While fellow young star Miley Cyrus was busy this month pretending to blow a Bill Clinton impersonator , Demi Lovato spent time with the actual former President of the United States. The singer received the Young Luminary Award at the Unite4:Humanity Gala on Thursday night and couldn’t contain her excitement over a selfie she snapped with Bubba. ”Too excited to filter this… NO BIG DEAL – #Selfieswiththeprez…. @billclinton – so nice to meet you!!!!” Lovato wrote as a caption to the following image. Looks like Clinton was psyched to be hanging out with Demi, too, huh? We can’t blame him. Lovato is pretty awesome . Demi Lovato is "Good" With Joe Jonas’ Pot Smoking Story, Says "Don’t Be So Stupid Next Time"

Looks like Demi Lovato is one understanding ex-girlfriend. The pop star sat down for an E! special, Beyond Candid With Giuliana, and weighed in on Joe Jonas’ headline-making essay that featured a tidbit about his first time smoking weed. Jonas revealed in the New York Magazine article that Demi and notorious ganja lover Miley Cyrus were the ones who introduced him to pot. But no hard feelings here. According to Demi, she and Joe are “all good.” Demi Lovato on Joe Jonas Intervew Plus, Joe totally warned her ahead of time. “He had warned me a couple of days before… [but] I don’t even remember [smoking] because clearly, I was chillin’,” Lovato told Giuliana. After the magazine hit stands Demi reached out to her Joe about the name-dropping anecdote. She said, “I called him and I was like, ‘Relax. We’re good. Just don’t be so stupid next time.'” And, no worries, these exes are still pals for life. She told him: “I love you, it’s all good. We’re always going to be friends.”

Demi Lovato Wishes Ke$ha the Best In Rehab

Demi Lovato had nothing but positive words about fellow pop star Ke$ha and her decision to seek treatment for an eating disorder. At a pre-Grammys party, she offered her support and well-wishes for the “Tik Tok” singer in treatment: “Yeah, I wish her the absolute best and I think she is doing a really great thing for herself. It’s really great when you take time out of a schedule that everybody wants you.” “There are so many things, you work so hard and then you kind of forget about yourself, and you don’t really get to treat the things that everyone has like stress. You just kind of throw yourself into work,” she continued. Demi has been open about her own personal struggles and famously checked into rehab in 2010 . She went on to reference her own experience, saying, “When I took that experience, I needed it to live. It taught me a lot and it helped me a ton. I wish her the absolute best. She’s a really sweet girl and she’s going to be fine.” Ke$ha checked in to an Illinois facility on January 3rd seeking treatment for an eating disorder. Demi Lovato performed Friday night as part of Miami’s Y100 Jingle Ball, and then stopped backstage for an interview with the radio station. The young superstar talked in the Q&A about crazy celebrity gossip stories, “moving on” from The X Factor and whether or not any celebrities out there need plastic surgery. “I shouldn’t even think this,” Lovato replied to that question. “It should be me! I should get a boob job. They’re like mosquito bites.” HA! We love it. Especially because Demi has struggled for years with body image, ending up in rehab toward the end of 2010, partly as a result of an eating disorder. She told Katie Couric in 2012: “When I started having body image issues I remember being three years old in a diaper and rubbing my hand over my stomach … and I remember thinking in my head ‘I wonder if one day this will ever be flat?'” So it’s sort of nice to now see Lovato joking about her figure, isn’t it? Cheyne Thomas, the best friend of Miley Cyrus , is an a total jerk face. There’s really no other way to put it, not after a video surfaced this week of Thomas making fun of Demi Lovato, specifically the singer’s recent brave admission that she formerly snorted cocaine on airplanes . Lovato also said in that same interview that there was a time she couldn’t go more than 30 minutes without a drug fix. So keep that statement in mind as you watch Thomas take a personal struggle and make it comedic fodder below: Cheyne Thomas Mocks Demi Lovato Come on, man. At least be funny if you’re gonna be a tool. In August, meanwhile, Thomas referred to Kelly Clarkson as “fat” on Twitter after the original American Idol took to that social network and made a mention of ” pitchy strippers ” at the Video Music Awards. Seriously… Kelly Clarkson! Who makes fun of Kelly Clarkson?!? Or someone’s battles with substance abuse? Demi Lovato is everywhere these days. The singer is judging The X Factor . She’s guest-starring on Glee. And she’ll be taking off on tour in early 2014. Oh, and Lovato is also featured in the November issue of Teen Vogue, opening up to the magazine about sexuality, body image issues and a lot more. “I don’t have the body of a model or Barbie,” Lovato says. “My main thing about being in the spotlight with my fans is, I want to be real to them. I have my problem areas, but I’m happy in my skin right now. I’m not going to sacrifice my mental health to have the perfect body.” Amen, Demi! Well said. Along with having more confidence in her appearance, Lovato has come a long way in learning to speak up fro herself. “You’ve gotta be honest with people around you,” she says. “And honest with yourself. When you’re having a rough day, be like, ‘I don’t want to talk about this, but I need to get it off my chest.’ If you have a secret – secrets make you sick.” As for portraying a lesbian on Glee ? “I’m honored to portray a character that’s representing this chapter in our society. Demi Lovato to Release Motivational Quote Book

Book it! Demi Lovato has a new project in the works. The X Factor judge and upcoming Glee guest star is adding the title Author to her resume, as she announced this week that she’s coming out with a tome called “Staying Strong.” Said Lovato in an announcement on Keek, referencing the eating disorder and self-confidence issues that landed her in rehab a couple years ago: “One of the things that has helped me in recovery is taking every day one day at a time and I’m a firm believer in starting out the day right with an inspirational quote and sort of a morning meditation. So I’ve put together 365 of my favorite quotes and a little morning meditation for everybody.” Demi concluded: “It’s just something that I’m excited about and I hope you all like it and I hope that it inspires you to be staying strong.” The book is available for pre-order now and will officially go on sale November 19.
