Terrell Owens Chooses Not To Attend His Induction Into NFL Hall of Fame

Source: photo: WENN After missing out on making the Hall of Fame his first go ’round, Terrell Owens has been chosen to be enshrined in that building in Canton, Ohio. However,  he’s not impressed with that feat anymore. At least not enough to attend his own ceremony. In an act of defiance (and pettiness), Terrell Owens has chosen to skip his induction into the Hall of Fame for a celebration of his own according to ESPN . “While I am incredibly appreciative of this opportunity, I have made the decision to publicly decline my invitation to attend the induction ceremony in Canton,” Owens said in a statement released Thursday. “… After visiting Canton earlier this year, I came to the realization that I wish to celebrate what will be one of the most memorable days of my life, elsewhere.” Um, ok. While TO’s decision reeks of resentment and bitterness, HOF president David Baker respects Owen’s choice to not attend. “We are disappointed but will respect Terrell’s decision not to participate in the enshrinement,” Hall of Fame president David Baker said in a statement. “While unprecedented, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the nearly 5,000 volunteers and the entire community are committed to celebrating the excellence of the Class of 2018 that will kick off the NFL’s 99th season.” The ceremony will take place on August 4th in Canton, Ohio, which leaves Owen’s a lot of time to change his mind, but from the looks of things he seems ready to live with a big regret just to make a point. At least he took the time to congratulate everyone else who made it to legendary status. “I wish to congratulate all past, current and future inductees,” Owens said in the statement. “It is quite an honor to be part of such elite company. This honor is something that I will cherish forever.” It’s not too late to get over your own ego, TO. Just sayin.’

Instagram’s Latest Update Will Allow Users To Re-Share Friends Stories

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Instagram just released a new update. NO, it’s not in regards to making your timeline chronological again, but it is something users have been asking for. Well sort of. Instagram @mention sharing which will now allow users to re-share Instastories but there is a catch though, you have to be tagged in the post. This marks the first time Instagram has publicly announced they have been considering the feature. They did test a regram button, but this version of re-sharing in this limited capacity is as close to a regram button users will get for now. Here is how the new feature will work as broken down Instagram on its blog : “When someone mentions you in their story, you receive a notification in your Direct message thread with that person — now, you’ll see an option to add that content to your own story. Tap it to see that story as a sticker – you can scale, rotate and position it and add creative tools like text or stickers on to it as well. When your followers see your story, the original poster’s username will appear and will be tappable, so people can explore your friend’s profile as well. Only public accounts can have their stories shared.” Source: Instagram / Instagram The latest update comes on the heels of reports of Instagram entertaining the idea of hour-long videos and adding a mute feature . This news though is more welcoming because it’s a feature that was honestly wanted. We still are waiting for the company to announce they plan on making our timelines great again by fixing the algorithm. We thought we were heading in that direction back in March when they announced “Newer Posts” will show in your feed more often. Bank Says Singer Stopped Making Payments On Two Of Her Mansions She made a fresh start earlier this year when she divorced her alleged cheater husband Kendu Isaacs. But it looks like Mary J. Blige still hasn’t been able to off shake her husband or their legal troubles after a bank sued the pair and started foreclosure proceedings and claimed they’ve stopped making payments on two of her palatial homes, BOSSIP can reveal. Last month, Apex Bank sued both Blige and Isaacs to foreclose on properties in Cresskill and Saddle River, NJ, claiming the pair hadn’t made payments in months. In the first lawsuit, Blige and Isaacs are accused of not paying down the $8.1 million mortgage that Blige used to buy the Saddle River estate for $12.3 million 10 years ago. The property boasts eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a studio, media room, library and staff quarters. The second suit accuses Blige and her ex of defaulting on another $2 million mortgage that she used to buy another place a few towns over. Blige bought that home back in 2001, and the 6,100 square foot home has six bedrooms, a master suite on its own private floor and sits on an acre lot. The bank wants control of the two homes and Blige and Isaacs out ASAP. It was unclear Thursday who lived in the properties, but one was taken off the market shortly after the couple’s divorce became final. Besides the lawsuits, Blige and Isaacs are dealing with more money troubles: namely the more than $5 million in federal tax liens from the IRS for income earned from 2009 through 2010 through 2011 and 2015, the liens state. Neither Blige nor Isaacs had responded to the foreclosure as of Thursday, according to court records.

