Maci Bookout has a very busy life. She's married to Taylor McKinney, and they have two young children together. They're also raising her older son, Bentley, while struggling to co-parent with Ryan Edwards, who spent much of this year in jail. On top of all of that, she films for Teen Mom OG, does work to raise awareness for PCOS, and then of course there's Things That Matter, the clothing company she and Taylor run together. It's a lot, right? So why haven't we heard from her much lately? 1. The McKinneys So Maci and Taylor have been together since late 2012 — that’s almost seven years. So basically an eternity in the Teen Mom universe (Catelynn and Tyler don’t count). 2. Making a Family They got married in 2016, they’ve had two children together, Jayde and Maverick, and Taylor is an incredible stepdad to Bentley, the son Maci shares with Ryan Edwards. 3. Father of the Decade? He’s extra incredible, considering Ryan’s serious heroin addiction and all the time he’s spent in jail and rehab in recent years. There’s no question that Taylor has been around for Bentley much, much more than Ryan has, and he really doesn’t seem to love him any differently than his biological kids. 4. Lots of Work Maci and Taylor have their hands full with three kids and a troubled co-parent in Ryan, but they also own and manage a successful clothing company, Things That Matter, and of course they film Teen Mom OG for months at a time. 5. Hmmm … All that would be a lot to handle for any couple, right? 6. Suspicious? It's been almost two weeks since Jenelle Evans' kids were removed from her home by CPS. At the time, it didn't seem possible that her situation could deteriorate any further. But as she's done so many times before, Jenelle proved to us that she doesn't know the meaning of the phrase “rock bottom.” Whether she's bringing guns to court or refusing to part ways with the man who terrorized her children, Jenelle has been exacerbating her already-dire circumstances at every turn. Jenelle's behavior has led some to speculate that she doesn't want her kids back. But others believe the former Teen Mom 2 star is tormented by the idea that her children are happier without her. Here's what we know about situation thus far: 1. Kai Times Jenelle lost custody of her son Kaiser and her daughter Ensley on May 10. CPS removed the children from her home, along with 11-year-old Maryssa Eason, David’s daughter from a previous relationship. 2. Lonely on the Land Jenelle had already lost custody of her eldest son, Jace, who has been raised by his grandmother for most of his life. Eason also has a son whom he’s not permitted to see. 3. Parents of the Year Needless to say, Jenelle and David aren’t exactly killing it in the parenting department these days. 4. Jenelle’s Hell Insiders say Jenelle has been inconsolable since her kids were moved to safer environments. But her efforts to regain custody have been abysmal. 5. The First of Many Hearings Jenelle and David attended a CPS meeting last week, and they screwed it up even worse than their critics expected. As the video above shows, David arrived with a gun sitting on his dashboard for reasons that no one understands. 6. Divided Loyalties Jenelle is not under investigation by CPS, but David is. As the Associated Press cites, “[Georgia’s] foster-care population skyrocketed from about 7,600 in September 2013 to 13,266… The state is struggling to provide enough foster homes for these children and keep caseloads at a manageable level for child-protection workers.” But let’s go ahead and add a few more kids to the bunch! The frequent shuffles of children from household to household also inflict severe long-term behavioral and emotional problems contributing to mental health issues and poor academic achievement which can cycle them right back in to another government system like prison or poverty. Yet another means in which the government limits upward mobility for women and people of color. There’s also the blatant disregard for maternal quality of life. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Black women are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. It’s been proven some medical professionals carry pre-conceived notions (backed by absolutely no evidence) that Black women have a higher pain tolerance and by doing so overlook the need for medical attention. “Basically, black women are undervalued. They are not monitored as carefully as white women are. When they do present with symptoms, they are often dismissed,” explained Dr. Ana Langer, director of the Women and Health Initiative at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston to Heart.org. So sis, why again should we let the government decide to force ill-prepared women to carry a baby, deliver it, and then endure the high risk of death associated with said birth for both the baby and mother to live an incredibly difficult life that seems more like a life sentence? If the mother chooses, she chooses out of love. When government officials consisting of straight, white men choose, its purely for selfish political gain. This doesn’t even take into account that these men also want to close down centers like Planned Parenthood which provide prevention education and contraceptives, not just abortions. Without proper places to perform the medical procedure, women and girls may turn to more dangerous methods of handling the situation, like self-abortion or suicide. These men are setting up our women and girls in a catch-22, a perpetual cycle of hardship while they profit from our poor quality of life. Jenelle Evans life has been worse than a soap opera this month. Mostly because soap operas tend to stick with cheating lovers and family feuds the occasional poisoning. We haven't heard of a daytime drama featuring a brutal dog murder followed by four emergency custody cases. And that's what's happening for Jenelle these days. But even in these dark, dark times, it seems that she and David Eason are still acting like fools. Shocker, right? 