By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Lindsay Lohan Photo: Dave McNew/ Getty Images Lindsay Lohan released a statement Thursday (July 8) through her lawyer calling her recent jail and rehab sentencing “unfair.” Gossip blogger Perez Hilton, however, thinks this is just the medicine Lohan needs to get her act together. “Do I think Lindsay Lohan’s sentencing was fair? Absolutely! Was it fair that Lindsay only served 90 some minutes last time she went to jail and then got released? No!” Hilton told MTV News on Thursday. “So, finally, fairness is catching up with Lindsay.” Hilton said Lohan has had her chances and that now is the time for her to finally seize this moment and get her life back on track, even if she doesn’t see it that way. “She has been given so many opportunities in the past, so now that her lawyer and her have released a statement saying that it’s unfair, I want to laugh at them,” he said. “That’s just ridiculous. It’s more than fair.” While it is still unknown how much of her jail term she will serve before she heads to court-ordered rehab, Hilton said Lohan should prepare to serve all of it. “I think Lindsay should be prepared to serve a full 90 days, and she should be thankful for it,” he said. Why? “Because it really is the best thing that could happen for her in addition [to the rehab]. “I think Lindsay will hold up just fine in jail,” he continued. “The Lohans know how to handle incarceration. Lindsay’s father could give some tips.” What still surprises Hilton most about Lohan’s latest woes is the fact that she had planned to have a birthday party, which she eventually skipped , just a day after her Tuesday hearing. “What is so incredulous to me is how above the law she thought she was,” he said. “She was scheduled to be in court on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, she had a birthday party planned.
