RedOne-produced tune featuring Pitbull premiered on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show. By James Dinh Jennifer Lopez Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/ WireImage With the new season of “American Idol” premiering Wednesday, you’d think Jennifer Lopez would have enough on her plate. However, the singer/actress is working hard at a full-blown musical comeback as her brand-new single, “On the Floor,” featuring Pitbull, premiered early Tuesday morning (January 18) on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show . In the track produced by RedOne, Lopez commands the dance floor over a techno beat, which incorporates a sample of Kaoma’s worldwide hit “Lambada.” “If you go hard, you gotta get on the floor/ If you’re a party freak, then step on the floor/ If you’re an animal, then tear up the floor/ Break a sweat on the floor/ Yeah, we work on the floor,” she sings. Jenny fans got their early fix when the demo for the Pitbull-assisted tune hit the Internet on Friday. Later that day, Seacrest sent Lopez fans into a frenzy when he revealed he would debut the finalized version of the track this week. Lopez is expected to make a radio appearance with her “Idol” co-star on his radio show Wednesday. “Fun talking to you on the carpet last night … look forward to catching up Wednesday morning on air!!!” she tweeted . J. Lo has been teasing fans about her collaboration with super-producer RedOne (Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” and “Bad Romance”) via Twitter . “I see u @RedOne_Official! We’re making BIG things happen ‘On the Floor’ this new year!!!” she wrote last week. Back in November, RedOne spoke to Blackbook magazine about his studio sessions with the singer, saying, “Musically, I’m trying to combine all the elements that [make] her who she is. We connected, and it was easy to work together. She’s in another headspace. She’s very positive and content. She knows what she wants to do.” In addition to “On the Floor,” the entertainer’s viral clip for her buzz track “Good Hit” also surfaced online. In the minute-and-a-half clip, the Latin bombshell instructs her all-female class on the latest in “Advanced Fierceology/ Work It Out 101.” What do you think of J. Lo’s new tune? ‘American Idol’ TCA Panel: Our Top Five Season 10 Discoveries

Ryan Seacrest and the newbie judges talk ‘Idol’ at Television Critics Association event, and we got the dish. By Kara Warner Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson at the 2011 TCA Tour Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images It’s hard to believe we’re just one week from the season 10 premiere of “American Idol.” Seems like just yesterday Lee DeWyze was crowned champion, Simon Cowell bid viewers a tearful goodbye and Fox took to cleaning house on the judges panel. Ellen DeGeneres left, Kara DioGuardi headed for the exit and Randy stayed. And after headline-making debate as to who would replace the newly departed judges, we learned that pop icons Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez would join Jackson. And a new era of “Idol” was born. With a nod to that new era, the “Idol” team — host Ryan Seacrest, Jackson, Lopez, Tyler and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe — appeared at the Television Critics Association’s biannual event on Tuesday to talk about the 10th season. While much of the 45-minute TCA press conference was spent discussing things we already knew (changes to the show’s format, the newbie judges’ style), we did get some scoops and narrowed them into a list of our top five favorites. J.Lo’s Glam-tastic Wardrobe Although Lopez said she won’t wear anything particularly fancy or have clothing made specifically for the show, the singer’s wardrobe will certainly be a conversation topic this season. Did you see the unique jumper she sported back in September during the official judges’ announcement? It’s a shame her footwear will be concealed behind that panel table. Steven Tyler Is the New Paula Steven Tyler will fill the wackiness void left by Paula Abdul. Yes, the Aerosmith frontman has said that he wanted to be on “Idol” because of a viewing of Lopez’s rom-com “The Backup Plan” (he savored the chance to sit next to Lopez). But Tyler’s best moment was in response to a question about whether “Idol” producers would put him on a five-second delay as a precaution for any swear-word slippage. Tyler’s answer? “F— no!” You Can Count on Randy, Dawg! In a season rife with change, we can count on veteran Randy to be the reliable, enthusiastic judge we know and love. Although he claimed he’ll bring more heat in season 10 — “A little less yo’s, a little more ‘no’s. You’ll see more hair on the Dawg.” — we’ll have to see it to believe it. ‘Idol’ Songwriters? The potential train wreck (or genius) that could ensue in allowing contestants to pen original songs will be must-see TV. Executive producer Ken Warwick was quoted saying that everyone was “pleasantly surprised” by two contestants’ efforts in that area thus far. Simon Says We will miss Simon Cowell. It’s not that we aren’t already rooting for the new panel, but no one cuts to the chase or brings delusional contestants to their knees quite like Cowell. On the fluffiest, most extravagant talent show in history, his acerbic voice of reason was sometimes the only one worth listening to. “American Idol” premieres Wednesday, January 19, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. ‘American Idol’ Judge Randy Jackson Predicts Female Winner

