Source: TNYF/WENN.com / WENN According to The Washington Post , a group of protesters held an action outside a Rhode Island prison that works with Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) to house immigration detainees. Many of the protestors were sitting on the pavement, blocking staff from the Wyatt Detention Facility parking lot. After shouts to close immigration detention camps , a black pickup truck swerved towards protesters sitting on the ground. The protesters yelled at the driver who beeped their horn, then he hit the gas, endangering the lives of protestors. A viral video shows the protesters screaming and leaping out the way, while some hopped on the truck as if to weigh it down. Several people were struck by the car and some were treated at a hospital, although thankfully they didn’t face life-threatening injuries. Todd Chrisley may be innocent of forging bank documents, hiding millions of dollars from the government and not paying his federal taxes for multiple years. We’ll let the authorities determine the authenticity of these allegations after the reality star and his wife were indicted this week on 12 counts of financial fraud. But one thing is certain: Todd Chrisley is a world class sleazeball. The USA Network personality pleaded not guilty to all the aforementioned charges brought against him in court yesterday, having alleged previously that a disgruntled former employee actually forged these documents and set both Todd and his wife up. Really, this is the guy’s defense. “We have nothing to hide and have done nothing to be ashamed of,” Todd wrote on Instagram this past Monday, blaming the entire ordeal on “a trusted employee of ours [who] had been stealing from us big time. But we’re actually not here to discuss Todd’s story or whether he really did commit these crimes. Not right now at least. Instead, for the sake of this article, we’re focusing instead on the relationship between Todd and his daughter, Lindsie. The latter is very much estranged from her parents, having quit Chrisley Knows Best in 2017 and having moved on to host a podcast with Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry. Due to her fractured non-connection to dad, some have actually theorized that Lindsie played some role in her parents’ indictment. Did she turn over any evidence to the police or alert them to her father’s activities in any way? No, Lindsie’s lawyer said in a statement yesterday. “The circumstances Todd and Julie find themselves in, is quite unfortunate. It was reported that Lindsie was the source of the information that led to her father’s arrest,” this statement reads. And it continues: “That is untrue, she was not the source of this information. “Lindsie has been a constant target of lies, harassment and threats from her family and as a result, has been distancing herself from the Chrisley family since 2017.” Whoa there, right? WHAT?!? It turns out that Todd’s estranged daughter filed a police report in June that alleged her brother, Chase, has purchased a sex tape that featured his sister. And that Chase and Todd were threatening to release it unless she agreed to lie about some sort of “incident.” It’s widely assumed that this “incident” is a reference to Todd and Julie’s alleged tax evasion. We report: Whoa there, right? WHAT?!? Perhaps even more incredibly, Todd has responded to this allegation — by hurling Lindsie so far under the bus that we may never see her ever again. We’re gonna bold the entire statement Todd released to E! News because each and every word is simply that stunning. Here it is: It’s heartbreaking and shameful that these kinds of accusations have to be aired in public. We have tried to keep Lindsie’s extramarital relationships with [Bachelor Nation stars] Robby Hayes and Josh Murray private for her sake since August of 2016. Sadly, for reasons we can only guess at, she ran to the sheriff’s office to accuse her brother of buying a sex tape of her and Robby, which was a complete lie, and now she’s telling more lies about me. Todd added: “Although our hearts are broken, Lindsie is our daughter and we will always love her.” Yes, they willl love her so much that they will expose her alleged affairs with other reality stars, while also claiming to millions of people that Lindsie made a sex tape with one of these men. Lindsie Chrisley has not yet remarked on her father spreading these rumors in such a fashion, but Murray responded to E! with a pretty fantastic clapback: “Lindsie and I have been friends for years,” he said, adding: “I know Todd and his family are going through some tough times right now and I pray everything works out in their favor. “They should probably focus on how not to be imprisoned for 30 years rather than spreading gossip to try and hurt their daughter. “I truly believe they are good people and I wish them the best in however they choose to go about their actions.” We disagree on that one point there, Josh: Todd Chrisley is not a good person. Earlier this summer, a deeply disturbing report came out about Gina Kirschenheiter’s husband allegedly attacking her and threatening her life. Since then, they have been to court. A judge has extended Gina’s restraining order and agreed to the end of their marriage, but they’ll still technically be married for months . For a woman who spent so much time last year boasting to Shannon Beador about her easy