Ryan Dunn Remembered In Tribute Video

Montage was played at ‘Jackass’ star’s memorial earlier this week. By Kara Warner Ryan Dunn Photo: Dickhouse Productions Earlier this week, Ryan Dunn’s family, friends and loved ones gathered at a memorial held at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles to mourn the “Jackass” star’s death . During the service, a very moving video tribute was played to honor Dunn, the second half of which was cut together by “Jackass” co-star Rick Kosick, and includes a song for Dunn by Roger Alan Wade, “The Light Outlives the Star.” “Ryan was really crazy about my cousin Roger,” Johnny Knoxville said in a statement to MTV News. “He loved his music and really looked up to him. Rog’ was equally as crazy about Ryan and, like everyone else, was shook by his passing. Rest in peace, brother. We love you.” The video tribute is a montage of Dunn’s greatest hits , most of them “Jackass”-related, cut together in a moving and very funny way that only the guys at Dickhouse Productions know how. For more tributes to Dunn, check out Dickhouse’s website. The five-and-a-half-minute video opens with the words “our brother” then cuts to a clip of Dunn walking in an office kitchen, saying hello to Wee-Man and subsequently being knocked to the ground by a giant hand (the same hand was a prominent feature in the “Antiquing” stunt in “Jackass 3-D”). This is followed by shots of Dunn riding an old-fashioned bicycle in a top hat and waistcoat, rolling off a roof in a large bucket, leaving a Port-o-Potty covered in blue paint, getting sprayed with mace while wearing a bear suit, “Poo Diving,” getting kick-boxed by a female boxer, riding small motorbikes and attempting to jump lakes, getting launched in the air and falling into various bodies of waters (lakes and pools, mostly), Dunn in a series of crazy costumes, etc. There are shots of stunts gone wrong, Dunn mugging for the camera and plenty of pranking with his “Jackass” brothers. The video ends with a shot of Dunn standing atop a jump ramp, dressed in a red-white-and-blue Evel Kneivel-like jumpsuit, motorcycle helmet in hand, kissing his hand and reaching it up in a silent prayer. That is followed by a shot of Dunn and Bam Margera laughing themselves silly in front of the London Bridge as Margera’s chair breaks and he falls to the ground, still laughing. Before the screen goes black, the words “We love you Ryan” appear over Dunn’s laughter. Share your condolences for Dunn’s friends and family in the comments below. Why Should You View Your Life Through A Broad Lens?

See the article here:

Have you ever had one of those days where you find yourself trying to piece together conversations you had with someone? This could be from a friendship, a potential love interest, or even a family member, as life can be confusing to figure out on occasion. Maybe you are trying to decipher how someone feels about a particular idea or just really have no idea what is going on anymore in terms of what a particular person or group are thinking. I, for one, tend to over-analyze everything unconsciously and always tend to find myself in these predicaments where I just have to step back and force myself to stop thinking for a while. In the long run, it can be better to just look at the big picture of events and let go of whatever is bothering you for a period of time in order to get your bearings back. Stewing over what someone said, especially if you might not know all the facts, is one of the worst things you could do, as it wastes valuable time and energy. What are the advantages of being more broad while viewing your life instead of just nitpicking every detail? One definite advantage is that you are able to focus on other things and not be distracted by dissecting the details of something trivial. It is undeniably healthy to take a break from something that bothers you and just put all of your attention into the task at hand, like your job or taking care of the kids, even if you have lingering doubts on something else. Sometimes, trying to budget your time between multiple things, especially if one of them is dragging you down, is not the best plan, especially if you are missing the big picture of the situation. Maybe you completely overlooked the overall message of what someone said or were too busy worrying to see that the person was viewing you favorably after-all. Using “this too shall pass” as a mantra in terms of your doubts is a fantastic plan, as getting worried prematurely or overreacting can end up being for naught. If you continue to not be able to see the big picture and need reassurance, call your friend or family member and try to decipher the situation through communication rather than the passive-aggressive approach you may be taking. In another light, seeing the intricacies in a situation is not most people are accustomed to when talking to someone. Personally, I’ve found that when I ask friends or family members why they said something, for example, many of them don’t even remember the small details that I might have taken away from the exchange. Only a handful of people are usually in-tune with the inverted lens of a situation and this could be a burden for them if you take things more sensitively than others. In order to move beyond the paranoia and see what is really occurring, sometimes you just need to step back and view the dialogue from their point of view, rather than adding your own interpretation to the mix! 5 Ways To Market Yourself & Combat Overthinking A final reason why you should view life situations more broadly is that life is too short to worry so much about the minute details. While many times, it’s good to keep an eye on the small moments that might be interludes into bigger problems, oftentimes there is not a reason to be worried about the state of your relationships. Maybe you need more sleep or it has just been a long, stressful day and you just need a detox from the office. Whatever the reason for your sensitivity, you might be worrying one day while there are many other moments in life for you to mold your attitude. If you keep the faith that everything will be okay in the end, you will start to really believe that and start looking toward the future for your happiness. Never give up your “glass is half full” attitude, since most often, that is all you need to kick-start your optimism and help you further towards fulfillment! To end this post, I quote Eleanor Roosevelt, who has proven to be very inspirational to me as of late and has some very strong convictions about viewing life with a broad lens. This quote is very true in that it summarizes the idea of looking beyond the fine details and exposing the truth through life experiences. Eleanor states: “My experience has been that work is almost the best way to pull oneself out of the depths.” To interpret this quote in terms of one’s standpoint in a conversation, in order to see the big picture of a situation, one has to keep on moving in life and not dwell on the intricacies of a moment. By keeping busy and constantly having one’s eye on the future, optimism can shine through and make one less likely to overreact. In this way, the broad lens of a moment is more important in that it keeps us motivated even when the small details might be trying to keep us down. The most important thing to remember is to keep your head up high, your eyes wide open, and a clear head on your shoulders, as by seeing the big picture of a situation, you can keep your life moving forward and successfully thwart distraction in your life! Jill Scott Scores First #1 on Billboard 200

