Like his play on the court, Kris Humphries is getting aggressive in his legal battle against Kim Kardashian , as a lawyer for this NBA power forward has released a statement regarding his client’s stance in the ex-couple’s impending divorce case. To Life & Style . “Much effort and energy to misdirect the public’s perception of what transpired between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries has taken place over the past several months. This case will not be resolved in the court of public opinion amidst ridiculous and defamatory allegations and personal attacks directed against Kris Humphries. Rather, this case will be appropriately investigated and litigated professionally and with integrity,” said this attorney… to Life & Style . Humphries’ legal team is comprised of Lee A. Hutton III of Lommen Abdo and Marshall Waller and Sandra Salinas of Feinberg & Waller. One of them has shot down the notion that Kris asked for $7 million in exchange for his silence, while another tells the tabloid : “One thing is certain: Kris Humphries intends to set the record straight.”
Lindzi Cox feels no animosity toward Ben Flajnik for rejecting her on The Bachelor finale Monday. That said, she did get in a nice dig at Courtney Robertson. “She was nude a lot,” Cox said today on Good Morning America . “Maybe if I went skinny-dipping I wouldn’t be here with you.” Despite being sent home at the final rose ceremony (below), the 27-year-old development manager says of Ben Flajnik , “I wish him nothing but the best.” The Bachelor Finale: Lindzi Cox Rejected “At the end of the day, yeah, maybe it was really tough on me for a little bit, but he made a decision, it was what’s best for him, and I respect that.” “When I watch it on TV, I could see why he’s with [Courtney Robertson],” she added. “They really did have a solid connection throughout.” The jilted Bachelor contestant didn’t appear on the After the Rose special Monday, as she felt Ben and Court had too many bigger issues to address. “Ben and Courtney came out and it was pretty emotional … I think it was tough for them. I’m in a good place. I don’t really need closure,” Cox said. “I think Ben has bigger things to worry about… I’m in a good place. I learned a lot about the experience. It’s awesome. I would totally go do it again.” Will Ben and Courtney last?
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are engaged in a game of He Said/She Said/Nobody Cares. According to reports, the Nets rebounding machine is asking for $7 million in order to agree to a quickie divorce… or else he’ll take the reality star to court and do all he can to expose their marriage as a money-making scam. But those in Kim’s camp believe the request and the entire complaint is absurd, considering Humphries also cashed in on the wedding , earning a cool million bucks for the selling of photos, along with over $250,000 for each Keeping Up with the Kardashians appearance. Where is all that money now? In a joint account he’s never touched, Kris says. In his own account he most certainly HAS touched, Kardashian says. For now, the joint account that was actually shared by the couple is being frozen by a judge until the mess is sorted out. Who will be the winner in this legal battle? Most certainly not the public, that much we know.
One-off presentation of ‘8,’ directed by Rob Reiner, will be streamed live March 3. By Jocelyn Vena George Clooney Photo: Getty Images If you thought the George Clooney / Brad Pitt bromance was only reserved for “Ocean’s Eleven”” movies, the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards , well, think again. Pitt has just signed on to join his longtime pal for the West Coast production of “8,” a play based on the landmark Proposition 8 trial in California. According to E! News , Pitt will play Prop 8 opposer U.S. District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker, and Clooney will play David Boies, an attorney who sought to overturn the highly publicized ban. Written by Oscar-winning “Milk” screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, the play has a star-studded cast that includes Martin Sheen, Christine Lahti, Jamie Lee Curtis, Matthew Morrison, Matt Bomer, Kevin Bacon, Jane Lynch, John C. Reilly, Campbell Brown, Chris Colfer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Cleve Jones, Rory O’Malley, George Takei, Yeardley Smith, Vanessa Garcia, Jansen Panetierre, James Pickens Jr. and Bridger Zadina, according to CNN . “8” follows the legal process behind the overturning of Proposition 8, the California law that outlawed gay marriage. The play already ran on Broadway last September and will go on tour through 2012, with different actors taking on roles along the way. The one-show-only Clooney-Pitt production takes place on March 3 and will be streamed live on YouTube, according to the American Foundation for Equal Rights and Broadway Impact. Rob Reiner is directing. Clooney recently made headlines when he addressed long-standing gay rumors about himself in The Advocate . “My private life is private, and I’m very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I’m gay? I’ll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don’t give a sh–.” As for his friendship with Pitt, Clooney said, “People think Brad and I hang out all the time, but the truth is that we see each other very rarely, maybe a couple times a year. I do think we’ve set the bar very high [for other actor duos] … I’m very proud to call him my friend.” Related Videos Oscars 2012: Red Carpet Highlights
