Teacher Fined And Not Given Prison Time For Having Sex With Student Should this pedo teacher be in jail?? Via NOLA reports: Shelley Dufresne, the former Destrehan High School teacher who admitted in court that she had sex with an under-age student, posted a smiling selfie to her Instagram account just hours after pleading guilty, WVUE television reports. Her caption: “my mood today”. Dufresne, a 32-year-old Montz resident who is married and has three children, pleaded guilty to obscenity Thursday in 29th Judicial District Court in Hahnville. She admitted having sex last year with a 16-year-old student at home in Montz, avoiding prison time and sex offender offender registration but agreeing to 90 days’ mental health treatment and three years’ probation, and $1,000 fine. She is one of two former Destrehan High teachers, along with Rachel Respess, 24, who also are accused in Jefferson Parish of having sex with the same student at an Respess’ apartment in Kenner on Sept. 12.
