Chris Brown Says Tiger Woods Deserves A Second Chance

‘This goes for me and him, his personal life is his personal life,’ Brown says. By Gil Kaufman Chris Brown Photo: Chris Graythen/ Getty Images In an interview on the Mojo in the Morning radio show in Detroit on Wednesday, Chris Brown said he believes embattled golfer Tiger Woods deserves a second chance in the wake of the sex scandal that has exposed his private life. “I know my fans gave me a second chance,” said Brown, who is currently serving five years probation after pleading guilty to assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna last February. “I think people always deserve a second chance.” Brown said that he supported Woods, who appeared at a heavily managed press conference last week to make his first public apology after his multiple affairs were exposed in the wake of a Thanksgiving morning car crash. “I hope he gets back on the field and does his thing, ’cause he is the best at it,” said Brown, who referred to the Rihanna incident as a “hiccup and a major mistake” during the lighthearted phone interview with the radio station. His career appears to have taken a hit as a result of the assault — his latest album, Graffiti has stalled out short of 300,000 copies after nearly three months in stores. “Whatever [Woods’] personal life is, and this goes for me and him, his personal life is his personal life,” he said. “Nobody has the right to place judgment or make any judgment on anybody else’s personal life when they’re not directly involved with them.” Brown said he caught glimpses of the Woods apology on TV and opined, “He plays golf. That’s his sport, that’s his hobby, that’s his love, that’s what people love him for. They don’t love him for the other stuff that they talk about. … Even with me, I do music, I sing songs, I’m an entertainer, I’m a performer. But people make mistakes.” Asked if he would ever reach out to Woods, Brown said he’d rather be a fan from afar, confident that the golfer has people in his inner circle who can help him. “I think people have to realize that everybody’s human,” he said. “The good thing is, if you learn from your mistakes, then that’s a part of life. I think that’s a part of living and learning from mistakes and becoming a better person and growing from situations.” When it was suggested that some radio programmers were holding back on playing his music in the wake of the scandal, Brown said he believed he was being unfairly treated. “It’s not like I hold a grudge, though,” he said. “I know that people have their certain opinions, and certain people might come around … take a little bit more time to be as forgiving as other people.” Related Photos MTV.com Exclusive: Chris Brown Related Artists Chris Brown

‘American Idol’ Top 12 Men Have A Rocky Live Debut

Casey James emerges as one of only standouts during the boys’ first performance night. By Gil Kaufman Casey James on “American Idol” Wednesday Photo: Fox After a number of uneven, forgettable performances by the top 12 ladies Tuesday night, it was starting to feel like Simon Cowell’s prediction that a female would win this year’s “American Idol” was a bit premature. And then the men took the stage Wednesday night (February 24), and for most of the two hours, well, they seemed determined to prove Simon right. From poor song choices to shaky vocals and clear nerves, one by one, the guys got hammered by the judges, with even front-runner Andrew Garcia drawing some fire for his somber Fall Out Boy cover as pinup cowboy Casey James appeared to slip into the pole position with his mix of good looks and strong vocals. First out of the gate was Todrick Hall, one of the most experienced singers in the competition. He took a big chance singing a Chris Brown-y funk take on original “Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson’s breakthrough hit “Since U Been Gone.” He satisfied the judge’s desire to hear something original, and Ellen DeGeneres was visibly pleased, applauding Hall’s stage moves but saying the chorus was a bit of a mess. Randy Jackson actually didn’t love how the arrangement was so different that he almost couldn’t recognize it, and Cowell said Hall came over “as a dancer trying to sing,” docking him for completely “murdering” the song. One of this year’s youngest contestants, spiky-haired 16-year-old Aaron Kelly tackled Rascal Flatts’ “Here Comes Goodbye,” showing remarkable poise and self-confidence as he wrapped his raspy voice around the schmaltzy cowboy ballad. “Bearing in mind it’s your first live show, it actually was quite a good performance,” said Cowell, who suggested that the high-schooler looked a bit embarrassed to be onstage and not confident that he deserved to be in the competition. “You’re a good singer, very likable, very cute, but you have to take control of the song,” he added. Church singer Jermaine Sellers, 27, who almost blew it in Hollywood when he threw the band under the bus, went the inspirational route with Oleta Adams’ version of the gospel tune “Get Here,” busting out some powerful falsetto amid breathy verses. Ellen liked the song choice but said Sellers seemed to be trying too hard, and Randy suggested he go more contemporary with his big voice and try a tune by Ne-Yo or Maxwell instead. Simon likened it to a corny piano-bar song and said the middle section sounded like screaming. “I think you’ve totally blown your opportunity,” he concluded. Tim Urban, 20, revealed that he didn’t even tell his family that he’d made the top 24 after initially missing the cut and then sliding into the 24 spot when Chris Golightly was disqualified , letting them find out only when they watched the final Hollywood Week episode. The floppy-haired Texan went contemporary with OneRepublic’s “Apologize,” strangely staring into the camera and displaying his limited vocal range when he reached too far for the falsetto notes on the chorus and went oddly aggressive on the verses. Cowell congratulated him for coming back. “Having said that, we absolutely made the right decision the first time around by not putting you through with that performance,” he said, calling the performance and vocals weak and Urban’s voice just not good enough. For Randy, none of it worked, and Ellen agreed, saying the high notes were just not there, though people might vote for him because he’s adorable, which she mentioned more than once. RuPaul’s Drag Race: Britney and B. and Gaga! Oh My.

