Kris Jenner-Bruce Jenner Split: Could it Mean the End of Keeping Up With the Kardashians?!

Yesterday, we learned that Kris Jenner has filed for divorce from Bruce Jenner after over 20 years of marriage. Since then, there have been a number of reports (many of them conflicting) about how the divorce will play out. The Jenners never signed a prenup, so it looked as though things could get ugly Bruce might end up with a lot of Kris’ cash . Sources close to the couple indicate, however, that Kris and Bruce have had so much time to prepare for the divorce that they’ve actually worked out what they both consider to be a fair split of their estimated $60 million fortune. What they didn’t work out, however, is the future of a property that’s proved incredibly lucrative to both of them – the long-running E! reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians . According to insiders, Kris and Bruce both agreed that he should walk away from the show following the divorce, and while KUWTK could easily continue on without him, several castmates who were rumored to be on the verge of quitting have taken Bruce’s exit as a sign that it’s time to bring the series to a close. Kendall Jenner reportedly wants to distance herself from the series for the sake of her modeling career ( Kendall even dropped the family name ). She’s expected to quit the show, and it’s widely believed that Bruce’s other kids will follow suit. Rob Kardashian and Kanye West have long wanted nothing to do with the series, which would pretty much just leave Kris and her daughters. Not only would that not make for very good viewing, some have suggested that Kim and kompany would be embarrassed to participate in a “reality” show in which so many of their family members are noticeably absent. Matthew Gibson Confesses to 1997 Murder After Receiving Errant Walmart Texts, Fearing For Life

Matthew Gibson, a 55-year-old North Carolina man, finally came clean about a 1997 murder he committed after receiving some texts from Walmart. Say what now? Gibson, 55, showed up in Arizona’s Winslow Police Department, where Det. Alicia Marquez discovered him “sitting in the lobby, scared and sobbing.” “He wanted to talk about crime he committed more than a decade before,” Martinez said, and he recalled meeting a woman one night in Bullhead City, Ariz. They went back to his trailer, where she became “loud and obnoxious” and he asked her to leave. When she refused, Gibson “bludgeoned her to death.” Using a Maglite flashlight, he killed her just like that, then threw her body into the Colorado River, where he buried his secret, seemingly for good. Until Walmart texted. And called. And even sent a hard copy of a letter saying that a prescription for Anita Townshed was ready for pickup, anytime. The actual woman he killed was Barbara Brown Agnew, but Gibson didn’t know that, and was convinced that Townshed was his old victim. He thought someone was monitoring his phone calls and had placed “a contract on his head,” so he hurried up and confessed out of guilt and fear. Gibson, a former drug addict, found religion years ago, his attorney said. “He felt bad,” Ron Gilleo said of his confession. “It was weighing on him.” As for whether this sort of confession is unprecedented? “We see a lot in this line of work,” Marquez told the Charlotte Observer. “He was in fear for his life.” That being said, the case wasn’t just cold, it didn’t exist. Until he confessed, and asked that he be allowed to plead guilty to manslaughter immediately. It’s unclear if he has begun serving his sentence, but he’s definitely earned his place among the strangest criminals and news stories we’ve covered … Strange But True News Hall of Fame 1. Chris Brown Performance Ends in Audience Member Stabbing, No One Surprised

A Chris Brown performance last night ended in someone getting stabbed, and if we ask for a show of hands asking who’s surprised … we don’t expect to see a lot of hands. Law enforcement sources say it’s yet another case of trouble following the R&B singer and his entourage, and that police have been trying to stop this (to no avail). The stabbing took place right after Brown finished his set at a YMCMB Drake-Lil Wayne after-party at Supperclub in Hollywood, according to witnesses and reports. Several people leaving got into a fight and someone got stabbed. The victim, whose identity is not known, was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay. Not unlike when Suge Knight was shot in last month’s possible pre-VMA assassination attempt on Chris Brown , no arrests were made, for a simple reason: No one is coming forward to point any fingers or spill the beans. Police, understandably, are increasingly frustrated by Brown’s entourage, telling TMZ that wherever the singer and his posse go, ” someone ends up bleeding .” 25 Pics of Chris Brown Thuggin’ It! 1. Chris Brown Smoking Weed Chris Brown smoking weed – 3 joints at the same time no less. What a class act as always. “When Brown and his people show, we know what’s going to happen. It’s a headache for us,” one law enforcement team member reportedly said. The LAPD has privately met with club owners around the city, to pressure them into blacklisting Chris and his crew in an attempt to curb the violence preemptively. Perhaps not shockingly, the clubs are still having Chris Brown perform as planned; they make too much coin off the singer, so his peeps are totes welcome. The singer throws around Bloods gang signs and does not keep his affiliation with the street thugs a secret, though he has not been accused of instigating violence. Not directly, anyway. Police believe it “emanates” from Chris and the shady characters who hang around him, and fear this may soon end very badly for someone. But hey … at least he and Drake have quashed the beef.
