Carrie Fisher Has Heart Attack Aboard Flight Headed Back To Los Angeles TMZ is reporting that Star Wars’ beloved Carrie Fisher aka “Princess Leia” suffered a major heart attack while aboard United flight. Our sources say Carrie was on a United flight from London to LAX when she went into cardiac arrest. People on board were administering CPR. United Airlines says its crew reported Carrie as “unresponsive” when they landed. We’re told the emergency occurred 15 minutes before the plane landed in L.A. A flight attendant asked if there were any medical personnel on board and an EMT who was sitting in the back of the plane came up to first class and administered life-saving measures. Witnesses at LAX tell us Carrie’s eyes were closed and she appeared unconscious as EMTs rushed her through the terminal. She had an oxygen mask on her face. Carrie was on a flight from London to Los Angeles earlier today when she suffered a massive heart attack. The heart attack happened just 15 minutes before the plane landed, and luckily a doctor, nurses, and an EMT were on board to administer CPR until she could be taken to a nearby hospital. According to TMZ, the United Airlines flight she was on reported her condition upon landing as “unresponsive.” After landing, paramedics reportedly had to tend to her for around 15 minutes before they could even get a pulse. Actress Anna Akana tweeted that she was sitting near Carrie on the flight, and she also included some seriously concerning details. “Don’t know how else to process this,” she wrote, “but Carrie Fisher stopped breathing on the flight home. Hope she’s gonna be OK.” “So many thanks to the United flight crew who jumped into action, and the awesome doctor and nurse passengers who helped.” She added “Feel weird even tweeting about it but I JUST finished her book and was fangirling out over seeing her dog Gary in person. Gah.” A comedian named Brad Gage was with Anna, and he tweeted “I’m in complete shock.” “@AnnaAkana and I sat in front of Carrie Fisher on our flight from London and she was just taken off the plane by EMTs.” “I don’t know what happened,” he wrote. “Not really sure what to do right now but I hope she is ok. I hope she is ok.” Another witness says “It was scary. There was a team of about six emergency workers pushing her out in a stretcher.” “She had an oxygen mask on and they were yelling at people to get out of the way as they pushed her through.” Other witnesses stated that as EMTs rushed Carrie through the terminal at LAX, her eyes were shut and she seemed to be unconscious. Right now, she’s in the hospital, reportedly in critical condition and on a ventilator. Carrie is only 60 years old. Best wishes that she can pull through this.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Metz indicated that she signed a contract stipulating that she and Kate would be taking the same weight loss journey: “It’s definitely a conversation that we’ve had, and it’s in my contract,” she said, adding that both she and her character would be shedding pounds “in a healthy manner.” Not surprisingly, the statement has met with a fair amount of controversy, as many expressed shock that NBC would require than an actress lose weight before she could sign on to accept a role. Now, Metz is clarifying the matter and insisting that she merely misspoke when she referenced her contract: “It wasn’t mandated in the contract, and I probably — if I ever said the word contract, I didn’t mean it in that way,” she said while speaking to People at an event in LA on Friday, “I was pitched that the trajectory of Kate is that she’s going to lose weight. That is who and what’s going on.” Metz says there is no requirement that she lose weight or get down to a certain size, but adds that she plans to use her character’s arc as an added incentive for her own weight loss goals: “Why not have a motivation beyond me to get to a healthy weight?” she said. “Every actor does that. As you’ve likely heard, Kanye West was hospitalized last week after suffering an emotional breakdown during a session with his personal trainer. There were reports that West would be released earlier this week, but now we’re learning that the rapper will remain at the UCLA Medical Center for the foreseeable future. There are conflicting reports about the nature and severity of West’s condition, but accounts concur that West has been clashing with medical staff and complicating his own course of treatment. As for what triggered Kanye’s breakdown , there are varying reports on that score, as well. Some say it began with the death of his mother, Donda West, back in 2007. Others say Kanye was more upset than he let on in the weeks after his wife, Kim Kardashian, was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, and the pressure of touring after such a traumatic event eventually got to him. Now, a new report from Us Weekly is offering a third explanation, claiming that the Wests were on the brink of divorce in the weeks before Kanye’s breakdown. An insider tells the magazine that after Kim’s robbery, the couple was forced to spend large amounts of time apart for the first time in their marriage. Kim thought it best that she lie low at home while Kanye was on tour, and the distance between them resulted in an emotional rift. “The trauma of the incident made her more hesitant to do things,” explains the source. “Of course it strained their relationship, because she hadn’t seen him.” The insider adds that the new circumstances seemed to take a greater toll on Kanye than on Kim: “He would be up all night ranting about things. They were fighting because he was impossible to live with,” says the source. “The mere thought of his wife being taken from him was too much — it was like his mother’s death. Seeing Kim close to death did a major number on him. It sent him into a tailspin.” The insider adds that the robbery resulted in a shift in Kim and Kanye’s relationship which created problems: “She felt like now she needed him to be stable and her rock instead of the other way around,” says the source. “Kanye’s so used to getting Kim’s constant support, but it’s always about Kanye. “Kanye’s behavior took a huge toll on their marriage. But Kim feels relieved he is getting the help he needs. She thinks this is what it will take to save him — and help their marriage.” Rumors about Kim and Kanye parting ways have been circulating for years, but this seems to be the roughest patch they’ve endured so far. The singer bid farewell to Instagram this summer after getting into a fight with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez… which was based on Bieber's request that followers give his then -girlfriend, Sofia Richie, an online break. His request that they stop harassing her was met with mockery and derision, which is what prompted Bieber to simply leave the social media service until things calmed down. But we have bad news for all the Beliebers out there: It doesn't sound as if Justin will be returning any time soon. Performing in London last night, he stopped at one point to ask audience members if he ought to get his “Instagram back?” They cheered in approval. But this was merely a taunt and a tease by Bieber, who proceeded to slam the website as follows: “Nah, I don't want to get my Instagram back… Instagram is for the Devil… I think Hell is Instagram. I'm 90 percent sure. We get sent to Hell, we get like locked in the Instagram server.” Considering this marked the final stop on the European leg of his tour, Bieber told the crowd that he wasn't sure what he was gonna do when he went home, teasing that he might just take some selfies and not upload them to Instagram. It was such a kind gesture.” Yes, you might not know this, but the royals don’t have a reputation for being the most sentimental, approachable lot. But Kate by all accounts, Kate seemed genuinely moved as she embraced the Knaptons and encouraged them to continue sharing their stories. “It was a very difficult time but my diagnosis helped me to cope with what I was experiencing,” Ethan said. “I decided that I wanted to speak out about it.There is no point in sitting back. I’d rather stand up and make a difference.” Sources say Kate even spoke a bit about her own family, informing those in attendance that Prince George is into dinosaurs these days, with the T-rex being his favorite.
