Shustring Magazine Talks Baby Boy For Toya Wright Wait… What??? We’re loving the cover shot of Toya Wright on Shustring Magazine but we’re feeling like the website tease of the accompanying article leaves us hanging. https://instagram.com/p/BSg7AdWhsAH/?taken-by=toyawright Toya posted the cover image on her Instagram, but didn’t say too much about the story, which begins: Now that I have had the surgery my chances of having a healthy full term pregnancy is greater. A baby boy may be the turning point to a year filled with tragedy, life-changing surgery and breakups. Hol’ up? We take it from this that Toya had some kind of surgery and she’s looking to have a healthy pregnancy AND she wants a boy? Hmmmmm… The website doesn’t offer much in the way of details, aside from praising Wright’s accomplishments as a New York Times bestselling author while emphasizing the importance of family in her life: She told us how she is still standing and how her worst moments helped shape her into who she is today. She explained why family is so important to her and why her hometown will always have a special place in her heart. Toya’s always been big on family, and we’d love to see her give birth to another child. We seem to recall her being open to having more kids with Wayne. Do you think they’ll give Reginae a baby brother? Or is it possible Toya’s met someone else she’s planning to procreate with? So many questions. What do you think Toya’s best kept secret is? Woman Stabs Sugar Daddy To Death In Argentina This seems…counterproductive. A 34-year-old Argentinian woman stabbed her 62-year-old sugar daddy to death back in 2014, and now faces life in prison. According to MailOnline , Paula Romano reportedly texted her boyfriend Julio Cesar Vittoria, telling him that she planned to tie him up and that he should be “ready for a party.” Once Julio arrived, Paula lured Romano into a sex game, stripping him naked and tying his hands and neck up in rope. Once he was bound, she stabbed him 24 times and stole nearly $2,000 from him and fleeing the scene. The two had been dating for nearly two years at the time. Julio was the owner of multiple businesses, and friends report that Paula had little interest in him beyond his bank account . Likewise, Julio was primarily in the union for the physical relationship. After nearly 15 months on the road, authorities finally caught up with Paula, putting her behind bars for the rest of her life. SMH. What was the point of her killing this man if he had no problem paying the bills? Creative Commons

Shortly after the world learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls when he was in his teens, the Duggars were beset by yet another scandal involving their eldest son’s sexual impropriety. When the infidelity-facilitating website Ashley Madison was hacked in August of 2015, Josh was revealed to be its most high-profile client. We still don’t know if Josh succeeded in his efforts to cheat on his wife, Anna, but we do know what his intentions were. In the wake of Josh’s second scandal, the Duggars went into damage control mode. Josh was sent to rehab to undergo a “faith-based” course of treatment for his sex addiction, and when he returned home six months later, his family basically kept him hidden from sight. So it would appear that though he avoided jail time for his adolescent sex crimes, Josh learned a hard lesson about fidelity after getting caught cheating on his wife. But as we’ve seen before, the Duggars are in object lesson in the many ways in which appearances can be deceiving. Less than two years after Josh checked into rehab, everything in his life has basically returned to normal. Josh and Anna are expecting their fifth kid ; the rest of the Duggars are back on TV; and while his career as a lobbyist/reality TV star may have come to an end, Josh is reportedly making a fine living for himself as the proprietor of several used car dealerships. Needless to say, fans are growing concerned that any lessons learned might now be forgotten. And their worst fears seem to have been confirmed by recent comments from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar regarding their views on infidelity. The couple frequently speaks at marriage retreats and in a video uploaded yesterday, Colorado-based pastor Kenny Batson recalled an encounter with Jim Bob and Michelle at such an event. Addressing his congregation, Batson recollected: “ At the marriage retreat — Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar helped us do it, and at the end of it, they were getting ready to go home, and Jim Bob caught me out in the hall and says, ‘You know what,’ he says, ‘I have to go back in here and do a little more teaching.’” “What they talked about was this matter right here. Intimacy in marriage. And Michelle said something that I’d never thought, I