Critics agree that rapper’s new women’s line is an improvement over last year’s. By Rob Markman Kanye West greets the audience after his show at Paris Fashion Week. Photo: Getty Images There is no quit in Kanye West . After critics picked and prodded at the first showing of his women’s wear line in October, Yeezy returned to the big stage on Tuesday night in France at the fall/winter ready-to-wear show with his new collection for Paris Fashion Week. Diddy, Kim Kardashian, Shyne and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour were all there as ‘Ye offered up what many critics described as a Givenchy-inspired look. There were leathers, backless motorcycle jackets, inventive knee-high boots, furs and go-karts — yes, go-karts. Comparisons to West’s first showing are inevitable, even if the rapper/ producer/ overall creative spirit feels that he was unfairly judged during the first go-round. “I got treated unfairly by the press last time. Why would I want to do this?” Kanye said to a roomful of editors after deciding to cancel a pre-show collection preview. Well, whatever doesn’t kill Kanye only makes him stronger. Here’s what the critics had to say about the Louis Vuitton Don’s new threads. Catch up on everything you missed with MTV Style’s Live Blog and Recap! “This show started out OK, with a series of tough-looking black leather and suede outfits based off of a motorcycle jacket. And it ended with go-karts spinning around two tracks on either side of the runway, which made Anna Wintour smile. His leather skirts had a stiff half-ruffle pointing out at the hems. Karlie Kloss wore a leather jacket that, kind of interestingly, had no back, but then there was again a preponderance of questionable fur looks, including pants that were broadtail on the front, clingy fabric on the back.” — Eric Wilson, New York Times “This collection was better. Markedly. I just hope Kanye West continues to show. And learns to show off. If it’s true what they say and he’s formed a think tank of sartorial smartypantses they should help him realize the visual equivalent of what he’s capable of aurally. This is what I expect of him and I refuse to lower my expectations.” — — Mary H.K. Choi, MTV Style . “Yes, the dark haute-goth looks were very Givenchy-Mcqueen-Balenciaga-ish. Very. But given the scathing criticism he got last year, it’s clear Kanye had better planning, better execution, and vastly better fittings this time around. Oh, and once again, his shoe fetish takes center stage. Last year it was those beaded/pearled bangle sandals. This time, sky high Feyd-Rautha-style strap boots.” — Miss Info “First the bad news: This Kanye West collection was so Givenchy-esque that it’s embarrassing that Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci was an expected guest. Kanye, whatever your legal arrangement, cribbing is cribbing. Ten points off for copying the smart guy sitting next to you. Next, the good news: this Kanye collection is a massive improvement. When I asked how he managed it, Mr. West dissembled and said he’d spent a lot of time in ‘libraries.’ ” — Christina Binkley, Wall Street Journal Related Photos Kanye West Paris Fashion Week Fall 2012 Related Artists Kanye West
Lohan scored early laughs as host but ‘Saturday Night Live’ castmembers did heavy comedic lifting. By Ryan J. Downey Lindsay Lohan Photo: FilmMagic Following a week of self-deprecating promos and a cold open starring Jason Sudeikis as Mitt Romney and Andy Samberg as Kid Rock, Lindsay Lohan ‘s monologue dove right on top of the white elephant inside New York’s Studio 8H: her troubles. And while the crowd (and cast) was clearly supportive during at the top of the show, the evening’s sketches featured “SNL” regulars doing the comedic heavy lifting. Lohan’s lines were noticeably few. When she did speak, she clearly read from cue cards. But the monologue was a great start. Clad in a form fitting blue dress with a leggy slit, she began: “I feel lucky and grateful to be here tonight and that’s why I really want to thank all of my friends at ‘SNL’ who trusted me enough to have me back. This studio feels like home to me,” then suddenly, a mock “house arrest” style alarm sounded when she started to move. “Wait, so the alarm goes off if I leave the stage? I thought it was if I left the studio!” she said, to supportive laughs. Keenan Thompson was soon by her side, pretending to check her eyes for dilation. Lohan said she could just as easily be checking him, to which he replied, “Oh, I’ll save you the trouble! I’ve been stoned since ‘Good Burger!’ ” Kristen Wiig was out next. “I do get the feeling that everybody thinks I’m going to screw something up,” Lohan told the “Bridesmaids” star. “Everybody believes in you,” Wiig said. “We wouldn’t have you back otherwise.” The audience applauded those lines pretty loudly. Then Wiig immediately pretended to pat the host down, jokingly explaining, “I’m a lesbian now.” “Been there done that,” Lohan replied. As expected, following Lohan’s invitation on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday, Fallon made a short, supportive appearance. “The new / old Lindsay Lohan is back!” the “SNL” veteran declared. “Are you sure?” she asked sheepishly. “You’re the same little girl who stole our hearts in ‘The Parent Trap,’ you’re the teenager who dazzled us in ‘Mean Girls,’ ” he said, all to loud cheers. “You’re the lady who absolutely blew us away in ‘The Help.’ ” The last line, of course, was a reference to Emma Stone, who played a dazed and confused Lohan in a 2010 “SNL” sketch. “You can do this,” he added. “And if for any reason you can’t, Jon Hamm is on standby as backup host.” Sure enough, the “Mad Men” star (who was in “Bridesmaids,” and had a recurring role on “30 Rock,” as well) was right there in the audience. While Hamm never stepped in to take over, the early consensus online was that Lohan was given noticeably little to do and relied heavily on cue cards and / or teleprompters. To be fair, the long-running iconic show is famously rewritten and rehearsed until the eleventh hour and many hosts (and castmembers) often read cue cards. The studio crowd seemed to want to support her, but Twitter users were much less forgiving. “This may be the first time Lindsay Lohan had trouble doing lines,” @DrunkEnough said. “The paddling to Comeback Island would be more believable if Lohan didn’t need a teleprompter to remember the plots of her own movies,” tweeted @Shinangovani. A “Real Housewives of Disney” sketch, during which Lohan threw a mean right cross as a Rapunzel who knowingly wasn’t much different than Lohan’s own public persona, mostly killed. But it was followed by a flat “2012 Psychic Awards” bit opposite Bill Hader where her reliance on off-camera lines became extremely clear. Next, Hader, Andy Samberg, Bobby Moynihan and Jason Sudeikis were in their usual roles in a “scared straight” sketch, where Thompson played the prison inmate whose stories are derived from famous movies and whose taunts are filled with increasingly vulgar sexual innuendo. “My name is Lorenzo Macintosh,” Thompson said, with the show’s host beside him. “And I’m Lindsay Lohan,” she replied to much applause, scoring more points with self-deprecation. The “scared straight” sketch had more lines for Lohan than anything else in the episode. There were jokes about spending time in rehab in Malibu and a reference to “Herbie: Fully Loaded,” “Freaky Friday,” “The Parent Trap,” “Mean Girls” and the $2500 necklace she was accused of stealing from an L.A. jewelry store, a violation of her probation from a 2007 driving case. “If you ever think of stealing a diamond,” she warned the trio of young hooligans, “just remember: ‘every kiss begins with rape.’ ” She read all of the lines, flubbing some of them. After Jack White’s first musical segment and a Lohan-less “Weekend Update,” the host returned as part of a group of ’50s style “delinquent teen girls” dancing in a busy street. Fred Armisen, in drag, was the focal point of the sketch. Lohan did more dancing than speaking (though she looked great in her extremely short shorts) and was absent from the night’s first digital short. As the show hit the hour mark, Lohan had appeared only three times since her opening monologue. A sketch about a hip-hop morning radio show in Minnesota included Lohan as “our intern, illiterate Lisa.” Two castmembers played the show’s hosts and another castmember played the “news lady.” Lohan’s character briefly read some incorrect copy (she was “Illiterate Lisa,” after all) but the “SNL” trio handled all of the proverbial heavy lifting as the sketch went on. Next was a pharmaceutical commercial sketch featuring Wiig and Hader. Lindsey was once again nowhere to be found. “East coasters, what’s happening on #SNL? Should I keep practicing and working hard at what I do, or is that not necessary any more?” tweeted Josh Groban. “That awkward moment when you’re hosting #SNL but you aren’t the star of any of the sketches … ” tweeted user @chescaleigh. “Lindsay Lohan hasn’t made me laugh yet,” chimed in culture commentator and New York Times best selling author Toure, also via Twitter. “Can we still replace her with Jon Hamm?” Lohan had a little more to do in a sketch opposite Kristen Wiig, playing it straight to a neck brace-wearing Wiig’s wild antics. But it was clear that she was still reading all of her lines, even studying them during moments where Wiig was performing. The next sketch, a