Missing ‘Growing Pains’ actor’s parents left Vancouver studio for unknown reasons. By Eric Ditzian Andrew Koenig Photo: IMDB Only minutes before the parents of Andrew Koenig , the former “Growing Pains” star who’s been missing since February 14, were set to be interviewed on “Larry King Live” Wednesday night, the couple unexpectedly walked out on the show. Toward the end of the program, King promoted his upcoming interview with “Star Trek” alum Walter Koenig and wife Judy Levin-Koenig, showing a live shot via satellite of the couple in Vancouver, where their son was last seen. When the host returned from a commercial break, though, the Koenigs had already left. “I’m told that they left the studio, so we’ll take a quick break and find out why,” King said, tossing to another commercial. After the break, King said, “For some reason unbeknownst to anyone Walter Koenig, the father of the missing Andrew Koenig, and Judy Levin-Koenig, the mother of the missing Andrew Koenig, left the studio in Vancouver. We checked them out, they were prepared to go on. I said ‘hello,’ they both said ‘hello.’ We said we’d be on in two minutes, they said ‘fine,’ and they got up and left for reasons unknown.” The abrupt departure caused viewers to speculate that the Koenigs had received distressing news in the moments before their interview. An inside source at “King” told RadarOnline.com that they have no information about why the Koenigs left. “What I know is exactly what you saw and heard on our show,” the source said. Best known for his “Growing Pains” role as Richard “Boner” Stabone (star Kirk Cameron’s best friend), Koenig was last seen in Vancouver on February 14 and was expected to return home to California on February 16. According to statements from his family and from Vancouver police, the actor has been suffering from depression.