Raspberries! Or should I say, Ratthhhberrietthhh! Last night’s episode of our gay fantasia on irrational themes was surely the best, with a fun challenge involving celebrity impersonations. Some queens soared! Others left us bored. The whole episode was game show themed, which mostly made me wish there was some sort of drag queen game show going on somewhere. (Drag Queen Bingo at Pieces does not count.) Though hopefully it would be a little less depressingly low-rent than the first game last night, a Price Is Right pastiche in which the girls had to guess-price various drag queen essentials. Things like duct tape (tuct tape! har), hemorrhoid cream (for the eyes! the eyes), and brass knuckles. Oh and a wig! A really, really expensive human hair wig. For this challenge the editing focused on Raven, a two-time Lip-Sync for Her Lifer who really needed this win, just really needed it. Especially because the winner got to phone a friend to say hello. Because I’m sure everyone misses their loved ones while away filming this show over a long weekend. Anyway, on her round Raven guessed the correct price of her item, I believe it was some kind of moisturized Spanx product, and ohhh calloo callay it was a happy day. She looked into the camera and said “I think this says to the other girls, I’m here and I’m a force to be reckoned with.” No, chille, she didn’t design a fashion dress that’s going to be sold at Macy’s. She most-closely guessed the price of some soiled undergarments. But that’s the joy of reality TV, I suppose, that it’s all relative. One man’s Nancy O’Dell wearing your dress to the Grammys is another man’s fairly accurately-priced pair of Bitches brand Britches. During the next round, Jessica Wild got very lucky and won for her hemorrhoid cream guess. She said she “did not know for what this product is,” but it didn’t matter. This game, like Deal or No Deal , could just be called Guess! . I suppose there is slightly more skill involved in guessing prices than there is in just pointing to a suitcase and saying “That one,” but they’re not far off. Sonique won with Caroline Rhea for the block in the third round, and then it was the finalz. The items up for guessing were a grand Showcase Showdown of important items: the aforementioned brass knuckles, a can of peppah spray, and a real hair lace front wig. (Interesting Google note: to find the exact term for that kind of wig, I went up to the little Firefox Google search bar thing and typed the word ‘lace’ and before I could even type ‘wig,’ the first Suggestion that came up was, in fact, ‘lace front wigs.’ What does that say about Google? About me? About the world?) So these were all items that could come in handy when, what? Walking down the street in your finest and being accosted by nogoodniks, I guess. Bless her cruel heart, Raven won the whole shebang, proving that she is a WHIRLWIND OF TALENT, and she got to call home. She called her mom and was all excited about it, but then the mom was like “Huh? Who? Oh, hi. Yeah, what’s up? Look, I’m in line at the ShopRite and, hold on a sec — no, miss, that’s my ground turkey, yeah and my Nilla Wafers — sorry, hun? How’s your weekend thing?” So it wasn’t exactly the big emotional phone call some had been hoping for, perhaps. But, again, Raven’s gonna see her on Monday night. Next up was impressions tiiiiiime! Even though she used to weird me out and make me a little sad, I think I may now love Pandora Boxx. Why? Because she did Carol Channing. And amid a sea of otha queens who just want to look pretty and pouty all the time, Pandora isn’t afraid to just be silly and fun. The ice-cold bitch drag queen is fun and all, but the big bawdy ridiculous ones are too. So good for you, Pandora. Also good to the ridiculously beautiful Tatiana, who pulled off a terrific Britney Spears even though she went into the competition having no idea what she was going to do. And bad to everyone else. Pretty much! Most of the other girls just wanted to be pretty, not silly, even though Ru told them to be funny. But, no. Most of the boys are little vain babies, so they picked divas they loved, like unabashedly lurved and wanted to be. Of course Tyra, vainest queen of all the vain queens, picked Beyoncé. And, sorry, but because Tyra is about as smart as a goose pooping on an 8th grade social studies book, her Beyoncé impression consisted of “being nice” and having crazy eye makeup. Fiona Shaw this Tyra creature is not. She also got mad when Tatiana said that the real-life Beyoncé falling was funny. This gravely offended Tyra. And having written, until fairly recently, for a site on which people got gravely, gravely upset and offended when you criticized or laughed at something very faraway and not actually related to them, I could totally emphasize with Tatiana when she said “It’s not you know her personally…” Tyra didn’t care. She was upset. Next most annoying was the awful Morgan, who has that barracuda jaw and that breathy cattiness that she clearly thinks is fierce