The much-publicized demise of their 72-day marriage played out in the last season of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York” and last month while co-hosting “Live!” with Kelly Ripa, Kim opened up about her whirlwind romance. “It’s so sad,” she said. “I would never wish anyone to go through a divorce, but then again after what I went through, you don’t really know until you’re in this person’s shoes … When I see other people when I might not understand their situation, now I really just step back because you don’t really know what they’re going through.” Now it’s his turn to speak out. In his first in-depth interview since the NBA lockout, Humphries tells “Access Hollywood” that his love and marriage with Kardashian was genuinely real. “To me it was real,” Humphries explained. “I would never go through something and do something that wasn’t real or I didn’t believe in, so I can really only speak for myself in terms of that.” Humphries, who is now seeking an annulment to erase his brief marriage to the reality star on the grounds of fraud, revealed that his faith, family and, of course, basketball helped him get through his breakup. “I’m in a great place,” Humphries said in the interview, which begins airing Tuesday (February 7). “Above all, my faith in God and just how close my family is and then the fact that luckily we didn’t get locked out all season and we’re playing basketball. Basketball is where you can go and just not think about anything and just let loose. I always tell people basketball is like my therapy. Some people talk to psychologists, I just need to go play basketball; that’s it.” Since the breakup, Kim has remained single, but hopeful in still finding love. “I definitely tried everything I felt like I could … I want babies,” Kardashian told Ripa. “I want forever love.” So is Kris ready to get back into the dating game? “I’m not dating anyone right now. My name is Alexis and I never, in a million years thought I would be writing a Bieber experience. It happened on February 4, 2012, also known as my dad’s birthday! Yes on my dad’s birthday, he took me to see Justin! I was home watching ‘Never Say Never’ and when it was done, I went to my room to sleep early cause I didn’t get to go to the studio and I was soooo upset. My brother came into my room, woke me up and said, “Get up we are going”. I was shocked and said, “Where?” He answered, “To see Justin!” I FREAKED OUT! I haven’t gotten ready that fast in my life! (By the way, I live an hour away from the studio so even if we didn’t see Justin, I was gonna be happy and grateful) The real part of the night started off at 12ish when we got there! I had been there the night before and only gotten a picture with Justin’s security, Moshe. We got there and there was no people compared to the day before so my parents said we were gonna stay until he comes out! At about 1am Justin came out and skateboarded! This was after I got Mike and Moshe’s signature. As Justin was skateboarding, everyone was screaming and he tried to get us quiet but come on it’s Justin. No one could stop freaking out! After I asked him questions, he smiled and waved at me . He even stared right at me! Someone had asked him something and I forgot what he said but I answered at an awkward-quiet moment and said something like, “We love you and we are your beliebers” and Justin looked up at me and said, “I know”. Then I freaked out and yelled out, “OMB YOU TALKED TO ME”. He laughed and kept skating! As time went by, I asked more questions and he answered. Later on, Fredo went by and touched my hand! THAT WAS ONE OF MY DREAMS IN LIFE! At about 1:45am, Justin went around and signed everything everyone had! Justin touched my hand and I was just saying thank you over and over again. This had been the day, I had been waiting for the past couple years. I didn’t get a picture with Justin because he went inside! When he left, EVERYONE LEFT! But me and my sister were like, hey mom and dad, can we stay a little longer? SO WE DID! Best decision ever. My sister and I were standing across the road and we were the only car left. My sister said to me, Scooter is coming, so we walked to the gate and Scooter and Moshe noticed us and walked over! At this time, it was just me and my family (meaning my 3 sisters, parents, brother and sister’s friend!) We talked to Scooter but then about 15 people showed up. We talked to Scooter some more, got pictures and just had a great time! It didn’t feel like we were talking to someone famous at all, just an everyday person and I liked that. After Scooter talked to my dad and all of us! We got Scooter to call @blackollg on the phone because I was the only one who knew her and he wanted to thank her cause she is one of the most dedicated beliebers ever! Scooter didn’t even get through half of her Twitter name when he asked who knew her, and I was screaming “Omg I know her, that’s Shelly!” Then I realized I had her phone number! We called but no answer so he left her a voicemail! Let me just say she called me an hour later thanking Scooter and I! I was honored to be the one to tell Scooter about her! He even made a video for her and he used my phone! The entire night Justin, Scooter, Moshe, and Mike touched my phone! Then Scooter told us a story no one knows about Justin! I will never share it cause it’s between Scooter, Justin and