Getty Images Steph Curry Signed A 5-Year Extension With The Warriors For $201 Million Secure the bag alert: Steph Curry is really out here. Curry has become the first player in NBA history to sign a supermax contract, or a contract that crosses the $200M mark: $201 million for a five-year commitment. Golden State general manager Bob Myers said that the Warriors will finalize the contract once the free-agency moratorium ends this Thursday. This is a biiiiig jump for Curry, who’s last deal was a four-year contract for $44 million. He was one free agent this time around that fans and NBA insiders alike had no doubt would stay in his beloved Golden State. Golden State owner Joe Lacob said prior to news of the supermax contract, “I know he wants to be here and we want him here. So I do not anticipate any issues with him staying…We’re going to do whatever it takes to keep Steph here and happy,” and it looks like they did just that. This four-time NBA All-Star ain’t going nowhere. Raise your hand if you’d take $201 million to stay right where you are.

It’s been a crazy first week inside the Big Brother house, and the action does not look like it’s going to die down anytime soon. With Megan self-evicting and leaving the house, Alex was put on the block by Cody, and most of the ladies seem to want her gone because she proved during the HOH competition that she was a strong competitor. Jessica made it clear to Cody that they should be targeting her for eviction, but Cody has been having conversations with Matt and Mark about it being silly to send her out of the game so soon. The three men feel like she could be loyal to them if they show her they are not sending her home. They do have a point, but would it be worth turning on their alliance so soon? Maybe Cody realizes that Jessica is just using him to shield her from the block. Turns out, neither of them needs to worry about it since Alex dominated the POV competition, securing her safety. However, Jessica seemed to think Cody threw the competition to her and seemed jealous her showmance is in danger. Yes, there are showmances already. Would it be Big Brother without them? Surprisingly, the target for a backdoor eviction is Jason. Paul’s name is not being thrown around … yet. According to the feeds, Paul won three weeks of safety and cannot be put on the block. He’s keeping it to himself until he needs to reveal the truth if someone puts him up. That should make for some interesting conversations. So, it looks like Alex, Ramses, and Jillian could live to fight another week together in the game. Cody did pull Alex and Jillian aside because they were exiling themselves from the other houseguests, and made it clear it was only Megan he did not like. As of right now, Jason looks set to be sent up and out of the game on Thursday. This is Big Brother, and things change on an hourly basis, so we will keep you up to speed. Kylie Jenner’s reality TV series might be going the way of Rob & Chyna. By that, we mean it’s probably going to be a steaming pile of garbage that still manages to pull in solid ratings. Life of Kylie has been in production for a while now, but apparently, insiders of the show are furious with the way the 19-year-old has been acting . Hey, it’s not like anyone ever compliments a Kardashian for the way they act. We’re convinced Kris Jenner holds weekly classes with her brood to make sure they know what their plan is to stay in the headlines for the week. With Kris resorting to promoting healthy tea products on social media, the family must be in dire straits. If you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online , you will already know that Kylie Jenner is one of those teenagers who gets everything she wants. That’s sort of what happens when you are brought up in front of reality TV cameras and you have a life that most would kill for. As sad and pathetic as it sounds, Kylie’s blatant attempts to get in the headlines are probably brought on by her desire to be the biggest celebrity in the family. Just like her brother, Rob Kardashian did during the production of his own series, Kylie has allegedly been holding up the shooting of Life of Kylie and has even been skipping out on production some days. Jenner “refuses to go into the studio and do her pickups,” a source close to production revealed to Radar. We always hear things about the Kardashians being difficult people, and we’ll be taking these claims with a pinch of salt. There’s no confirmation of it. “It is like Kylie doesn’t even care, she just ignores any schedule that dictates when she is supposed to be in the studio.” Being in production, it takes a lot to set filming days up, so you can only imagine the looks of disgust Kylie must be getting if this is, indeed, how she’s been acting. “Kylie just doesn’t show up when she is needed, and no one knows that she isn’t coming,” the source continued. That’s totally uncool, and it won’t be doing much for the morale on set. Maybe Kylie is worried about the show being a failure and is having second thoughts about sticking with it. It’s not exactly the best time to launch a new iteration of the series when you consider just how terrible the parent series is performing in the ratings. “Kylie is upset at how the show is turning out, and she is running out of content. She does not want to give too much away … but the footage just seems boring and basic to her!” Keeping aspects of her life hidden from the series is not going to do much to make it a success. Viewers will be able to pick up on Kylie keeping quiet about things. “She’s totally spoiled and doesn’t care about anything. It’s unprofessional,” the report concluded. Something tells us the Kardashian family will be blacklisted by E! if they are really skipping out on filming. What’s the point of signing up for a TV show to bail on filming at the drop of a hat? There’s also the possibility Jenner is too busy too filming because she’s trying to find a way to deflect the latest scandals that rock her young life. The series is set to debut this month. If you like watching someone showing lots of cleavage and a side dose of sass, you will love it. If not, then you can make it watchable by taking a drink of vodka every single time she takes a selfie. Yawn. View Slideshow: Kylie Jenner Channels Barbie in RACY New Photo Shoot!
