Remember when MTV (music television) actually used to play music videos on TV? Yeah, we do too. Pour one out for the good ol’ days … After three years of airing ’round-the-clock music, MTV unleashed a phenomenon known as Video Music Awards upon the world in 1984. The idea? Lisa Vanderpump: Family Cuts Ties With "Egomaniac" Reality Star

Lisa Vanderpump is good at keeping up appearances, but these days, the Bravo star has more than her fair share of problems. For starters, despite Vanderpump’s astronomical  Real Housewives of Beverly Hills salary , she and her business partners are reportedly losing their shirts in the restaurant business. In fact, Vanderpump sold one of her restaurants last month, following a devastating sexual harassment lawsuit from one of her employees. Her other LA hot spot, Sur, may soon go on the auction block as well. To make matters worse, a recent report Radar Online says things aren’t going any better in Lisa’s personal life: Sources say several members of Lisa’s family have completely cut ties with the the reality star, claiming that she’s become an “egomaniac” since gaining fame. “They have given her too many chances and they cannot stand the person she has become,” says an insider close to the family. “They do not even recognize her anymore and want nothing to do with her.” Sad stuff, but apparently Lisa couldn’t care less: She’s stated in the past, “My family has not supported my decision to venture into this world.” The source confirms that Lisa is not at all concerned with the opinions of her relatives:  “Lisa is so caught up in her world, she does not care what her family or anyone else thinks of her.” That’s all well and good when you’re rich, but if Lisa’s restaurants keep tanking, she might soon wish she hadn’t burned so many bridges. Recently, Lady Gaga has been criticized for gaining weight , and she’s become a target for the sort of hateful attacks that are sadly commonplace on Internet comment boards. Fortunately, rather than lashing out at her detractors online, Gaga has simply responded by consistently looking fabulous on Instagram. First, she posted a photo labeled “curvy and proud” – her way of subtly acknowledging the criticism while at the same time assuring fans that she has no plans to change anything about her appearance.  Then over the weekend, Gaga posted the photo below to her Instagram page, confirming once and for all that she’s big in all the right places. Namely, her hair and her Kardashian-esque backside. This time, the Mother Monster didn’t waste any time on the haters, and captioned the photo simple, “Pool time babies.” Within minutes, the phrase “dat ass” appeared about 4,000 times in the comments. Yes, despite the ginormous Jackson 5 afro, everyone’s still staring at her curves. If that doesn’t reassure Gaga that everything’s where it should be, nothing will. Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have been dating since 2011, but Gaga has stated repeatedly that she has no plans to settle down in the near future, as her top priorities are her career and her fans. Thus far, the Mother Monster has shot down all rumors that she’s engaged to Kinney , but according to witnesses, on a recent Toronto shopping spree may Gaga may have inadvertently spilled the beans about her upcoming nuptials. Witnesses say Gaga seemed very interested in the wedding dresses at a swanky boutique while on tour in the Ontario city. Even more telling – Gaga flew her mother in to help with the selection process. Stefani Germanotta is not a woman who’s ever had trouble picking out clothes. If she brought her mother along to help her pick out a gown, then clearly this dress is for a very special occasion.  “I JUST HAD THE GREATEST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OF ALL TIME,” Gaga later tweeted. “IT WAS LIKE CARDIO AND DRUGS MAYBE NOT HEALTHY BUT THE VINTAGE WAS.” Oh, Gaga. American Student Gets Stuck in Enormous Vagina Sculpture

According to NBC News, an American exchange student sparked an “extraordinary rescue mission” last week when his leg got stuck inside a giant vagina sculpture in Tuebingen, Germany. “It was a dare,” fire department squad leader Markus Mozer explained to NBC . “The young man had tried to pose for an unusual photo and climbed into the artwork.” And, come on, fellas. We all know how complicated it can be once you’re inside there. It took a total of 22 rescue workers (seriously!!!), along with special equipment, to wedge the 20-year old out after about a half hour. The six-foot replica of female genitalia was put in place 13 years ago outside the microbiology and virology department of the city’s university clinic. It’s worth nearly $200,000.