all of us! It was the best night of my life. Then about 2 seconds after the story, my sister looks at me and goes, “That’s Justin” and everyone went crazy but he told us to please be quiet! He skated and talked to us but the paps came and he asked them to leave and we all were yelling at the paps! Justin was like, “here” and he posed and said, “Can you please leave now”. We told Justin that Scooter told us the story and he laughed! Throughout the night, Justin said ass and crap and I was like Omg our baby is growing up haha! Also, Justin’s voice is COMPLETELY different than ever! It’s so deep and cute! Finally he fell off his skateboard and just laid there and we were going insane of how funny it was. After he left, we talked to Scooter, got more pictures and later on that night at 5am, Scooter followed me on Twitter. It was the perfect night! My dream came true. To everyone who thinks this will never happen, say “NEVER SAY NEVER”. Look how far it got me. I owe it all to my parents, Scooter and Justin! THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU. I heard everyone on Twitter was entering a T4 competition to fly out to LA and meet Justin at Paramount Studios and it was also the same competition that came with the Never Say Never DVD. I thought it was worth giving it a try! I forgot that I even entered when I came home from school one day and my parents sat me down and told me they got a call from T4 telling them I had won and me and my mum were going to meet Justin Bieber in 2 weeks time in LA! The day came when I met him and me and all the winners from other countries were all waiting together for Justin to arrive. Fi nally Kenny and Justin came in. My name is Katya and I’m 15 years old & I live in South Florida . On Wednesday February 2, 2012 my dad took me to the studio in Miami because the one and only Justin Bieber was going to be there. I called him during school to tell him and he knows that I’ve been through so much that he agreed to take me. I’ve been a belieber for 3 long years and I am obsessed with Justin. I have attended 2 concerts, flown to NYC for the book signing and entered millions of contests to try to meet him and never have actually met him. My little sister met him before I did in summer of 2010 and I was completely devastated. I kept asking why this would happen to me, when I was the one who knew everything about Justin and I was the obsessed one. All I wanted was to meet him even more. Thanksgiving was coming up and I heard about Justin’s book signing in NYC so I convinced my parents to take me and well lets just say that I waited in the rain/cold weather for 7 hours and when they did the head count for 1000 girls, the line got cut in front of me. I went to the hotel, fell asleep and when I woke up, it turns out they had let another 1000 girls in! I lost all the hope I had. People kept telling me, “good things happen to those who wait, be patient” but all I ever thought of was how I was never going to meet him. Then 2012 began and my New Years resolution was to meet him and on February 2nd it all payed off. I got to the studio around 7:50 and by 8:00, 10 girls and I were watching Justin Bieber walk over to us . I surprisingly was clam due to the fact that I kept thinking “this is a dream”. Things like this don’t happen to people like me. He came over with his hands in his pocket and said, “How’d you girls know I was here?” laughing and smiling! At this point, I couldn’t hold it in so I blared, “OMG Justin. I love you SO much! This is like a dream come true for me” and he replied, “Love you too” . Alfredo was with him and one thing led to another, Justin took all our cameras and handed them to Alfredo for a group photo. Justin got right infront of me but before Alfredo took pictures, Justin Bieber ducked and stuck out his hands, I GRABBED ON TO IT and Alfredo started clicking away!! We were behind the gate but nothing stopped me from being the happiest girl there! I was there until midnight and saw him skateboard like 4 feet away from me , and well we had a full on conversation! I had no thoughts, words or worries because I had finally met Justin Bieber. The next morning, the picture of us holding hands was all over Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, OceanUp, Miami Herald and even on Local News! The best part about it was that Justin tweeted the picture , which means that he hopefully saw my face and our hands locking! Yesterday and today walking down the school hallway is like walking down a red carpet. Some people know me as the girl who held Justin’s hand! By Rob Markman Saigon Photo: Saigon Don’t Sleep: Necessary Notables Mixtape : Warning Shots 3: One Foot in the Grave Headliner : Saigon Real Spit: Now that Saigon has finally told his greatest story, the hard-nosed rap spitter has returned to bust more shots. After almost five years of delays, Giddy dropped his debut The Greatest Story Never Told in February 2011, and he’s not letting up with Warning Shots 3: One Foot in the Grave, his newest mixtape released on January 24. Hosted by multiplatinum producer Just Blaze, WS3 opens with a bang. “BBB (Real N—as Never Die)” samples Buju Banton’s 1992 reggae classic “Boom Bye Bye” and launches a full-scale attack on fashion-forward MCs, focusing his energy on street-bred raps instead. “I rather hear a n—a lying on firing glocks/ Than to have