Fans of VH1’s Mob Wives know Angela Raiola for her husky voice and larger-than-life persona. Unfortunately, it was recently discovered that one of Big Ang’s signature traits may be the result of a serious medical condition. TMZ reported last week that doctors discovered a tumor in Big Ang’s throat that was roughly the size of a lemon. Further tests showed that Raiola’s tumor was cancerous , but the reality star remained optimistic and issued several encouraging messages to fans via social media. Ang was scheduled for the soonest possible surgery, and she underwent an eight-hour procedure on Tuesday. Earlier today, Raiola’s sister reported that the operation was a success, and doctors were able to remove not only the tumor, but the lymph nodes on the left side of Ang’s neck, as an added precaution. In another piece of wonderful news for fans, Ang has been instructed not to speak for just three days, and after that, doctors expect that her famous voice will return to normal. In a recent interview, Ang attributed her raspy speech to 35 years of smoking. We hope after this latest scare, she’ll never be tempted to pick up the habit again. Jo Gilchrist, stricken by an infection contracted from a makeup brush, of all things, is reportedly paralyzed and told she may never walk again as a result. The Australian mother, 27, began feeling pain in her back in February, and soon lost all feeling in her lower body and legs and had to undergo emergency surgery. Doctors found that the partial paralysis was caused by a type of staph infection that is resistant to drugs, most likely contracted from the brush she borrowed. Gilchrist’s friend reportedly had a staph infection on her face, and it spread. “It started as a dull ache and I thought it was my bad posture,” Jo said. “But it got worse and worse and got to the point I had to call one of those doctors who come to you because I couldn’t get out of bed,” she recalled. “I rate the pain worse than childbirth; I literally thought I was going to die.” According to CDC, research about 30 percent of people with staph infections carry it in their noses, with most of these cases not resulting in infection. However, those that do cause infection can be extremely serious, even fatal. Doctors originally said Gilchrist might never walk again, however, she has been making incredible strides with physical therapy and intensive treatment. Last week, she posted a Facebook video of herself standing up and taking a couple of steps. Suffice it to say, she’s not giving up and going all out. “It’s been the hardest struggle I’ve ever faced” she wrote. “I have fought with everything I have to lead to this.” Even harder than the effort her recovery takes is being apart from son Tommy, 2, while she receives treatment at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Home. “I have pictures of him and his drawings all over the walls and I look at them every day,” she said, and holds out hope that she can return to normal someday. Another one of Mariah Carey’s relationships is over. Only this time, it’s a professional one. Carey’s longtime publicist, Cindi Berger, has split from the singer after 15 years of working together. Berger confirmed her split from Carey to Page Six, stating: “I have enormous respect for Mariah. She is one of the great talents and voices of our time, and I wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors.” She added that although they will no longer be working together, there was nothing acrimonious about their parting of ways, and they remain on good terms: “I care very deeply for her personally, but I felt that professionally it was time for us to move on.” Berger is the Co-Chairman and CEO of powerhouse publicity company PMK•BNC. Carey, who recently split up with Nick Cannon after several years of marriage, has already signed with The Chamber Group, according to E! Online. The diva is about to start a residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 6. She’ll be performing 18 (!) of her No.1 hits in the show. You may recall a time when the Jonas brothers were bastions of Disney-fied purity. (They even rocked the virgin rings to prove it.) Well, those days are long gone, and no one is more anxious to prove to the world that he’s sporting fully-functional grown-up bits than Nick Jonas. In fact, at this point, nude Nick Jonas pics are hardly even news. Whether it’s Nick stripping down for a men’s mag, or Nick mocking Kim Kardashian , the man can’t keep his clothes on to save his life. Having grown tired of still-life nudity, Nick decided to show the world what his junk looks like in motion in the new film Careful What You Wish For, which is apparently already in theaters. (Like we said, nude Nick doesn’t get much attention these days.) The film has no reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, which is suspicious and may indicate why the marketing campaign is focused entirely on something that’s already all over the Internet for free. (The funniest part of Nick mocking Kim for being naked all the time is the unintentional irony.) But enough about the quality of this awful-sounding movie. The important thing here is Nick Jonas’ penis , which may or may not be visible in Careful What You Wish For. Producers are being coy, so we’re guessing no dong. Sorry. But hey, check out the pics above for just about every square inch skin on Nick. And if you’re still hoping to see Nick’s junk one day, well, we’re sure he’ll bare all eventually. An inappropriate photo of Kylie Jenner hitting the Internet is not exactly unusual.
