Kim Kardashian Accepts People’s Choice Award, Addresses Devastating California Wild Fire

Kim Kardashian and her family members were unable to enjoy the 2018 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday night. Yes, the group won Best Reality Show of 2018 for Keeping Up with the Kardashians… … but a very different kind of reality has been affecting Kim, her relatives and countless other California residents over the past several days. Due to extraordinarily dangerous and fast-spreading wild fires in Malibu and surrounding areas, Kim and many others have been forced to evacuate their homes. Dozens have people have died. The President has pointed blame at the state itself. Everything is a very sad mess at the moment. Hence why Kim got up on stage and turned very serious on what otherwise would have been a celebratory occasions. “It’s been a really rough week in our home in Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and for our neighbors in Thousand Oaks and Malibu,” she said. Referencing the tragic shooting in a Thousand Oaks bar last week, which took the lives of 12 people, Kim added: “Our hearts are broken from the horrific shootings and for those who have lost their lives and homes, as well as the hundreds of thousands of us that have been evacuated from the devastating fires that are currently burning.” Raging blazes have tearing through Southern California for about a week now. There doesn’t appear to be an end in sight. But fire fighters and first responders are doing all they can to control the flames. And Kardashian showed appreciation for these heroes during the ceremony: “As horrible as this has been, it’s been amazing to see the resilient spirit of everyone involved, and the heroism of those risking their lives on the front lines. “Action is necessary, so anything we can do to help, as simple as donating to the many organization that are collecting supplies, no form of help is too small.” “Our country is stronger when we come together and we cannot face devastation alone,” she continued. “We must continue to reach out and help each other during these trying times.” Amen, right? Stars such as Lady Gaga, Rainn Wilson, and Alyssa Milano fled their houses over the weekend to escape the unprecedented winds. Miley Cyrus said on Instagram she was “completely devastated by the fires affecting my community.” She encouraged folks to aid in relief efforts by donating money and supplies to organizations like California’s Wildfire Relief Fund and the Red Cross. “I am one of the lucky ones,” she wrote on Twitter, adding: “My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong.” About 260,000 residents in Los Angeles County and Ventura County have been forced to flee their homes due to the fires, which have already burned down over 80,000 acres. Kim closed her speech by acknowledging the victims and paying tribute to those trying to end the devastation. “We would like to dedicate this win to all of the firefighters, the law enforcement and the first responders,” she said. “We really, truly appreciate what you have done for all of us. So please, let’s continue to pray for everyone’s safety.” We don’t write this very often, but: very well said, Kim Kardashian. Kourtney Kardashian shared her enthusiasm for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show like any diehard fan would: cosplay. Not to be confused with her Halloween costume, Kourt donned a different lingerie look just hours ahead of this year’s show. The results are jaw-dropping. Take a look: Kourt captioned this photo: “Can’t wait for tonight.” She was referring to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. 2018 seems to exist outside of the normal rules of time, so we understand that it might be hard to accept that Halloween was just two weeks ago. Famously, she and her sisters went as Victoria’s Secret Angels — because of course they did. In this pic, however, Kourtney is wearing a slightly different outfit, both in terms of the lingerie portion and in terms of the wings. For contrast, here is the look that she was sporting for Halloween: As you can see, the “wings” are very different in the Halloween costume. And the lingerie is a bit more revealing. Those outfits were, of course, supplied by Victoria’s Secret. (The Kardashian brand is still intensely powerful, folks, and any company would jump at the chance to have these women don their products) The picture up top is of Kourtney getting hyped for the actual runway show. But on All Hallow’s Eve, the Kardashian clan put on a runway show of their very own. The women — excuse us, the angels — looked positively radiant in their Halloween costumes. “Thank you Victoria’s Secret for sending us actual runway looks and real wings to borrow for the night!!!” Kim gushed. “OMG a dream come true!” Kim continued. “Got to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel for the night!” Kim acknowledged that her supermodel sister was no stranger to the look: “[And] Kendall got good practice lol.” Kendall’s non-compete agreement with La Perla lingerie had thankfully run out in time for her to participate in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. (Which, honestly, makes it kind of awkward — don’t do a group costume if the costume idea is just the day job of one member of the group) Kourtney, for her part, crackd a joke about her height. “I opened the show,” Kourtney shared on Halloween. “Thank you [Victoria’s Secret] for making me the first ever 5’1” angel,” she joked. In case you had forgotten, the Kardashian women are extraordinarily tiny. (Even the “tall” ones, like Khloe and Kendall at 5-foot-10 each, only look tall because their sisters are so short) The Kardashians brought some added attention — or at least a timely reminder — of the real Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Unfortunately, the show managed to stir up some controversy this year. A recurring topic regarding the fashion industry is a glaring lack of diversity. This year, the brand answered that question very poorly. When asked about the idea of models on the runway with different ages, or body types, or who might be transgender or disabled, the Chief Marketing Officer put his foot in his mouth. “No. No, I don’t think we should,” he said. “Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy.” That did not go over well, and he has since apologized. Kourtney’s latest photo comes as fires are ravaging Southern California, even reaching as far as some Kardashian properties. Multiple celebrities have had their homes totally consumed by raging wildfires. With this year’s drought, the fire continues to burn unchecked — and with climate change, these devastating wildfires will only grow more frequent. Jinger Duggar Gushes (And We Mean GUSHES) Over Jeremy Vuolo

