After it was decided by network execs that Empire would be prioritized because it was going into its last season, Star was axed from the lineup. “We looked at our priorities and were trying to prioritize giving Empire the send-off it deserves,” FOX Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier told Deadline . “The move [of Empire ] to 9 p.m, made it a challenge because Star was always the lead-out from Empire and obviously we don’t have the 10 p.m hour, so it was another tough choice in a year where we were prioritizing Empire and obviously some of the other shows that we’ve put on the schedule.” After its cancellation, Daniels pitched Star to Amazon, BET and OWN but he was unsuccessful. H ouston-based artist Shirley Scarpetta is ensuring that the memory of Maleah Davis is kept alive. In honor of the four-year-old, whose body was discovered in Arkansas just over a month ago, Scarpetta is creating a bronze sculpture in her likeness, CNN reported. MALEAH DAVIS: Houston artist creates sculpture of 4-year-old https://t.co/yY6DTWMRBd — ABC13 Houston (@abc13houston) June 29, 2019 The artist—who is an award-winning self-taught bronze sculptor—was inclined to create the statue because she felt deeply impacted by the horrific turn of events that took place within the case. As a mother, she couldn’t even begin to imagine having something so tragic happen to her children and was extremely upset upon hearing that Maleah lost her life. Scarpetta says Maleah serves as a representation of children who were taken from this earth too soon and that violence against children must stop; that’s the message she wanted to convey through her artistry. “It’s for all of us. Our children are so vulnerable, and people need to be reminded to leave a legacy of kindness and loving one another,” she said in a statement, according to CNN. A private donor is helping bring the sculpture to fruition and it will take about a month to complete. There aren’t any details about where the sculpture will live after its finished, but it most likely will be in Houston. Scarpetta has been showing the progression of the sculpture on Instagram. “I couldn’t get her out of my head for a while now. When this happens, I usually have an out of body experience and have to sculpt it,” she posted . “Her tragedy should not have happened. There are plans in the works to have the Red Lake Road overpass in Hempstead County named after her. Maleah went missing on April 30 and her remains were found on May 31 in Fulton, Arkansas. In the case, her mother’s fiancé Derion Vence was charged with tampering with a corpse but has evaded more serious charges. Days after Joy-Anna Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth revealed to the world that the former recently suffered a miscarriage , meaning they had lost their expected second baby, the Counting On stars posted two new pictures on Instagram. Each features the husband and wife cradling their stillborn daughter. It’s tragic, but true: Because Joy-Anna did not lose the child until her 20th week of pregnancy, she actually had to give birth to its corpse. We hate to be so blunt, and we truly cannot comprehend what this must have been like, but it’s simply what sadly transpired for Joy-Anna. “We only had her for 20 weeks, Life is fragile and precious,” wrote Joy-Anna, and Austin as a caption to these images, adding: “So thankful the Lord gave her to us for that short time! She will be in our hearts forever! Thank you all for your love and support! “We can feel the prayers! Thank you, @carlinbates98 for coming to town to be here for me and for doing my hair and makeup for pictures with our little girl!” Joy-Anna and Austin, who are already parents to one-year-old son Gideon, talked candidly about the awful news that they lost baby-number two in a black and white Instagram photo on Wednesday. Here is the photo: And here is what they wrote: Today marks one week since we heard these words… “So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement.” We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl. Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord. In the words of King David after the loss of his baby, “I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me” (2 Sam 12:23). We don’t grieve as those who have no hope because we trust that we will see this little one again. We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means “God has favored me”, and Elise means “God satisfies”. What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus. Please pray for continued healing, not only physically but for our hearts as well. In response to the miscarriage, many loved ones have sent their condolences to the TLC personalities. “We were so sad to hear that Joy and Austin’s baby girl passed away mid-way through their pregnancy,” Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wrote on Instagram in response to this news, adding: “The pain of losing a child is unimaginable. Yet, for the one whose hope is in God, there is a peace that surpasses our finite understanding. “We pray that God will comfort Joy and Austin and carry them through this difficult time.” Added Jessa Seewald: “@AustinandJoyforsyth our hearts are breaking over your loss. Such beautiful words you’ve written in your post. Annabell will forever be in our hearts. Heartbreaking news today from two members of the Duggar family. In a lengthy and understandably emotional Instagram post, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth have alerted fans to the following: They’ve lost their baby. Along with the photo above, this is what the couple wrote on its official social media page late Wednesday night: Today marks one week since we heard these words… “So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement.” Duggar and Forsyth had announced they were expecting their second child back on May 1, joining a long line of loved ones who were pregnant and looking forward to welcoming a baby later this year. “Our favorite math is addition and we are very excited to share that the Forsyth family is adding a member!” the Counting On stars said at the time, adding: “Marriage and being a mom and dad to Gideon has already far exceeded our expectations. “We are looking forward to loving another little one and seeing what special dynamic he or she brings to our family. Table for 4 sounds perfect!” The couple is already parents to a boy named Gideon. They got married in May of 2017 and Joy-Anna said this spring that she was due in 2019. Tragically, however, this is no longer the case. We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl, they revealed in this new Instagram message , continuing as follows: Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. To conclude their post, she and Austin confirmed the name of their late daughter and wrote: We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means “God has favored me”, and Elise means “God satisfies”.
