Chip and Joanna Gaines: We’re Returning to Television!

Chip and Joanna Gaines are about to take a new step in their professional lives. And it’s a significant one. The former HGTV stars announced on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Friday that they will soon make their long-awaited return to television. In what context? In what way? The beloved couple remained mostly mum on the subject while chatting with the comedian last night. “We signed a non-disclosure and it said quote unquote you can tell your mother but that’s it,” Chip joked on air, adding: “So mom, I just wanted to make a quick announcement, we are coming back to television. “You are going to get to see the kids grow up, you are going to see us, well maybe a six-month delay like the rest of the world, but we are excited to be back.” Just over a year ago, Chip and Joanna announced that would be leaving Fixer Upper after five seasons . Since then, the home renovation experts have been rather busy in their own home, having welcomed their fifth child in late June. However, Magnolia spokesman John Marsicano talked to People Magazine and offered a lot more detail on what the future holds for his co-workers: “We’re excited to share that we are currently in the early stages of talking with Discovery about a lifestyle-focused media network for Magnolia. “The details surrounding this opportunity remain a work in progress, but together, our hope is to build a different kind of platform for unique, inspiring and family-friendly content.” Speaking to Fallon, Chip did add the following: “I think we’re really going to carve it out in a way that really makes sense to us and our families. “It’ll be filmed a lot in Waco, Texas, so we don’t have to travel a whole lot. All things being equal, we could not be more excited.” Chip and Joanna hosted the top-rated show on HGTV prior to leaving the small screen. Fans fell in love with how they remade various homes, but also with how they joked around and interacted with each other. The upcoming new network will be the latest addition to Chip and Joanna’s gigantic list of successful businesses. This includes their lifestyle magazine The Magnolia Journal, the new Magnolia Table restaurant and the couple’s product line at Target. Despite bidding farewell to Fixer Upper in April, Chip and Joanna have remained very active in the business world. “The show was amazing and we are so thankful for it, but it’s also a whirlwind where, if you are not careful, it will flat run you over,” Chip told People in October. You also believe that we have an obligation to be of service to someone else, … that true leaders lead from the front and lead by example, and reject all of this hate and intolerance and this indescribable fear that does not define who we are.” With the election, Hayes added to a number of historic results for a large group of African-American candidates running in the midterm elections across the country. The former national teacher of the year was still teaching full-time in the months leading up to Election Day. What will soon be her former profession has really helped inform the way she approaches politics, she told the Hartford Courant recently. “When you’re a teacher, you don’t pick and choose who you advocate for. You don’t choose who comes to your class. You don’t ask kids, ‘Is your mom a Republican or a Democrat,’ because that’s how I’m gonna decide how hard I’m gonna work for you,” Hayes said . “They come to you and you have a responsibility to leave them better than when they came. I think that’s what government should be doing.” Not unlike other Black women running for key state-wide elected seats, Hayes encountered her fair share of resistance from Democratic Party insiders who initially favored other candidates. Because of some creative maneuvering by the Connecticut state Democrats, Hayes didn’t get the party’s nomination. Still, she won the primary in August and forced Democrats to support her as the party’s nominee. That phenomenon was similar to those we saw for other Black women who were still able to win their respective primaries with little or no help from Democrats. Hayes explained why she was running for Congress when she declared in July. “Who will speak for them?” Hayes recalled asking herself one day while looking at her students. Thanks to the voters of Connecticut, that question has been answered, and then some. Teen Mom OG Recap: Stalkers, Miscarriages and More

Emotions and drama ran very high on Teen Mom OG this week. One cast member opened up about her long-time stalker. Another talked about her miscarriage. And a prominent player who hasn't been seen on screen this season checked into rehab. Indeed, things got as serious as possible on the MTV hit, with a few bits of humor sprinkled in here and there. Scroll down for a complete recap of events and storylines… 1. Scary Times for Bristol Palin Bristol moved into her new home this week, following her ugly split from Dakota Meyer. But then the ex-Marine called Palin with some troubling news. 2. A Break-In YIKES: someone had broken into Meyer’s home in Kentucky, with everyone assuming the culprit was a stalker who had been targeting Sarah Palin and her loved ones ever since she ran for vice president. 3. Who is He? Bristol explained on air that the man, Shawn Christy, had been “in and out of jail,” but was now “on the run from the law.” This concerned Palin, of course, who figured the only reason the man broke into Dakota’s place was due to her. 4. A Decade-Long Threat “I’m by myself with the kids in a house in Texas, 4,000 miles away from pretty much everyone I know,” Palin told the camera. “I get maybe 4 hours of sleep as it is, I’ve had this constant threat for 10 years. Super scary.” We can only imagine. 5. Tension Mounts Bristol took a few self-defense classes and learned that the the U.S. Marshals, FBI and Secret Service were on the lookout for the stalker. But then the issue turned into another source of contention between the estranged spouses. 6. Said Meyer: “How many times did I sit down with you and say we need to talk about scenarios, Bristol? Collin Gosselin Surfaces, Poses Happily with Dad and Sister