mean I knew of it but I never thought like she put it. “She said ‘Ladies, your husband can get his laundry done by other women, he can have his meal cooked by other women, he can have all kinds of things done for him by other women, but there’s only one woman who can meet that strong need he has that God put in him, and its you. Only you, lady .’” In the past, the Duggars have been accused of blaming Anna for Josh’s infidelity, and many fans see these latest comments as Michelle’s way of doubling down on those views. Michelle seems to be implying that Josh was simply acting on the “strong need that God put in him” and that Anna wasn’t satisfying his needs in the bedroom. Batson puts an even finer point on it, summing up Michelle’s comments thusly: “It is one of the greatest sins of women today, is a self-centered narcissistic view of how they are to have control of their bodies. The Bible says your body is not your own, sister. It is your husband’s.” They may have figured out a way to present themselves to 21st century television audiences in an inoffensive fashion, but the Duggars views on marriage and a woman’s place in the world remain deeply problematic. The Josh sex scandals briefly brought those views to the surface, and fans were justifiably outraged. But like Jim Bob and Michelle, the Duggars’ most loyal viewers proved very eager to forget. So the world has agreed that gender is an abstract construct of modern man, and that Man and Woman doesn’t mean Man or Woman…like it did with traditional gender roles…and that if you have a penis you’re not necessarily a man, you have male genitals, but that doesn’t mean you’re a man and you can wear a dress…and if you are born with a vagina, that doesn’t mean you’re a woman, but rather you can live your life as a man, even though the idea of living your life as a man, when you have a vagina, or a woman as a man…after arguing about gender neutrality…is saying that traditional gender roles makes sense…they just shouldn’t be GENITAL based…. So as they take their hormones thanks to childhood trauma, or get their surgeries like psychos to be other genders, while saying we are all one gender, the human gender….and all these social justice warriors get on board and fight for their gender neutral rights…because they need something to champion….and stick their dirty entitled fingers in… Instead of just letting people live whatever fucking life they want, who fucking cares if it’s weird or not, it doesn’t phase me…. I do like knowing if a homie’s got a pussy though, because I like to know if it’s gay if I fuck him after a few too many drinks…or none at all..but because vagina is good…because after watching this video – I think it may be…. Alexandra Daddario, the big tits from True Detective, are now the scaled down tits, because she wanted a tighter body for Baywatch the Remake, even if Baywatch was something that never needed to be remade, that will likely be garbage, and but that will forever hold a place in your 40 something year old heart because you used to fuck yourself watching it…like it was your first fucking girlfriend…and she’s the new version of old orgasms, stronger orgasms, orgasms you’ll never recreate because you are past your prime and your life failed you….right.. Well her big tits from True Detective that were scaled down for the worst movie idea ever and now they are in GQ Mexico – because the Mexicans are probably the only people to watch that bullshit…you know to laugh at America..as you build your wall. Will Smith Breaks Down His And Jada’s Parenting Philosophy It’s not secret that Will and Jada’s kids are a bit…different than the average child. Already both creatives with acting and song credits under their belts, well-known for their eclectic styles and artistic streak, and habits toward philosophying on even the simplest isht, Willow and Jaden were clearly cultivated to embrace their every thought and whim. E! News got down to the nitty-gritty of Will and Jada’s parenting style with quotes from over the years detailing what they do as parents that might be just a bit different than the average Mommy and Daddy out here. For one, the Smiths don’t believe in “punishment” for their kids in a traditional sense. As Will said in 2013 : “We don’t do punishment. The way that we deal with our kids is, they are responsible for their lives. Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been—it has a little too much of a negative quality.” “So when they do things—and you know, Jaden, he’s done things—you can do anything you want as long as you can explain to me why that was the right thing to do for your life.” And they also give their minis an open forum to speak frankly with them: “They’re allowed to tell us everything that they did [in the circle of safety], and they can’t get in trouble. The rule is, if we find out after the circle of safety that there was something you didn’t say, there was hell to pay.” Granted, we aren’t sure what “hell to pay” really means when there’s no punishment. But he’s big on letting the kids be who they are: “What I do with my children, that I feel that the greatest gift that I can give my children is the freedom to be who they are. [My wife] and I are very serious about finding what they are, and encouraging them to be what they are because you can never be happy being what you’re not.” And ultimately, the Smiths don’t believe in treating their kids as possessions or extensions of them…but as individuals and equals: “I think that, specifically in African American households, the idea coming out of slavery, there’s a concept of your children being property and that was a major part that Jada and I released with our kids. We respect our children the way we would respect any other person. Things like cleaning up their room. You would never tell a full-grown adult to clean their room, so we don’t tell our kids to clean their rooms. We tell our kids, ‘You don’t have a room, that’s our room and we are letting you borrow it.’ So the same way you would say to an adult if you let them use your car, you say, ‘Yo man, clean my car! Don’t drive around all filthy like that!’ And it’s perfectly reasonable for you to want an adult to clean your car, so we feel it’s perfectly reasonable to ask our kids to clean the rooms that we are letting them use.” Interesting! What do you think of the Smiths’ parenting practices?? Splash/WENN
Is it just us or has this season of The Voice been a drag? It’s totally understandable that NBC would want to dilute the series as much as possible because it’s such a ratings powerhouse. You would think that having 12 episodes in the can would mean we are far into the competition. Instead, we’re whittling down the contestants with the aim of having 32 left. It’s pretty crazy, but at least we’re in the final battle round episode of the season. Who made the cut? We have the answers for you below! Lauryn Judd vs. Lilli Passero The two women duked it out to “Every Little Bit Hurts” by Brenda Holloway. Unsurprisingly, it’s difficult to tell which of the women would make it through. They each have strong voices that could make anybody happy. Their harmonies were on point, so it was a little upsetting that only one of them would make it through. That said, Lauryn did make a few mistakes, and something tells me if she turned in a consistent performance, she would still be part of the process. Winner: Lilli Passero Jesse Larson vs. Taylor Alexander Throughout the battle rounds, people are paired up that should not be together. It seems like an easy way for the producers to meddle with the process. Jesse and Taylor went to battle, singing “Shameless” by Billy Joel. It sounded good, but it seemed rigged to give Jesse the win. Taylor struggled at some parts, and it became glaringly obvious when Jesse hit all the notes. Winner: Jesse Larson Brandon Royal vs. Davina Leone This duo went with “In the Night” by The Weekend. It was a solid performance for both artists, but Brandon’s pitch was perfect. It was not nice how Davina was practically forced to strut her stuff to win the battle. Her performance lacked something, and it just seemed forced. In the end, it was obvious Brandon was winning. Surprisingly, Adam took Davina on to his team. Winner: Brandon Royal Steal: Davina Leone That means the battle rounds are over, you guys! Now, it’s down to all the artists to stay in the competition. All they can do is sing for their lives. At this stage, the contestants get the pink slip from left, right, and center. What will happen? Hit the comments with who you want to make it to the end. Josh Duggar and wife Anna appeared a few times on the Duggar family Facebook page this week as they start to rebuild their media presence. As you can see above, the family made a pilgrimage to Ark Encounter, a Christian fundamentalist theme park in Grant County, Kentucky. If it wasn’t obvious, it features a Noah’s Ark replica. “Visiting the Ark Encounter is a great time the whole family can appreciate,” the Duggar family wrote on their official Facebook page. “Our family looked at the life of Noah and saw how the righteousness and obedience of one man’s life spared all of humanity.” They encouraged their fans to support the Ark’s website, and implicitly to support Josh, 29, as he begins this new phase of life. The inclusion of Josh Duggar in the above photo may not be an endorsement of his righteousness or obedience, but it speaks volumes. With Josh and Anna expecting their fifth child , the family is working the local pariah back into the fold gradually but very much deliberately. Josh’s sordid past aside, by and large, fans of Counting On have been very supportive