previously aired commercial spoof starring Hader and Armisen, marked yet another Lohan-less moment. The last sketch of the evening was an ensemble bit with Andy Samberg as “Rude Buddha.” Lohan wasn’t required to do much more than ask, “Is there any way that you can help me reach nirvana?” She had been looking to “SNL” to kickstart a career comeback. Earlier in the week, she told Fallon she had begged producer Lorne Michaels to have her back on the show. “Saturday Night Live” has played pivotal roles in Lindsay’s career since she was 17. Former “SNL” head writer and castmember Tina Fey wrote and co-starred in “Mean Girls,” which remains Lohan’s biggest hit aside from “Freaky Friday.” Lindsey made her “SNL” hosting debut the day after “Mean Girls” was released, guesting in a pair of, now classic, sketches. She returned as a surprise guest during a “Weekend Update” segment in December of that year, under a fog of tabloid speculation about her weight loss, love life, medical problems and pop singer aspirations. Two years later, Lohan admitted to Vanity Fair that Fey and “Weekend Update” co-host Amy Poehler had sat her down and expressed concerns for her well being. “I just started bawling,” she told the magazine. “I knew I had a problem and I couldn’t admit it.” In addition to the hard partying regularly followed by the paparazzi, Lohan has been cast and recast in movie projects (including one about ’70s porn star Linda Lovelace) and tangled with the law, including a situation where she was accused of theft after wearing an expensive necklace out of a Venice, California jewelry store. Four years after Lohan made her third hosting appearance on “SNL” in 2006, Emma Stone played her in a sketch that lampooned the young star’s problems. On Thursday’s taped appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” Lohan publicly asked the ex-“SNL” castmember to drop by Studio 8H during the taping. Fallon also played a clip of the sketch that launched Rachel Dratch’s recurring “Debbie Downer” character back in 2004, the same year that “Mean Girls” (written by “SNL” veteran Tina Fey) was in theaters. Fallon famously had trouble keeping a straight face during his time on “SNL” and the inaugural “Debbie Downer” sketch was one for the “breaking” record books. Fallon, Lohan, Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz and Fred Armisen couldn’t stop laughing during Dratch’s dour one-liners. “I was trying to not to laugh,” Fallon recalled. “I know you were, but it made it worse,” noted Lohan. In an interview with NBC’s ” Today ,” also on Thursday (March 1), Lohan told host Matt Lauer that “I still need to go through the process of proving myself, with ‘SNL,’ being on time, keeping my … stuff together.” She also said she had gotten clearance from her legal team to address her recent troubles on the long-running sketch comedy show. She talked openly about staying clean and sober and called her time doing community service in Los Angeles “humbling” and “a learning experience.” How do you think LiLo performed on “Saturday Night Live?” Share your thoughts and comments below. Rush Limbaugh is literally paying for the comments he made this week about Sandra Fluke. On Thursday, the Georgetown University Law School student – who has been a vocal supporter of the Obama administration’s decision to require insurance companies, even those used by religiously-affiliated employers, to cover the cost of contraception – was denied a chance to speak at a House Oversight and Government Reform hearing on religious liberty and birth control. Rush Limbaugh Goes Off on Birth Control, Sandra Fluke She proceeded, though, to take part in a press conference in which Fluke told the story of a friend who was prescribed birth control to deal with ovarian cysts; could not afford the cost when school insurance refused to pay for it; and has since suffered grave medical consequences as a result. Fluke also said the price of birth control in general can be thousands a year. Limbaugh’s response? He referred to Fluke as a “slut” and a “prostitute” and added: “If we’re going to pay for your contraceptives and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch.” Limbaugh said that her speech made it clear “she’s having so much sex she can’t pay for it, and we should.” ( NOTE TO RUSH : That’s not how birth control works. You don’t pop a pill each time you have intercourse.) The issue has since taken on national prominence, with President Obama even calling Fluke and telling her her parents ought to be proud of her actions. And now the scandal has hit the Internet. The hashtag #BoycottRush has spread around Twitter and two Facebook pages calling for a boycott have garnered more than 18,000 and 6,000 Likes by this morning. Moreover, nine companies – including Legal Zoom, Citrix Success, Heart and Body Extract, AutoZone and Quicken Loans – have pulled ads from Limbaugh’s show. Where do you stand on this issue? Should Limbaugh have referred to the student as a “slut?