This Just In: Jinger Duggar really, really loves Jeremy Vuolo. This may be fairly obvious, considering the fact that Jinger is happily married to Jeremy and the two are constantly posing with their precious daughter, Felicity. But Jinger still took a few moments on Instagram yesterday to acknowledge her two-year wedding anniversary, writing a very sweet message that we felt a need to highlight here. It reads as follows: It is hard to believe it has been 2 years already. Where has the time gone?! It has been the most incredible two years of my life! I am so thankful for you. @jeremy_vuolo . You are the most amazing man I have ever known. Thank you for always being there for me in the best of days and in the toughest days. Thank you for always pointing me to Christ and being faithful to share Christ with others. Seeing you so gently caring for Felicity melts my heart. You are the best husband, father & friend a girl could ever ask for!! I love you with all of my heart, baby! Jinger and Jeremy got married in November of 2016. Ever since they became husband and wife, Duggar and Vuolo have faced their fair share of scandals. But that word should really be in quotation marks. For example, Jinger actually garnered backlash for putting her child in a head scarf for an adorable photo just a few weeks ago. Prior to that so-called incident, Duggar was slammed for putting mittens on her baby girl. Trust us, we really wish we were making these controversies up. Thankfully, Jinger and Jeremy have mostly remained above it all. They’ve simply continued to spend time with each other and with Felicity, letting the haters hate and basically feeling sorry for such trolls. For his part, meanwhile, Jeremy also celebrated this week’s special occasion by penning the following note on his own Instagram page: Happy Anniversary, my dear. Life with you has been greater than I could have ever imagined. You grow more beautiful every day—inside and out. I love you. Pretty darn sweet, right? For all the negative things people understandably say about the Duggars and how they live their lives, one would be seriously challenged to come up with any true criticism of Jinger and Jeremy. This is why desperate social media users end up resorting to commentary about mostly harmless photos such as THIS ONE . We’ll follow the couple’s lead, however, and ignore the undeserved hate. Ariana Grande: Named Woman of the Year By Billboard!

Ariana Grande capped off what’s already been a legendary year by writing a new song to her exes . She was the one with Big Dick Energy the whole time. Billboard recognizes that, and has chosen Ari as their Woman of the Year. It’s a huge deal. Billboard has announced that Ariana Grande is their 2018 Billboard Woman of the Year. “Billboard’s 13th annual Women In Music event will take place December 6 in a return to New York City,” Billboard shared in a statement. And they have already decided which music superstar they’ll be honoring at the event. It was probably an easy decision to reach. “And,” the statement says. “We can now officially announce Ariana Grande as our 2018 Billboard Woman of the Year.” To quote Kim Kardashian: it’s what she deserves . “2018 has been huge for Grande,” the statement continues. Billboard says: “As the pop superstar launched Top 40 hits like ‘God Is A Woman,’ ‘Breathin,’ and ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ under the Billboard Hot 100.” That announcement is a great reminder that “Goodnight N Go” is vastly underappreciated and maybe the most underrated song of her album. Ariana had that success with singles “while seeing her album, Sweetener , hit #1 on the Billboard 200.” “And earn the largest streaming week ever for a pop album by a female artist upon its release,” Billboard raves. “Grande’s remarkable year transcended the charts,” Billboard points out. That is an understatement. “As she used her voice to support worthwhile causes, as well,” the statement notes. “She participated in March For Our Lives in support for gun control legislation,” Billboard continues. “And,” the statement says. “Has been an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness.” This was a very timely thing to mention, because Ariana had just spoken on the subject. Billboard cites that, just the day before their announcement, Ariana had responded to a fan tweet with a powerful message. “In all honesty,” Ariana wrote to a fan. “Therapy has saved my life so many times.” “If you’re afraid to ask for help, don’t be,” she encourages her followers. Ariana promises: “You don’t have to be in constant pain and you can process trauma.” Having both witnessed and survived a sickening terrorist attack just last year, Ariana knows the impact of trauma. “i’ve got a lot of work to do,” Ariana admits. “But it’s a start to even be aware that it’s possible.” Billboard was clearly impressed. And Ariana has done so much more. “Grande also helped organize the One Love Manchester benefit concert in response to aid the victims of the Manchester arena bombing,” the statement mentions. That benefit was one “which was broadcast to 50 countries and raised more than $23 million.” “With this year’s honor,” Billboard continues. “Grande now joins the likes of past Woman of the Year recipients: Selena Gomez, Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.” Those music legends make for some very fine company. Billboard concludes: “The ceremony and red carpet pre-show will be broadcast live on Twitter from 7 to 10pm Eastern on December 6.” Obviously, awards are only as valued as those who receive them. Ariana is at the absolute top of her industry. She’s a living legend and she has been for years. Her latest single, “Thank You, Next” surpassed expectations and smashed records on its own. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt: Headed to Trial Over Custody?!