and fahrabulous but is just, well, stupid. She is the platypus that later sees the pooping goose and asks how its day was and the goose says “Ohh fine,” and the two just stare out at the pond and think dumb thoughts for the rest of the evening. Anyway, Ma Platypus decided to be Pink because she really liked Pink, mostly because I’m sure she thinks she looks like Pink, which she don’t. If Pink were played by a tired Nicole Tom in a Lifetime biopic, then Morgan could do a fair impersonation of that. But not the real Pink, Pink. Raven went as Paris Hilton and, as always, looked good, but didn’t do much of anything with the character. Sonique basically just picked random drag detritus up off the floor and glued it to her face and was Lady Gaga. Gaga with absolutely no personality or humor or anything. Just Sonique with broken spectacles and other shit glued to her face. Sahara Davenport did a decent Whitney. There was some semblance of a joke there — she was supposed to be Being Bobby Brown era Whits — but it didn’t connect in the way that Pandora and Tatiana did. Oh, and Jessica Wild. Ohhhhhhh Jessica Wild. Never has a drag queen more fully lived up to her last name. If her name was Jessica Wild ‘n Crazy, that would be most accurate, in the most literal way possible. She is feral and insane, basically. She decided to do a RuPaul impression and while Ru loved it, doing RuPaul as some preening and oblivious weirdo isn’t exactly the best read of the character, I don’t think. Jessica spent all of her time tossing her badly-styled wig around and doing strange, lurching jigs that made everyone around her nervous. It was sort of embarrassing! But not as embarrassing as Morgan just pouting there like an idiot. Quack. (What sound does a platypus make?) So basically Pandora and Tatiana were the only funny things, just real slightly absurd senses of humor, and everyone else dumbly farted around while Ru and the gay guy from Ugly Betty , the fashion reporter one, pretended to laugh. Apparently Lisa Rinna and Niecy Nash were watching from places unseen, because they were there for final judging and had some perspective on the fake Match Game game. (Oh, right, that’s what the girls did once they were dressed up like celebrities. They played the “Snatch Game” and had to come up with funny answers.) I have an image of two side-by-side portraits hanging on the wall of the Drag Race garage studio and the eyes are moving. And it’s Lisa Rinna and Niecy Nash. Only Lisa’s portrait has the lips cut out too, for comfort’s sake. Alas we didn’t see that. We did see the girls in drag again! They always all look pretty good for the glossy runway show, with, sigh, Tyra being the standout. She just had this really fun costume that was a little suit and hat and a bunch of shopping bags (that said Santino on them! harooo!). Most of the other girls wore booty skirts or dresses, so Tyra doing a real costume kinda costume was a good time. Ru said her usual crazy things on the runway: “Ohhh, Morgan just sold Alaska to Seward with that little number.” “Sonique my love, Bella Abzug called and she wants her hat back! Divine.” “Misty May-Treanor is that a wig and a half, Sahara!” “We regret to inform you that your husband has died in a grist mill fire, Tatianna! Nice work!” She could just say those things all day forever and ever and that would be a fine show. Why don’t we do that instead of a competition? Coming this fall on Logo, RuPaul Says Things About Other Drag Queens . Or, Conveyor Belt of Queens ? In the meantime, it was time for winners and losers. Raven was in the chewy middle! Good for that old crab. Obviously Pandora and Tatiana were in the top, while Morgan (yay!), Sonique (meh), and Jujubee (a borrring and unimpressionable Kimora Lee) were the bottomz. Tatiana ended up winning, mostly because she was prettier than the wild-eyed Pandora, so there you go. I liked Carol Channing better, but that’s just who I am. MORGAN AND SONIQUE DUELED. Sonique didn’t really know what to do, so mostly she just flailed and jerked around, finally removing her sad orange dress to reveal a sad orange bikini, in which she gyrated awkwardly and messily lipped to “Two of Hearts.” Unfortunately Morgan the Gorgon did pretty well in the whole lip-syncing department. RuPaul said it was the best she’d seen on the show. Blah. She also did that weird rotating arm dancing that you see drag queens and dudes that guide planes into the gates at the airport doing. All stiff, directional arms. Drag queens love that stuff! Does that mean that airport workers and drag queens share a lot in common? I sort of hope. So that was that and the lackluster and frowny Sonique was made to sashay away, while Morgan chomped into a passing school of clown fish and Jessica Wild started screaming and yodeling somewhere backstage and the next time anyone saw her, she’d gnawed her way through one of the exterior walls and was rolling down the boulevard in a laundry cart, singing a song of freedom. Jessica, into the wild.