Brooke Mueller will almost definitely avoid prison for allegedly possessing cocaine inside an Aspen nightclub in December, the discovery of which took place after she allegedly attacked a woman. And at least one person takes issue with this legal solution: the woman Mueller allegedly attacked. Brooke Mueller Drunk, Dancing at Club Llana Little tells TMZ that Charlie Sheen’s troubled ex-wife exchanged words with her when Little was exiting the dance floor on the night of December 2. When Little turned around, she says Brooke punched her in the back. She “should go to jail” for the incident, Little insists. Following this altercation, Mueller left for another club and was found there by police. Cops took her outside and booked her for drug possession and third degree assault. “She needs to learn her lesson that what she did was not okay,” Little says.
The years since Lohan’s last ‘Saturday Night Live’ hosting gig have been filled with turmoil. By John Mitchell Lindsay Lohan Photo: FilmMagic For the first time in a long time, the universe seems to be working in Lindsay Lohan’s favor. The actress has been confirmed as host of the March 3 episode of “Saturday Night Live” and has reportedly booked the role of film legend Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie “Liz and Dick.” Recently, she’s been lying low and working to finish the community service she was sentenced to following numerous probation violations relating to past DUI arrests and charges she shoplifted a necklace from a Venice, California, boutique in early 2011. Her most recent probation progress reports from Los Angeles Superior Court judge Stephanie Sautner have been “glowing,” and there’s been some indication she may even be on track to complete the requirements of her probation early, according to Radar . Lohan last hosted “SNL” in April 2006. She’s hosted the legendary sketch-comedy show three times, receiving mostly positive reviews for her stints on the show. But a lot has happened to the starlet in the years since. Let’s take a look at where she was when she last hosted the show and the turbulent years since. When Lindsay Last Hosted ‘SNL’ When Lohan last graced the famous Studio 8-H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, she was promoting her star vehicle “Just My Luck” and the Robert Altman-directed “A Prairie Home Companion.” Lohan received a career-high paycheck of $7 million for the rom-com, which was helmed by Donald Petrie, who was working in the genre that brought him great success with “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” and “Miss Congeniality.” The role was intended to be the bridge that carried Lohan from her child-star past into adult roles but failed to catch fire at the box office, grossing a disappointing $17 million. While it didn’t perform particularly well in theaters either, “Companion” earned warm reviews and, importantly, landed the actress accolades from two of the film industry’s most respected veterans, the late Altman, the legendary director of “MASH,” “Nashville,” “Short Cuts” and “Gosford Park,” and Meryl Streep, who complimented Lohan’s acting skills in W magazine, saying, “She’s in command of the art form” and “completely, visibly living in front of the camera.” While trouble was brewing in her personal life at the time, with rumors of drug use, hard partying and eating disorders already plaguing the then-19-year-old actress, Lohan still had some of the most highly esteemed people in her industry rushing to her defense. Later that same year, she earned a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination as part of the sprawling cast of “Bobby.” Just a month after her “SNL” appearance, concerns about her partying came to a head when she was hospitalized on the set of “Georgia Rule.” Her reps claimed “she was overheated and dehydrated,” but Morgan Creek Productions executive James G. Robinson famously called her bluff and did so very publicly, penning a letter that was quickly made public calling the actress “irresponsible and unprofessional” and stating, “We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called ‘exhaustion.’ ” The actress soldiered on, but not for long. In January 2007, production on her much-maligned and financially unsuccessful film “I Know Who Killed Me” was suspended when she entered the hospital to have her appendix removed and again less than a month later when she entered the Wonderland Center, a lavish treatment facility for substance abuse that caters to a celebrity clientele. It was the first of several court-ordered and voluntary stays in rehab. Soon after, she withdrew from a planned film adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s “A Woman of No Importance” and was released from the independent film “The Edge of Love” after the director was not able to secure insurance for Lohan to star. Lohan’s Legal Troubles Begin The tumult that has plagued Lohan since early 2007 is as well-publicized as it is seemingly endless. For all intents and purposes, the legal troubles that continue to plague the actress really began in May 2007, when she was arrested for driving under the influence. We’ve briefly catalogued those troubles below: May 26, 2007 : Lohan is arrested after crashing her Mercedes into a shrub and curb in Los Angeles at 5:30 a.m. and is charged with misdemeanor DUI. She immediately re-enters