The long, ugly, messy custody battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie isn’t ending any time soon, folks. The two have been arguing over Brad’s unpaid child support , and it looks like they’ve given up on resolving this without a judge. The exes formerly known as Brangelina are going to have a custody trial. It’s been two years since this once-famously in love couple split. Apparently, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt haven’t been able to settle custody issues themselves in all of that time. TMZ   reports that these bitter exes are going to have a custody trial. Brad and Angelina have filed documents with an L.A. Superior Court Judge. They will have until June of 2019 to work out a custody arrangement for their shared children. And they will have the help of a private judge. According to TMZ , the custody trial is scheduled to begin nearly a month from now, on December 4. Angelina and Brad haven’t been able to reconcile their different views of how custody should be arranged. It seems doubtful that a few more weeks will give them time to see eye-to-eye. See, Angelina is seeking sole physical custody of their six children. In the mean time, Brad wants a fifty-fifty split — joint custody. Apparently the custody trial itself is expected to last anywhere from two to three weeks. But that is only part of the process. The judge will have to pour over the evidence and arguments presented at trial and reach a verdict regarding custody. It also falls to this judge to handle the couple’s property settlement. Angelina and Brad did not have a prenup. Given that they are both intensely wealthy and extremely bitter towards each other, this is one of the worst situations for not having a prenup. Brad has been seriously bitter and complained that Angelina has denied him access to his own children. Recently, the court forced Angelina to allow Brad some time with the children. She was also required to give him their phone numbers and allow them to communicate with him. If Brad gets his way in court, he’ll get them with him half of the time, and there will be little to nothing that Angelina can do about it. If Angelina gets her way, it’s unlikely that she’ll be forced to hand over access to the six children. If you recall the circumstances of their divorce in the first place, it’s no mystery why Angelina is so reluctant to expose her children to Brad. It was only two years ago that something happened on the couple’s private plane. Whatever the specifics of the reported altercation between Brad and the couple’s son, Maddox, it led Angelina to file for divorce the next day. She also reported Brad PItt to the FBi — for child abuse. Maddox is old enough that this custody ruling is unlikely to impact him. But it seems likely that, after whatever she witnessed, Angelina is afraid that history will repeat itself. She can’t risk it. But she may have no choice, depending upon what this judge decides. Courts tend to err on the side of giving parents access to their children, out of a belief that this is ultimately best for the child. If Brad convinces the court that he’s probably not a danger to their children, Angelina will be hard pressed to get anything more than joint custody. Whatever happens, we hope that the court makes the right decision for the safety and well-being of the children. That, in the end, is all that matters. Ben Affleck: Crap, Did I Bang Shauna Sexton on Camera?!?

