Source: Pacific Press / Getty The Baton Rouge police officer who shot and killed Alton Sterling has been removed  from the force. Baton Rouge Police Department officials have announced that Blane Salamoni has been fired following Sterling’s 2016 shooting death. Bodycam footage of the deadly incident shows Salamoni pulling a gun on Sterling as soon has he arrives to help another officer, Howie Lake II , detain Sterling. Sterling questioned why officers were trying to detain him, but Salamoni replied, “Don’t f*cking move or I’ll shoot your f*cking a*s. Put your f*cking hands on the car.” Lake is also shown using a taser on Sterling before Salamoni rushes him. Shots are then heard off-camera. When Salamoni got up, video shows him lying on the ground with a blood stain on his shirt. CNN.com reports that Salamoni and Lake were each subject to their own disciplinary hearings. While Lake answered every question that he was asked, Salamomi reportedly refused to answer any questions. Lake, the other officer in this case, will be suspended without pay for three days because he lost his temper. Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul announced the suspension on Friday, stating, “That is my decision. Stephon Clark Shot At Least 8 Times From Behind Or On The Side, Family To File Lawsuit

Justin Sullivan/Getty Images Stephon Clark’s Family Conducts Autopsy, Filing Lawsuit The family of Stephon Clark is seeking justice in the form of an independent autopsy and a lawsuit. As previously reported Clark was killed March 18 when two officers shot him 20 times in his own backyard. CBS News reports that his family’s lawyers told them they plan to file a federal lawsuit as soon as today over his death. The family has since held a press conference at Southside Christian Center and released the findings of an independent autopsy. The autopsy shows that he was shot eight times from behind or the side, according to a private autopsy commissioned by his family. At least eight of those bullets struck Stephon— with none of them entering from the front, according to an analysis by Dr. Bennet Omalu, a private medical examiner his family’s lawyer hired to conduct an independent autopsy reports The New York Times. The medical examiner reports that he was shot four times in the lower part of his back, twice in his neck, once under an armpit and in the leg.The autopsy is being used to prove that Stephon was not a threat to officers. The autopsy directly refutes the contention by police that Stephon was moving toward them when they gunned him down. The social media platform is still seeing backlash and losses from reports that research firm Cambridge Analytica improperly gained access to the personal information of more than 50 million Facebook users. The website has lost billions in shareholder value in the last couple of weeks and has since made several changes to its privacy policies–but for many people, that’s just not enough. “I know I am not alone when I say that I was very disturbed to hear about Cambridge Analytica’s misuse of millions of Facebook users’ information in order to undermine our democracy and infringe on our citizens’ privacy,” Ferrell wrote to his fans in a  Facebook post. The comedian announced that he’d leave the page live for 72 hours in order to let the post circulate, which means he will deactivate his account on the platform somewhere around 2 p.m. on Friday. He later elaborates in the post, “In this day and age, with misinformation running rampant, it’s important that we protect the truth, as well as those who work to bring it to light. I can no longer, in good conscience, use the services of a company that allowed the spread of propaganda and directly aimed it at those most vulnerable.” CEO  Mark Zuckerberg was seemingly not too worried about a significant amount of users leaving the platform, and said last week that he hadn’t seen a “meaningful number of people” deleting Facebook following the leak. That number seems to be going up though, as other figures beside Ferrell, like Elon Musk , make their Facebook exits very public. The tech entrepreneur said on Twitter that he’d be deleting the Facebook pages for Tesla and SpaceX, both of which have indeed disappeared since. I didn’t realize there was one. Tommie Lee Wanted By Atlanta Police Tommie Lee can’t stay off the cops’ radar to save her life. After already being taken in after beating down a sales clerk at an Atlanta jeweller , Tommie managed to secure her freedom after posting $3,000 in bail . But it looks like that freedom might be pretty short-lived. According to TMZ, Tommie decided she was too busy to make an appearance in court over 2016 charges for DUI and driving with no license last Wednesday. As such, there’s now a warrant for her arrest. To top it all off, prosecutors moved to revoke bond in her jewelry store smackdown case just a day before. SMH. At this rate, it looks like she might have to phone into this season’s reunion from jail… Getty