rehab, this time at Promises Treatment Center in Malibu. July 24, 2007 : The actress is again arrested for DUI , this time following a brief car chase through Santa Monica. When police search Lohan, she is found to have a small amount of cocaine in her pocket. People reports that she was wearing an alcohol-detection ankle bracelet at the time of her arrest and was booked for DUI, possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custody facility and driving on a suspended license. In August, Lohan reaches a plea deal that includes one day in jail (though she ultimately only serves 84 minutes), 10 days of community service, completion of an 18-month alcohol-education program, hundreds of dollars in fines and 36 months of probation. February 2008 : Lohan re-creates Marilyn Monroe’s famous “Last Sitting” in a controversial photo shoot for New York magazine. Unable to secure acting roles, reportedly because production companies can’t afford the high cost of insuring her, she launches a line of leggings, 6126 (Monroe’s birthday), and a spray-tan line, Sevin Nyne, in collaboration with Sephora. October 16, 2009 : Lohan is more than an hour late to a probation hearing in Beverly Hills for a progress review on her two DUI cases and receives another year of probation due to failure to complete alcohol-education classes as required. June 8, 2010 : A judge issues an arrest warrant for Lohan after she violates a court order to not consume alcohol while wearing a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet. The warrant is recalled after she posts $200,000 bail. July 6, 2010 : Lohan is sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab for violating her probation in her DUI cases. July 20, 2010 : The actress is taken into custody to begin her jail term. She serves only 14 days of the 90-day sentence due to overcrowding and is taken immediately to UCLA Medical Center to begin her court-ordered rehab. She is again released early and permitted to continue her treatment on an outpatient basis. September 24, 2010 : Having failed a drug test, Lohan’s trial is revoked and she spends a day in jail before being released on bail. A few days later, she is sent on justice sequence to the Betty Ford Center, where she remains for three months. February 9, 2011 : Barely free for a month, Lohan is charged with a burglary after walking out of a Venice, California, boutique with a $2,500 necklace still around her neck. She pleads no contest, but as any violations of the law constitute a violation of her probation, she is sentenced to 120 days in jail, 360 hours of community service at a Los Angeles women’s shelter and 120 hours service at the L.A. County morgue. Due to jail overcrowding, she serves house arrest instead, wearing a tracking ankle monitor for 35 days. While underneath house arrest, her monitoring bracelet detects trace amounts of alcohol in her system, which under further investigation are not deemed a probation violation, so she receives no additional punishment. October 19, 2011 : After Lohan fails to complete her court-ordered community service, Judge Sautner revokes the actress’ probation and sends her to jail, telling the actress that if she wants to stay out of a corrections facility, she needs to complete 16 hours of community service at the morgue before her next hearing. She is again sentenced to jail November 7, this time for 30 days, but is released after just a few hours due to overcrowding. Following her latest brush with the law, the actress seemed to decide that enough was enough. She’s reportedly been diligent about completing her community service so she can get back to work as an actress and has received positive notices from the judge. Rumored to be experiencing financial difficulties due to her inability to work, Lohan accepted a $1 million deal to pose for the January issue of Playboy. Her photo shoot for the men’s magazine was, unsurprisingly, inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s shoot for the same mag. The issue was released early after the photos leaked online and was enormously successful, reportedly even selling out in some markets . Lohan’s March 3 appearance on “Saturday Night Live” will be her first acting gig since Robert Rodriguez’s 2010 film “Machete.” Are you rooting for Lindsay’s comeback? Let us know in the comments! Lindsay Lohan has more tax liens against her than she does probation violation charges. Okay, that’s a gross exaggeration … but she does have more than one. Which is ridiculous in itself. That’s right, according to the L.A. County Recorder’s Office, Lindsay never paid federal income taxes for 2010: $140,203.30 worth. This is a different case than the $93,701.57 she owes from 2009 . Baffling. As TMZ previously reported , LiLo never cut Uncle Sam a check for the $93,701.57 she was supposed to pay in federal income taxes for 2009 either. Lohan blamed her accountants for the 2009 debacle (obviously, never her fault) so it’s probably safe to say they’re on the hook for 2010 as well. On a side note, Lindsay Lohan owed $140,203.30 in just federal taxes in 2010? From what work, exactly? And are her legal fees nearly as high? Good thing those Lindsay Lohan Playboy pics just netted her nearly a million bucks. She may need a good chunk of that just to pay off the IRS. [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
