Directed by Paul Hunter, J.Lo’s just-dropped visual shows a chaotic frenzy-turned-chase, wherein the pop star attracts the attention of hoards of men as she strolls down a city street. Lopez begins the five-minute clip by chatting it up with her apartment mail attendant Lisa, confessing that her Army lover has not returned back to her. Lisa offers the singer a cookie that she claims will make “your love come back.” Unfortunately, Jenny from the Block takes a chunk out of the cookie instead of a “small bite,” marking the beginning of the captivating spell she unwittingly casts on every man she passes by. The magic takes 24 hours to take effect as Lopez embarks on a walk the following day and realizes her sudden irresistible allure. Lopez’s charm isn’t restricted to any particular type of “papi” as she draws notice from a corporate businessman, a gardener and even a high-flying motorcyclist. Upon entering her car, her admirers become more and more aggressive and chase her down the street. Just like many of her clips, “Papi” offers some comical choreography when the entertainer realizes that her league of men move in synch with her, offering her a way to escape. Cue the video’s dance break. But Lopez’s tactic doesn’t last for long as the men grab hold of her until her uniform-clad lover walks off a bus and reunites with the pop star. “The craziest thing happened,” Lopez says in an attempt to explain the fiasco to her lover. Hunter and Lopez have previously worked together on a number of videos, including “If You Had My Love,” “Feelin’ So Good” and “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” “Papi” was produced by hit-maker RedOne and serves as the third single off J.Lo’s comeback album Love? In the clip for her previous single, “I’m Into You,” the pop singer hinted about the release of the club-ready track with another mid-video dance break. Earlier this month, Lopez explained the inspiration behind the song when she called into “On-Air With Ryan Seacrest.” “I was working in the studio with RedOne and his guys, and at the time, I was always kind of like, I always use the word ‘papi,’ ” she recalled. “And they were like, ‘We’re going to write a song called ‘Papi,’ and we just wrote the song about loving somebody and just celebrating that.” Lopez is expected to make her debut performance of the dance track at the iHeartRadio Festival, which will also feature sets from Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Jay-Z and many others, later this month. The Latin singer sat down with ABC’s “Nightline” for an interview that will air Thursday night (September 1), in which he said that he was not surprised when Lopez, his wife of seven years , filed for divorce on July 15. “I’ll tell you that it wasn’t something sensationalistic happening,” Anthony said of their split . “It was a realization on both our parts. So, you know, it wasn’t shocking. These things happen. It was a decision that we made jointly.” Anthony said the bottom line was that the marriage just no longer “worked,” but despite the split, he will always have feelings for Lopez, with whom he has 3-year-old twins Max and Emme. “I’ll always love Jennifer,” he said. “She knows that … my kids know that. Jennifer’s a wonderful, wonderful woman, a wonderful mother, a wonderful friend.” He also denied rumors that he was unfaithful during his marriage, but did not address recent reports about an alleged close relationship with married “HawthoRNe” star Jada Pinkett Smith that set off whispers about alleged trouble in her marriage to Will Smith . Since the split, he said he’s been taking long motorcycle rides and spending time at his Long Island home, which he refers to as “Casa Marc Anthony.” “It is sad, because you think about the impact of all those people who believe in you,” he said. “You think about your family and the possibilities, but we realized very early on that even though we’re not together, our story’s not over. I am positive — determined — to move forward with my life, bring up my babies and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong.” Lopez appears on the cover of the magazine’s September issue (on newsstands nationwide August 9), and she spoke openly not only about her marriage to Anthony, but her previous high-profile relationships with P. Diddy and Ben Affleck. Calling herself “a hopeless romantic … [a] passionate person when it comes to love,” she added that, until recently, she rarely loved herself, a revelation she says lead to her decision to split with Anthony. “It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves,” Lopez said. “To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself — if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.” But Lopez adds that she remains close to Anthony, whom she married in June 2004 and with whom she has two children , telling the magazine, “I will always respect Marc as a singer and a performer. … We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. … He will always be in our lives. It’s the topic of the week in the supermarket tabloid world: Why did Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony file for divorce? Rumors abound, many of them blaming Anthony for the split and citing jealousy/control issues . Now, People Magazine takes it a step further: in this week’s issue , the publication says J. Lo worried about infidelity on at least three occasions. [Ben] replied back on email, wished her well and offered what he could,” a mole said. A few days after Affleck allegedly talked with Jennifer, she filed for divorce. The tabloid cites Anthony’s controlling nature for the split and concludes: Lopez “actually has low self-esteem. And Marc really played into that insecurity. That’s why she put up with his abuse for such a long time.”
