It’s been far too long since Taylor Armstrong used her estranged husband’s suicide for profit or attention, hasn’t it? The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is back at it, though, blogging this week about her state of mind – and the state of her liver – after Russell Armstrong took his own life in August 2011. “I went through about nine months where I was drinking to cope with the pain and the memories,” Armstrong wrote yesterday. “I was drinking to forget, to stop the recurring images in my head, to relax enough to try to sleep at night.” On Sunday’s episode of this Bravo hit, Kim and Kyle Richards approached Taylor about her drinking problem, causing Armstrong to reflect and now open up. “I was self-medicating and the sad truth is that I didn’t know another way to get through the days — and nights,” she wrote in her entry. “I was confronted with the truth that the life I thought I had was only an illusion. What I finally realized was that ‘pain waits for you.’ I would medicate for a day and the next morning all the emotions would come flooding back — not to mention the massive headache.” But that’s pretty much now all behind her, the reality star concludes: “Thankfully, I had an amazing support system and they helped me realize that it was time for me to feel my emotions and let the healing begin.” She may be healing off camera going forward, however. Rumors continue to float around that major changes are coming to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast .
Gregory Dale Lanier – a 35-year old resident of Frostproof, Florida – was hit in the leg by a bullet on Saturday in one of the year’s most unusual shootings. Because the shot was fired by his dog. According to The Highlands Today , Lanier and his canine were driving in a truck when the dog accidentally kicked a .380 pistol that was lying on the ground. It fired once and struck its owner in the lower extremity. Authorities have ruled that the shooting was accidental and the Lanier’s injury was not serious. But while it’s easy to laugh at this incident, it’s far too common of an occurrance for weapons to simply be lying around. Recent case in far more tragic point: Marquiez Deshon Pratt was arrested this week after his four-year old found a gun nearby his napping father and died of a self-inflicted wound. In Perez Hilton news that has nothing to do with the celebrity gossip fiend falsifying a rumor or drawing a penis over the face of an actress… this controversial blogger is a new father! “I am ready to announce that earlier this month I was blessed with the birth of my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy – with lots of hair on his tiny head!” Perez just posted on his site. “I am so humbled to welcome this little man into my life. And I am honored and ready for the challenge of guiding him through his.” It’s unknown whether the 34-year-old adopted or went with a surrogate, while Hilton did not reveal the child’s name of birth date. In addition to his website, Perez has grown into an author and television personality. We’ve often taken issue with the way Hilton presents his stories, but leave it to an adorable baby to quash any feud between bloggers. We send this new father nothing but our best wishes.
Bobby Brown and jail cells go together like PB&J…SMH Bobby Brown Sentenced To 55 Days In Jail According to TMZ reports : Bobby Brown has been sentenced to 55 days in jail following his most recent DUI arrest, TMZ has learned. TMZ broke the story … Brown was arrested in October after cops pulled the singer over for driving erratically, and smelled alcohol in his ride. Bobby was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license following the incident. (Brown’s license had been suspended as a result of his previous DUI conviction in 2012. Bobby was also convicted of DUI in 1996.) Bobby pled no contest to the charges today. He was sentenced to the jail time, plus 4 years probation. He was also ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol program. This is Bobby’s third DUI conviction. Bobby has to turn himself in to jail by March 20 — and has been ordered to attend 3 AA meetings per week until then. We’d like to think that this would be Bobby’s last brush with the law. Troubled Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has reportedly checked into rehab for the second time as she continues to struggle with a heroin abuse problem. She is “seeking treatment for her drug addiction issues and related stresses stemming from a tumultuous last few months,” a source close to Jenelle says. According to celebrity gossip site Radar Online , “Everyone’s been worried about Jenelle doing heroin, even though she was denying that for a long time.” We can’t vouch for the accuracy of their sources in this case, but it’s a telling sign that Jenelle Evans has been MIA from Twitter since February 22. For Jenelle, four days is like four months for most people. Also, rumors of her heroin use aren’t new, nor are the string of problems in her life of late. Since being involuntarily committed into rehab for 72 hours in November, Jenelle has spiraled out of control; she reportedly went voluntarily this time. Says a source supposedly close to the reality star: “Jenelle has been through the wringer lately. She got married to a guy that she now thinks is a disaster, got pregnant, had a miscarriage and is basically falling apart.” Evans insisted she had been clean since she found out she was pregnant, while Rogers, upstanding fella that he is, insinuated that she killed their baby . Who’s telling the truth? Impossible to know. But what’s hard to dispute is the fact that Jenelle is a troubled person who’s been in a particularly bad place. “She has been doing drugs, and she really wants to stop and live a clean life for herself and for Jace,” her friend said, referring to her three-year-old. It’s about dayum time! The folks at the census bureau have finally realized nobody is using the term Negro anymore — especially if they’re Black or African-American. Via NY Daily News reports : After more than a century, the Census Bureau is dropping its use of the word “Negro” to describe black Americans in surveys. Instead of the term that came into use during the Jim Crow era of racial segregation, census forms will use the more modern labels “black” or “African-American”. The change will take effect next year when the Census Bureau distributes its annual American Community Survey to more than 3.5 million U.S. households, Nicholas Jones, chief of the bureau’s racial statistics branch, said in an interview. He pointed to months of public feedback and census research that concluded few black Americans still identify with being Negro and many view the term as “offensive and outdated.” “This is a reflection of changing times, changing vocabularies and changing understandings of what race means in this country,” said Matthew Snipp, a sociology professor at Stanford University, who writes frequently on race and ethnicity. “For younger African-Americans, the term ‘Negro’ harkens back to the era when African-Americans were second-class citizens in this country.” First used in the census in 1900, “Negro” became the most common way of referring to black Americans through most of the early 20th century, during a time of racial inequality and segregation. “Negro” itself had taken the place of “colored.” Starting with the 1960s civil rights movement, black activists began to reject the “Negro” label and came to identify themselves as black or African-American. For the 2010 census, the government briefly considered dropping the word “Negro” but ultimately decided against it, determining that a small segment, mostly older blacks living in the South, still identified with the term. But once census forms were mailed and some black groups protested, Robert Groves, the Census Bureau’s director at the time, apologized and predicted the term would be dropped in future censuses. When asked to mark their race, Americans are currently given a choice of five government-defined categories in census surveys, including one checkbox selection which is described as “black, African Am., or Negro.” Beginning with the surveys next year, that selection will simply say “black” or “African American.” In the 2000 census, about 50,000 people specifically wrote in the word Negro when asked how they wished to be identified. By 2010, unpublished census data provided to the AP show that number had declined to roughly 36,000. We say Hallelujah! We’s free of that old Jim Crow terminology. How many bets somebody is gonna call Permed Up Al over this to protest? LOL.

I told her I needed to change. I had a close relationship with God and I changed. Now, my wife, has been with me over 18 years. We’ve been married 11 years. The best heart that you’ll ever know. She’s that type of person that’ll change your life. On why he cheated: It’s a difficult thing to do. Sometimes being married it makes you insecure dude. I looked like I had everything. It was scary, my wife is gorgeous. She might need somebody that’s smarter than me. It made me insecure. On his affair: With being insecure, with me being weak. I was so insecure and so down..I started messing with somebody that was beneath me. A bird. Evil. A liar. Somebody that was desperate and its just so pathetic.
