spend months in intensive care is “blown away by her rate of progress.” Andy Copeland said his daughter has been talking with her doctors about using meditation and other holistic techniques to manage her pain instead of drugs. He said it’s a topic she had been researching for her master’s thesis. “She went through one of the dressing changes without any kind of pain medication at all the other day,” he said. “It’s incredible. Khloe Kardashian Begins Fertility Treatment According to TMZ reports : Khloe Kardashian wants a baby bad, and we’ve learned she’s undergoing fertility treatment. Sources connected with Khloe and Lamar Odom tell TMZ … they have tried in vain for months to get pregnant. So Khloe went to ART Reproductive Center in Bev Hills Monday … to start the process. With Kim Kardashian by her side for moral support, Khloe gave up some blood so the docs could evaluate her hormone levels. She’s waiting for the results, and will then get a stylized treatment program. Our sources say fertility treatment has been a long time coming — they were going to start the process while living in Dallas, but distractions with Lamar’s BB career put everything on ice. While not much footage of Kim and Yeezy made it into the clip, the little bit that did will certainly spark interest in Sunday’s season premiere of the E! reality show. As Khloe narrates her feelings about the twosome, the trailer cuts to them sitting together, dressed all in black and sharing a laugh. Kimye isn’t the only headline that made the jam-packed show trailer. Kourtney reveals to her family that she’s having a baby girl , the family goes on a drama-filled vacation to the Dominican Republic and Lamar Odom ponders his basketball-playing future, telling in-laws Bruce and Kris Jenner, “I know that I can make any team a championship-caliber team. I got to just get back.” And, yes, the infamous red-carpet flour-bombing also makes the cut. Toward the end of the teaser, mama Kris proclaims, “I left my husband for this guy,” as footage of her hugging a mysterious man is teased. A teary-eyed Kourtney says, “I don’t understand. I could never do that to my children.” However, it is unclear what exactly will play out. When MTV News caught up with Kim and Khloe , the eldest Kardashian sister noted that she wanted to keep as much of her relationship with West as private as possible. “I don’t know if I’m ready to talk about him,” Kim said. “I feel like I’ve had such a hard time sharing my love life that now I’m a little bit more reserved on that.” While Kim was tight-lipped about her man, Khloe teased her sister a bit about the romance. “No I love, it. You’re like a wild, crowd-surfing child and I love you.” On Wednesday, Kim and Kanye were spotted in London, where Kim will launch her jewelry line. By Kara Warner Kim Kardashian & Khloe Kardashian Photo: MTV News With book-to-film adaptations being all the rage these days, people just can’t seem to stop talking about the latest hot-button page-turner and best-seller “Fifty Shades of Grey.” And with the big-screen version of the saucy, S&M-heavy tale on the way, we’re doing our best here at MTV News to keep abreast of the latest developments in casting , along with attempts to round up a list of celebrity fans. When we caught up with in-the-know reality TV superstars Kim and Khloe Kardashian recently, ahead of the premiere of the new season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” we asked the sisters for their thoughts on the book and its rise to popularity within the pop-culture zeitgeist. Both ladies apparently have a lot of reading to do. “[I haven’t read it] but everyone talks about it,” Khloe said. “My grandmother MJ read the first one and said she couldn’t put it down. Now she’s on the second one. My grandmother!” Khloe added. “Sexy!” Kim also has yet to read the entire story, but admitted to letting her curiosity get the best of her during a recent plane ride that involved reading over a stranger’s shoulder. “There was someone reading it on their Kindle on the plane [in the seat] in front of me and they were a little older so the font was huge,” Kim recalled. “I was bored so I was like leaning forward and reading a full chapter.” “I heard it’s a great book,” Khloe chimed in. “It’s racy,” Kim said. “Grandmothers gotta live too,” Khloe said with a smile.

One week after we saw Lamar Odom traded to Dallas , Bruce and Kris Jenner decided to pay a visit to bid farewell to Khloe Kardashian on Khloe & Lamar . While Bruce supports Khloe’s decision to move to Big D, it’s more than Kris can take … at least according to the script from Ryan Seacrest Productions. Fans of the couple (assuming there are some) have been looking forward to watching this play out since news of the trade broke, so let’s recap it all … “We all know you’re a strong girl, and you have to be there for everybody else. But who’s going to be there for Khloe?” – Kris. Um, the whole giant family? Also, he’s just an NBA superstar who got traded, not a fallen soldier. Minus 10 . “My family and I have never really lived apart, but Lamar needs me.” – Khloe. Plus 50 . That he does. When she arrives, she senses something amiss with his transient lifestyle in Dallas. “Lamar is so sore and tired and he needs his own bed. I have got to find us a place ASAP,” she says. Attentive wife. Plus 20 . Lamar’s feeling the heat: “Being on a new team for the first time, everything is mental and all eyes are on me. The pressure is on.” Minus only 5 , because while the man gets paid millions to perform under pressure, we do sympathize. Walking by a local bar sponsoring a Kardashian look-alike contest and meeting fans who show their appreciation, Khloe feels the love. Minus 45 for people caring about the Kardashians that much, but Plus 20 for being loyal fans. “It’s the first game of the season and I feel anxiety to perform at a high level and do my job well,” Lamar says on opening day. He does not do so. Minus 15 . Undeterred, Khloe sets romantic post-game scene at their new home. “I’m hoping a little romance, candles, maybe that can make him smile.” Aww. Plus 10 . When that doesn’t work, she calls home. “I feel like I’m trying and it’s not going the way that I thought it would,” she says. Stop calling mom. Minus 15 . Where there is smoke, there’s definitely fire. More details have been released about the alleged friction between Khloe Kardashian-Odom and hubby Lamar Odom and it seems she hasn’t been as supportive as we may have thought. KHLOE KARDASHIAN’s marriage to NBA star LAMAR ODOM is on the rocks because he’s blaming her for causing problems with his new basketball family. Lamar, 32, has been struggling on the court since he was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks late last year. And making matters worse, sources say he and Khloe are fighting over her refusal to socialize with his teammates and their wives. According to a close source, an angry Lamar snapped at Khloe: “You have your own agenda! Everyone believes you think you’re too good for them!” The source went on to explain: “The Mavericks won the NBA championship last year, and their biggest change this season was bringing in Lamar. He hasn’t played well and the whole team is floundering, so the last thing he needs is for Khloe to act like a diva.” The 27-year-old reality show star reportedly got off on the wrong foot with the players’ wives and girlfriends. Several social events were planned to bring her into the fold, but she was always too busy shuttling back and forth between Dallas and L.A. to participate, the source said. “She isn’t trying to become part of the group,” the source continued. “She’s basically been a no-show.” Khloe even declined an invitation to get involved with The Jason Kidd Foundation, a charitable group run by Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd and his wife, Porschla. The foundation is dedicated to improving education among the youth. “Khloe said the charity sounded great but that she doesn’t have the time to get involved, plus she works with her own fundraising groups,” said the source. “That didn’t help her to win any fans with the Mavericks ladies. And it’s just making life more difficult for Lamar.” The couple married in 2009 after a month-long romance. Since then, Lamar has become a fixture on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” and the two got their own spinoff series, “Khloe & Lamar.” But the move from Los Angeles to Dallas has thrown a monkey wrench into their lives and marriage. “They’re fighting a lot,” revealed a family friend. “And their marriage is melting down because of it.” And now Lamar’s been demoted as well. This sounds kinda like some petty isht, but if Khloe can make time to travel to all of Lamar’s away games and make it to his home games, she ought to be able to at least volunteer a little time for Porschla and the other NBA wives.