Justin Bieber Fans Cause Police To Shut Down Paris In-Store Appearance

‘Paris is crazy!’ Canadian pop star tweets after meet-and-greet. By Jocelyn Vena Fans in Paris gather to meet Justin Bieber Photo: Francois G. Durand/ WireImage Justin Bieber is apparently huge in France. The 15-year-old pop star on Monday (February 22) that his in-store appearance in Paris that afternoon was cut short after a large crowd of fans swarmed his meet-and-greet. The police were forced to shut down the event at the Citadium store after a large number of fans showed up to meet the singer. “Paris is crazy!” Bieber wrote following the experience. “Had some interviews this morning with mags and radio. Got to practice my French a little. But then the in-store … There were thousands of kids at the in-store and the police were not expecting it. They reorganized the crowd and we got it going, but after a little while the police stopped it and came in and said it was over and I had to leave.” Bieber apologized to the fans he missed. “Sorry to any of the kids I didn’t get to meet. I love all of you for your support. To start my trip in Paris like this already, the love and the energy is amazing. Thank you so much.” This isn’t the first time Bieber fans have caused pandemonium . Last November, an appearance he was scheduled to make at Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, New York, was canceled after fans started a stampede. According to reports at the time, someone in the mall falsely screamed that Bieber was inside their store and kids rushed toward his mistaken location. One young girl was reportedly hospitalized and several fights allegedly occurred. Related Artists Justin Bieber

Virgins Losers love this bitch because she is what they modeled the girl in Avatar after, and Avatar porn clips are all the fuckin’ rage in the virgin loser circuit, as virgin losers may hate “cheating” on their previous love interests and sexual fantasies they’re loyal to, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Xena the Warrior Princess, their love for technology just can’t pass up on new masturbation trends……. I feel that once a virgin loser leaves the safety of his mother’s basement or computer filled apartment after years of therapy, some medication and a new outlook on life that realizes he will either kill himself or break the miserable pattern his social awkwardness and obsessive compulsiveness has created for him, hoping to make his way through life as close to a normal person as possible by divorcing his internet wife he met on an RPG game and trying to not talk about bullshit that only he and 3 other guys online find interesting, only to realize that real life is hard, since real woman walk around it, making everything so fuckin’ distracting, because everything leads to an erection….especially when all your fantasies come true and the actress who played your most recent alien crush is getting patted down in airport security in a pair of tight jeans that show off her flat ass the virgins don’t find flat because it’s ass and it’s connected to the bitch from Avatar….making them realize this whole living in the normal world is not going to work for them, it’s too much of a sensory overload, that is just way too much to handle….limiting their excursions to seeing Sci-fi movies in 3D for the 14th time…and going to the computer store to buy parts for the spaceship they are building in the garage. I didn’t re-read this because I find editing too self-absorbed but I hope it makes sense…..otherwise it was a huge waste of time and by huge I mean 5 minutes of time which is huge if you only have 6 minutes to live. Real Housewives of Orange County: Heaven Help Us

Look, in the sky! The clouds are parting and a heavenly ray of sunshine is screaming down towards Earth. It is the holy light of the Housewives, our most pious and delicate and wonderful and, occasionally, homeless creatures. Last night’s episode was all about faith. Faith in God, faith in family, faith in Merv Griffin. I mean, when you think of the phrase “Real Housewives” you immediately go to the word “faith.” Well, actually, first you go to “ham salad,” but right after that, it’s all about faith. These women just exude piety and beautifulness. And they breed it, too. I think we all feel a little more of God’s love in our hearts whenever they are near. Or not. I don’t know. WHEN LAST WE LEFT, all of the Wivery Wives were gathered in Sam Flamenco, a beautiful rocky city full of degenerate old Europeans , because their friend Cynthia Swann had thrown herself off the Golden Gate Bridge and they had to fish the body out before the pelicans ate it. They were a little late because Vicki had to stop and get her face re-skewered, so the pelicans had already done a number on her. Vicki stood there in her waders and big yellow fisherman’s hat, staring at the beak-mangled body of Stockard Channing, and she said “Hey, who wants lunch?” So it was off to lunch! Lunch for these ladies is