The news comes just two weeks after the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office filed an appeal with the Pennsylvania Superior Court asking for a new trial with a new judge. “We’re looking forward to the oral argument before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and to, hopefully, having Meek’s conviction vacated,” Mill’s attorney Jordan Siev said in a statement. “In light of the District Attorney’s recent filing, where he supports the granting of a new trial to Meek and the recusal of Judge Brinkley, we hope to have this injustice rectified once and for all.” D.A. Wants Meek Mill To Have A New Trial, In Front Of A New Judge The ongoing battle between Meek’s legal team, which has called for Judge Brinkley to recuse herself from the case, and continues to refuse. According to NBC 10 : At the center of Mill’s legal battle is former Philadelphia police officer Reginald Graham, who is among a group of officers on an internal “Do Not Call” to testify list kept by the district attorney’s office. He was the sole officer to testify when Mill, whose legal name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, was first arrested on gun and drug charges in 2007. Since then, Graham’s credibility has been called into question. Several other cases involving the police officer have already been overturned, yet Mill’s conviction remains in place. Learn from All Your Mistakes and Experiences Although she never mentioned Future by name, Ciara opened up about the most painful aspect of her split from the rapper citing a combination of the breakup itself, the idea of being a single parent, the pressure from the public and the fact that none of it was an ideal situation for her or her son as the reasons why her break up was so hard. It was only after she began to learn from her experience that she was able to move forward and attain the happiness she desired. Her revelation that “time does not stop” and her fear of “wasting time” is what helped her start the healing process as she realized that it would be worse to stay in an unhealthy situation that wasn’t going to get any better. “Knowing what you don’t want is really important, because it creates clarity”, Ciara mentioned. From this experience, she was able to start making different decisions and learn the type of love she wanted for her and her son. Loving Yourself Is Huge Ciara recalled that the moment she realized it was time to end her relationship [with Future] and stand on her own was the same moment she made a commitment to love herself first. “I remember one time I was working out on the elliptical machine and I was just not sure about do I stay or what direction do I go? What’s the right thing to do? It’s easy to do this, but is the easy thing the right thing?” Ciara said. She explained how taking their son, Future, on vacation helped her gain confidence in herself to walk away from that situation. It was then that she committed to loving herself first because once she truly learned to love herself she was able to be loved the way she deserved and most importantly, she was able to give love the right way. “The Prayer” During the fishbowl question segment of the show, a fan got right to the point and asked Ciara, “what was the specific prayer you prayed to get Russell? Hook a sister up!” While blushing, Ciara revealed what she prayed for during that time, stating, “when you pray for things you should be very specific and very clear about what you want, to the point that you can taste it”. She continued, “you can feel it through your bones and body. It’s a very spiritual thing because you’re getting lost by praying and speaking and declaring what you want in your life”. Ciara went on to explain that she prayed that she would learn from the wisdom she gained, for discernment, for a God-fearing man and for someone that loved kids. According to CBS News , while Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, plan to meet the Royal Family in June, Meghan Markle has decided not to attend any of the festivities. The Royal Family recently announced the details of the trip in a press statement. “The President of the United States, President Donald Trump, accompanied by Mrs. Melania Trump, has accepted an invitation from Her Majesty The Queen to pay a state visit to the United Kingdom,” it reads. Apparently, the visit will last for three days and will include one event which will consist of a private palace lunch and tea with Prince William , Kate Middleton , Prince Harry and the Trumps, CBS noted. Once again, Markle cannot and will not be bothered. Granted, she recently gave birth and probably would rather spend time with baby Archie, but she’s also no Trump fan. So perhaps it should come as no surprise that Leah Messer has finally joined the club: Ms. Messer announced on Facebook today that her literary debut — entitled Hope, Grace, & Faith — will be available in stores and online in December. “It’s been literally the most vulnerable I’ve been in my life and it’s been so therapeutic,” Leah said of writing the book. “Most importantly, it’s dedicated to my girls. This book is a memoir, but there’s the off-camera reality of my life,” she added. “So, everything you didn’t see on TV, behind-the-scenes moments, that’s what you’re going to get.” Leah went on to say that the book will leave fans with a better understanding of her background: “My childhood was very rough growing up…breaking familial cycles is not easy and I think that was the biggest reason for writing my memoir. My childhood was rough,” she said. “There is a lot about that period of my life that wasn’t revealed on the show,” Leah added. Leah teased the book on her podcast a while back, saying: “I actually have a project, I’m actually going to be releasing a book revealing everything my fans really don’t know about me or was hidden behind an hour show. “I’m so excited because it’s so emotional. Larissa Lima and Colt Johnson both came away with injuries after a scary, bloody fight on January 10 of this year. Only Larissa was arrested and charged. On Thursday, May 30, she attended her trial for domestic battery. That court session has now concluded. As for the verdict … there's some dispute over that. Some outlets are reporting that things didn't go too badly for Larissa, but that Thursday's hearing could still put her at risk of deportation.
