Matt Lauer Affair Alleged; Annette Roque to Divorce Today Show Hunk?

Sources claim that Today host and NBC resident sexy beast Matt Lauer’s affair has led to the imminent demise of his 11-year marriage to model Annette Roque. The National Enquirer does not name the alleged Matt Lauer mistress, but says his marriage is ending and that he is in the market for his own NYC apartment. “I heard he and Annette are breaking up. I was not shocked to hear that but it’s very sad,” Lauer’s ex-wife Nancy Alspaugh tells the celebrity gossip magazine. Annette Roque and Matt Lauer did file for divorce back in 2006 but later reconciled and have three young children together – Jack, 8, and Romy, 6 and Thijs, 2. Matt Lauer and wife Annette Roque have been married 11 years . We’d love to discredit the National Enquirer here, but it’s actually more reliable than people give it credit for – at least when it comes to big bombshell scandals. Bristol Palin’s pregnancy, Michael Jackson’s health woes, Tiger Woods’ affair with Rachel Uchitel and most significantly the Rielle Hunter scandal come to mind. We would not be surprised if its Matt Lauer affair story were true, but we’re holding off judgment for now. What do you think? Did the hunk cheat on Annette?

Kristen Stewart: Not Even a Tiny Bit Pregnant

Welcome to tabloid journalism 101, readers. Pay close attention to this lesson… Earlier this week, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson taped an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show that will air tomorrow afternoon. As reported by THG, the pair met with the host beforehand and were warned that she’d ask about the status of their relationship. At this point, Rob and Kristen admitted they were dating – but said they didn’t wish to discuss it on-air. Oprah said fine, they could shoot down the question however they wanted to when it came up. So, when the cameras rolled and the inevitable was asked, Pattinson joked that Stewart was pregnant. That’s it. End of story. Oprah viewers will see these 10 seconds play out tomorrow, as part of an in-depth interview that reveals actual information. Now, cut to this week’s OK! Weekly cover: SIGH.

Taylor Lautner Tells Oprah He Looks For ‘Loyalty’ In A Relationship

‘Somebody who can totally let loose and pretty much be themselves,’ the ‘Twilight’ star tells the talk-show host about what he’s looking for. By Josh Wigler Taylor Lautner Photo: Cohen/ WireImage Leave it to talk-show host Oprah Winfrey to ask Taylor Lautner the question on the minds of every member of Team Jacob: “If you were choosing the ideal woman for yourself, who would that be?” Lautner, 18, taped an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” recently alongside his “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to promote the release of the franchise’s third installment in June. Although the full interview won’t air until Thursday (May 13), a clip from the episode shows Oprah asking Lautner to elaborate on “the qualities you’re looking for in a relationship.” “Obviously, loyalty,” the “Twilight” star answered after some thought. “Honesty.” There are other qualities that Lautner is seeking, according to the actor’s onscreen romantic rival, Robert Pattinson. “[She] must like beef patties,” he joked of Lautner’s widely publicized “Twilight” fitness diet, prompting an amused Stewart to agree: “[She] must be able to make delicious beef patties.” Beyond loyalty, honesty and beef patties, Lautner said there’s one other crucial quality he looks for in any potential relationship. “Really important to me is somebody who can totally let loose and pretty much be themselves and have fun,” he said. Romance isn’t necessarily the most pressing issue on the young actor’s plate at the moment, of course. In the last few months, Lautner has committed himself to plenty of movie projects including “Stretch Armstrong,” “Abduction,” “Cancun” and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” the fourth and final installment in Summit Entertainment’s supernatural romance franchise. Kristen Stewart Scores Two Best Kiss Nods For MTV Movie Awards

‘New Moon’ and ‘Runaways’ star is up for lip-locks in both films at the awards show. The nomination front-runner snagged six nods but was shut out of the kissing category, leaving room for “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart to dominate. KStew is not only nominated for her steamy kiss with Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” but she could also win for her girly lip-lock with Dakota Fanning in “The Runaways.” Stewart has been quite the busy girl this year! When MTV News caught up with the star last year, we asked which big-screen co-star was the better kisser: RPattz’s Edward Cullen or Fanning’s Cherie Currie . “Cherie, yeah,” Stewart laughed. Still, Stewart will have some stiff competition at the awards show. Also in the running for most memorable smooch are Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds for “The Proposal,” along with Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington for “Avatar.” And yet another “Twilight” star made the list, albeit not for the vampire saga. Taylor Lautner’s kiss with his onetime lady love and co-star Taylor Swift in the rom-com “Valentine’s Day” rounds out this year’s Best Kiss nominees. While “Twilight” fans may be pulling for the series’ stars, Lautner and Swift can probably count on support from “Valentine’s Day” co-star Jessica Alba, who gushed about the pair earlier this year. “Taylor Swift is so cute,” Alba said. “And Taylor Lautner is so cute. ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Dominates MTV Movie Awards Nominations

Thanks to Twilighters’ undying love (and constant voting), “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” has five nominations at this year’s MTV Movie Awards : Best Movie, Best Female Performance (Kristen Stewart), Best Male Performance (Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner), Best Kiss (Stewart and Pattinson) and Global Superstar (a new category this year for which Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner are all nominated). “New Moon” came in just behind “The Hangover,” which scored six nods. In the coveted Best Kiss category, Stewart and Pattinson will defend their title against some familiar and interesting competition. They’ll face Lautner, who is nominated for his kiss with Taylor Swift in “Valentine’s Day,” and Stewart will compete against herself for her kiss with Dakota Fanning in “The Runaways” (other kissing couples include Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds for “The Proposal” and Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington, for “Avatar”). Fitting with the Team Edward vs. Team Jacob rivalry, Pattinson and Lautner will also go head-to-head in the Best Male Performance category (with Channing Tatum in “Dear John,” Daniel Radcliffe in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and Zac Efron in “17 Again” rounding out the rest of the nominees in that category). Only time will tell if box-office juggernaut “Avatar” or comedic king “The Hangover” have equally obsessive fanbases as the Twilighters. But if last year’s seven nominations and five wins are any indication, fans of the scream-inducing franchise will likely have several reasons to celebrate come June. ‘Twilight’ Leaves Its Mark On ‘Popular Baby Names’ List

By Kara Warner Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Entertainment The popularity of “Twilight,” “Vampire Diaries” and other similarly themed pop-culture phenomena has certainly left a deep mark on the entertainment world — but has it left a more literal impression on generations to come? According to the recently released Social Security Administration’s annual “Popular Baby Names” list, it seems that parents have been naming their newborns after “Twilight” characters. According to the report, which tracked the most popular baby names of 2009, the top two names for male and female babies were Jacob and Isabella, which also happen to be the names of two of the main characters in the “Twilight” saga, Jacob Black and Bella Swan, respectively. Both names have been “popular” — in or close to the top 10 — for several years (Jacob has been in the top spot for 11 years), but it is the increased popularity of the name Cullen (after Meyer’s beloved Edward) at #485, having jumped 297 spots from #782 in 2008, that raises the eyebrow. It is also surprising that the first name of Bella’s paramour, Edward, didn’t crack the top 50. (It came in at #137 in popularity for 2009). The 10 most popular girls’ names, in order, are: Isabella, Emma, Olivia, Sophia, Ava, Emily, Madison, Abigail, Chloe and Mia. The 10 most popular boys’ name, also in order, are: Jacob, Ethan, Michael, Alexander, William, Joshua, Daniel, Jayden, Noah and Anthony. Would you name your child after a “Twilight” character? Or any fictional character, for that matter? And what will these kids think of their names in 15-20 years, once they’re old enough to understand what inspired their parents’ choices?
