Jason Hoppy Files for Custody of Daughter, Mirrors Bethenny Frankel Divorce Demands

Unfortunately, it’s about to get ugly between Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel. A few weeks after Frankel filed for divorce and made such legal demands as primary custody of daughter Brynn ; sole use of the couple’s residence; and child support from her ex, Hoppy has gone ahead… and done pretty much the exact same thing. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Hoppy is also seeking primary custody of the two-year old, while asking for child support and all medical expenses related to himself and Brynn. The scorned reality star wants Frankel to name him as a beneficiary on her life insurance policy and he’s after “exclusive use and occupancy of the marital residence.” Frankel appeared on Ellen this month and tearfully said this split made her feel like a failure , but we have an inkling it won’t even be official any time soon. Considering the demands of both sides, this battle is destined to be drawn very far out.

Kate Middleton Portrait Artist Responds to "Vicious" Criticism

Kate Middleton’s portrait painter is speaking out in defense of his highly criticized, much maligned and often memed illustration of the Duchess of Cambridge. After receiving less-than-glowing reviews (to put it mildly), Paul Emsley revealed to Hello! that he and his family were upset by some of the negative feedback. Considering the Kate Middleton portrait was the biggest commission of his career, “I’d be inhuman if I said it didn’t affect me,” the award-winning artist said. “When you take on commissions like this, it is hazardous and you absolutely expect a bit of flak, but I expected nothing like the criticism I have received.” “I didn’t expect it to go to the levels it did.” While Kate told reporters she thought the painting was just “brilliant,” more than a few media outlets and fans of the royals were far less glowing. The near universal reaction was that it made the gorgeous Duchess look older and duller than her 31 years; even more unflattering, hilarious memes followed. After spending four months on it, Emsley likened the disparagement his work received to a “witch hunt” and “circus” that took an emotional toll on his family. “At first the attacks were so personal and vicious that there was a point where I doubted that the portrait of the duchess was any good,” he confesses. However, “now I’ve had time to reflect on it, I am still happy with it and am getting on with my life. There is nothing I would have changed,” he said. The 65-year-old painter suggested that perhaps the portrait doesn’t photograph well … which would be ironic in that there are like no bad Kate Middleton pics . Woman Loses Legs And Fingers From Dog Bite Infection A 48-year-old Texas woman recently faced a near death experience after a failed attempt to break up fighting family dogs during the holidays resulted in a dog bite that landed her in the hospital fighting for her life. via Fox News A Texas dog lover and mother of four lost her legs and almost all of her fingers after she suffered a rare infection from a dog bite on Christmas. 48-year-old Robin Sullins was left fighting for her life after doctors say she experienced a rare reaction to bacteria in dog saliva, My FoxAustin.com reports. Sullins’ family says on a web page set up to raise donations for her care that she was bitten on the finger and scratched on the leg while trying to break up a squabble between family dogs on Christmas. Two days later she was taken to the emergency room with a fever, chills, and vomiting. “By late Saturday night, early Sunday morning, she was pretty much on life support. We’re talking respirator, dialysis, feeding tube, being kept alive,” her mother Carole Wilson told MyFoxAustin.com. Her family says doctors were at first baffled by her symptoms, as Sullins grew worse. Sullins’ organs began failing and her hands and feet grew black and blue. Doctors were forced to amputate both of Sullins’ legs below the knee and nearly all of her fingers. Sounds like this woman was blessed to have survived this bizarre infection. Image via Shutterstock