Collin Gosselin has been spotted, folks. We repeat: COLLIN GOSSELIN HAS BEEN SPOTTED! The 14-year old member of this once-famous and always-controversial family had not been included in Gosselin family photos or gatherings in quite awhile. To be honest, we’re not even sure the last time we saw Collin with either his mother or his father. The son of ex-spouses and TLC co-stars Jon and Kate has been enrolled in a program away from home for children with special needs. To their credit, probably, neither Jon nor Kate ever really got into detail about what was troubling Collin or exactly where he has been spending all his time. But while it was admirable that the parents respected their son’s privacy, this same privacy led to a million questions about Collin around the Internet. Especially when he was absent from his very own birthday party last year. But Jon Gosselin, who really does seem like he’s trying to rebuild his relationships with his children, surprised Instagram followers on Sunday by sharing a picture of himself, daughter Hannah and, yes, Collin. The image featured all three loved ones outside of Jon’s residence in Reading, Pennsylvania and the simple caption read as follows: “Had a good weekend visit with Collin at home!” As you can see above, Collin looked happy and healthy as he donned a cute red message tee shirt that referenced his home town and read: “Just a kid from Reading.” Jon, of course, shares Collin and Hannah – as well as remaining sextuplets Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden – with ex-wife Kate Gosselin. The pair are also the parents of 18-year-old twins Mady and Cara and they divorced very acrimoniously in 2009 after a decade of marriage. To this day, Jon and Kate continue to spar in public, most recently over the status of Hannah. She has been spending an unusual amount of time with her father over the past several weeks, leading many to believe Jon actually has custody of this daughter. That’s largely because Jon himself as said as much: Jon Gosselin: Hannah Lives with Me Now! She’s FREE FROM KATE!! But Kate says Jon is a liar and that all the kids still reside with her. There is reportedly a drawn-out and ugly battle going on in regard to Hannah and which parent has the primary responsibility for her well-being. Way back in 2016, the DJ (yes, Jon now works as a DJ) expressed frustration about his relationship with Collin, telling Us Weekly: “I don’t know what’s going on. The whole point is I’m left in the dark. There’s no explanation. It’s disheartening/ “I don’t ever see Collin, ever. Not off the bus because he doesn’t go to school. Not at the gate because he doesn’t come down. Nothing. I am totally estranged from Collin because of Kate.” Yikes. That must have sucked. Sources told Radar Online in the past that Collin was living in a “preadolescent unit” at a facility about two hours from the Gosselin family house in Pennsylvania. It remains unclear just what is going on with Collin, but he’s 14 years old and we shouldn’t really be digging into whatever difficulties he may be going through. We just wish his parents were on the same page about it. Randy Houska to David Eason: You’re a Pathetic Weakling!

Earlier this week, David Eason basically threatened the life of Chelsea Houska’s dad , Randy. That’s a sentence we never thought we’d write, but here we are. The anger-filled former Teen Mom 2 star went after his former colleague’s father because Randy dragged Eason on Twitter for seemingly breaking his wife’s jaw. There’s another sentence we never thought we’d write. But, again, here we are because it seems highly probable that Eason assaulted Jenelle Evans a few weeks ago. We’re basing this accusations on Jenelle’s own call to 911 , in which she identified herself and her husband and said that Eason broke her collar bone in a drunken rage. She also told an operator that David “pinned” her “down on the ground.” Evans later told social media followers that she was “realigning her jaw” with a retainer, a comment that prompted Randy to imply on Twitter that she was doing so because of Eason’s assault: In response to this remark, Eason went after Randy in a series of since-deleted Instagram videos, asking why he was “talking sh-t” and threatening to use his guns and his “vicious” dogs on Chelsea’s dad. “Mr. Randy, I’m going to ask you a question, punk,” Eason said in one of these clips, adding: “When was the last time you had your jaw realigned? Hey, punk, huh? You need to get straightened up? I’ll do it for ya, free of charge. Come on down to my dentist’s office, bud. I can even pull teeth. “I can realign your jaw.” Coming from someone with Eason’s history, such a comment might frighten the subject. But Randy reportedly could not care less about David and his so-called threats, insiders tell Us Weekly and Radar Online. “Randy is not afraid of David at all,” an Us source says of the dentist. “Randy knows that David is all talk and isn’t scared of him at all.” And another source echoes the same sentiment to Radar, saying of Randy: “He is not worried about that asshole. [Eason] is only brave on the Internet.” Has Randy added extra security at his home or at the office out of fear of what Eason might do? Nope, Radar writes, it’s “business as usual” there. Elsewhere in his menacing rant, Eason addresses Randy as follows: “I got guns. Don’t f-ck  with me… I got vicious dogs. Very very vicious… she will f-cking get ’em.” Eason, who MTV fired in February due to his onslaught of homophobic comments, does talk a good/violent game. But Jenelle swears he has never laid a hand on her. Late last month, the veteran Teen Mom star posed a YouTube video titled “Confessional: Domestic Violence” in which she defended her husband and told critics to calm the heck down. “I know everyone’s concerned about me, and I know everyone wants to know, ‘Is she okay? How are the kids? Blah blah blah,’” she said, adding: “Everything’s fine. “You know, I’ve been in so many domestic violence situations in the past that I would not put up with it now. Just stop.”
