By James Dinh Lady Gaga Photo: Getty Images Just a few weeks after the May 23 release of her highly anticipated new album, Born This Way, Lady Gaga will take the stage to perform at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan on June 25. According to a press release, Gaga is the first performer to be announced for the 10th annual MTV Video Music Awards Japan, which is being dubbed the Video Music Aid Japan this year in order to raise awareness about the recent natural disasters that hit the country and benefit the Japanese Red Cross. The international event will be hosted by Japanese pop sensation AKB48 and feature a string of performances from international, regional and Japanese artists. The broadcast will be a highlight of MTV Japan’s Music of Hope campaign, which is the channel’s multiplatform response to the tragic March 11 earthquake and tsunami. In addition to the usual award-show traditions, the program is expected to feature news about the artists and youths who have been impacted by the country’s natural disasters. MTV Video Music Aid Japan will broadcast live from the Makuhari Messe convention center near Tokyo on MTV Japan, MTV Korea, MTV China and MTV Southeast Asia. In addition, a special one-hour version of the event will air on MTV channels worldwide as an installment of the network’s weekly live music series. Mother Monster’s performance at the VMAJ is just another attempt for the pop superstar to assist in the Japan relief efforts. On the very same day that the earthquake hit, Lady Gaga announced that she had designed a special prayer wristband with all of the proceeds from sales going to benefit those affected by the disaster. After two days of sales, Gaga revealed that her fans had raised $250,000 for the victims, tweeting, “Monsters: in just 48 hrs you’ve raised a quarter of a million dollars for Japan Relief.” Are you looking forward to Lady Gaga’s Video Music Aid Japan performance? Justin Bieber Talks Sex, Abortion In Rolling Stone

Justin Bieber Talks Sex, Abortion In Rolling Stone Justin Bieber is the cover boy for the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, and he’s speaking out about abortion, girls, politics…and, to the delight of girlie tweens and teens, his take on sex. The Biebs, 16, who has been romantically linked to Selena Gomez , thinks love should come before sex. “I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them … I think you should just wait for the person you’re in love with,” he says. Check out some more interview highlights below: On politics: “I’m not sure about the parties. But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad.” On abortion: “I really don’t believe in abortion. It’s like killing a baby?” When asked about in the case of rape, he said, “Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.” Selena Gomez is his desktop background: “Near the end of their time together [contributing editor Vanessa] Grigoriadis caught a glimpse of Bieber’s desktop image: It was him and [Selena] Gomez against an orange sunset.” Bieber quickly shut his laptop when Grigoriadis caught sight of it. On never becoming a US citizen: “You guys are evil. Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.” On his voice changing Bieber’s voice began to change on his last tour. He’s now working with a vocal couch, which involves doing 20 push-ups before before a session to warm up his chest. “He’s got a nice tone tone to his voice now,” says his vocal coach Jan Smith. “It’s a good texture, but it doesn’t sound like what his fans think he sounds like. He’ll get four octaves eventually. He’s still young.” Click on over to Rollingstone.com for the full interview.

Another Reason to Hate Justin Beiber: Justin Beiber Calls the United States "Evil"