Image via Timothy Tai for The Boston Globe/Getty Images Boston Police Officer Suspended Over Racist Video The BostonHerald is reporting that 4 1/2 year veteran piece of s#!t Officer Joseph DeAngelo Jr has been suspended without pay for 6 month after a he distributed a racist video to his buddies for s#its and giggles. Apparently this is the stuff that Officer DeAngelo finds hilarious. No surprise there, he is Boston cop. We already know how THEY get down. @bostonpolice officer Joseph DeAngelo Jr. wrote a letter of apology after making a “racially insensitive” video. #Boston pic.twitter.com/cQXkCMYZRM — Jan Ransom (@Jan_Ransom) June 29, 2017 Subsequent to his suspension, DeAngelo wrote this fake azz “apology” letter. Police Commissioner William B. Evans seems more than satisfied that it’s genuine and heartfelt… “It was clear from Officer DeAngelo’s interview that he feels significant remorse for his actions and now realizes the impact this video has had on our community,” Evans said. “Officer DeAngelo readily admitted to the conduct and has fully taken responsibility for his actions.” There is no way that DeAngelo should be welcomed back to a badge and a gun after an incident like this. There is ZERO room for any level of racism in a police force that has the power to dictate the life and death of Black citizens. F**k ’em.
Remember when Bethenny Frankel said that Jason Hoppy was torturing her , and that her life was hell because of it? Obviously, there were bits of hyperbole thrown in there, but apparently she was super serious about parts of that. Serious enough that ex Jason Hoppy’s had to make another court appearance. This is actually pretty alarming. Remember how Bethenny Frankel was granted a restraining order early this year after Jason Hoppy’s arrest for stalking her ? We sure do. You know that they sure do. Well, now Jason Hoppy’s facing new charges of stalking in the third and fourth degrees . Now, we looked up exactly what those charges mean according to New York State law (so that you don’t have to). Fourth degree stalking has a few definitions, but this is the one that we think applies here: “Conduct consists of following, telephoning, or initiating communication or contact with such person, a member of such person’s immediate family or a third party with whom such person is acquainted, and the actor was previously clearly informed to cease that conduct.” Apparently Frankel’s attorney provided the court with documents, including 160 unwanted texts from Hoppy. That’s more unwanted texts than there were first-generation Pokemon, folks. Third degree stalking is a little more complicated, because a lot of it has to do with prior acts of fourth degree stalking as precedents. But third degree stalking could also mean taking action that might make Bethenny fear for her safety. Look, Bethenny Frankel says dumb things sometimes , mostly because she forgets that things that don’t impact her at all can be life-and-death for others. But that doesn’t mean that she deserves to be harassed, hounded, and stalked. Jason Hoppy’s vow to destroy Bethenny Frankel is honestly pretty terrifying. Like, that kind of line is dramatic and a little goofy on soap operas. In real life, like … that can mean everything from a harmless feud to the kind of obsessive hatred that ends in a murder-suicide. Nobody needs that in their lives. Unfortunately, stalking is a hugely common problem. New York and LA have laws in place that cover these situations much better than some places. All over the country, a lot of women deal with threats of violence that they receive online from people whom they’ve never met. Unfortunately, many police departments don’t know what to do about that, many law codes haven’t been updated to cover physical threats made online. And a lot of women don’t have the resources to protect themselves or pursue restraining orders. But just because Bethenny Frankel is a woman of means doesn’t mean that she’s impervious to harm. Harassment is a very real crime that can impact just about anyone. And, honestly, if there are threats of harm involved in these recent charges, those should be taken seriously, too. Just because Jason Hoppy isn’t an axe murderer doesn’t mean that his words should just be brushed off as “talk.” A lot of horrible acts start off as “talk.” Threats and harassment are not the way to handle your divorce, folks. And we totally get why Bethenny’s describes her experience as “torture.” Whatever Jason Hoppy’s alleged actions that led to these charges, she might have some very real and very understandable fears. That’s what the legal system’s supposed to be there for. Let’s hope that this gets resolved in court.

