About 10 months ago, Senator John McCain revealed his brain cancer diagnosis . It is grim news for the season politician’s loved ones and his many admirers. McCain reportedly has a final request that is turning heads. Whenever his funeral may be, he does not want Donald Trump to attend. John McCain doesn’t know how much longer his extraordinary life will last. Final requests are a tradition for those who know that their end may be near. Whenever reasonable, they should be respected. McCain’s final wish … is bound to ruffle some political favors. Friends and loved ones have been visiting him at his home in Arizona. Multiple outlets, including The New York Times , have reported that John McCain doesn’t want Trump at his funeral . Some have seen this as McCain disliking Trump so much that he doesn’t even want him around his remains. McCain has often voted along with Trump’s agenda. Though he tends to speak out when he disagrees with his party’s efforts and policies, he usually votes along party lines. But, dating back to before Trump dissed McCain’s military service saying that he prefers soldiers who weren’t captured, there has been no love lost between the two. So, is this request meant to be “McCain throwing shade” at Trump? It seems more likely that McCain is thinking of his family and other loved ones. His wife and daughters should not have to deal with the attention-grabbing maelstrom that is Trump, especially on such a solemn day. Especially since McCain has apparently asked that Mike Pence be sent in Trump’s stead. That, many feel, speaks more to a man hoping for an uneventful funeral than it does to a man sending a political middle finger. McCain has reportedly been receiving visitors. Longtime friends and loved ones have come to see him in recent months. Despite his prognosis — and things do look grim — visitors are apparently not telling him “goodbye” just yet. McCain is apparently not a fan of what he considers excessive sentimentality. Some of us may find that shocking, but McCain is a War Hero who survived years of captivity and torture. He’s tough. Besides, we think that it is safe to say that the “goodbye” is understood. McCain’s critics would like to remind people that he is not blameless in the current political crisis. In 2008, McCain’s team picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, hoping to capitalize on her charismatic appeal to the Republican base in a way that would compete with then-Senator Obama’s “star power.” Palin, who quickly demonstrated that she was woefully unprepared to be President if needed and lacked a great deal of policy knowledge as well as what some consider to be basic information, changed the political landscape. She “went rogue” repeatedly during the McCain campaign. It is not difficult to see the easy parallels between Palin’s lack of preparation, impulsive statements that are contrary to fact, and galavanizing effect on the GOP base with Trump’s campaign. Many say that, had McCain made a wiser choice in 2008, the Trump Presidency would never have happened. Many have brought up McCain’s voting record. Satirical news source The Onion published a headline: “Lindsey Graham Vows To Uphold John McCain’s Legacy By Blindly Supporting GOP Agenda After Grumbling For A Few Minutes” Some consider that headline to be harsh. Others say that it’s a fair assessment. It’s arguably both. Whatever one thinks of McCain’s political career, voting history, or status as an alleged “maverick” in D.C. … this is a man who has led an extraordinary life of public service to the United States. His family and loved ones will miss him, as will countless colleagues. Even those who knew him from across the aisle. And we can all agree that most people would probably prefer that Trump not attend their funerals, either. Let’s hope that McCain outlives Trump’s political career. Whatever’s going on with her, it’s been going on for a very long time, and honestly, it’s hard to say if it’s something new or just her general shortcomings. We do know that when she gave birth to her daughter Ensley in January of 2017, the baby had marijuana in her system , meaning that Jenelle had smoked while pregnant. We also know that the drug test resulted in a investigation from child protective services. They visited the Eason home multiple times, but the case was ultimately closed, reportedly because Jenelle was able to get a medical marijuana card in California. That doesn’t make sense at all — she lives in North Carolina, and that state doesn’t recognize medical cards — but that’s apparently what happened. Either way, the case was closed, but more issues popped up with Nathan Griffith’s mother, Doris, tried to get emergency custody of Kaiser . In court documents, Doris claimed that Jenelle and David were abusing and neglecting Kaiser, and that the boy had even told her that David had punched him in the head. She also said that Jenelle was fond of locking all the kids outside during the day, which isn’t great in any case, but it’s especially concerning since Doris then alleged that Jace had gotten lost in the woods for hours one day. Oh, in between those two things, Jenelle also lost her big custody case with her mother Barbara over Jace — Barb got permanent custody while Jenelle got some visitation . Throughout all that, she began feuding with her fellow Teen Mom 2 cast members, more than usual, even. Kailyn Lowry is pretty much her mortal enemy now, and so is Leah Messer. She’s had issues with Chelsea Houska for a while. The only cast member she’s cool with is Briana DeJesus, probably because she’s super messy, too. What else … David got fired from the show , and a lot of people think she should be fired, too, that seems important. There’s a whole lot going on, to say the least. And then there’s the issue of that terrifying road rage incident from last week. In case you missed it, or in case you just needed to hear about how crazy the whole thing was one more time, Jenelle got so angry at another driver that she followed him back to his home and pulled a gun on him . According to her 911 call, a man cut her off and made her hit the brakes so hard that Jace, who was in the front seat, almost got whiplash. But according to the man and other witnesses, she was driving erratically, and when he passed her she flipped out and followed him back to his house to confront him. She hit some vehicles on his property as well as a few mailboxes, then threatened him with a gun, all while Jace