CBS Sports reports that after fighting Ortiz, he yelled, “King Kong’ ain’t got nothing on me! A true champion always finds a way to come back and that’s what I did tonight. If you speak it and believe it, you will receive it, baby. The mind is very powerful.” Follow @TheRSMS Fans screamed during Round 7 as they saw Wilder outbox his opponent. Three rounds later Ortiz ended up on the floor and was picked up by the ref, he tried to continue to fight, but moments later was knocked to the ground again. Wilder ended up defeating Ortiz and the crowd full of fans at the Barclays Center were excited for him. Wilder’s promoter, Lou DiBella said, “The heavyweight champion is a man’s man; he has some huge cojones. He walked through the fire and he knocked the guy out. That’s what the f— it’s all about.” Ortiz believes he could of beat Wilder. The scorecard before the knockout showed Ortiz winning. Congratulations to Deontay Wilder! 90 Day Fiance couple Molly Hopkins and Luis Mendez are divorcing . Sometimes, reality television isn’t the best place to build your relationship. But sometimes, that’s just how things end. Now, Luis is lashing out, not only at TLC, but at Molly — claiming that she hoards 90 Day Fiance profits and has a wickedness of the heart. And … is he accusing her of domestic violence? Last year, it looked like Molly and Luis had made it . Because the 90 Day Fiance got married. 41-year-old Molly’s daughters weren’t exactly over the moon about the idea of 26-year-old Luis becoming their stepdad, but the marriage happened anyway. The couple had their ins and outs even after they tied the knot, splitting but then reconciling before the Tell All special. At the beginning January, however, they split for good. Also in January, Molly filed for divorce. Now, Luis is posting on social media, griping that Molly asked to have his cell phone back. “When someone is so miserable in the heart, they ask you for a cell phone back.” That sounds sort of standard to us — like changing the Netflix password after a breakup. But Luis has other gripes to air. “And that is not considering that she never share the profits of the reality show.” This is not the first time that Luis has complained about money. He thinks that it’s a sign that Molly is a bad person. “How materialistic and low-class can someone be?” Much more alarmingly, Luis also posted this vague yet ominous message to Facebook. “If you want to see all about domestic violence soon follow this page it’s gonna post there.” No one has seen any follow-up post. This is vague enough that he hasn’t actually made any official accusation yet. But … it sure looks to many people like Luis was teasing that he was about to accuse Molly of domestic violence. That wouldn’t be a 90 Day Fiance first, as fans saw Anfisa Arkhipchenko strikes Jorge Nava on camera. But even the possibility is worrisome. As we mentioned, Luis Mendez has complained about financial issues before. Last time, Luis was lashing out at TLC and claiming that he hadn’t been paid. “TLC is a piece of s–t.” Wow. Tell us how you really feel. “They only use the immigrant people for make million dollar.” Some would point out that that’s part of the premise of the show, basically. “They don’t pay to us in the first 90 days and they destroy our lives with bad fame.” It’s believed that perhaps the show was waiting to pay Luis until he had his work visa. That doesn’t sound like their fault. To hear Luis tell it, though, it was a conspiracy. “But I don’t received any money only the American people do because we are trash for them.” He then declared that he was considering suing them. Instagram commenters were quick to shoot down Luis’ complaints about money. “I am sure you signed a liability waiver releasing TLC from lawsuits…plus I thought your purpose for being on the show was to document the process with your love Molly…sounds like all you were interested in was a pay day.” Some people were quick to defend Molly in particular. “Geesh so he came over here agreeing to be on tv and did not bother to read his contract then screwed over his own wife in the process. Hopefully a judge and/or jury finds Nikolas Cruz guilty on every single charge, 17 premeditated and 17 attempted. It’s infuriating to see pics like this where it appears that Cruz’s public defender is emoting empathy for someone who just doesn’t deserve it According to Palm Beach Report , Cruz was texting a friend just minutes before he put his murderous plan in action: • Cruz texted the Sneads’ teenage son, who was in class at Douglas, around 2 p.m., about 20 minutes before Cruz started shooting. Cruz asked what class the son was in and who the teacher was. The son said the teacher was one of the coaches. Cruz texted the son to ask the coach if he remembered Cruz. The coach was not one of the people Cruz shot. • Minutes later, Cruz texted to say he was going to a movie. Lewis said he then “made some kind of comment that, ‘I’ve got something big to tell you.’” When the son pressed him, Cruz texted, “no big