mostly just sitting around and bitching (another brilliant zinnggggerrrr…) There is so much to bitch about. Their husbands aren’t rich enough, their girls aren’t pretty enough, their boys aren’t in and out of jail for stupid misdemeanors enough. These are what my grandmother, Stockard Channing, used to call “high class problems.” (Hurling yourself off a bridge in California while wearing a 1989 Talbot’s suit is also something of a high class problem, but I guess Grandma Channing didn’t really care about that.) Mostly though, the ladies like to bitch about each other. And these days their favorite target is Vicki. Because, see, Vicki threatens them. Vicki makes her own money and her husband hasn’t implanted a Warren Jeffs-designed microchip in her brain that triggers her pain receptors every time she has an independent thought. They don’t trust that, they don’t like it, and when they are lying in bed at night, listening to the house and their hearts settle, they are jealous of it. Plus, Vicki’s kinda a bitch. So, they attack her. Reeoowwrrrr! , they go, flashing their orange talons at her. Galllloooooooooo! , Vicki goes, scared as a water buffalo, jabbing her horns at them to protect herself. They struggle like this for some time until Vicki stomps away. Vicki always stomps away. When she was giving birth to Briana it hurt so much she just took off her girl parts and stomped away. “No, I’m not doing that anymore, I don’t need to sit here and take that.” Have you ever seen someone stomp out of a restaurant? I think I maybe have once, but maybe not. Anyway, it’s not a common occurrence. Unless you’re on this show, and then it happens every time you have a meal. So all the ladies weren’t surprised, but the producers had taped a $100 bill to the back of Vicki’s dress in the hopes that at least one of the girls would go out and follow her and try to get her back. It worked! Greedy Gretchen bounded out first and squeezed Vicki’s shoulders and told her that everything was OK, especially with Alexis. Alexis had been the main lunchtime antagonizer, because she really doesn’t like it when Vicki tells her things about how to do things. And then Alexis has the gall to act like she’s better friends with Tamara than Vicki is and Vicki doesn’t like that, so they just bicker like two old sea snakes while Gretchen replays Baby’s Day Out in her head and Tamara quietly enjoys being fought over. Yeah, that had been the big restaurant brawl and Vicki stormed out and Gretchen followed and then so too did Alexis. They stood on the curb and the Rice-A-Roni trolleys rolled on by and the men on rollerblades pointed and said “Look, Gideon” and “I know, I see it, Lance” and high above them all the pelicans fixed their horrid black beady eyes on the scene and waited. But, sadly for them, there was no bloodshed. A dribbling Vicki agreed to go back in, even if Alexis is a total bee’s natch. Back inside the girls sat down and then there was a loud sound of a conch shell being blown and a shattering of dishes and Lynne came tumbling out of a large vase. “What’s goin’ on,” she asked lazily, her voice the timbre of waffle batter. “I was in the bathroom…” Ha. Hahahah. Ha. Lynne was just in the bathroom, missed the whole damn fight. God I love that batty bitch. She’s just such a wackadoo. “I was playing cat’s cradle with myself. What’d I miss…” Briana, Vicki’s maybe-sick daughter was there and was trying to mediate and felt awful and yelled at all the women and they were shamed by someone half their age. As means to a peace offering, Alexis decided to lay hands on everyone and say a Jesus prayer to Space Jesus so Briana wouldn’t get sick anymore. The prayer was… fantastic. It went something like this: “Dear Space Jesus, in your name we trust, heavenly Father. For you are our Father and Uncle Art is in heaven, and you are our leader, Shepherd, please lead us and father us, Father, because blessed be the Space in which you are Jesus, Space Jesus, and you guide us every day, Guider, because you live in Space and wear a big brown wig, and please don’t let Briana be sick, and may all of our boobs be forever perky and beautiful, and please Father, look down upon us and make this crab salad have a little less salt in it, and tell the waiter we’d like some lemons for our water, Heavenly Father, in all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right to deserve your love every morning and butterfly kisses at night, ohhhh butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer, sticking little white flowers all up in my hair, dear Heavenly Jesus Father In Space, please fix Briana’s broken leg or whatever her illness is, and in conclusion please bless Jim, O Terrestrial Earth Jesus that he is, for teaching me to love the Gospel of the Sex Basement with all my heart, every anguished wail that comes roaring up from that dank dark place is going straight up to you, dear Space Father.” When the ethereal light had died down and Alexis’ hair had stopped