The Carmichael Show devastated fans after it was cancelled on NBC, but it’s time to stop fretting. Comedian extraordinaires Jerrod Carmichael and Lil Rel Howery are reuniting for a brand NEW comedy show. Jerrod Carmichael will serve as an executive producer on a Fox comedy with a put pilot order co-created by his former “Carmichael Show” co-star Lil Rel Howery, according to Variety . BOSSIP got the inside scoop from Howery just a few weeks ago, he mentioned he would be working on The Lil Rel Show. However, Variety doesn’t mention if THIS is THAT, but we can put two and two together… The currently untitled multi-camera series would star Howery as a fictionalized version of himself, a prideful, self-made success who lives by the code to “always believe in yourself and great things will come.” But he finds that attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the West Side of Chicago on a quest for love, respect, and a new barber. Congratulations! The show sounds hilarious already. Will you be watching??

Bush Cares About Black People Now, Speaks Out About Bigotry Under Trump If you haven’t heard about Former President George W. Bush handed Trump his a** today without once mentioning his name during a speech about the state of American democracy delivered at the George W. Our politics seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories,” he said. “We’ve seen nationalism distorted into nativism.” Bush warned that the U.S. faces the return of isolationist ideology even though he said that American security is “directly threatened by the chaos and despair” of other nations around the world. “Bullying and prejudice in our public life sets a national tone,” said Bush, who added that it “provides permission for cruelty and bigotry.” Folks on the right are Big MAD I stood up for George W. Bush in the face of horrendous attacks and never questioned his motives even when he did things I didn't necessarily agree with. He paid me back today by calling me a racist. George, you are Fredo to me. I don't want to know you, or what you do.

Hey, remember a hot minute ago when Lindsay Lohan rushed to Harvey Weinstein’s defense , shamed his wife for leaving him, and suggested that because Weinstein had never assaulted her , these multiple other actresses must be lying? That was what you call a “bad take.” Well, Lindsay isn’t done commenting … unfortunately. We remember Lindsay Lohan’s history with domestic violence all too well. As with so many aspects of Lindsay’s life, she deserved so much better. There was an alarming photo of Lindsay’s injured leg shared early in 2016 along with a somewhat cryptic message. At the time, the world didn’t even know which person she was vaguely alleging of having done it. It wasn’t until months later that Lindsay Lohan finally accused Egor Tarabasov of domestic violence . Alarmingly, she said at the time that no woman should stay with a man who hits her if he refuses to apologize , as if abusers don’t apologize all of the time and as if an apology for something so vile could change anything. But fans from all around the world read the harrowing tale. Lindsay, who had already been so much — from her awful parents to her child stardom — should never have had to endure domestic abuse. No one should. Fans only grew more worried when Lindsay Lohan sported a tremendous bruise on her arm around that same time. And all of this was after Lindsay cried out for help after Egor allegedly tried to strangle her . She revealed that she ultimately realized that you can’t stay in a relationship just for love, and she’s absolutely right. That is why fans were so, so disappointed in Lindsay Lohan’s response to the Harvey Weinstein scandal . At first, you remember, he was accused of being a serial harasser. That was before women came forward and accused him of being a serial rapist, as well. But sexual harassment is a big deal all on its own. And it impacts millions of women every single day. Many fans were crushed by Lindsay’s support of Weinstein. (When his own wife leaves him, maybe it’s well past time to give him the benefit of the doubt) Just because Weinstein had never invited Lindsay, personally, to come and shower in front of him isn’t exactly proof that he never did that — or worse — to other women. Apparently, Lindsay Lohan saw the reactions as accusations that she isn’t pro-woman. And, yeah, that was at least part of the response. She posted and deleted a defense of herself … and included a very accusatory tone. Her initial caption read: “Whatever anyone says, I am FOR #womenempowerment as if most women in America cared how I was abused by my exfiancé… when not one person stood up for me while he was abusing me…” She seems to be ignoring countless people who posted concern for her and condemnation of her (now former!) fiance. (I know that I certainly wrote about it at the time) “You could only imagine what it feels like to come out as a #strongwoman BUT, acknowledge this, we all make our own choices and wake up in our own beds in