Middle Schooler Provides Classmates In Need With Clothes And School Supplies

A middle schooler from Louisiana is paying it forward by ensuring that his classmates have basic necessities to start the school year. To help students in need, 13-year-old Chase Neyland-Square created a closet at his school to provide them with free clothes and school supplies, CBS News reported. 13-year-old creates school closet to give clothes and supplies to classmates in need https://t.co/UCP3CBbjmD pic.twitter.com/pAre3ssKCa — CBS News (@CBSNews) August 30, 2019 Neyland-Square—an eighth-grader at Port Allen Middle School—came up with the concept for the project while participating in the school’s SPARK (Student Program for Arts, Recreation, and Knowledge) program. He and other students were tasked with developing ideas for social good initiatives that would benefit the school and the local community. Aware of the struggles faced by some of his peers, Neyland-Square decided to transform one of the closets at his school into PAM’s Pantry; a space that houses donated clothes, shoes, personal care and hygiene products and school supplies for students and their families. “I know that everybody doesn’t have things and I’m fortunate to have things that other people don’t have, and I look at it as sometimes, how would I feel in that situation?” he said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “I’m going to come back and continue working on PAM’s Pantry. I’m hoping one day I can turn it into a non-profit organization.” Initiatives like the one being led by Neyland-Square are needed. According to the National Center for Children in Poverty , 15 million children throughout the country live in extreme poverty and are unable to afford school supplies. Several youngsters are leading their own philanthropic efforts to help people in need. In celebration of their birthday, Alabama-based 12-year-olds Breanna and Brooke Bennett launched an initiative designed to provide care packages that include hygiene products for girls their age. In North Carolina, a 3-year-old entrepreneur donated the sales from her lemonade stand to help homeless mothers and children. City Of Atlanta Raises $50 Million To Create Homes For The Homeless

T he city of Atlanta has made a major stride in combating homelessness. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution , Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced that $50 million has been raised to build houses for over 500 families who are without shelter. Mayor @KeishaBottoms announced that Atlanta had reached its goal of raising $50 million to provide 550 homes for the city’s homeless population. https://t.co/qeBTn1YlE5 — AJC (@ajc) August 26, 2019 The HomeFirst Atlanta initiative—which was launched in 2017 when former Mayor Kasim Reed was in office—was created after Atlanta’s largest shelter shuttered. The shelter served over 500 individuals each night. In an effort to develop a sustainable solution for the homeless population, community leaders and political officials teamed up with the United Way Regional Commission on Homelessness and Invest Atlanta to develop a fund that would provide housing so that individuals could focus on rebuilding their lives. Half of the $50 million came from the Homeless Opportunity Bond sale led by Reed and the rest of the funds were from private donors. Bottoms believes that this collaborative effort will make lasting changes in the lives of individuals who need assistance. “HomeFirst will create 550 units of permanent supportive housing that will be part of larger developments that will contribute, in aggregate, more than 2,500 units of affordable housing,” she said in a statement, according to The Atlanta Voice . “We are building a compassionate community of trusted partners who approach homelessness in a strategic, transparent and accountable way. The results show that it is working.” Organizers of the initiative are aiming to make resources more accessible for those struggling with homelessness. “It is a miss-perception that many people have: that homelessness is represented entirely by the people they see on the streets,” Jack Hardin , Co-Chair of the Atlanta Regional Commission on Homelessness told the news outlet. “A far larger proportion of people experiencing homelessness have incomes and function at very high levels, but live on the margins of the economics of our society and any hardship can derail.” There have been several projects launched in Atlanta to combat the city’s homelessness issue. Earlier this year, Gwinnett officials awarded nearly $1 million to an organization that had plans to build two shelters in the county. Kelly Dodd and Dr. Brian Reagan: It’s Over!

A number of The Real Housewives of Orange County castmates seem to agree: Kelly Dodd is the one to beat this season. But Kelly has her own life outside of the show, and has just made one major change. She and Dr. Brian Reagan have broken up, though it's not entirely clear who made that call. Kelly Dodd was clearly enjoying herself on a girls' night out when she took to her Instagram Stories to share some news. “The universe is telling me I broke up with Dr. Brian, woo!” Kelly announced. Disclaimer: despite her demeanor and the way that she repeated things, we cannot speak to whether or not she had been drinking. “And,” Kelly continued. “They all know why.” “This is why I’m breaking up with Brian for good,” she said without further explanation. “This is the last time,” Kelly continued, speaking on her Instagram Story. That sort of declaration could refer to anything from being late to dinner to domestic abuse and all that falls in between. “No going back to this a–hole,” she affirmed. “At all.” “Here’s our song. I broke up with Dr. Brian,” Kelly announced as Queen's “Another One Bites The Dust played. Triumphantly, she declared: “Another one bites the dust!” Late on Thursday, Kelly took to a regular Instagram post a more … calm and thoughtful acknowledgement of the split. “Dr. Brian Reagan posted that we broke up,” Kelly's caption begins. That's a very different tone than we were hearing in her Stories, and almost seems to imply that it was his call and not hers. “I’m deeply saddened,” she continues. “And I only wish him the best !!” “Good Luck,” Kelly expressed. “You are a talented surgeon!! I loved you deeply.” Just a little over a week ago, Kelly was singing a very different tune as she spoke to Us Weekly . “We have fun together,” Kelly shared. “And,” she continued. “We love our families together and we blend their families.” Kelly added that she felt “like we have a modern family.” “My daughter loves him,” she added. “And I love his son.” “There’s just so many benefits,” Kelly referred to in terms of dating Dr. Brian. One such benefit, she pointed out, was that “he lives in La Jolla.” “So it’s fun to go to La Jolla,” Kelly assessed. “Just a change of atmosphere.” However, Kelly apparently realized that Dr. Brian was benefitting from their relationship, too. “He wanted his business on the show. I was just a means to get there,” Kelly alleged in comments. “And I only realized that after I caught him cheating on me,” she lamented. “And realized he's been seeing someone else all along.” Dr. Brian has, for the record, totally denied using her for fame and the allegation of cheating. He seems to want to move on — and he's not alone in that. It is now reported that Kelly is dating journalist Rick Leventhal. In case that sounds rushed, note that Kelly has since clarified that she and Dr. Brian actually broke up on August 3 after 9 months of on-again, off-again. She and Rick apparently met in the Hamptons, and she already feels more “respected” by him than she did by Dr. Brian. Get it, girl.

Hailey Baldwin Bieber Interview Mag of the Day

Hailey Baldwin Is zero ducking interesting in her existence on social media. Just a bottom feeding kardashian leach who was able to get divirginized by Bieber cuz she looked like Bieber and he likes the idea of fucking himself like he was Usher. Full of herpes. The fact that she can leverage being married to him, like a good Christian, despite being a garbage Christian, totally horrible for society and totally a contradiction of the bible or Ten Commandments as she spent years trying to be a false idol, just that vain. But clearly people believe her lies and hype and they interview her… What the fuck does Hailey Baldwin have to offer the world with her insight…nothing…so why is the media wasting resources on her? Cuz the media is low level trash that lives for low level trash to get clicks to sell to advertisers…which I guess I do too, I am a bootleg version of them, the hailey Baldwin of media…only I don’t suck her dick…I see her and I know she’s garbage. Source: TNYF/WENN.com / WENN According to  The Washington Post , a group of protesters held an action outside a Rhode Island prison that works with Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) to house immigration detainees.
