Happy Fourth of July, celebrity gossip fans. Below, The Hollywood Gossip staff takes a look back at what was a tragic, eventful week in the celebrity world. As you all know, one story dominated the news … The cause of Michael Jackson’s death is looking more and more like an overdose of dangerous prescription drugs. An LAPD and DEA investigation continues. Meanwhile, Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe wants custody of “her” kids, while speculation persists that he was not the biological father of his own children. Dermatologist Arnold Klein , who treated MJ, is rumored to be the actual dad. Media coverage of Jackson’s demise has run the gamut. The OK! cover pic showed him dying, while Life & Style alleges he someone killed him. Amazing. In a new interview, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag say birth control is a conspiracy, think September 11 was an ” inside job ,” abhor fame, etc.

Madonna publicist Liz Rosenberg says she is going to unveil a special choreographed dance in honor of Jackson. Madonna is paying tribute to Michael Jackson in the same arena where he was to stage his great comeback. Britney Spears Live Performs at O2 Arena in London

Tonight will take to the stage in front of 23,000 screaming fans at ‘s O2 Arena.

If all goes to plan the 27-year-old will belt out her hits – as she has on every other date of her hugely successful Circus tour.

But just 18 months ago such a scene would have been unimaginable following her very public unravelling at the MTV Video Music Awards – a performance billed as her comeback.

Kris Allen Theatrical singer Adam Lambert had a fog-filled entry, but it may have the American Idol Season Eight title dreams of cool crooning Kris Allen that went up in smoke during the final song of a much-anticipated showdown Tuesday. It seems like just yesterday that controversial American Idol Season Eight champion Kris Allen was bathing in championship ticker tape. The show’s summer has yet to start (July 5) a 50-city jambourie, many are still buzzing about what show host Jimmy Fallon has called “textgate,” while Adam Lambert fans are pensively awaiting the next issue of Rolling Stone where it’s alleged that the runner-up will lift a season-long cloud about his gender preference.
