Student Caught On Camera Punching Teacher In Class Clips like these help us understand why that California teacher decided to deliver the smackdown to an aggressively disrespectful and threatening student last week. According to WMAR ABC News Baltimore , a female student at Frederick Douglass High School in Baltimore City got into a verbal disagreement with a teacher and was caught on tape sucker-punching the woman in the jaw in a now-viral clip. In the video, the young woman can be heard accusing the teacher of “getting smart” with her as another student attempts to calm her down. Next, the girl pushes the other student away and punches her teacher on the left side of her face, seemingly attempting to knock the woman unconscious. Still, the teacher exhibited grace and patience, calmly following the student out of the room and it appears attempting to reason with her. Several social media users who have posted the video claim that the teacher was fresh back in the classroom after a leave of absence to have surgical cancer treatment. SMH. Earlier this week, Ray J found himself back in the news after The Sun alleged that he got very drunk in a London club and blurted out some fascinating stuff about Kim Kardashian. Specifically, some fascinating stuff about Kim Kardashian in bed . According to this awesome report, Kim sometimes adjusts her makeup DURING SEX. She also sometimes took phone calls from her mom DURING SEX. Oh, and Kim had a check of lingerie and sex toys worth about $100,000 during her time as Ray J’s girlfriend, which lasted from about 2005 through 2007. The ex-couple, of course, continues to be well-known for their relationship because it culminated in the world famous Kim Kardashian sex tape , Kim Kardashian Superstar . On top of that negative distraction, Gillum was polling by as many as seven percentage points and as few as three over DeSantis, depending on which survey was being cited. The distinction between the two became clearer when they faced off twice for gubernatorial debates, during which Gillum showed his mastery of Florida policy while reducing DeSantis to racist dog-whistling attacks instead of substantive talking points. Aside from warning Florida voters not to “monkey this up” by electing Gillum, the Republican’s white supremacist supporters funded racist robocalls to Floridians that included monkey sounds. There was even the apparent FBI probe into Gillum allegedly inappropriately receiving tickets to the hit Broadway show “Hamilton,” but that issue seemed to fade pretty quickly after DeSantis tried to make it into a bigger deal than it was during the debates. Still, Gillum found the time to remain an effective mayor while waging a legitimate run for governor, even suspending his own campaign twice to deal with natural disaster striking Florida as well as a deadly shooting in Tallahassee. Even though Larissa made Colt’s mom cry on this week’s 90 Day Fiance , she’s not the only target for the wrath of viewers. Kalani’s sister and her father have both been the targets of intense fan criticism over how they treated Asuelu in the episode. So Kalani took to social media to defend her family. She also took her social media private to block out the haters. Kalani does not have time for haters who are coming after her family. On this week’s episode, Asuelu met Kalani’s family and began his uphill battle towards being accepted. It didn’t help that he took Kalani’s virginity and impregnated her while she was on vacation. (That’s not a way to start things off on the right foot with someone’s deeply Mormon family, folks) But Kalani’s sister also resented his sudden intrusion into the family — and the fact that he had cheated on Kalani. Kalani’s dad had … other, more complicated concerns. First, Kalani defended her sister, Kolini, after fans gave her a hard time for resenting baby Oliver’s dad. “My sister WAS Oliver’s dad for his first five months,” Kalani writes on Instagram. “She watched him when I had to go back to work for Asuelu’s papers,” she says. “She bought all of the s–t I didn’t get from my baby shower,” she adds. Kalani continues: “and let me skip rent/bills when I had to buy his plane tickets for his interviews and doctor’s appointments.” That is one hell of a supportive sister — and a supportive aunt. Kalani makes it clear that Asuelu deserved some of her sister’s ire. “Asuelu wasn’t paid in coconuts, dumbasses,” Kalani says of her baby daddy’s job. “He made $600 American a month,” she shares. “With no bills.” “As a sister, if you know you’re throwing downtime and money to help your nephew,” she says. Kalani continues: “and know that the father isn’t helping in ways that he could — YOU’D BE SALTY TOO!” Yep. As we mentioned, things were a little more complicated for Kalani’s father. Her dad didn’t want her to be with a Samoan man, which sounds racist until you remember that he himself is Samoan. “You know how I feel about you being with my kind of people,” he told her on 90 Day Fiance . “It’s just the way I was born and raised,” he said. “It’s a fast life here and it’s a slow life there.” That sounds like internalized racism — when people absorb prejudices about themselves — and fans were upset. Kalani says that some of her statements about her dad wanting her to be with “white men” were taken out of context. (We absolutely had to include this — both Asuelu and baby Oliver’s first Halloween!) 90 Day Fiance is absolutely no stranger to scenes in which things were taken out of context. We don’t think that Kalani thinks that white men offer more stability than Samoan men. We hope that her father doesn’t really feel that way. It is totally understandable that Kalani opted to make her Instagram private after dealing with all of that backlash following this week’s episode. G eorgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp stooped to a new low, even for him, in his ongoing efforts to keep Black people from voting for Stacey Abrams , the Black woman running against him for governor. Voting machines, which fall under the responsibility of the secretary of state, were delivered to majority Black precincts without any cords to provide them with electrical power for voters to cast their ballots. Kemp’s “dirty tricks” caused delays of up to four hours at polling places where hundreds of voters at a time were left waiting. See Also: Coincidence? Black People In Georgia Typically Get The Oldest Voting Machines, Increasing Chances Of Error “Brian Kemp is playing in the game and he’s also the referee!” Rashad Robins , president of the racial justice group Color of Change, told NewsOne Tuesday afternoon. “The word we’re hearing is about suppression and dirty tricks, long lines and broken down polling places.” Kemp, who has President Donald Trump ’s endorsement, oversees the election system. He’s also been on the receiving end of multiple federal lawsuits over his attempts to suppress Black votes. They range for rejecting certain absentee ballots , blocking approximately 53,000 voter registration forms and purging some 700,000 voters from the state’s voting rolls—all targeting African-American voters. Kemp and Abrams were locked in a neck-and-neck race. According to a Daily News report , Michelle Pierson says her feline Mia noticed a lump that ended up being breast cancer and that the early detection has given her a better shot. Pierson says her rescue cat crawled on top of her chest and sniffed around the spot where the cancer was eventually found. She did so several times, even after her owner would shoo her away. She finally rested on the cancer spot. Pierson says she felt a lump and went ti the doctor, who then detected stage 2 breast cancer. Wow! Press play to hear her story first hand.