billowing in a strange holy breeze, all the girls unclasped their hands and they looked at her and they knew that she was a holywoman, a true shaman. A priestess of the highest religious order. And they knew, with sudden supernatural force, that they had all been instilled with a deep, religious, sexual lust for the leathery fireplace bellows made animate by the Holy Spirit that is Jim. It is how he spreads his love seed. Our God is an awesome God indeed. NEXXXXT. Next Lynne. Oh Lynne. She sputtered by in her jalopy autogyro made of paper towel tubes and the dried husks of stink-beetles and finally alit on the roof of her soon to be not-house. Yes the Swam Manchego trip was over and it was back to stupid old Orange County, a place where problems grow like weeds. The problem is this: Her hubby, named Hubby, didn’t pay her automo bills, didn’t pay her telephone bills and, most importantly, he didn’t pay their rental bills. And he lied about it, because trying to discuss numbers and money with Lynne is like trying to describe the plot of The Manchurian Candidate to a pile of flan. So he feels like she should have done more and she feels like he should have just kept doing everything forever and so they are fighting and so Lynne isn’t staying with him anymore. As an even worse punishment, Lynne took the two gorgeous, precious daughters with her. Oh what torment!!! To be away from the sonorous and lovely Alex and her sister, Miguel Ferrer. He just couldn’t take it. He missed them so. To get them back, he summoned them to the crumbling Eviction House and presented them with a plan. So they’re broke, right? They ain’t got no funds, no cash, no dough, no doughlars, no simoleons, no spacebucks, no clams, no bones, no millionaires’ matches. Straight nerfin. And what’s the best thing to do when you’re in such a fiduciary pickle? Take the whole family on a vacation! Seriously. In the saddest and most telling and just like… sigh… economic moment of this economically-tinged season, Hubby said with stupid, blurry, teary American Cheesehead optimism: “You know what? Let’s take a trip. C’mon. We haven’t been on a trip together in ages.” And isn’t that just the saddest thing you ever heard? Just the most wonderful, O Beautiful For Spacious Falling Skies thing that anyone facing eviction could ever say to their dumb, overly tanned family. Let’s go on a fun trip. Meanwhile the housing authority is breaking down the door and the kids are being taken away and, oh biscuits, the dog is dead and Lynne has wandered into the air ducts again and is rattling around up there. But sure. Let’s go to Atlantis. SIGH. What else. What else. Oh. Um, Tamra and Simon went to dinner. They went to sexy romantic dinner and I’m told via email that there was some issue occurring with Simon’s toes and that’s all I know about that. When you’re itching to get through an episode of Real Housewives so you can go watch Olympics, you miss some things. Here’s something I didn’t miss: Gretchen and Doug Smiley are in lurrrrve. Or they are in TV love. Whatever it is, it involves meeting the folks. Obviously, because of his age, Doug’s parents have long since passed. But Gretchen’s parents are still bravely soldiering on in their early 40s, those feisty old coots. Gretch and Doug met them at a big house in the middle of the desert that they were renting. You know whose house it used to be? Merv Griffin’s. Yes. Merv Griffin. Why… Oh, forget it. It’s not worth asking. Just go with it. Gretchen and Doug rented Merv Griffin’s house so Doug could meet her parents, as is custom in California. It’s not the best tradition though. As it was Merv Griffin’s house, confused rent boys kept showing up for their “three o’clock” and Doug kept wondering why all the chairs had these weird things sticking up from the middle. “It’s like you’re… supposed to sit on it or something…” Basically Gretchen’s dad thinks Doug is a fine guy, even though he is not a fine guy with children he never sees and no job and he calls himself “Slade.” But, he does like to ride bikes fast, so he’s a winner in papa Rossi’s eyes. Mom does not care for him, sees right through him like that nice glass rolling pin she found in Merv’s bedside drawer. The Rossis both seemed like normal people, which pretty much always seems to be the case on this show. Most of the moms and dads are just regular folks who seem a bit, or a lot, out of place in this faux-fabulous world of horrors. I feel bad for them. I’m sure they feel bad for themselves. Being the parent of a Real Housewife must mean a lot of Thursday nights spent crying yourself to sleep. Doug kept dropping hints that he was going to propose, because his and Grechen’s is a special kind of love in which he enjoys being on TV with her and sometimes putting his penis into her fagina. That’s a really rare sort of passion there. So he basically told Dad that he wants to propose and Dad’s like “The fuck do I care? Do you think she’d be on this TV show if I managed my daughter’s