Source: Chris Hondros / Getty A video of two African American men being removed by at least six officers from a Philadelphia Starbucks as they were reportedly waiting for a business associate has gone viral. See the video below: @Starbucks The police were called because these men hadn’t ordered anything. They were waiting for a friend to show up, who did as they were taken out in handcuffs for doing nothing. All the other white ppl are wondering why it’s never happened to us when we do the same thing. pic.twitter.com/0U4Pzs55Ci — Melissa DePino (@missydepino) April 12, 2018 According to Philly.com, Commissioner Richard Ross, said Starbucks staff called 911 and “said two males were trespassing” and “refused to leave.” The men hadn’t ordered food, and had asked to use the restroom. Starbucks policy does “not allow nonpaying people from the public to come in and use the restroom.” Ross said. Police then asked the men to leave, since Starbucks wanted them out but they reportedly refused. At that point the men were arrested without resistance and were later released after Starbucks declined to press charges, per Ross. Ross said the men were told they were trespassing and were “asked to leave politely,” three times. He said the men answered that “we don’t care,” which Ross called the “same type of attitude” Starbucks staff had described. Splash News Charlize Theron Says There Are Parts Of America That She Would Not Bring Her Black Children Chelsea Handler interviewed Charlize Theron for ELLE Magazine about her newest role as Marlo in the new Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman film Tully and she talked a lot about her kids and how racism in America has made her consider moving. CH: You’re raising two children of color. Obviously, coming from South Africa, you know a lot about racial inequality, but what are your thoughts on Black Lives Matter and our current climate? CT: Being raised during the apartheid era in South Africa made me so hyperaware of equality and human rights. Of course, I have two black kids, but that was always something I was passionate about. I don’t even know how to talk about the last year under our new administration. But racism is much more alive and well than people thought. We can’t deny it anymore. We have to be vocal. There are places in this country where, if I got a job, I wouldn’t take it. I wouldn’t travel with my kids to some parts of America, and that’s really problematic. There are a lot of times when I look at my kids and I’m like, If this continues, I might have to [leave America]. Because the last thing I want is for my children to feel unsafe. CH: It’s a tough conversation to have. CT: We’re not there yet, but trust me, we talk. I want them to know who they are, and I want them to be so fu***ng proud of who they are. Building confidence for them right now is an oath I made to myself when I brought them home. They need to know where they come from and be proud of that. But they’re going to have to know that it’s a different climate for them than it is for me, and how unfair that is. If I can do something about that, of course I’m going to. It definitely sounds like Charlize is a good protective parent riiiiiight? Have you considered moving because of American racism?

Rodriguez/Getty Images for Turner Image Tracy Morgan Gets His Star On The Walk Of Fame Comedian and actor Tracy Morgan has joined the prestigious group of entertainers to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The former Saturday Night Live cast member and star of 30 Rock was rightfully honored on Tuesday, in a ceremony that took place on Hollywood Boulevard adjacent to the W Hollywood hotel. Morgan addressed the crowd in attendance for his big moment saying, “When I was a poor kid growing up in the projects in Brooklyn I never dreamed of having a star on the Walk of Fame, but now I’m here, I have to tell you I feel pretty comfortable.” Fellow comedians Martin Lawrence and Jordan Peele were also in attendance to both watch and help present their friend with his star. Peel is the co-creator of Morgan’s new show The Last O.G. , and Tracy got his start in Lawrence’s show Martin back in 1994. During the ceremony, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce also proclaimed the day as “Tracy Morgan Day” in Hollywood, which is an even bigger honor than his star on the Walk Of Fame.