was in the front seat — some reports claim she had another kid in the back. So yeah, it’s all terrible, right? And because of all this, a new report states that Jenelle is refusing to show up for the filming of the Teen Mom 2 reunion special, which is scheduled to film in a few weeks. An insider claims that “Jenelle has been saying that she doesn’t want to go to the reunion because David isn’t allowed to go.” “Jenelle doesn’t want to go anywhere without David, and MTV isn’t paying for him to come to the reunion.” That makes sense — if they fired him, why would they pay for a plane ticket, a hotel, and whatever else MTV provides for the cast during filming? The source adds that “David is trying to talk her out of going too, manipulating her and telling her that she should just skip it.” Another good reason she sees to skip it is because “Jenelle hates the other girls, except Briana, and she knows they’re all just going to be sh-tty to her.” … Maybe because she was sh-tty to them first? As for MTV’s point of view, the source says that “Jenelle isn’t getting any more special treatment. Her MTV contract says she needs to go to the reunion.” “Jenelle’s outrageous demands all season have been ignored by MTV and they’re expecting her to show up for the reunion.” The report points out that she’s been on the verge of getting fired lately, what with the crazy gun incidents, so breaking her contract wouldn’t be the smartest move right now. On Saturday afternoon, Prince William and Kate Middleton surprised their many millions of fans by sharing two new photos of their precious new bundle of joy. In the first image, Prince Louis is being cradled and kissed by big sister Charlotte and the resulting image is nearly too cute to handle: Right?!?!?!?!?! Little Louis, of course, came into the world on April 23 . Following months of excitement and even speculation that Middleton was pregnant with twins, the Royal Couple announced on a Monday morning that Charlotte and Prince George now have a brother. “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101 hrs,” read the official Kensington Palace statement at the time. It then added two key pieces of information: “The baby weighs 8 lbs 7 oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.” Louis was born in Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London – where the couple’s other kids were also born – and is dressed in all white for his pair of new photos. In the one below, Louis is on his own, giving social media users their first true and clear glimpse and his angelic face: This second photo was reportedly snapped on April 26, when Louis was just three days old. (And on which Charlotte turned three years old.) In the past, William and Kate waited about a month before dropping similar professional pictures on the world of their children. “Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank members of the public for all of the kind messages they have received following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte’s third birthday,” Kensington Palace announced this week. It is unlikely that we will see Prince Louis in public until his christening, however. Mackenzie McKee has some seriously tragic news for us this weekend. Back in January, as you may recall, the Teen Mom 3 star announced that her mother, Angie Douthit, had been diagnosed with stage four brain and lung cancer . The family started a GoFundMe account to help cover medical costs, and in the description for the fundraiser they explained that she had tumors that “cover almost the entire brain,” and that she had several masses in her lungs. The diagnosis was especially shocking because Angie’s always been very healthy — she never smoked, she didn’t drink, she ran marathons. Mackenzie said at the time that she’d went to the doctor because she thought she had bronchitis. In the months since her diagnosis, Angie has been going strong. She’s been giving some inspirational speeches and spending lots of time with family, judging by Mackenzie’s Instagram post. But now, in another post, we have a new update on how she’s doing. And unfortunately, it’s bad news. “O mom, you are so amazing,” Mackenzie begins her post. “Idk how you are touching lives all around the world of people who have never met you but you are.” “You have such a strong message to share and you are not scared to shout it to the rooftops.” “You don’t deserve this, none of it,” she continues. “So happy, so healthy, and so faithful to God.” “Stage four cancer in your lungs, in your brain, and now in your bones. And not once have you questioned Gods love for you.” Yep, you read that right — now, in addition to the brain cancer and the lung cancer, Angie also has cancer in her bones. Mackenzie goes on to explain that they just got the bad news a few days ago, and that this whole nightmare has been “exhausting and expensive.” So to help with some of the costs, she’s asking her fans to consider purchasing one of her “fitness at home workout programs,” the workout and nutrition guides she sells on her site, Body by Mac To her mother, Mac writes “One thing you wish people would do is to remain healthy and to #alwaysbekind. You helped me with my #bodybymac 3 month program and have always been my number one cheerleader through this all.” And so this weekend, if you buy one of her programs, all that money “will go towards the cost of all travel expenses and medication because you’re so good and telling people to stop complaining, get off their butts, and get active.” “So here is to donating and getting healthy at the same time.” It’s definitely a sweet gesture, and it really seems like Mackenzie is doing everything in her power to help her mother right now. Remember, although we know who she is and although she starred on an MTV show, Teen Mom 3 only got one season before it was canceled, and that was back in 2013. We know that the moms’ salaries get increased every season, and that when the shows started out, they didn’t make too much at all, considering. For reference, Briana DeJesus reportedly made $20,000 for her first season of Teen Mom 2, which isn’t a lot, considering the other moms brought in around $300,000. Add in those three kids of hers , and there’s a good chance that Mackenzie doesn’t have any of her MTV money left, and that she’s trying to capitalize on the fame she has with her workout programs. We can’t blame her for that, and if she’s also using that fame to try to get donations to help her mother?