Bon Iver debuts at #2, followed by Adele at #3 and ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic at #9. By Gil Kaufman Jill Scott’s The Light of the Sun Photo: Blues Babe Records R&B singer Jill Scott will notch her first #1 album next week when her fourth effort, Light of the Sun, crashes the top of the Billboard 200 chart thanks to sales of 135,000 copies, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. That was more than enough to hold off the charge from another chart-topping newbie, sensitive Wisconsin folkie Bon Iver (a.k.a. Justin Vernon), whose self-titled second collection of pastoral Auto-Tuned hymns hits #2 after selling 104,000 copies. The pair leads a parade of new faces, which include country singer Justin Moore at #5 with Outlaws Like Me (65,000), Pitbull , whose Planet Pit lands at #7 (55,000), and perennial chart-crashing joke man “Weird Al” Yankovic , who yuks his way to #9 with Alpocalypse (44,000). The rest of the top 10: Adele , 21 (#3, 101,000); Jackie Evancho , Dream With Me (#4, 77,000); Bad Meets Evil , Hell: The Sequel (#6, 63,000); Lady Gaga , Born This Way (#8, 49,000); and Jason Aldean , My Kinda Party (#10, 40,000). Speaking of parties, all-night disco rockers LMFAO wiggle in just outside the top 10 with their second effort, Sorry for Party Rocking, which hits #12 (27,000), while soul singer Ledisi takes a 10-spot tumble in week two with Pieces of Me, which falls to #18 (20,000). Without a smash hit like “Fireflies,” fans seemed to flee Owl City ‘s latest, All Things Bright and Beautiful , which plummets 26 spots in week two to #32, as sales drop 73 percent to 13,000. Pop punk veterans Simple Plan rolled into the #52 slot with Get Your Heart On! (9,000). Over on the iTunes charts, it’s a different story, as Bon Iver rules the album tally, followed by Adele, Scott, the Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″ collabo Bad Meets Evil, Pitbull, Moore, Mumford & Sons’ Sigh No More, LMFAO, Matt Nathanson’s Modern Love and a Frank Sinatra greatest hits collection. Katy Perry was the queen of the iTunes singles chart thanks to “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” which beat out Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger” collaboration with Christina Aguilera on “The Voice,” then LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything,” Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass,” Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory,” Hot Chelle Rae’s “Tonight Tonight,” Lil Wayne’s “How to Love” and Blake Shelton’s “Honey Bee.” Expect more shake-ups at the top next week when Beyonc

Jill Scott covers Billboard Magazine’s latest issue (week of July 2). Earlier this week, she released her fourth studio album after a 4-year hiatus that saw her get engaged and pregnant but, ultimately, left single. Inside, she talks about how she overcame the heartbreak and what she’s learned. On her new album “The Light Of The Sun”: “It’s exciting, because it’s on my own terms. I feel like my eyes are going to bulge out of my head. It’s like starting all over again. Music shouldn’t be a chore or feel like any kind of burden. It’s free and alive. And that’s where I am.”‘ On what she’s learned over the last 4 years: “I’ve missed myself. I’m sassy again, stronger. Now I understand this industry to a certain extent, and know how I work best. Having my son was one of the key factors in me leaving the old label. I need him to see me be as amazing as I can be so he feels fearless. I haven’t arrived at amazing yet. I’m in the process. But I want him to see me grow. I want to get another 30 years out of this amazing life of being an artist.” Jill Scott & Anthony Hamilton Are “So In Love” [NEW VIDEO] Jill Scott Shows Off 50-Lb. New “Playboy Club” TV Gets Blocked & Called Immoral

See more here:

The NBC station in Salt Lake City has informed the network that it will not air the new series “The Playboy Club” because the affiliate does not want to be associated with the Playboy brand. MTV Cancels Kiddie Porn TV Show “Skins” “For us, the issue is about the Playboy brand, something we believe is associated with pornography and something we don’t want to further in our programming,” Michelle Torsak, programming chief at station KSL. The drama series, produced by Ron Howard/Brian Grazer’s Imagine Television (with 20th Century Fox TV), stars Eddie Cibrian as one of the patrons of the original Playboy Club in 1960s Chicago. Halle Berry Re-Invents Her Body & Career In its newscast item Monday morning to announce its decision not to air “The Playboy Club,” KSL noted that its parent company is a sponsor of an Out in the Light Campaign, “which seeks to educate people on problems associated with viewing sexually explicit material.” In that campaign, the company is partnered with a group called Utah Coalition Against Pornography. The chairwoman of the coalition, Pamela Atkinson, noted in a guest editorial on KSL that “on television, in movie theaters, in music, on the Internet, virtually everywhere — you can find an outlet for material which we find pornographic, or at least, objectionable.” “There is a growing body of research,” Atkinson continued, “that shows exposure to such material indeed leads to many personal and social problems.” Which Artist Did You Vote To Bring Back To Life?