life for her? Enn Ohh my friend. Ennnn Oh.” But just as he was about to pop the biggest, juiciest question since he proposed to Jo all those several years ago, Gretchen went on some drunken tirade about how marriage is horrible and awful and should be a “lease” because a playa’s gotta play and freedom ain’t free and you’re not gonna pay a lot for a muffler and other hackneyed catchphrases about relationships. Doug looked crestfallen. He frowned his face and farted with his eyes and Gretchen’s mom cackled and screeched and laughed and laughed and laughed into the night, the sound shooting up into the satin sky like wails from a holy Sex Basement. Speaking of that Sex Basement, over at Alexis and Jim’s temple they were having the preacher and his wife over for dinner. No it wasn’t Courtney B. Vance and some shivering crackhead. It was actual religious people. You know, white people. They were a square little pair (with dark brown hair and they live in a lair and the wife uses Nair and the husband loves Fred Astaire and her sexual cupboards are bare and life isn’t fair) from some Southern part of the electric-cord bible belt and Alexis really wanted to impress them with her healthy, sunshiny California Christianness. This meant presenting a beautiful dish full of various granolas (“This one has raisins, this one does not have raisins. This one is considering having raisins but it feels it’s a big step, and this one voted for a constitutional amendment banning raisins. I like that one best.”) and slops of yogurts and fresh squeezed tequila worm juice. The pastor and his sharp-featured wife were all tight smiles and nervous shoulders. Clearly they were uncomfortable in front of the cameras. So mostly it was Alexis who did the talking. See this juggy fuck is so wrapped up in her stupid self image that all she can really do is think and talk about how things relate to her. What does Christianity look like when framed by her? What does friendship mean when she is one of the friends? Etc. Etc. It’s awful. So the pastor listened and nodded his head and eventually the quiet wife swallowed a bunch of pills and was dead and the conversation meandered to where Alexis had wanted it to meander all along: Why are women jealous of Alexis? Ohhhhhh why are they jealous of her big fake tits and her tunafish-belching husband and her three little angels who are all ready ruined. It’s not Alexis’s fault that she’s perfect. Plus, God wanted her to get new boobs. At least that’s what Earth Jesus told her, and she believes him unconditionally. Alexis is just a good Christian woman, she believes in good Christian things. Christian this and Christian that. She has a Christian dog and a Christian spatula. She takes Christian poops and finds Christian schadenfreude in watching other women fail. Christian, Christian, Christian. You know what Alexis? Your man Christian’s a cake boy. If there really was a real magical space angel named Jesus Christ who lived a million years ago (there was not), I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t want you using his hippie philosophy as a fucking business card, you hack. You wanna be religious, fine. But don’t fucking brag about being a grown ass adult who believes in magic. That is the height of frustration for me. That is my letter to a Christian nation. Hey Christian Nation, kindly shut the hell up. Nobody else wants to listen to you drone on smugly about your myth cycle. Show don’t tell, please. You know what guys? I’m gonna have to end this thing here. No lame poetics or anything today, because I am hungover as a mother and it’s my boss’s last day and he’s letting us post anything, so I don’t want to spend all my time writing a boring old recap. I LOVE YOU GUYS. Not like Christian love. Like real love. Like Doug and Gretchen love. OK, that’s it. Goodbye goodbye goodbye. Have great weekends. Have fun at church. Have fun not going to church. Just have fun. And be safe. Girls, if you’re at a bar this weekend and some man who looks like a walking version of the heap of triceratops poop that Ellie Sattler digs through in Jurassic Park sidles up to you and starts slurring about God and his sex basement, you run. You just run and run and run and never look back. Just make sure you’re heading east. Nothing good lies west. Nothing but a hot sandy place full of lost souls. Which, come to think of it, sounds a lot like hell. UPDATE: I totally forgot that there was this part where Breastuhses and her Pizza the Hut go to a fancy dinner and she asked for “Surf & Turf” and thought it was lobster, but then Pizza the Hut was like “you thought there was lobster in that, do you even know what you’re ordering? huh huh huh” in his steak-filled voice, trying to embarrass her. And Tits just smiled and thought about other things while Pizza sat there chuckling horribly, Big Mac special sauce pouring out every orifice, the waiter quietly crying and wishing he’d never broken up with Darren and left Pittsburgh.