divorce, Gina’s split has taken a nasty turn. In June, she alleged that Matt had shown up at her house late at night and then broken in and attacked her. She accuses her ex of having pushed her down, of having struck her. Gina at one point fled the house to seek help from a neighbor, but says that Matt dragged her back to the house. Someone dialed 911 and police arrived, but not before Matt had allegedly threatened Gina’s life repeatedly. Absolutely bone-chilling stuff. Now, RadarOnline reports that a judge has granted Gina and Matt’s “dissolution of marriage.” It seems that, despite the June nightmare, the two were able to come together to address some major aspects of their divorce. However, there is a lot of paperwork remaining, pertaining to “matters of joint property and other issues.” For that reason, Gina and Matt will remain “married,” technically speaking, until December 31, 2019. The court hopes that they will be able to complete that paperwork before then. On January 1, Gina will be single and presumably ready to mingle. It seems clear that both Gina and Matt were ready and eager for the marriage to end. The issues that they resolved included division of properties, spousal support, child support, and other financial matters. Things at the Wednesday, August 14 hearing became heated as Matt was asked some very direct questions. Matt agreed that the reasons for their divorce were “irreconcilable differences.” He also conceded that he would not get back with Gina if suddenly presented with the opportunity to do so. The most important part of many divorces is determining custody of any children. It seems that Gina and Matt were able to reach an accord on that topic. But knowing that they agreed in court is not the same thing as knowing the details of their custody arrangement. Speaking of Gina’s children, don’t expect to see her changing her name any time soon. As she explained to the judge, she wants to keep the same last name as her children. A lot of divorced moms make that same difficult choice. Then comes the matter of Gina’s physical safety. Fortunately, it seems to be something that the court is taking seriously. Gina already had a temporary restraining order in place. The court has extended that protective order through next year, to January 15 of 2020. That is the date on which both parties will return to court, fully divorced, to discuss the domestic violence charges against Matt. Eyewitnesses say that Gina and Matt refused to look at each other while in court. However, as she left the court, Gina is said to have looked emotionally devastated. In contrast, Matt apparently looked relieved. We can only speculate as to what they were thinking and feeling at that time, of course. Todd Chrisley has already proclaimed his innocence on social media. And now the embattled reality star has done so in a court of law. Earlier this week, the very rich USA Network personality was indicted , along with wife Julie, on multiple charges; foremost among them: Wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States. Todd and Julie are accused of forging bank documents and not paying federal taxes over a period of multiple years. If convicted across the board, they could face 30 years in prison . On Wednesday afternoon, the reality stars pleaded not guilty to these tax evasion and other federal charges — and their lawyers claimed the counts stemmed from false allegations made by a former employee. This is the same allegation Todd wrote about in his lengthy self-defense on Monday. “I’ve never talked about this publicly before, but there’s been a cloud hanging over Julie and me and our entire family for the past seven years,” Todd said via Instagram this week, adding: “It all started back in 2012, when we discovered that a trusted employee of ours had been stealing from us big time… “I’m telling you all this because we have nothing to hide and have done nothing to be ashamed of. Not only do we know we’ve done nothing to be ashamed of. “Not only do we know we’ve done nothing wrong, but we’ve got a ton of hard evidence and a bunch of corroborating witnesses that prove it.” During the aforementioned hearing yesterday, a judge agreed to release the famous couple on a $100,000 unsecured bond , which means they don’t have to pay anything unless they fail to show up for court dates. Todd and Julie were also required to surrender their passports and are not allowed to travel outside of parts of Georgia and Tennessee without alerting their probation officers of their plans. According to the Associated Press, the bond conditions mentioned above were based on requests from the couple’s attorneys for travel permission so the family members can continue filming the reality television show . This would seem to contradict reports that USA will not be bringing Chrisley Knows Best back for another season. It has already aired for seven seasons and even spawned a spinoff for two of Todd and Julie’s kids. One of those kids, Savannah, is standing strongly behind her parents. ” ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged … the battle is not yours, but God’s. 2 Chronicles 20:15,’” the 22-year old wrote yesterday on her Instagram Story. Elsewhere, however, a U.S. Attorney has said the following: Todd and Julie Chrisley are charged not only with defrauding a number of banks by fraudulently obtaining millions of dollars in loans, but