Good News: Kansas City Chief’s Jovan Belcher’s 9-Month-Old Daughter Appointed Legal Guardian

We’re glad this little girl will have someone to look after her. Judge Decides Custody Of Jovan Belcher’s Daughter Why did he not think about his daughter before doing something so horrible? According to TMZ It’s been 7 months since Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher murdered his girlfriend and then shot himself … but now a judge has finally decided who will get custody of the NFL player’s 9-month-old daughter. A probate judge in Missouri has appointed Sophie D. Perkins as the legal guardian of Zoey Michelle Belcher. Perkins is Zoey’s first cousin (once removed) on her mother’s side. Zoey’s mother — Kasandra Perkins– was shot to death by Belcher on December 1st, 2012. Belcher then drove to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City … where he killed himself. Jovan’s mother had tried to obtain custody of the child — but the judge clearly felt Perkins was the better choice. According to court docs, Zoey will inherit Jovan’s estate — which has been valued at $799,119.85. She’s also reportedly set to receive at least $1,000,000 from the NFL … plus $1.2 million from a life insurance policy. The main cause of this tragedy was that Jovan was a little boy in a man’s body. Therefore, he didn’t know how to handle a disagreement with his girlfriend and killed her. This type of beyotchazzness is common in about 80 percent of black males. Sad. Continue reading →

Lindsay Lohan Sued According to TMZ Lindsay Lohan has just been sued for $5 million she doesn’t have … all because of her highly-publicized drug problems, TMZ has learned. D.N.A.M. Apparel Industries — a clothing manufacturer — just filed the countersuit against Lindsay in response to Lindsay’s lawsuit against the company. In her lawsuit, Lindsay says she struck a business deal with D.N.A.M. in 2009 allowing them to manufacture clothes for her “6126″ clothing line — but D.N.A.M. stiffed her on a massive licensing fee. Lindsay wants $1.1 million in damages. But D.N.A.M. is now coming back at Lindsay for nearly five times that amount, insisting SHE’S the reason their business deal fell apart. According to D.N.A.M., the company did its darndest to sell their 6126 clothes to high-end third party retailers — but by spring 2010, no one would touch the brand … because Lindsay was back in rehab … and her legal problems were playing out in the media “like a Greek tragedy.” D.N.A.M. claims Lindsay’s “drug-addled image” destroyed 6126′s reputation, and rendered the clothing line completely unsellable. D.N.A.M. says it invested millions in 6126 for nothing — and now it’s suing for breach of contract and fraud, demanding at least $5 million in damages. And the irony … Lindsay’s currently back in rehab yet again. Lindsay’s attorney, Perry C. Wander, tells TMZ … “The license agreement does not have a morals clause that allows the company to suspend payment for any behavior. The contract is not in LL name thus she cannot be held personally liable. The cross claim is therefore frivolous and totally without merit and will be defended vigorously”. Damn Lindsay. You can’t sell clothes, movies, cheese….. nothing.

Conrad Murray: Leave Me Out of MJ Lawsuit … OR ELSE!

Dr. Conrad Murray wants to be left out of the Michael Jackson wrongful death lawsuit , or else … he claims seriously bad things are gonna go down. Murray made this veiled threat last night in a bizarre, rambling voicemail he left on a friend’s voicemail, which TMZ obviously obtained , and it’s amazing. The doctor, who’s serving time for manslaughter in the 2009 death of Jackson, says that if he is forced to testify in the upcoming court case … watch out. Conrad Murray tells his friend that, in no uncertain terms: “If I am compelled to speak. I can cause one party or the other to experience the impact of an immediate seismic shock, resulting in a total and complete debacle.” So it’ll be like a 7.0 earthquake here. Of the legal variety. Murray was subpoenaed to testify in Katherine, Prince, Blaket and Paris Jackson’s $40 billion lawsuit against AEG, but has pleaded the fifth so far. MJ’s former physician doesn’t want to incriminate himself in any proceedings that could jeopardize his appeal to overturn his manslaughter conviction. Makes sense … but it makes you wonder. What’s he not saying about his relationship with AEG, and/or the late King of Pop’s family, that he don’t know? He didn’t specify who he’s dropping the bomb on. Hmm …

Kandi Esplains Her “Tardy For The Party” Lawsuit Against Kim Zolciak, “I Don’t Want That Ho Makin’ No More Money Off My WORK!”

What had happened is… In light of the recent lawsuit she filed against former friend Kim Zolciak involving the song they created for years ago, Kandi is keeping it all the way gangsta about why she had to file them papers! In an exclusive statement to HipHollywood , Kandi explained that she did want to file the suit, but had no other choice, saying: “It’s time for the whole ordeal to be over. I asked TuneCore to take the song down in December 2012. They did. Kim sent an affidavit to put it back up, which they did. TuneCore then informed me that in order for the song to be taken down permanently I would need to file suit to have it removed. I never wanted to go that route but after being told that it is the only way to get the song removed, I had no other choice.” Kandi penned the hit smash for Kim back in 2009, but has expressed several times over the years that she wasn’t properly compensated for her royalties. Kim also released a statement, claiming that Kandi’s actually been overpaid and the lawsuit is a publicity stunt, via TooFab: “This is nothing short of a publicity stunt, I find this lawsuit funny yet sad. Coming after me now and this song is 4 years old? I have in fact overpaid Kandi and have documents to prove it and my legal team will handle this accordingly.” Kandi however refuted those claims telling HipHollywood , “This is not a publicity stunt. I no longer wish for anyone to benefit from the work that Don Vito and I created.” Kim’s “RHOA” spin-off, ironically titled “Don’t Be Tardy,” premieres on April 16th. We’re sure this lawsuit will be a hot topic on the show, especially since fellow cast mate Phaedra Parks is representing Kandi. Isht is real… Kandi basically created a whole brand for Kim and the beyotch has been nothing but disrespectful. Can you blame her for the lawsuit? Get ya paper Kandi! BravoTV