1. The Beginning You know how this all started, but for continuity’s sake, let’s recap: a few weeks ago, David Eason beat and killed Jenelle’s tiny little French bulldog, Nugget, because it nipped at Ensley. You know, like untrained dogs being harassed by children will do. 2. A Genuine Monster Ensley was obviously home at the time, as was Kaiser and Maryssa, David’s stepdaughter, and they were reportedly traumatized by the incident, which is definitely understandable. 3. Gross Although Jenelle made a big deal about leaving to stay with a friend for a few days, and although she sold some stories about how she was considering divorce, she was back home with him before the week was over. 4. Justice, Please? Thankfully police weren’t so quick to forget what happened — they opened an investigation into David, and they quickly decided to take action to protect the kids. 5. Kaiser, Check A detective advised CPS to remove Jenelle and David’s children from their custody, and so last week, they called Nathan and had him pick Kaiser up from preschool. 6. Have you noticed something unusual about the ongoing Jenelle Evans custody case? No, sadly, it isn’t that Child Protection Services swooped in this week and left with Jenelle’s two young kids (Ensley, 2; and Kaiser, 4), along with David Eason’s daughter from a previous relationship, 11-year old Maryssa. Those who have followed Jenelle and David’s marriage for any period of time have been aware that this was always a possibility. Their home is inarguably a danger zone, considering all the guns Eason keeps around; the fact that he used one to shoot and kill the family’s dog a couple weeks ago; and also the strong likelihood that he assaulted Jenelle while drunk last October. The only real surprise in this situation is that authorities didn’t remove the young children earlier. What is unexpected to some, however, is how quiet Evans has remained throughout the ordeal. Go take a look at Jenelle’s Twitter feed and you’ll notice links to a few celebrity gossip stories around the Internet. How has she not lashed out? How has she not been ranting and raving over the removal of her sons and stepdaughter? It’s simple, really: Because she isn’t allowed to. According to Radar Online, the North Carolina judge in charge of Jenelle’s case has ordered her and her dog-murdering husband to abide by a gag order. They are legally banned from discussing this legal issue in public. For those just catching up: Eason has admitted to killing the family pet, Nugget, because he alleged that the small dog lunged at his two-year old daughter and placed her in danger. This was merely the latest in a long line of ugly and violent incidents, but it garnered national attention because people love dogs and because it was so nasty, brutal and unnecessary. We mean, Eason beat little Nugget bloody and senseless with his bare hands before taking the canine into the woods and putting a bullet into it. Just so very disgusting all around. Considering the uproar around the attack, MTV finally fired Evans from Teen Mom 2 and then Child Protective Services did a wellness check and determined that the kids living with Eason and Evans were not safe in their home. (Jenelle’s nine-year old son, Jace, is remaining with his grandmother, which is where he lives on a typical basis anyway.) On Friday, Jenelle and Eason were spotted holding hands outside of a North Carolina home after a judge adjourned their case for the day and said the custody hearing would continue next week. It’s conceivable that the case may not be resolved for several months, if not even a full year, with Jenelle’s kids being kept away from her during this time. “She’s sick over everything,” a source close to the reality star has told Radar Online, adding: “Her stomach is upside down, she has anxiety, she’s not eating. She doesn’t know what to do. It’s hard.” This may be so. Even for someone as seemingly self-centered and irresponsible as Jenelle Evans, the reality of actually losing your kids must be devastating. And yet…. there’s a step Evans could maybe take that would put her kids back in her arms a lot sooner than later. She just doesn’t seem willing to make it. Which is to say: She could finally divorce Eason. Legal insiders have stated that making it clear her children will no longer be in the presence of this violent bigot would carry heavy weight with the judge. It may be the only way she has her family back under her roof some time this calendar year. Tragically, however, Evans has exhibited all the signs of an abuse victim who is incapable of walking away from her abuser. Say this about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: They are nothing if not reliable. One week after welcoming their fourth child (via surrogate), the world famous couple has announced the little boy’s name… … and it may not be Bear, as some social media users had suspected , but it is highly unusual. Are you ready, readers? Are you ready to say hello to PSALM WEST?!? Kardashian revealed her fourth child’s name on Twitter and Instagram this afternoon, several days after simply telling the world that “he’s here and he’s perfect.” She did so in form of a text conversation with her husband, as you can see