also with allegedly cheating taxpayers by actively evading paying federal taxes on the money they earned. Celebrities face the same justice that everyone does. These are serious federal charges and they will have their day in court. On the other legal side, the Chrisley lawyers ( Bruce H. Morris and Stephen Friedberg) have defended their well-known clients with a long statement of their own. This is what it says: For quite some time now, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia has been conducting an investigation of Todd and Julie Chrisley based for the most part on the demonstrably false allegations of a former officer of a company they owned jointly. We saw the results of this effort yesterday – an indictment against Todd, Julie, and their accountant that relies largely if not entirely on emails that we know Todd never sent but rather were fabricated by this former employee. This individual, identified in the indictment only as ‘Co-conspirator A,’ first approached federal authorities in 2012, claiming he had evidence that Todd had been trying to avoid paying his taxes. What the authorities didn’t know, at least initially, was that he had been fired by the Chrisleys after they discovered he had been falsifying documents, forging their signatures, bugging their home, and intimidating other employees into covering up what amounted to a multi-million-dollar embezzlement scheme. These and many other criminal misdeeds were detailed in a federal RICO suit that the Chrisleys filed against him in 2012. Ironically, it was this lawsuit that sent him to the U.S. Attorney’s office. He wasn’t looking for justice but for revenge and his “evidence” against Todd consisted mainly of falsified document Now, seven years later, the government has granted this individual immunity from prosecution for his own crimes and used his false allegations to bring an indictment against the Chrisley. We have no doubt that if this case ever reaches a courtroom, Todd and Julie will be completely exonerated. But in the meantime, their reputation will be sullied by a shamefully unjustified prosecution based on testimony of a dishonest source who has somehow managed to successfully mislead prosecutors. Avenue has 222 stores located in 33 states within the U.S. The store was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in New Rochelle, New Jersey. In 2007, the company was purchased by Redcats USA (who is part of the Kering company). In 2012, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and was purchased by Versa Capital Management. Now, the company is liquidating all of their locations. What does this mean for you and their plus-size customers? It’s time to shop! Todd Chrisley and his wife are ready to face the legal music. But will it result in them being entirely played off the celebrity stage? That’s the oddly-phrased question, folks. As previously detailed, Todd and Julie Chrisley were indicted yesterday on 12 counts of tax evasion and financial fraud, foremost among them: Wire fraud… conspiracy to commit bank fraud … and conspiracy to defraud the United States. Yikes , huh? The couple has been at the forefront of Chrisley Knows Best for seven seasons on USA Network. The series chronicles the rich and spoiled lives of Todd, Julie and their three children, all of whom are from Atlanta but now reside in Nashville. According to Radar Online, executives have chosen NOT to renew the contracts of these family members in the wake of this arrest, effectively canceling the series. But Todd and Julie obviously have far more important concerns at the moment. The reality stars have turned themselves into authorities, CNN confirms, and are currently in custody in Georgia. The couple surrendered early Wednesday morning, a spokesman for the attorney’s office tells CNN and TMZ, and are scheduled to attend a bond hearing later this afternoon. As for other pertinent details from this troubling case? The Chrisleys were hit with the multi-count indictment on Tuesday, alleging years of tax evasion, bank fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy between 2007 and 2012. The federal goverment claims the stars ran a scheme in which they swindled banks out of millions of dollars in loans by providing phony information, while also effing over the public in genderal by dodging federal taxes on the money they earned. Their accountant was indicted as well. If convicted on all counts, Todd and Julie could face 30 years in prison. “Todd and Julie Chrisley are charged not only with defrauding a number of banks by fraudulently obtaining millions of dollars in loans, but also with allegedly cheating taxpayers by actively evading paying federal taxes on the money they earned,” said U.S. Attorney Byung J. Pak, adding: “Celebrities face the same justice that everyone does. These are serious federal charges and they will have their day in court.” But Todd, who has supposedly sold his mansion out of desperation , sounds confident a convinction will never take place. Before the indictment was issued on Tuesday, he denied the allegations in a lenghty post on Instagram, implying the charges are based on evidence presented to investigators by a disgruntled former employee. Wrote Chrisley in his open letter: “I’ve never talked about this publicly before, but there’s been a cloud hanging over Julie and me and our entire family for the past seven years.
