Liam Neeson Angers Narnia Fans By Comparing Aslan to Buddha and Mohamed

Liam Neeson, who voices Aslan the Christ-like lion throughout the Chronicles of Narnia film series has just caused a controversy of sorts among Christian fans of the series with some comments during Voyage of the Dawn Treader press. To point, he says that, to him, the lion symbolizes all great prophets including Buddha and Mohamed. I’m guessing this would have gone unnoticed if not for that Mohamed part, but let’s take a closer look at these supposedly misguided, controversial statements and the ensuing criticism.

Liam Neeson Only Interested in ‘Believable’ Taken Sequel

Someone get Liam Neeson a Netflix account. While on the press rounds for The A-Team , Neeson found time to discuss the sequel status of his previous blockbuster — the surprise hit Taken : “It’s just hard to get a plot that’s going to be believable, you know? But I’m meeting with Luc Besson later this month so we’re going to sit down and see if we can hash out a theme.” Huh. Has he actually seen Taken ? Considering it basically revolved around Neeson single-handedly killing everyone he ran into and that The A-Team features a scene where the protagonists fly a tank by firing its gun , it’s safe to assume that his definition of “believable” has very wide parameters. 4 Lessons From 4 Minutes of The A-Team

Judging from the reviews , the marketing campaign and the interview stylings of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, your hopes for the quality of The A-Team were probably nestled somewhere between Con Air and stab your eyeballs out. But if the four, hilariously non-consecutive minutes of the film that were “leaked” online prove anything, it’s that The A-Team looks like the action mess of the summer. Congrats, Joe Carnahan! You’ve managed to out-fever dream Smokin’ Aces . After the jump, the four lessons learned from the video.

REVIEW: The A-Team Pushes the Action-Junk Envelope in All the Wrong Ways

The plot of The A-Team can be summed up thus: Stuff happens, connected by dialogue. Helicopters explode; human beings are nearly incinerated; trucks burst into flames. “Ha ha! Wow! You blew that thing up!” says Bradley Cooper, or Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, or Sharlto Copley — or maybe they all say it at once, though that would entail some extra coordination that’s probably beyond their grasp. Meanwhile, big-name star Liam Neeson looks on, trying to add some class to the joint, though even he seems to know it’s a losing battle.