The sad rumor turned into an unfortunate reality on Wednesday night. Following weeks of chatter heading into the final season of Alaskan Bush People, the latest installment of this popular Discovery Channel series confirmed the truth about star Ami Brown… … she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. “Ami started getting sick months ago and we didn’t know what it was, but it changed from the point of ‘something’s wrong’ to ‘something’s wrong ,’” Ami’s husband, Billy, told the camera on this week’s episode. In previews for Season 7 of the show – which centers on a family who has basically cut itself off from civilization and who lives off the land in Alaska – there were hints that Brown was ill. There’s been talk that she was even flown to Los Angeles for treatment. This is what really got folks talking, considering how rarely members of the Browns visit the lower United States. The final set of Alaskan Bush People episodes started filming three months ago. They premiered last Wednesday with a focus on Ami undergoing a biopsy after a number of scans revealed a disturbing mass in her lungs. “Everybody, of course, knows that it will come out good – so we just have to be strong,” said 22-year old daughter Bird last night, trying to remain optimistic as she and her siblings awaited test results. Later on, however, 30-year old Bear went over to a car with a flower for his mom… and noted right away that the news was not positive. His brother, Matt, agreed. He felt the same way. “Seeing mom and dad get out of the car I … kind of already get a feeling that it hasn’t gone too well,” he said, adding: “In one way, I can say that everything in my life has prepared me for this moment. In another way, nothing can.” In the end, it was left to Billy to confirm the family’s worst fears. “Not good. Not good at all,” he told his kids of the exam outcome, explaining as follows: “They’ve got to do some more tests and stuff and what they can see is stage 3 cancer. She could easily be stage 4.” Alaskan Bush People Season 7 Preview: The Biggest Challenge Yet Stage four is the most serious level for a cancer. It typically means the patient does not have a lot of time left. “I don’t care who you are. I don’t care what you’ve been through. I don’t care how old you are. If you hear that your mother has cancer, it’s going to shock you,” said Rain, 14, the youngest of the seven Brown children. “I just wish I could change it somehow. I’m very scared for her,” she added. For Ami, meanwhile, the fear of what will happen to her appeared to be less cumbersome than her concern over the impact this will have on her loved ones. “She doesn’t want to be a burden on someone,” Billy said of his wife. “That’s not Ami. Ami is to take the burden away and take care of everything, but she has to admit to herself that she can’t be that right now. “It’s just time for us to pay it back to her right now, it’s all I think we can do.” To conclude this recap of the latest Alaskan Bush People episode, we’ll leave you with a few words from Ami. Bill and the kids are very loving and supportive. They’re all worried. I tell them, don’t worry. Please don’t worry. Be happy … keep the faith. Good or bad, it’s God’s will and we’ll walk that road. There’s a lot for the kids to experience. I want to be there. I want to hold their babies. I want to hear them laughing … I want to see their eyes wide with enthusiasm as they experience these new things. We’ll continue to tune in each Wednesday night at 9/8c to Discovery and hope that things turn around for Ami. “This is not the end of the road,” said 27-year old son, keeping a hopeful viewpoint and concluding: “It looks like it’s going to be the beginning of maybe a very long, very hard road for everybody. “But we’re just going to have to be stronger than ever and keep up the faith in the good Lord and make it through this.”