Ben Affleck is here to pass along a very important lesson to all young people out there: Beware of how much you drink… … lest you end up forgetting whether or not you starred in a sex tape opposite your vengeful ex-girlfriend! According to Radar Online, this is the exact predicament in which Affleck now finds himself. The actor ended his relationship with Playmate Shauna Sexton about a month ago, but an insider tells this website that his problems with the sizzling model may only just be starting. That’s because Sexton may soon release an amateur pornography that she made alongside (or perhaps on top of … or maybe in front o f…) Affleck. Upon being dumped, Shauna “told Ben she didn’t need him, and she was going to be the next Kim Kardashian ,” this Radar source explains, adding: “He and his team took that as a threat that she has a sex tape.” But… wait. Wouldn’t Affleck know if Sexton was in possession of a sex tape?!? Not necesarily. Not if Sexton turned on the camera during one of the drinking binges that recently landed Affleck back in rehab and the star literally forogt (or perhaps never knew) this transpired. “He’s been given a stern warning that he can’t trust her,” Radar writes of what Affleck’s inner circle has been telling the actor. “He was so off the deep end when he was with her, that she could have anything to leak – a sex tape of the two of them , Ben doing drugs or drunk, or him just saying stupid stuff he wouldn’t want anyone to hear.” Affleck and Sexton were very hot and quite heavy for most of the summer. Not too long after reports of their relationship went public, Affleck admitted that he needed professional assistance and checked into a rehab facility. And then not too long after this happened, Sexton clapped back at critics who blamed her for Affleck’s demise. “Ben is a grown ass man, baby. He makes his own decisions,” Sexton wrote on Twitter, adding in understandable anger: “Blaming a 22 year old for someone’s 3rd time in rehab is just ridiculous. He is human. I am human. You are human. “We all are going to fuck up it’s just a matter of learning from it. Don’t be so quick to throw shade on people. “Take a step back, accept that we are all on our own journey, and be a little less critical.” Affleck allegedly broke up with Sexton at the advice of friends and loved ones. They thought she was a bad influence on the star as he aimed to sober up for good. Now, however, Affleck may need to reconcile with the lovely young woman — maybe not romantically, but in some sense at least. “Ben originally ignored Shauna, but he plans to talk to her so she calms down,” says this Radar source. “He’s letting her think a reconciliation is in the cards… “Everyone’s worried about how much she knows. So hey, how about last night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, huh? Or, if you didn’t catch it, how about Tristan Thompson and his gross, inconsiderate ways? Yep, last night was the big night. Keeping Up with the Kardashians finally got to the part where everyone discovered that Tristan had cheated on Khloe . It was honestly kind of intense, even though everything happened several months ago and we know how it all turned out. Kourtney called Tristan’s actions “disgusting,” and Kendall said that he was an “idiot.” Keeping Up with the Kardashians Clip: The (Tristan) Truth Comes Out! Meanwhile, Khloe herself took the news pretty well, especially considering that she was just days away from giving birth. As she explained it, she didn’t want to really think about it all or make a big decision about whether or not she’d stay with him. “I just want to go and give birth and try to enjoy this,” she said. She also said that she still wanted him to be in the delivery room with her, and that she didn’t want any of her family members to “make him uncomfortable and make me uncomfortable.” But even though that was her stance, and even though she’s still with him , that doesn’t mean things are fine. She made that perfectly clear in a series of tweets she shared last night. To kick things off, she wrote that “Tonight’s episode is an uncomfortable and super emotional one for me.” “But when we signed up for this show over a decade ago, we signed up for a reality show, which meant showing you guys inside our lives, the good, the bad and the ugly.” Poor Khloe then admitted that “to relive these moments all over again is incredibly difficult,” but that “I also hope that with every trial, tribulation and curve ball life throws at us, that we ALL get to learn from our journeys.” “Amidst the tough times,” she added, “I have been blessed with the ultimate gift, my sweet baby True who has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined.” And for a bit of advice, she told her followers to “remember that you are never alone in your pain, and that everything is temporary.” “Pain, joy, elation, panic, anxiety, it is all temporary. Be grateful for the experiences that continue to build character, and make you who you are.” So it’s clear that the whole mess with Tristan affected her very deeply , right? After all of that, a follower told her that no one would be mad if she just skipped the episode altogether. “I will see how much I can handle,” she replied. “This goes for tonight AND next week.” So there’s more heartbreak next week … ugh. Later, Khloe tweeted about how much she loves doing the show and how she’s “proud that we are all strong and brave enough to be vulnerable.” “BUT we have to start airing shows closer to real time,” she complained. “This episode is about 7 months old and it’s a lot to relive all over again. But maybe I need to.” She discussed some other things from the episode too, but of course she could never get too far from all the drama. At one point, she wrote “Oh my God my heart is racing! So crazy how emotions never die! You may forgive but forgetting is not possible.” You hear that, Tristan? Then, to wrap up her discussion on the episode, she took some time to explain exactly why she didn’t react too strongly to the news of Tristan’s unfaithfulness. Spoiler: it was all for True. “I wanted to have a beautiful birthing experience for myself and for the memories of what I choose to share with True when she’s older,” she said. “I want her to have videos and pictures of her daddy there, holding her etc. I want her to know she is LOVE and my happiness!” “Babies feel energy!” she continued. “I know this! I chose to put my feelings aside for the birth and to try and have as much positive energy that I could.” “My only thought was about the birth of my daughter. I wasn’t going to let ANYONE disrupt anything less than what she deserved. Joyous love.” She wrote that she chose to be strong for her baby, especially since “I waited for this day for so many years!” Looking back on everything now, Khloe realized that she was “in shock because I couldn’t believe that this would ever happen to me.” However, she’s still proud of herself for being so strong and doing what she felt was best for her daughter. “True gave me the peace and strength I needed,” she concluded. It’s so sweet that she felt so strongly about having a positive birth for True, isn’t it? It’s also so sad that she had to make that decision because Tristan couldn’t keep himself from stepping out on his pregnant girlfriend. But let’s try to focus on the very few positive points of this awful story. The very, very few positive points.
