For fans who enjoyed the image of Charlie Sheen as one of the last of Hollywood’s hard-living rebels, reality came crashing down hard when it was revealed last year that the actor suffers from HIV . Sheen is as famous for his decades of partying and bedding famous women as he is for his acting career, but the diagnosis served as a reminder that the self-proclaimed warlock from Mars is, in fact, quite human. Sheen has undergone controversial treatments for his condition, often eschewing traditional medical practices, only to return to them when his symptoms worsen. But that’s not the only way in which Sheen is his own worst enemy when it comes to his health. One of Sheen’s doctors recently stated that he’s more concerned with the actor’s reliance on self-medication to cope with the stress of the illness than with the illness itself. It seems the physician is not alone, as Sheen’s famous family is reportedly deeply worried about his heavy drinking and drug use. Radar Online is reporting today that Sheen is undergoing detox treatment at his father’s Malibu home after nearly dying during a recent bender. It seems Sheen’s party partner of choice these days is actor Tony Todd, and the two of them have been hitting the bottle non-stop in recent weeks. Last week, Todd left Los Angeles last week for a gig, and Charlie’s family reportedly leapt at the chance to “His parents jumped at the opportunity to have Charlie alone,” an insider tells Radar. “They asked him to come out and do a detox at their house in Malibu. With his friends out of the picture they thought this would be the perfect time.” Martin Sheen and his wife are said to be sparing no expense and taking no chances in their efforts to sober Charlie up. The Sheens’ residence is reportedly equipped with “around-the-clock RNs to monitor him and make sure he stays put.” “They give him vitamins in an IV as well as Valium and a few other drugs so he does not have ‘the shakes’ or a seizure from coming off all these months of alcohol,” says the source. The insider adds that Sheen’s parents are doing what they can to make the experience as painless as possible for Charlie, saying: “He’s just binge watching TV shows and sleeping all day and night while his mother cooks him.” Though it’s early in the process, the source says all involved are hopeful with regard to Sheen’s prospects of staying sober. “He is doing well,” the insider notes. “The hope is that this time the treatment will work. He has had friends try this several times over the years — but it has never stuck.” Our thoughts go out to the Sheenius and his family during this difficult time.

Earlier this week, we learned that Kylie Jenner and Tyga have broken up for approximately the 47,000th time. Theories as to why the couple split vary widely, with some claiming Tyga cheated with Demi Rose Mawby (again), and others insisting that Kylie simply got tired of being tethered to a D-list coattail-rider. Now, a new hypothesis has emerged, and it pretty much flips the script on the notion that Kylie was the one settling in the relationship. Radar Online is reporting today that Kylie did dump Tyga , but not because his rap career is a dud. Rather, Radar’s sources claim Kylie was hoping to take the next step, and she became angry when she realized that Tyga wasn’t planning to pop the question any time soon. “Kylie has been begging Tyga to propose to her for years now and she pulled the plug on this relationship because she was tired of waiting,” says one insider. The source adds that Kylie’s ego was bruised by Tyga’s refusal to propose, and she may have been bluffing when she kicked him to the curb. “She has been trying to force him into marrying her and seems to think that Tyga cannot live without her,” the tipster claims. “But she’s wrong because he clearly can and does!” Now, it’s a standoff, as both sides are reportedly waiting for the other one to cave. But that might be as futile as waiting for an apology from Donald Trump to apologize for something, as the same qualities that brought Tyga and Kylie together might permanently drive them apart. Sources say they’re both remarkably strong-willed, and in this case, that could be their undoing. Those closest to the couple say (to the surprise of absolutely no one) Kylizzle and T-Raww both have huge egos. It created problems when they were together, and now that they’re apart, it might create a situation where neither side is willing to swallow their pride for the sake of the relationship. “It seems like she annoys him more than anything lately because she is not the same girl that he fell for,” the insider claims. “Lately it’s always just seemed like the Kylie Show guest starring Tyga and it looks like he couldn’t take that anymore!” Unfortunately for Tyga, a guest-starring role on the Kylie Show might be his best career option these days. Alec Baldwin has a new memoir out, and like most things the sometimes-beloved actor is involved with, the release has not been without its share of controversy. Yes, Baldwin opens up on his feud with Trump . (He even admits they have some things in common!) And yes, he apologizes for being verbally abusive to Ireland Baldwin when she was a child (still hates her mom, though). But Baldwin likely penned those parts of his memoir knowing they would spark some conversations that would hopefully lead to a boost in sales. What he probably didn’t anticipate, however, is the brewing scandal surrounding the portion of the book that concerns a racy scene he shot with Nikki Reed in 2006 … when the actress was just 16 years old. Writing about his experiences shooting the indie film Mini’s First Time, Baldwin had this to say: “I was 47, and it never occurred to me to ask how old Nikki Reed was.” “When I found out, just as we finished, that she was 17, I flipped out on the producers, who had told me something different.” Now, Dana Brunetti, a producer on the film, is claiming Baldwin is doubly full of it: Brunetti says not only was Reed only 16 (not 17, as Baldwin claims), but that Baldwin was fully informed of her age before the scene was shot. “My first indie film was Mini’s starring @AlecBaldwin who knew @NikkiReed_I_Am was 16 (not 17) and he didn’t mind,” Brunetti tweeted last night. “In fact (Reed) was one of four actresses (Baldwin) had approved and her being the only one of those four repped by his own agency CAA.” Brunetti went into greater detail in an interview with The Hollywood Reporte r today, even going so far as to hit Baldwin with a Trump-related burn: “It’s a lie,” Brunetti tells the magazine. “I read it and was like, ‘What the f—. Of course he totally knew how old she was.” Brunetti added: “He knew before we even cast the movie. I think he’s been method acting Trump too much and he doesn’t know the difference between fake news anymore.” Fellow producer Ethan Astrowski backed up Brunetti’s version of events, stating: “What Alec says happened is not accurate. I completely corroborate that. We were on set every day.” The scene was perfectly legal due to the fact that Reed remained at least partially clothed, but lying about it is still not a good luck for Baldwin. And he was having such a great, relatively scandal-free year, too! Oh, well. There’s always 2018!