Woman Claims Target Employees Made Her Strip To Prove She Didn’t Steal A Bikini

According to MLive.com ,  Ashanae Davis , 20, was shopping at a Southfield Target on May 29 with a bag from another store with a swimsuit in it. Out of nowhere, a white security guard grabbed her by the arm, while another one, who was Black, handcuffed her. From there, they dragged her into a room with three store employees: A white man, a Black man and white female manager, her attorney Jasmine Rand told the Associated Press . Then she says she was humiliated when they forced her to lift up her shirt and pull down her pants to show them she was not concealing merchandise. Ashanae Davis said she was forced to lift her shirt and pull down her pants in front of three Target employees after being falsely accused of stealing a bikini. https://t.co/uKbvzDMmUq — HuffPost BlackVoices (@blackvoices) June 6, 2018 “Initially, I was in shock. I couldn’t believe what was going on,” Davis told NBC News . “I was scared — afraid of what was going to happen next.” The swimsuit was later determined to be from another retailer, not stolen from Target. Even worse? According to Rand, “The African-American employee apologized to [Davis] and said, ‘This happens all the time,’ and he was afraid he would lose his job” if he didn’t participate. The other two [who were white] did not apologize at all.” Store officials has since apologized and have fired the security worker who initially grabbed Davis. “We want everyone who shops at Target to feel welcomed and respected and take any allegations of mistreatment seriously,” Target said in a statement. “We’re sorry for the actions of our former team member, who created an experience we don’t want any guest to have at Target. Upon reviewing our team’s actions, we terminated the team member who was directly involved.” But in Davis’ mind, this apology is not enough. She r ecently told Teen Vogue , “Target informed the public that it fired the black male loss prevention officer involved in the incident, but failed to fire the white male loss prevention officer and the white female manager, who — to me and my attorneys — are the two most guilty parties.” She added: “I do not feel vindicated or like justice has been served by Target allowing the black loss prevention officer to take the fall for the other employees and its company. That’s just another act of racial discrimination, and I hope [the black loss prevention officer] gets an attorney too. Hate can’t drive out hate.” Davis, along with her lawyers, are filing a suit against Target. This isn’t the first time Target has been accused of racial profiling this year. As NBC pointed out, a few months ago a Black man said he was  racially profiled at a Target in Waconia, Minnesota when he was told he couldn’t touch headphones he wanted to buy because they feared he would steal them. In addition, in April, Target agreed to a $3.7 million settlement in a lawsuit alleging that the company’s  criminal background check process was biased  against black and Latino applicants. Target, please get your act together. Nathan Griffith to David Eason: Let’s Fight, You Punk B-tch!

As with Jenelle Evans’s previous boyfriends, Nathan Griffith was not exactly a hit with viewers during his time on Teen Mom 2 . But Jenelle has dedicated her life to finding new rock bottoms. And that’s how she wound up with David Eason, arguably the worst baby daddy in the storied history of the Teen Mom franchise. Currently, Jenelle is locked in a custody battle with Nathan , and based on what we’re hearing out of court, things are getting extremely ugly. Like, “ugly even by Jenelle Evans standards” ugly. The latest documents have Griffith accusing Eason of punching Kaiser , Nathan’s 3-year-old son with Jenelle. Not surprisingly, Nathan is less than pleased by these allegations. And so, he hopes to settle the score with David not in court — but in the octagon: “DAVID! I begged @mtv to host a mma fight for us and because of you they can’t now. Fighting words?!?!?” Nathan tweeted this week. Please, I would love to. I want a perfectly legal, conscience [sic] decision (on your part) and good fight.” Griffith added: “I know if it’s in a ring, the moment you come at me… Imma clean that clock of yours and then maybe you can think straight!”  “I know you all would love to start a fundraiser to see this fight. And if you get it together, I know I’ll be there and show up to fight for  Obviously, this is awesome for many reasons. First and foremost is the fact that Nathan Griffith wants to kick David Eason’s ass, which he could very easily do. (Take away his guns and David isn’t such a tough guy.) But there’s also the fact that Nathan apparently talks like a 79-year-old Korean War vet when he’s pissed off. (We’re totally stealing “I’ll clean that clock of yours!”) Yet another reason this situation absolutely rules? Jeremy Calvert is getting in on the act. We’ve known for quite some time that Calvert hates Eason, and it seems that just like the rest of us, he wants to see David weep like a frightened child as fists of rage rain down upon his skull. “Sh-t, I’ll host it,” Jeremy said in reference to Nathan’s fight tweet. Calvert was among the many who called for Eason to be fired  from Teen Mom 2 after he launched a bizarre, homophobic tirade on social media. And this is not the first time that Jeremy has encouraged Nathan in his ongoing battle against David. “If Nathan don’t [sic] try to get his kid, I don’t know what to tell that dude,” he tweeted earlier this year. “I would have already been in court… even if I had to empty my savings account out, I’d go broke.” Watch Teen Mom 2 online to remind yourself of just how badly David needs to get his ass whupped.