Justin Beiber is another untalented kid that will soon be thrown away like those who came before him in the pages of lack luster kid acts that didn’t have the longevity to survive. In other words, he’s really a quick buck for record producers and music marketeers. Five years from now, it will be someone new as the 15 minutes of fame for these pop acts are quickly gone. Beiber is coming out as a political left-wing hack. Last week, we found out how Nancy Pelosi is under his spell, and it might have to do with more than just her granddaughters being fans. Beiber is starting to become an activist for the left. Earlier this month, PETA launched their new ad campaign with Beiber. Fortunately, it didn’t follow the traditional PETA advertising campaigns to feature a naked Justin Beiber. In stead, Beiber put his face on some stupid saying–“Animals Make You Smile.” Not that offensive I know. I would have much rather seen a double career killer where he posed naked and PETA was investigated for child porn laws. That didn’t happen. Now, Beiber with his lack of wisdom is commenting on Obamacare. He’s on the cover of the new Rolling Stone trying to look tough but looking like he just came home from a night in Boy’s Town in Chicago’s gay district. The Canadian-born Bieber never plans on becoming an American citizen. ” You guys are evil ,” he jokes. “Canada’s the best country in the world.” He adds, “We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.” So does the Justin Beiber enterprise not provide health insurance for the people working underneath him like his body guard? Who is he calling evil? As well Beiber is making a lot of money in this country he calls “Evil.” Enough money he could easily cover healthcare expenses for employees. At least the kid comes to his senses on abortion. It’s clear, like the rest of these dancing puppet idiots the music industry props up in their early teens, Beiber wants to be taken for something than just an act. Therefore he has to talk politics, something he is obviously confused about considering his belief in social medicine, federal funding for abortions, and his pro-life stance that he’s a little unsure about. – He isn’t sure what political party he’d support if he was old enough to vote. “I’m not sure about the parties,” Bieber says. “But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad.” He does have a solid opinion on abortion. “I really don’t believe in abortion,” Bieber says. “It’s like killing a baby?” How about in cases of rape? “Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I don’t know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.” Whatever they have in Korea? Which Korea, Justin? Obviously public schools in Canada suck too.

Justin Bieber in Rolling Stone on politics: “whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad”

Widdle Justin Bieber is on the cover of Rolling Stone’s March issue with his hair all mussed up and a leather jacket hanging off his shoulder. Rolling Stone has put an excerpt online, and Bieber kind of impressed me when he was talking about Canada’s healthcare system. He’s a religious kid but didn’t say teens should wait to have sex until they’re married, just until they’re in love. He also said he was pro-life and sounded largely clueless when it comes to politics “whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad .” On waiting to have sex until love “I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them,” Bieber says. When asked if he believes in abstinence until marriage, Bieber – who is reportedly dating fellow teen star Selena Gomez – seems wary: “I think you should just wait for the person you’re…in love with.” Selena Gomez is his computer background Near the end of their time together Grigoriadis caught a glimpse of Bieber’s desktop image on his laptop: It was him and Gomez against an orange sunset. Bieber quickly closed the computer when he noticed that Grigoriadis had seen the picture. On Canada’s healthcare system The Canadian-born Bieber never plans on becoming an American citizen. “You guys are evil,” he says with a laugh. “Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.” On politics and abortion He isn’t sure what political party he’d support if he was old enough to vote. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.” On his voice changing Bieber’s voice began to change on his last tour. He’s still young.” [From Rolling Stone ] Did anyone see the episode of “30 Rock” a couple of weeks ago (with Matt Damon!) where Jack and Avery have to have their baby in Canada and get all indignant when they’re told it’s free? That cracked me the hell up. I liked what Bieber had to say about how healthcare is a basic human right, I’ll give him that. He may not have known that there’s a North and South Korea, but he thinks people shouldn’t go bankrupt to pay for medical bills. I would love it if some conservative pundits go after him for calling the US “evil.” Bieber was also on Chelsea Lately this week. When she asked him how he felt about losing out for Best New Artist category at the Grammys this weekend he tried to be be gracious about it. He said he was upset about it and that “ I’m not going to lie, people are expecting me to say something else, but I am disappointed… I’m really excited for her [Esperanza Spalding] she’s worked hard ?” You could tell he didn’t really mean it, but at least he tried. He could have told his fans to step off of her online though. Bieber also said he knew about the website “ Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber ” and seemed ok with it but didn’t say much. He also confirmed that Willow Smith is coming on tour with him overseas. I think the kid is a twit with an overinflated sense of self, but he tries. I was ready to rip on him, but after I watched his Chelsea Lately interview I found him kind of funny. He even ripped on Lady Gaga’s outfits , calling them “weird,” and cracked a joke to Chelsea. She asked him “ when do you have time to look at pictures of me ,” and he said “ I do that all the time. The ones with you and 50 [Cent] .” If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, fast forward to 4:00 in to this interview. Bieber is shown at the Brit Awards on 2/15/11. Credit: WENN.com
