With the mothership sinking, E! is hoping a daughter can come to its rescue. As previously noted several times over the past few weeks, ratings for Keeping Up with the Kardashians have been plummeting throughout Season 13. While fans ponder whether the end is finally near for this nauseating mainstay, the network has confirmed that Kylie Jenner has officially signed up for her long-rumored spinoff . It will be titled Life of Kylie. (Because it’s about time we were taken inside the life of this notoriously private young woman, right?) The 19-year old, of course, has exploded out of the shadow of sister Kim Kardashian over the past couple years. She heads up a wildly successful cosmetics brand… she often makes news for her roller coaster relationship with Tyga … and she has over 91.1 million Instagram followers. Teases E! News about the latest Kardashian-Jenner spinoff: If you’ve ever wondered what’s it’s really like to be Kylie, wonder no more. The new show, premiering this summer, will expose a personal, more intimate side of makeup entrepreneur as she manages her celebrity persona, multi-million dollar company and, well, just being a teenager. We’d add that if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be Kylie, well, you need to get out a lot more often. “These couple years have been such an incredible journey with the support of my fans,” Kylie says of the impending series, adding as a preview: “This show will allow me to give them a peek inside all of the exciting things I am working on as well as some personal time with friends.” Producers say that Life with Kylie will highlight Kylie’s relationships with her family members and closest friends, including Jordyn Woods; it is scheduled for an eight-episode opening season. “Kylie’s beauty, business savvy and fashion icon status have made her one of the most famous and successful young women on the planet,” Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Programming & Development at E!, says. “Kylie has achieved so much at such a young age and we know the E! audience will be thrilled now that she is ready to share an inside look at her everyday life.” Kylie’s very own show has been an assumed inevitability for years. It joins a list of family spinoffs that includes: Khloe & Lamar Kourtney & Kim Take Miami Kourtney & Kim Take New York Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons Rob & Chyna Dash Dolls I Am Cait None of these shows lasted beyond two seasons. But Kylie is young. She’s intent on remaining Internet famous for decades to come.