The title track of his third album Love King hit the Internet Wednesday (February 17) and it seems like the self-professed “radio killer” may have another hit on his hands. “Love King” follows the proven formula of uptempo Atlanta snap-pop with The-Dream spelling out his desire for a special lady to get to know him better. “L to the O, V to the E, K to the I, N to the G/ I don’t know how he treat you, how they do it where you at/ But all I’m tryin’ to say is you don’t know me like that.” The-Dream hit his Twitter page to thank his fans for their support of the first leaked track. “Thank you all so much for embracing the single! The album is deeper and I push further, but first things first.” He also promised he had a lot more in store for them. “I will drop four singles and four videos before May 17! Jay-Z Will Never Respond To Beanie Sigel’s Dis, Memphis Bleek Says

Former Roc-A-Fella rapper calls Beans’ recent comments ‘pointless,’ in Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid Memphis Bleek Photo: MTV News The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive By the time you read this, Memphis Bleek will have flown out of New Jersey and landed in Florida to meet Jay-Z. The two are rehearsing for the next leg of the Blueprint 3 Tour for the next couple of days, and the real thing kicks off this weekend. Although we haven’t heard a lot of Memph’s music the last three years, he has constantly been performing at Jay-Z’s shows and keeping a close bond with the cat he used to borrow sugar from in the Marcy Projects. When Bleek drops his next album, The Process, later this year, things will be different. The independent release will be his first album not coming through Roc-A-Fella records. “It was mutual,” Bleek said about not signing with Hov’s Roc Nation and choosing to go independent. “It was a conversation … I was asking him his next move. What is he gonna do? Where is Blueprint 3 coming out, since he had just left Def Jam. He was telling me he was doing this Roc Nation thing. He was trying to start a whole new venture, new label, new brand — a whole new everything. I was like, ‘Damn. What’s next for me?’ He was like, ‘Whatever you wanna do.’ After a little bit of thinking, I came to a decision: ‘It’s time for [my company] Get Lo to breathe. I can’t be under that umbrella forever.’ The conversation was more or less mutual. “He’s giving me the free will to do whatever I want to do,” added Bleek, who said Just Blaze produced two songs on his upcoming LP. “Time for me to prove myself on my terms.” Obviously, with Bleek and Jay, their relationship is based on more than music. Bleek said he thought Beanie Sigel and Jay had that same bond. Just like many fans, Memph said he was shocked that Beans came out dissing him and Jay . Just this week, during a live show in Philadelphia, Beans spit his flames at Jay and Bleek again, rapping, “Memph Bleek pee the sheets/ Leave the bed all wetty.” “My thing is, what’s the purpose?” Bleek said about Sigel’s outburst. “You said all you had to say. You said you wasn’t gonna say no more until Jay called you. He ain’t call. Everything you said ain’t adding up. It becomes a point, what are you doing it for? Are you doing it to get you a deal? Are you doing it to get you hot, doing it to get you back on the radio? That’s all I wanna know. Anybody knows if you come at Hov, you’re not stopping his movement. C’mon, it’s stupid. We been there before. We seen this movie. I hate to elaborate on it, because it’s like I’m breathing life on a situation that really don’t need no life to it.” Bleek said he spoke to Beans the night before the Powerhouse show in Philadelphia last year, and the Broad Street Bully gave him no indication that there was any ill will. “For it to come out the blue like this, it was like, ‘Oh, this is what you really was thinking?’ ” Bleek said. “When Ice Cube left N.W.A, it was automatic dis records. Automatic. They was coming at each other. The Roc had split up in 2003. We in 2010. Seven years later, you wanna dis? It’s pointless. It’s no truth to it. ‘Jay is this, Jay is foul.’ Jay is not foul. This is what I tell everybody: Opportunity is worth more than a check. So that’s what people need to understand. He gave the opportunity to get rich. It ain’t about the check he didn’t give you. I didn’t get it. The check you waiting for, I’m waiting for too then. My opportunity is to be able to do this interview with you, still be relevant, be onstage with that man and even be a part of history and what we did. That’s more than any dollar amount. You can push it however far you gonna carry it.” With all that has transpired lately, Bleek said the chances of mending any fences with Sig are less than bleak. “Could it ever be mended? Jay is gone,” Bleek said. “I could sit down with Beans. You wanna holla with me, he knows how to get in contact with me. I’m out here. Jay’s gone. Ain’t no time to look back. Where [Jay’s] at, no time to look back. If Jay looks back, it’s the back of the G5 [jet], luggage. He’s gone. We don’t need that. Where’s the problem? When [all the Roc-A-Fella artists] signed their release paper and went their separate ways, it was no problem. Now it’s a problem. Why do you need to talk?” As for the footage that recently hit the Net of Bleek and former Roc co-CEO Damon Dash showing each other love in Europe, Bleek said that video was old. “That was almost three years ago,” he clarified. “We was on the Water for Life Tour . I knew all that was gonna come out. I thought it was gonna come out before. Like I say to anybody else, Dame is a cool dude. Dame did things for me in my career I could never take back. I could never down him for nothing.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . Related Videos Mixtape Daily: Jerry Jones, Jay-Z, Eminem, More
