Abby Lee Miller is making her way to prison in the next few weeks. The disgraced former Dance Moms star was sentenced to one year and one day in the slammer after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud last June. But when? According to Radar Online, “Abby will be checking into prison on June 30 .” “Although she has not yet received an official confirmation on where she will be serving her time, she has heard good things about Apple Valley or Victorville, which are both prisons located in California,” the rep said. Wait… so is Abby actually looking forward to swapping her dancing costumes for an orange jumpsuit? Reality TV stars do have a knack for coming out of prison and landing higher paid reality TV gigs. Maybe Teresa Giudice has been giving Abby some tips on how to raise her profile or something because she did get a hefty raise when she returned to The Real Housewives of New Jersey following her stint in the slammer. Abby’s legal woes came to the forefront when it emerged that she tried to hide more than $775,000 in earnings. If you watch Dance Moms online , you will already know that some of the other moms have taunted Abby over her bad decisions. It’s difficult to feel bad for Miller when you consider just how nasty she has been on the Lifetime reality series. At one point during the most recent season, Miller broke down in tears as she wondered what would become of her. Even Miller herself is still shocked about the fact she will be spending a stretch behind bars. “I almost fell over when my sentence was announced,” Miller said at the premiere for E!’s Vanderpump Rules wannabe, The Abbey. She also claimed that she was planning to return the money she owed, but there has been nothing else said about it since. It’s crazy to think just how prominent Abby was on reality TV and now she’s showing up to premieres for some of the worst reality shows out there. Abby quit Dance Moms in sensational fashion earlier this year, with a statement that essentially trashed everyone associated with the production of the Lifetime hit. It reads as follows: The majority of children that follow me may be fast asleep, however now is the critical time to make the following statement: I WILL NO LONGER TAKE PART IN DANCE MOMS. FOR THE PAST SIX YEARS/ SEVEN SEASONS I HAVE ASKED, BEGGED, AND EVEN DEMANDED CREATIVE CREDIT FOR ALL THE IDEAS, AWARD WINNING ROUTINES, THEMES, AND COSTUMING – TO NO AVAIL! This is heartbreaking news. A cancer diagnosis is never good news. Almost every family has gone through the pain of learning that one of their own has this often terminal disease. We’ve all read about various famous people who’ve been diagnosed. Unfortunately, today, we learned about one more. Olivia Newton-John is an absolute legend. She’s supremely talented as a singer and actress. an icon to many members of the LGBT community. She’s also now a cancer patient. She issued a press release on the subject. It’s not the most personal way to share information, but sometimes being straightforward and informative is the best route to take when breaking bad news. And this is the worst kind of news to break. Sometimes, impersonal is best. Olivia Newton-John had to cancel her North American concert dates for June, but this is one set of cancelations that no decent person could bemoan. Apparently they discovered the cancer because she had complained of back pain. Frightening to think that something so innocuous could be how you learn that you have cancer. Specifically, it’s breast cancer that’s metastasized to her sacrum. It’s also a reminder that even the healthiest people can get cancer. A lot of people push the idea that overall wellness can prevent cancer, but disease can come from all sorts of sources, and genetics are a powerful factor when it comes to cancer. Yoga teachers get cancer. Nutritionists get cancer. Marathon runners get cancer. Living legends do, too. Fortunately, there are treatments. Olivia Newton-John intends to undergo a short treatment of photon radiation therapy. From her press release, she sounds optimistic. That can be so important for cancer patients. And there’s reason to hope. Shannen Doherty recently announced that her cancer had gone into remission . Still, her fans from all over the world will be wishing her a swift and easy recovery. Kathy Griffin is sorry. Like, really, really, REALLY ridiculously sorry. The comedian came under fire from both sides of the aisle on Tuesday after she posted for a Tyler Shields photo shoot in which she held the bloody, severed head of President Donald Trump. In a horrible attempt at humor, Griffin wrote “there was blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his…wherever,” as a caption, hearkening back to when Trump made the same comment last year about Megyn Kelly . It was a sexist, inappropriate thing for Trump to utter at the time. And, in the context below, it was a wildly inappropriate and borderline illegal thing for Griffin to say now. I’m merely mocking the Mocker in Chief,” she Tweeted. Shields, the photographer behind the shoot, was more defiant in his defense of the pairing’s so-called “art” work. “Can you go to jail for making an artistic statement??? Asking for a friend… @kathygriffin,” he wrote. No, not really. But you can go to jail for threatening the life of a sitting President. It’s unlikely that the Secret Service will actually investigate Griffin and/or that any charges will get brought against Griffin. But she has heard it from Republicans and Democrats alike in the wake of this distasteful stunt. “Disgusting but not surprising. This is the left today,” wrote Donald Trump Jr., turning this into a partisan issue and adding: “They consider this acceptable. Imagine a conservative did this to Obama as POTUS?” Of course, this has proven to be wholly untrue. No one on the Left considers this acceptable. Griffin is almost receiving more flak from Liberals than from Conservatives because this distorts their rhetoric against Trump. There is plenty (and we mean PLENTY ) one can say as a critique of Donald Trump without resorting to such acts of fake violence. “It wasn’t right when peoplel hung lynched Obama effigies, just as what Kathy Griffin did isn’t right now,” wrote Debra Messing, Chelsea Clinton also disproved Trump Jr.’s thesis, Tweeting: “This is vile and wrong. It is never funny to joke about killing a president.” Other negative reactions have included: If Griffin was seeking attention and looking for a way to unify members of both political parties, she has succeeded on both fronts. In light of this never-ending backlash, however, Griffin recorded a 30-second video this evening and shared it on Twitter. “I beg for your forgiveness. I went too far,” Griffin is here to say, adding: “I moved the line, and then I crossed it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people.” She goes on to say she’ll see if Shields will remove the video in question and all of the photos. This morning Willie Cory Godbolt was taken into custody by authorities from multiple agencies after allegedly killing eight people , including 36-year-old Lincoln County Deputy William Durr. In a news release, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain said Godbolt’s killing spree started Saturday night around 11:30 pm when police received a call about a domestic disturbance at 2871 Lee Drive in Bogue Chitto, according to Clarion-Ledger reports. The bodies of three female victims and the deputy were discovered at that address. A second crime scene where the bodies of two juvenile males were found was located at 1658 Coopertown Road in Brookhaven, and the bodies of a male and female were recovered at a third crime scene, located at 312 East Lincoln Road.