Driver Jumps on Car, Smashes Windows: See the Road Rage!!

Road rage is a toxic and often alarming phenomenon. But this takes things several steps further. Captured on camera, a man in a fury of roadrage rams his car into another vehicle repeatedly, then gets out to stomp on the other car. You have to see this video for yourself, but we've immortalized a few of the highlights in gif form because they are worth seeing. Watch that again. As you can see, his car is already damaged. So, according to police and eyewitness reports, here is what happened: Just before 1:30pm on Monday, June 4, two vehicles exited Highway 50 in Sacramento. Then, near X and 10th street, a white Chevy Trailblazer began ramming into a silver Ford Fiesta. Repeatedly . Sacramento police say that the Ford Fiesta left the area … which is when the Trailblazer picked a new victim. Authorities say that the Trailblazer then began ramming a blue Honda CRV, which had been parked. The repeated blows forced the vehicle into the intersection of X and 10th. Mercifully, the CRV was not occupied at the time. By this point, of course, there were multiple bystanders. A few were quick-thinking enough to film the horrifying displays of violence, aggression, and rage. One of the eyewitnesses was Nikki Guinn, who lives in the area. “I was inside and I heard a car accident.” Well, she heard a collision . An accident would imply that it's not intentional. But she didn't know that, yet. “Then, I heard my roommate yell, ‘He’s going to hit him again.’” She remarked upon the behavior and speculates about the mental state of the driver, saying: “He didn’t seem deterred or even aware of other people’s surroundings.” The video would seem to support that. The driver, who would later be identified as 40-year-old Jose Garcia Alvarez, did not stop there. After his efforts to destroy the other vehicle with his own car were exhausted — you can see white smoke rising from his rear tires — he got out of the car. Not to get help or even to flee the scene — but to physically attack the car with his own body. Police say that he was mostly just smashing what remained of the empty vehicle's windshield. We are thankful that the car was not occupied. As you can imagine, Alvarez was super arrested. He was first taken to a hospital for treatment, then booked on charges of vandalism and assault. Guinn, despite witnessing the violence, takes a sympathetic tone when she describes him. “He seemed really upset. There’s a couple of moments where he bends over and he starts hitting his head and he just seems really lost.” Officers did mention that they had been alerted that he may have been under the influence of narcotics. “I think we just need to be more aware of what people are going through.” That is good advice. That does not, of course, mean that anyone needs to allow themselves to be put in harm's way. “Our inkling is to make fun and say nasty things about what this man was doing. But the truth is, none of us know.” She's right. That is … very insightful for a random bystander. Good job, Guinn.

Alan O’Neil Dies; Sons of Anarchy Actor Was 47 Years Old

Alan O’Neil, a veteran actor best known for his role on the final two seasons of Sons of Anarchy, was found dead on Wednesday night. He was 47 years old. According to TMZ, O’Neil’s body was found in the hallway of her Los Angeles apartment this week, with all appearances indicating that he died very suddenly. The actor reportedly had a history of heart problems and was also a heavy smoker. Moreover, TMZ reports, O’Neil struggled over the years with alcohol and drug abuse. An autopsy will be conducted at some point in the near future to determine cause of death, but law enforcement sources say no foul play is suspected at this time. A veteran actor who has made a living in this industry since the 1990s, O’Neill is likely best known to American audiences for the role of Hugh on the aforementioned FX hit. He portrayed this excommunicated member of the IRA for seven total episodes and even appeared on the series finale in 2014. However, O’Neil’s longest run on a series took place in Ireland’s Fair City, on which he portrayed a main character named Keith McGrath. He had just been cast in a horror film called Charlie Lives: The Family’s Return prior to his tragic passing. “My good friend Alan O’Neill died today….we worked together on The Sons Of Anarchy…my condolences to his family,” actor Timothy V. Murphy Tweeted in response to O’Neil’s death this evening. “So sad to hear of the passing of Alan O’Neill who played ‘Keith’ in Fair City,” actor Seamus Power wrote, continuing: “Always enjoyed working with him. Rest In Peace old pal.” “Thinking of him, his family and friends…and all his fans. Rest easy,” added a fan on social media. This very sad loss comes just one month after another Sons of Anarchy star, David Labrava, revealed on that his 16-year-old son, Tycho Spelis Chiusano, had taken his own life after battling depression . “Never in a million years would I think I would be posting this,” he wrote on Instagram in mid-May, adding at the time: “This is my boy Tycho. He took his life a couple of days ago at 16 years old. “He suffered from a depression we couldn’t see because he was a happy young kid.