of the inclusion of Josh and Anna in family life. One follower wrote, “Nice to see josh included in the picture. Beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing,” while another Duggar fan commented: “It is nice to see Josh in the family photos again. We went to see the ark three weeks ago I hate we missed you we would love to meet you.” Yet another supporter remarked, “Love seeing the ENTIRE family together. So good to see Josh and Anna again … I love this family!” He remains a polarizing figure, but with such loving support from their core fans, the Duggars may no longer feel the need to hide Josh. At least not as obviously as they have in the past … View Slideshow: Josh Duggar: Scrubbed From Jinger’s Wedding with Reshoots, Fake Sun Glare, Kid in Front of Face TLC has used sun glare, re-shoots, creative editing and even small children as human shields to protect viewers from the human eyesore. Now that he’s having baby #5 though, social media sightings may increase and writers may give Anna Duggar a bigger role on Counting On . Josh’s molestation scandal and infidelity were the reason his family’s popular reality TV show 19 Kids and Counting was axed in 2015. Two years later, however, the reborn Counting On is chugging along, Anna somehow didn’t divorce him, and all seems right in Arkansas. Well, mostly. Jill and Jessa were radio silent on social media after his pregnancy announcement, which is highly unusual for the duo. But if the silence is deafening, this also says a lot: Michelle Duggar shared this baby picture of Josh, Jana Duggar and John-David Duggar – the inaugural trio of her 19 kids – from 1994. Josh was an innocent little boy once! Who knew! The quiet PR blitz is underway after Josh and Anna Duggar wrote on the family blog earlier this month that their fifth child is en route: “For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives together as a family.” “Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust. We’ve learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time.” “As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year.” “Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy!” Josh and Anna wrote in their announcement. Of course, he’s not entirely out of the woods yet. Josh is being sued by a photographer whose photo he used as his profile pic on Ashley Madison, the adultery-driven website he used. Matthew McCarthy claims that Josh’s wrongful, “extreme and outrageous” use of his image subjected him to lost work and epic harassment. While it’s dubious that the photographer/DJ is seeking damages, claiming he can’t get work because Josh did this, it still hangs over his head. Doesn’t seem like the family is too worried, in any case, based on how Josh is being treated in their carefully-crafted postings lately. Will fans ever truly accept him again, though? My sister loves her bonnet. So much so that she’s created a hashtag for the life she leads. #BonnetLife. Most Black girls know how far a good bonnet can go in preserving the moisture in your hair, preserving your style and the strength of your hair as well. Still, the assumption is that bonnets will be worn in the privacy of your own home. So you can imagine my mortification when my sister decided that she would have continental breakfast, in the lobby of our hotel, wearing her beloved bonnet. We were in Savannah, Georgia celebrating my birthday and my sister just didn’t want to take it off before we went downstairs. While it certainly wasn’t something I would have done, I admired the fact that my sister didn’t care about the opinions of others enough to let it deter her from moving as she wished. I took a picture of the moment and put it on my Instagram. [ madamenoire ] United Airlines: “Your Leggings Are Welcome” (Despite Yesterday’s Mess) If you hopped on Twitter yesterday and saw United trending, you might’ve thought, “Great, another airline I’m going to have to stop flying.” But before you jump to conclusions, it seems special circumstances were involved in United’s decision to block two teenage girls wearing leggings from boarding a flight to Minneapolis yesterday. The young passengers weren’t your everyday customers, they were “pass riders” — relatives or friends of United employees allowed to fly at discounted rates — and as such they are required to follow the airline’s dress code when flying which, apparently, does not include leggings. Despite the explanations being tweeted from United’s Twitter handle during the debacle, celebs and citizens alike dragged the airline for their “policing” of women’s clothes which, understandably, was deemed sexist. Today, United put out a formal statement on the incident, attempting to assure its regular customers their leggings are all good, but it might not be enough for the airline to recover from yesterday’s mishap.