Hi my name is Sammy and I met Justin on October 6th, 2012. His fanclub BieberFever was having a contest to win M&G’s and all you had to do was take a picture of all of your Justin merchandise. I decided to enter it when originally, I wasn’t going to because I didn’t think I’d have any chance of winning. I couldn’t even fit all of my Justin merchandise into one picture. I e-mailed them it on September 26th and my concert wasn’t until October 6th, and I wasn’t going to find out if I’d won or not until the day before the show. Then the day before the concert after I’d gotten home from school, I was sitting on my couch just playing on my phone. I thought to myself, “Oh well I should keep checking my email in case I’ve won.” Before I even opened the message, I saw that there was a new one from the BieberFever website! It COMPLETELY brought tears to my eyes and I ran outside to where my mom was. I was shaking and crying. I said, “HOLY SHIT MOM, I WON!!!!” I handed her my phone and she said, “Oh..my..god..we have to call your dad right now!!” She called him and I was hysterically crying, like I legitimately couldn’t stop sobbing. I was hyperventilating and my makeup was running because I was crying so much. The next day we left my house at about 12:00 in the afternoon since the meet & greet started at about 4:30 p.m. When we got our meet & greet wristbands, I almost started hysterically crying again. We then got into line. All of the sudden, I saw Scooter come outside so I was freaking out! I tried to get a picture with him but he went back inside too soon. Then I saw Scrappy! Once we got inside and finally got into the room that Justin was in, I saw Dan! The guy that was holding the curtain open was Kenny! Ahh, I just couldn’t believe it! We had to be in groups of 6, but thankfully I was the first person to walk in the room. I walked up to Justin, and my hand was covering my mouth because I just couldn’t believe what was happening. I said, “I love you so much,” and my mom said when I first walked in, she saw him smile at me! I gave him a hug he said, “Hi how are you?” I couldn’t even answer because I was so shocked. I was standing completely side by side with my IDOL! As soon as the guy was about to take the picture, he told us to scoot in closer and Justin pulled me completely into him. My arm was around him and he had his arm wrapped around my shoulders. It was the absolute best day of my freaking LIFE! I’ve been a Belieber since 2009 and if I finally got that amazing chance to meet him in 2012 (in which I never thought I would) I promise you, you will. This “man’s best friend” made a fatal mistake… Man Killed After Dog Steps On Gas Pedal And Runs Him Over A Florida man who was arriving home with his dog in the car suffered a fatal and unexpected death when  dog leaped into the car , stepped on the gas pedal, and ran over the man…… killing him on impact. via Yahoo News We’ve all seen tragic headlines about a man being killed by his best friend. But this sad story out of the Sunshine State is truly bizarre: James Campbell  died after his dog jumped into his van and landed on the vehicle’s accelerator . The Associated Press reports that Campbell, 68, has just returned home with Iris Fortner, 56, who had backed up to the driveway of their Florida Panhandle home. Campbell got out and stepped behind the vehicle to open the gate, and Fortner opened the driver’s side door to see where he was. That’s when her boxer bulldog reportedly jumped in, landing on the vehicle’s accelerator. The Florida Highway Patrol said Fortner tried to stop the van, but Campbell was already trapped underneath it. He was pronounced dead at the scene by officials. SMH. What a horrible way to lose your life.

Gene Rosen, a Connecticut good Samaritan who harbored six survivors of the Sandy Hook shooting, has become a target for “Truthers” accusing him of being a liar and/or actor. Yet another element of the Sandy Hook conspiracy , if you believe that sort of thing. How it come to be that an innocent bystander – some say hero – is now being harassed for it? On the morning of the infamous shooting, the Newtown, Conn., resident was feeding his cats when he discovered four terrified children hiding out in his driveway. They told Rosen their teacher was dead, and he listened to their chilling account of the tragedy that was still going on at the nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School. Rosen, 69, was subsequently interviewed by many of the media outlets that descended on the small community, his anguished face flashed across TV screens around the world. The sincerity of that anguish has since come into question by a group of Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists who call themselves “Truthers” and have made his life difficult. These individuals have so far posted Rosen’s personal info online, created fake social media accounts using his name and harassed the Newtown resident via email and phone. “I don’t know what to do,” retired psychologist Rosen told Salon . “There must be some way to morally shame these people, because there were 20 dead children lying there, an eighth of a mile from my window.” “I thought of an expression, that this ‘adds insult to injury,’ but that’s a stupid expression, because this is not an injury, this is an abomination.” Unfortunately for Rosen, it is an abomination that has gained traction. Websites have questioned Rosen’s motives for sharing his story, even suggesting that he made an “audition” tape and accusing him of “pedo under-tones.” A YouTube video suggests Rosen is a actually Screen Actors Guild thespian, and that “The only thing consistent about this clown’s act, is all the fake crying.” “The man has never shed an actual tear in a dozen interviews.” Yet another conspiracy theory blog calls Rosen a “bad crisis actor” who changes his story and focuses on the sound of Adam Lanza ‘s gunshots for political effect. His explanation for being so public about his experience? “I wanted to speak about the bravery of the children, and it kind of helped me work through this,” Rosen told Salon of his decision to give multiple interviews to the media. “I guess I kind of opened myself up to this.”