to hear a n—a rhyme about designer socks.” The onslaught continues on “I Am 4 Real,” the tape’s first single, and on the Lil’ Fame-assisted “Another Man Down.” On the latter, Sai twists Rihanna’s “Man Down” vocals for the song’s murderous hook and shares a perfect chemistry with M.O.P.’s Fame. In underground rap circles, Giddy’s original Warning Shots is heralded as a classic. On the third installment of the series, Sai revisits “Come Again,” a track that appeared on WS in 2004. The beat on “Come Again 2012” is the same, but the flow is upgraded. Trading his New York slang for a Caribbean patois, the Yardfather goes in spitting: “Lickle Saigon, what are you doin’ back here/ They said you were supposed to retire last year/ Tell ’em don’t believe everything that you hear/ 2012 things finna get clear.” It’s not all chest-pounding on WS3, however. With “Women Are the New Dogs,” Sai shows a different side as he slows things down. He’s not exactly heartbroken, but Giddy raps somberly, realizing that he may not be able to trust the fairer sex. Over the course of the 19-track mixtape, Saigon shows resiliency. His oft-delayed debut album may have been stalled due to label changes and industry politics, but through it all he has persevered. Sullivan Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon and Tom Hardy in “This Means War” Photo: 20th Century Fox It takes only two short clips from “This Means War” to show you exactly what kind of movie it is. On one hand you have a woman, played by Reese Witherspoon , torn between two men she genuinely likes. It’s nothing that far out of line with what you expect from your average romantic comedy. On the other hand, you have the influence of McG and two of Hollywood’s top action stars, Tom Hardy and Chris Pine , playing her love interests and secret-agent best buddies. Things, as you can imagine, get a little messy. As part of “MTV First: This Means War” , we debuted two new clips from “This Means War,” and they both give a very good taste of what’s in store in the movie that hits theaters on Valentine’s Day. The first finds Pine’s character, FDR, crashing a date between Hardy’s Tuck and Lauren, played by Witherspoon. Lauren goes to the bathroom to collect herself after the surprise encounter, while back out in the restaurant, the former best friends use every ounce of their professional training to beat the crap out of each, destroying the restaurant in the process. The other clip takes on a much more relaxed tone, showing off the lighter side of the movie. Lauren confides in her best friend, Trish, played by Chelsea Handler, and attempts to make a decision between the two suitors. Unbeknownst to her, both FDR and Tuck listen in. James Langston Hughes was born February 1, 1902, in Joplin, Missouri. His parents divorced when he was a small child, and his father moved to Mexico. His grandmother raised him until he was thirteen, when he moved to Lincoln, Illinois, to live with his mother and her husband, before the family eventually settled in Cleveland, Ohio. It was in Lincoln, Illinois, that Hughes began writing poetry. Following graduation, he spent a year in Mexico and a year at Columbia University. During these years, he held odd jobs as an assistant cook, launderer, and a busboy, and traveled to Africa and Europe working as a seaman. In November 1924, he moved to Washington, D.C. Hughes’s first book of poetry, The Weary Blues, was published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1926. He finished his college education at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania three years later. In 1930 his first novel, Not Without Laughter, won the Harmon gold medal for literature. Hughes, who claimed Paul Lawrence Dunbar, Carl Sandburg, and Walt Whitman as his primary influences, is particularly known for his insightful, colorful portrayals of black life in America from the twenties through the sixties. He wrote novels, short stories and plays, as well as poetry, and is also known for his engagement with the world of jazz and the influence it had on his writing, as in Montage of a Dream Deferred. His life and work were enormously important in shaping the artistic contributions of the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. Unlike other notable black poets of the period—Claude McKay, Jean Toomer, and Countee Cullen, Hughes refused to differentiate between his personal experience and the common experience of black America. He wanted to tell the stories of his people in ways that reflected their actual culture, including both their suffering and their love of music, laughter, and language itself. Langston Hughes died of complications from prostate cancer in May 22, 1967, in New York. In his memory, his residence at 20 East 127th Street in Harlem, New York City, has been given landmark status by the New York City Preservation Commission, and East 127th Street has been renamed “Langston Hughes Place.” In addition to leaving us a large body of poetic work, Hughes wrote eleven plays and countless works of prose, including the well-known “Simple” books: Simple Speaks His Mind, Simple Stakes a Claim, Simple Takes a Wife, and Simple’s Uncle Sam. He edited the anthologies The Poetry of the Negro and The Book of Negro Folklore, wrote an acclaimed autobiography, The Big Sea and co-wrote the play Mule Bone with Zora Neale Hurston.