Lindsay Lohan Case: Actual Competent Lawyer Joins Defense Team

A California lawyer named David Wohl may be Lindsay Lohan’s best chance to stay out of jail, and he’s trying to come on board her legal team before trial. Wohl wants to join New York attorney Mark Heller – who the judge reamed out as incompetent – when Lindsay’s case comes before the court March 18. The judge told Heller at a pretrial hearing to either bring in a California defense attorney who has a clue, or have LiLo waive her right to competent representation. Michael Lohan found Wohl, who’s practiced criminal defense law for 25 years and has offices in Orange County, and he is ready and willing to help.  Wohl, who has handled cases ranging from shoplifting to murder over his career, has been in daily contact with Heller about the Lindsay Lohan case. LiLo hasn’t given Wohl her stamp of approval … yet. But even if she doesn’t, TMZ reports that MiLo has asked the attorney to show up in court with Heller anyway to force the issue, so stay tuned there. The actress is looking at up to eight months in jail for lying to police and violating probation. So far, overtures toward a plea deal have been rebuffed. One could still be struck at any time before the trial date, or even during the trial, if she actually agrees to go to rehab and get the help she needs. Don’t hold your breath for that scenario, though. Would require Lindsay Lohan using her brain, making a logical decision and being at all self-aware. Will she go to jail?!   Yes. Michael Jordan Love Child Begged Mom to File Lawsuit

The mother of Michael Jordan’s alleged love child never planned to file a paternity suit against the NBA legend, but the child himself reportedly insisted. According to TMZ, Pamela Smith had no desire to sue Jordan until her son pleaded with her to make his (alleged) dad admit paternity and pay support. Taj Jordan (Michael Jordan Secret Son) Video Pamela Smith is suing Michael for just that, paternity and child support, claiming MJ got her pregnant while he was still married to Juanita Vanoy. Sources close to Smith, who says Jordan knocked her up in 1995, has always had a good relationship with Michael and doesn’t need the money. However, it was her son Grant Reynolds (a.k.a. Taj Jordan) who desperately wants MJ to acknowledge him and urged her to file the legal documentation. Smith’s intention, her friends say, was never to “call Michael out” but simply to have the (alleged) father be a bigger part of his life for his sake. Allegedly, Michael and Grant have met a few times over the years. Pamela claims Michael has even given the family money and gifts here and there. Grant, 16, always had to keep it a secret, though … until he apparently decided not to anymore. The teen made the above video last December. No response yet from Jordan or his camp.

President Barack Obama will join Democratic and Republican congressional leaders next week for the ceremony to unveil a statue of civil rights icon Rosa Parks at the U.S. Capitol—the first statue of an African-American woman in the halls of Congress. In 1955, Parks, a Montgomery, Ala., seamstress, refused to give up her seat on a public bus to a white man. She was convicted of violating the state’s segregation laws, and her legal battle ultimately reached the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled the bus segregation law unconstitutional. In April 2012, Obama visited the Henry Ford Museum after a campaign rally in Dearborn, Mich. Official White House photographer Pete Souza snapped a picture of the president sitting on the Rosa Parks bus. Republican House Speaker John Boehner and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid invited Obama to attend the unveiling. “We will come together to celebrate the life and legacy of Mrs. Parks, whose statue will be the first of an African-American woman in the Capitol,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter to Obama. “This is a national statue and this ceremony will be a national moment, an occasion to recount a watershed event in our history and reaffirm our capacity to confront injustice and lift each other up.” True dat. Kris Humphries to Choose Divorce Trial Over NBA Playoffs

While trade rumors continue to circulate around Kris Humphries , this loser of a power forward is reportedly giving the Nets another reason to ship him out as soon as possible. The baller’s divorce trial against Kim Kardashian is scheduled for May 6, smack dab in the middle of the NBA playoffs. Will Kris therefore skip the legal proceedings, which could easily go on without him? Will he agree to settle before this mess goes in front of a judge? No and no, according to TMZ sources. Humphries has apparently already decided to skip any playoff games that fall on the same day as the trial because he is just THAT determined to embarrass his ex-wife. The news comes on the heels of Humphries’ attorney dropping Kris as a client and with anyone of sound body and mind knowing he has NO chance at successfully arguing that Kim duped him into a marriage. Then again, with Humphries only averaging 6 points and 6 rebounds per game, the Nets may be thrilled to see him voluntarily sit a game or two out.

Kim Kardashian: Kris Humphries is Threatening My Baby!

It is officially on between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. For real this time. Not long after Humphries’ lawyer questioned why Kim’s pregnancy should play any role in her divorce case against his client, Kardashian has gone on the offensive against the Nets power forward. In a declaration filed today, Kim says that Humphries isn’t simply irritating her by dragging his legal feet… he’s putting the “health and well-being of my unborn child” at risk. This assertion follows the claim that Kardashian has been experiencing severe pregnancy pains as a result of divorce-related stress. Kim says she simply wants to move on and that an official split “will help create a new, full life for me,” once again using her fetus as a figurative weapon against her ex-lover. Overall, Kardashian argues, Humphries “is in control of my misery” and she wants this mess to be over. And, finally, on that, THG has found something on which it can Kim Kardashian can agree.