New judges discuss their relationship, changes to the show in Entertainment Weekly cover story. By Gil Kaufman Randy Jackson Photo: Michael Caulfield/ Getty Images Like late, lamented couple Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift , the new judges on “American Idol” are being forced to develop their relationship in public and in front of the cameras. But unlike that blink-and-you-missed-it Hollywood romance, the “Idol” judges think they’ve figured out the secret to a lasting relationship and seem confident that their unique rapport will help steady the ship as they head into season 10 on the heels of the biggest shakeups in the show’s history . In a sit-down with Entertainment Weekly for the cover of the magazine’s new issue, sole returning judge Randy Jackson, newbies Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler and host Ryan Seacrest dished on life after Simon Cowell and reacted to the criticism they’ve already weathered. The roundtable “Idol” cover comes the same week as news that season-nine runner-up Crystal Bowersox surpassed the sales totals to date for winner Lee DeWyze, whose major-label debut has already nearly slipped out of the top 200 after selling just over 102,000 copies, making it by far the weakest debut by a winner in “Idol” history. Lopez rejected the notion that the show — which saw a 9 percent ratings dip last year and increased competition from “Dancing With the Stars” — has lost some of its luster, considering few of the champs since season five have attained the superstar status of early winners Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson and finalist Chris Daughtry. “I don’t know that that is such a fair statement,” Lopez said. “You named three [superstars] in nine years — that’s pretty amazing. That’s 33 percent. We all know that in this business, a 1 percent chance is huge, so I think this show is doing pretty well in that arena.” As for what the judges are looking for this year, she said, “We’re looking for a recording artist, a pop star, someone who’s a real artist. You can tell that when they walk in, the ones that have that special thing.” The article portrays the new judging panel as being nicer and more optimistic with even the worst auditioners and quickly developing an easy rapport with each other. Both Lopez and Tyler said they want to bring their combined decades of experience in the music biz to bear on the show. “I want to show who I am as a person, as an artist, what I love about music, what I love about other artists, and have all that come out when judging,” Lopez said. “You get to share all of the experience that you have with these kids who are just starting out.” Tyler added that after all the ups and downs he’s gone through with his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Aerosmith, he wants to show off how proud he was to be a part of something and pass it along. “This is the perfect way to pass the torch.” The iconic frontman also answered to the criticism he’s gotten from both his pal Kid Rock and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry , who questioned the logic of his decision to join the cast of the reality singing competition. “I just went with my heart,” Tyler said of the choice Rock called the “stupidest” one Tyler’s ever made. “Kid Rock — he has an album coming out [ Born Free, released in November]. He’s a good friend of mine. I went to a picnic with him, and he taught me how to fry a turkey. I only hope that he’s not frying his own turkey [with that comment]. It’s his opinion.” He also deflected Perry’s jibes, joking that Joe wishes he could have landed the gig. “All I’m doing here is being a musician and reflecting what my career has been,” Tyler responded. It was genial host Ryan Seacrest who did not hold his fire, however. After years of constant taunting and tense on-air put-downs at the hands of Cowell on the show, Seacrest said he’s not worried about developing that same kind of unique spark with his new co-workers. “I think the reason that Simon and I had that dynamic is that he was just so jealous of me,” Seacrest said, with no indication from the EW writer that he was being sarcastic. “From day one, he was envious of my career at such a young age. So I tried to make it as fun as possible and as lighthearted as possible … but with all of us, we have very good senses of humor; we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We like to wind each other up.” And while Lopez and Tyler were a bit coy about whether they would be performing on the show, Randy was not shy about making a bold prediction about this year’s winner. “I think a girl’s going to win the show,” he said, echoing comments he’s made over the past few seasons, the last three of which have been topped by male winners and runners-up. With the age limit dropped to 15 this year, Lopez also had a bold prediction. “You may have the youngest winner ever,” she said. Jennifer Lopez Dishes On ‘Most Fascinating People’ Interview With Barbara Walters

Star credits ‘American Idol’ gig, new music and motherhood with landing her a spot on annual list. By James Dinh Jennifer Lopez Photo: WireImage Thanks to the upcoming season of “American Idol,” an impending new album and recently announced endorsement deals, Jennifer Lopez ‘s career is seeing a resurgence. So it’s no surprise that the pop star, who spent recent years lying low to raise her twins alongside husband Marc Anthony, nabbed a spot on Barbara Walters’ “10 Most Fascinating People of 2010” list. Speaking with WWD , Lopez credited her inclusion on the celeb hot list to a combination of personal and professional endeavors including “the ‘American Idol’ [deal to appear as a judge] and also being a mom and entering back in the scene with the album.” The singer also admitted that she felt the pressure from the news correspondent during the interview, which airs Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. WWD joked with the singer/actress about whether Walters asked her questions like “What kind of tree are you?” She replied, “She didn’t ask me that, but she did ask me some kind of an abstract question like that, where I was like, ‘You’re Barbara Walter-ing me right now!’ ” Lopez, who joins Steven Tyler on the “Idol” judging panel this season, has also been chosen as the new face for L’Or

Jennifer Lopez Has Still Got It

When I say that Jennifer Lopez has still got it, I hope you understand that I’m talking about her fat ass and sweet boobs and not anything that has to do with acting or singing or dancing or anything like that. So we’re all on the same page? Good because here she is taking her talents to the Boys & Girls Club of America the other day. Is it really appropriate to expose children to curves like this at such a young age? Now those poor skinny girls are going to have a hard time in high school. Don’t worry, it gets better once you marry a rich old dude.
