Lamar Odom Suffers Heroin Relapse After Losing Friends Lamar Odom has yet to fully recover from his drug addiction after splitting with Kloe Kardashian. Now the former baller is said to have relapsed and doing heroin in shady hotel rooms… Via Life & Style : Lamar Odom is still battling his old demons. A friend tells Life & Style that the former basketball star relapsed during a visit with Jamie Sangouthai, who died in June from an infection contracted through IV drug use. During a stay at a Best Western in LA about two months before, the men left behind traces of black tar heroin, straws and burnt tinfoil — evidence they’d been inhaling the drug, a method known as “chasing the dragon.” Photos obtained exclusively by Life & Style “definitely show black tar heroin,” says substance abuse counselor Dr. Alicen McGowan. “The heroin is placed on top of tinfoil and a lighter heats it from below. A person uses a straw to inhale the vapors.” A friend of Lamar’s tells Life & Style, “Lamar left for Las Vegas in mid-May, and he’s been regularly getting high.” And while he’s assured friends he’ll seek treatment, Lamar’s strange behavior, slurred speech and mood swings are making those close to him increasingly worried. “His friends are scared that he’ll wind up like his friend Bobby Heyward and Jamie,” the pal says. At best, Sherri Shepherd’s child custody and support case has been complicated. Sherri and her ex-husband, Lamar Sally, have been battling over custody and financial responsibility for their baby born via surrogate last year. What makes this case unique though is that once Lamar and Sherri split, Sherri went back-and-forth over whether or not she wanted anything to do with their surrogate baby. Eventually, she decided she did not want any responsibility for the child. But, in April, a judge declared Sherri Shepherd the legal mother of the baby. Now, the former View co-host has to live up to that obligation by paying $4,100 per month in child support. The baby is currently 10 months-old. Sherri will have to pay $4,1000 a month until Lamar Jr. is 13-years-old. When the child turns 13, the payment will increase to $4,6000 a month. The case definitely didn’t pan out the way Shepherd had wished. But she is still able to move forward with a fraud claim against her estranged husband. She claims the request for child support is fraudulent. If the courts agree, she will no longer be required to pay support. Shepherd is also asking that the remaining embryos she shared with Lamar be destroyed. Lamar is “undecided” about whether or not to keep the embryos. However, the agreement stands that if any of the remaining embryos are brought to term, Shepherd has no financial responsibility.