the morning.” That line does not make much sense. At all. “I prefer to go to my home and wake up alone. #BESTRONG let us not blame anyone as #karma will always takes its toll. #womensrights” Note that her first hashtag reads “be strong,” not “best rong.” So … Lindsay spiraled into incoherence in a way that we normally expect from people who are still mastering English and are not native speakers. But you know what? Anyone can find that their thoughts didn’t quite translate to paper. In any case, Lindsay Lohan deleted that original caption and replaced it. The Mean Girls star and tabloid legend has changed her tune … up to a point. At the very least, she’s much more succinct and no longer seems to be trying to shame the women of America. “Whatever anyone says, I am FOR #womenempowerment #strongwoman #BESTRONG #karma will always takes its toll. #womensrights” We guess that, to Lindsay, she saw a fan response but not a massive movement that she now sees in the wake of the Weinstein scandal. Maybe that rubbed her the wrong way. Maybe she was just being defensive and trying to deflect. Honestly, we don’t even know if poorly Lindsay herself could tell us why she says some of the things that she does. Let’s cut her some slack. Remember that, in her own way, Lindsay is sharing a #MeToo story. As we all know, Blac Chyna is suing the entire Kardashian family , alleging that they tanked her budding reality career. We’re sure that the Kardashian clan is preparing its significant financial might to meet Blac Chyna on the field of battle — the courtroom. But, even though Blac Chyna did well against Rob in their custody fight , it doesn’t sound like the Kardashians are taking this seriously. Towards the end, the toxic relationship between Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian turned violent , according to some serious and scary allegations. Despite the alleged violence, despite the revenge porn attack to which most of the Western world was a witness whether they wanted to see it or not, Rob and Chyna will always be linked. Because one good thing came of their relationship: Dream Kardashian, who is cute beyond words . This new battle that Blac Chyna is waging against Rob and every adult member of his family isn’t about domestic violence allegations or custody or child support or revenge porn, however. It’s about the cancellation of their television show. Blac Chyna alleges that the Kardashians were responsible for forcing E! to quash the series, even though — according to her claims — the second season was all prepared to go. She says that even though Rob and Chyna were no longer a couple, Rob & Chyna would have still had compelling storylines as the two learned to co-parent. She’s believed to be seeking at least 7 figures. Not only is Chyna hoping to make up for lost paychecks that she would have made had the series continued, but she’s apparently hoping to be compensated for other lost revenue. Because there are endorsements, paid appearances, and other financial opportunities that come from having a reality series. And no one would know that better than the Kardashians. Still, while Chyna’s team makes some interesting points, we don’t know how well that will work in court. Apparently the Kardashians aren’t convinced that this particular lawsuit poses much of a threat. Us Weekly reports that the Kardashians aren’t worried about Blac Chyna . Not at the moment. According to their source, “The family is not concerned about Chyna or this lawsuit.” In fact, they’re actively trying to avoid it, and not just in the normal way that one tries to dodge a lawsuit. “The family is trying to stay out of this because they are stuck with Chyna because she’s Dream’s mom” Good luck with “staying out of this,” since they’re being sued. But it makes sense that they wouldn’t want to get into a no-holds-barred legal struggle with Blac Chyna. “She’ll be involved with them for life.” They do have one reported worry, however. “The family is only concerned for Dream and they are disappointed that this could affect Dream’s childhood. Dream shouldn’t be used as a pawn for money.” That’s fair. Dream is a true innocent and should not be caught in the middle. Honestly … maybe this is a sign that we think of Kris Jenner as a lovable supervillain a little more than is justified by reality, but … Do you think that there’s a point at which Kris Jenner might just decide to excise Blac Chyna from their lives? Now, we’re not saying that she’d have Blac Chyna assassinated or, even less likely, that she’d disown Dream. (Her adorable granddaughter? Never!) But if you throw enough money at a top-notch legal team, they can accomplish just about anything. Kris Jenner would know that better than most — since her ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, was part of O.J.’s “dream team” during that infamous trial. As we said, though, this might be more about leverage than anything else. If so, maybe the Kardashians just need to figure out what it is that Blac Chyna really wants.