deal. Nothing bad.” • Lewis said the texting stopped at 2:18 p.m. The last text was a single word: “Yo.” The Snead teen texted back several times without a response. Then, the shooting started. F**k this guy. He can’t rot in Hell any faster. In an exclusive op-ed for NewsOne , the Women’s March co-chair addresses the criticism, her connection to the event and her commitment to building an “intersectional movement. Source: Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty I proudly serve as a leader for one of the largest women’s advocacy organizations in the world. For that reason, my recent presence at the Nation of Islam’s Saviour’s Day convocation troubled some of the very people who I have fought for and worked alongside for most of my life. I have heard the pain and concerns of my LGBTQAI siblings, my Jewish friends and Black women (including those who do and those who don’t check off either of those other boxes.) I affirm the validity of those feelings, and as I continue to grow and learn as both an activist and as a woman, I will continue to grapple with the complicated nature of working across ideological lines and the question of how to do so without causing harm to vulnerable people. I didn’t expect my presence at Saviour’s Day to lead anyone to question my beliefs, especially considering that I have been going to this event regularly for over 30 years. I first went with my parents when I was just a little girl, and would begin attending on my own after my son’s father was murdered nearly 17 years ago. In that most difficult period of my life, it was the women of the Nation of Islam who supported me and I have always held them close to my heart for that reason. I am the same woman who helped to build an intersectional movement that fights for the rights of all people and stands against hatred and discrimination of all forms. I am the same person today that I was before Saviour’s Day, which begs the question – why are my beliefs being questioned now? I was raised in activism and believe that as historically oppressed people, Blacks, Jews, Muslims and all people must stand together to fight racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. I believe that LGBTQAI people are not an abomination or a creation of man, but simply people, and that religion is not to be used as a tool to abuse, divide, harm, bully or intimidate. Where my people are is where I must also be. I go into difficult spaces. I attend meetings with police and legislators—the very folks so much of my protest has been directed towards. I’ve partnered and sat with countless groups, activists, religious leaders and institutions over the past 20 years. I’ve worked in prisons as well as with present and former gang members. It is impossible for me to agree with every statement or share every viewpoint of the many people who I have worked with or will work with in the future. As I do not wish to be held responsible for the words of others when my own history shows that I stand in opposition to them, I also do not think it is fair to question anyone who works with me, who supports my work and who is a member of this movement because of the ways that I may have fallen short here or in any other instance. My fellow Women’s March leaders believe that we can be the bridge to connect different groups in the name of our shared liberation. We don’t just step into difficult spaces, we create new ones. I am guided by the loving principles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. , though I have fallen short of them at times. And it is with the belief that “non-violence seeks to win friendship and understanding” and “non-violence seeks to defeat injustice, not people” that we organized a march on January 21, 2017, that 5 million people participated in worldwide; and we have been guided by those values the whole way through. It is my intention to walk the tradition of Dr . Dorothy Height , successor to Mary McLeod Bethune as President of the National Council of Negro Women. In 1995, she faced criticism for participating in the Million Man March, which was organized by the Nation of Islam. Financial support was withheld from her organization, and there were attempts to bully and intimidate her. Nevertheless, she stood strong and proudly addressed the massive crowd of Black people who gathered on the National Mall. Her first words? “I am here because you are here.” I also take cues from my mentor, Hazel N. Dukes , President of the New York State Conference of the NAACP, who has brought together Muslims, Blacks and Jewish people and clergy from all denominations. Her office and her home are open to gang members, teen mothers and formerly incarcerated people as well. Coalition work is not easy, and these women have operated from a place of authentic love for all people. My work requires an operational unity that is sometimes extremely painful and uncomfortable, even for me. But I push forward even when I am personally conflicted because our people are more important. – Tamika D.
