Lindsay Lohan is a free woman … BUT FOR HOW LONG?! Seriously, the girl commits probation violations like Miley Cyrus ‘ idiot friends take semi-scandalous pics and videos of her. Lindsay’s little scuffle at Betty Ford may ultimately land her in a heap of trouble, and possibly even back in jail. Her fate rests with the Riverside County District Attorney. Officials believe Lindsay violated her probation in the altercation with a Betty Ford Center staff member, and if the judge handling her case agrees … trouble. Dawn Holland, a staffer at Betty Ford, claims Lindsay assaulted and injured her last month after allegedly violating her curfew. Lindsay sort of denies this. For whatever reason, Holland, who was fired for blabbing about the event to TMZ, pulled a 180 and told police she had no interest in pursuing the case. Without a witness cooperating, the case should go away. Right? Not necessarily. The Riverside PD says the case will be submitted to the D.A. anyway because police believe Lindsay may have committed battery. That would therefore constitute a violation of her probation. Very clearly stated, one of the terms of probation is that Lindsay must obey all laws. The Riverside PD is forwarding its file on the case to the L.A. County Probation Office. Our guess is they’ll still drop it, but it remains open for now. Should she go back to jail?

Dina Lohan confirms Lindsay’s release to E! News, saying, ‘It’s a great day.’ By MTV News staff Lindsay Lohan (file) Photo: Mark Ralston/ Getty Images It appears that Lindsay Lohan has been released from her four-month stint in rehab. According to E! News , Lohan’s mom, Dina, confirmed her daughter’s release from the Betty Ford Center, adding: “It’s a great day.” MTV News reached out to Lohan’s rep for an official statement but did not receive a response by press time. Lohan’s sixth stint in rehab came after she voluntarily entered the Ford Center in late September following an admission that she’d failed a court-mandated drug test. It was preceded by a 14-hour trip to jail — the same one she’d exited in August for violating her probation. That was followed by 23 days in court-ordered rehab. Despite being dropped from her one upcoming film project, “Inferno,” the problem-plagued star has plans to expand her 6126 fashion line. Lohan also recently posted a hopeful message on Twitter on New Year’s Day, writing, “Today is the first day of the rest of my life,” and then quoted spiritual icon Mahatma Ghandi’s message that, “The future depends on what we do in the present.” Her sometimes-estranged father, Michael, told CBS News that his daughter is doing “unbelievably” well. “She’s turned this whole situation around to use this to her advantage and she has taken the right steps and put the right people back in her life that she had at the best part of her life to really use it as a springboard,” Lohan said.