below: “Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child. We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need,” West wrote, to which Kim simply wrote “Psalm West.” And now this question is answered. Psalm joins siblings North, Saint and Chicago in a family full of kids whose names are also nouns. That’s not a statement of judgment, it’s just a fact. Prior to this announcement, folks had started to believe that child number-four would be named “Bear” because Kim had included a bear emoji along with photos from her recent baby shower. The mother of four followed her baby name reveal a few minutes later with an update on the week-old, adding simply: “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.” Psalm was born via surrogate on May 9, 2019. He siblings are aged five, three and 16 months. In April, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said she was considering naming her son after her brother, Rob Kardashian. “But then it’s like, North, Saint, Chicago, Rob,” Kim told Jimmy Kimmel at the time while a guest on his talk show. “It doesn’t really go. I really was feeling like that, or Robert. And my brother approved it, so that’s, like, our one kind of name. I like Rob West.” So do we. But Kim is right: Once you’ve gone with North, Saint and Chicago, you really have no choice but to follow those up with something like… Psalm. As of right now, we don’t believe the child has a middle name. We actually don’t think any of Kim’s kids have a middle name. Will any siblings join this ever-growing immediate family? It doesn’t sound that way. “Kim and Kanye have known for awhile and are very excited. They had one male embryo left and are thrilled it has worked out,” a source previously told E! News, adding back then: “Kim always wanted four kids and having two boys and two girls feels perfect. “They were very happy with the entire experience the first time and are so grateful to have one more baby.” As for how she and Kanye arrived at the name Psalm? Kim has not yet said. However, she did try to explain the process to Kimmel a short while back: “We all weigh in. I definitely take a family survey, but it’s usually after the baby’s born and we’re trying to figure out what the baby looks like. “I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel that it really connects with me.” So we guess this one looks like a Psalm, huh? Jen Harley is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The mother of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's cute daughter and the on-again/off-again/sometimes violent girlfriend of this Jersey Shore star was arrested early Thursday morning at her home in Las Vegas. This should not come as stunning news to anyone who has been following Harley and/or her relationship with Ronnie. The only real surprise here is that Harley didn't do anything new to allegedly break the law. So, why was she taken into custody? And what did Ronnie have to say about it? Thursday’s season finale of Grey’s Anatomy was a wild episode that picked up in the immediate aftermath of DeLuca taking the fall for Meredith’s insurance fraud. If you watch Grey’s Anatomy online , you know that Meredith and Alex were inside a chamber with very little oxygen to save their patient. For that reason, Mer could not run after the cops to tell them it was her who made the dumb decision to doctor the insurance documents. Meredith didn’t get much time to speak about her issues because Alex wanted to know the truth about Jo. Surely Meredith would allow Jo to tell him in her own time, right? Wrong. Meredith filled in all the blanks, and Alex got progressively madder with every beat of the story. But Meredith told Alex that neither of them could give Jo the support she needs, and that’s why she agreed to get some help. Meredith rushed to the conference room with Bailey and Catherine, telling them that she was the one who should be arrested. Alex and Richard appeared to say that they were all part of the con and that’s when things got gnarly. “What can I do? You’re fired,” Bailey said. “All three of you. You’re fired.” Meredith rushed home and told her kids that she had to go do something, but she would be back soon. Was this her saying goodbye to them? It certainly seemed that way. Mer found herself visiting DeLuca in jail, telling him that she needed to clean up the stuff she caused. “As much as this terrifies me, I love you too,” Meredith said as she walked away, presumably to tell the cops the truth. Meanwhile, the fog was causing chaos for the staff and patients on their way to the hospital. Owen was stuck in a traffic jam with the blood donor, and only Levi could calm her down. An ambulance crew stepped in to save the day, and all of them made it to the hospital to save the patients’ life. Then there was Jackson and Maggie. The pair were on their camping trip, but realized they needed to get to safety. Jackson ultimately told Maggie he would be back in ten minutes, but he never returned, prompting Maggie to go after him. What the heck happened? Teddy started the hour off in labor, and ended it with a child and back in a relationship with Owen. Poor Tom was at home building all the baby furniture. Yeah, he’s going to find himself without a girlfriend in the fall. Yikes, right?! Love was also in the air. Amelia confirmed to Link that she was not getting straight into a relationship after ditching Owen. The reason? She wanted to find out who she was out of a relationship. It’s a fair reason, and Link was happy because Amelia said she was not ruling anything out. The other relationship that flourished involved Levi and Nico.
