As promised, Weezy released C5 on the night of his birthday, which pretty much added to the anticipation of the already highly anticipated album. If fans weren’t thirsty for it before, they were dehydrated earlier this week when Wayne added fuel to the fire and teased the album release date in an impromptu video he put out. Thank goodness he delivered; and the 23-track body of work has everyone and their mama talking about Wayne like it’s 2008. And Weezy was battling health issues , regarding his seizures and multiple stints in the hospital. But fortunately for him — and us — that Wayne train hasn’t stopped and he’s getting some of his flowers while he’s still here. Project Runway All Star Helen Castillo has a deep love for both fashion and the 90’s , so who would be a better fit than her to give a legendary trio like the Blue Man Group a makeover. Helen took her love of fashion from the beloved era and blended it with the Group’s mission to “dare to live in full color” and created a limited edition unisex jumpsuit which she unveiled during New York Fashion Week. Of course, Blue Man Group is an iconic part of New York City’s performance art history and a household name I grew up with. Earlier this week, we reported on the surprising news that Jersey Shore star Jenni Farley had filed for divorce from husband Roger Mathews. Fans were stunned, as there had been no prior indication that of friction within the couple. Today, Mathews took to Instagram and offered a glimmer of hope that the marriage wasn’t over, after all. In a heartfelt video, Mathews vowed to win Farley back , and judging from the response online, thousands are rooting him on. Sadly, it looks as though those hopes are soon to be dashed. Roger Mathews to Jenni Farley: Take Me Back! Radar Online is now reporting that Farley has every intention of going through with the divorce and has assured friends she will never get back together with Roger. “She was just unhappy, and she wasn’t in love with him anymore,” a source close to the couple tells Radar. “Roger has been trying everything he can to change her mind, but her mind is made up. She’s done.” Early reports indicated that Jenni was fed up with how much time Roger spent at work. Now, however, Radar’s source is claiming that the opposite is true. The insider claims that Farley felt smothered by Mathew’s expectations that she function in a traditional housewife capacity. “She realized she is still young, and she doesn’t have to give up her career just because she is a mom,” says the tipster. Apparently, Jenni and Roger began fighting when she signed on for two more seasons of Shore . And the battles became even more intense when she entered negotiations to film further episodes beyond the show’s current run. But based on the determination that’s evident in his latest Instagram post, you can bet that Mathews won’t be giving up easy. “My wife filed for divorce, it’s true. I don’t blame her,” he told the camera. “There’s no cheating, or any dumb sh-t… She just grew tired of the repetitive pattern that we fell into.” “I’m not done fighting. I’m gonna win my wife back,” he added. “I’m gonna win her affection back. I’m gonna win her love back. I have no intention of being a single dad. We’re in counseling so there is hope.” Roger sounds hopeful, but it sounds as though the odds are against him. In December of 2016, former Bridalplasty contestant Lisa Marie Naegle was found brutally murdered . It has been nearly two years, but the murderer has been convicted. He was the last man with whom she was seen alive. People reports that a man named Jackie Jerome Rogers has been found guilty of Lisa Maria Naegle’s appalling murder. The court found that on the night of December 18, 2016, he murdered Naegle in his car. Investigators believe that he killed her by striking her at least eight times with a hammer while the two of them were both in the vehicle. He then buried her body in a shallow grave in his own backyard. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed the results of Rogers’ trial. Naegle and Rogers had been having an affair at the time. Rogers was 34 and her former student. Just hours before her grisly murder, the two attended a friend’s birthday party at a restaurant in Torrance, California. That, investigators discovered, was the last time that anyone but Rogers saw Naegle alive. On Monday, September 24, Rogers was charged with First-Degree Murder. Though Naegle became famous for her role as a reality star contestant on Bridalplasty, in real life, she had a job. She worked as a nurse. When she did not show up for work the following, that set off alarm bells with her coworkers and family. Friends attempted to file a missing person’s report right away. Unfortunately, they were told that they needed to wait 72 hours before an adult’s absence became an emergency. As we now know, Naegle was already dead at the time. Still, even before the police investigation began, friends and family had a lot of questions for Rogers. He claimed to have left Naegle at the restaurant because he felt tired. That did not add up. Then, video surveillance showed that Naegle had left the restaurant with Rogers. Rogers changed his story, claiming to have dropped off Naegle at a gas station. No one was buying it. Rogers became visibly upset at this point. It can seem cruel that it took nearly two years for Naegle’s murderer to be convicted, but the justice system rarely moves swiftly. There was a time when it looked as though Mackenzie McKee would replace Farrah Abraham on Teen Mom OG . Ultimately, the show’s producers decided to go in a different direction, casting Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd instead. But fan interest in Mackenzie and her family remains at an all-time high. Fortunately, we’ve been able to keep up on the latest developments with the McKees thanks to Mackenzie’s social media posts and a recent Where Are They Now? Teen Mom special that checked in on the family. As you may recall, Mackenzie’s mother, Angie Douthit, suffers from stage 4 cancer . Both Angie and Mackenzie have made the courageous decision to offer regular updates during this intensely difficult time in hopes that they might serve as an inspiration to others who are struggling. And this week, Angie was finally able to share some good news with fans in the form of the video below. In the clip, Douthit triumphantly rings a bell to celebrate the end of her intravenous chemo treatments. Angie Douthit Completes Chemo “I got to ring the bell!” Angie wrote on Instagram. “I wore my Wonder Woman shirt because I wore it to my first chemo treatment and thought it only fitting to wear it to my last IV chemo treatment.” She went on to demonstrate the humor and optimism that have endeared her to so many Teen Mom fans over the years: “(Yes, I wore it to school all day too!) I was the first one to ring the new bell that wasn’t even mounted to the wall yet. Ringing the bell signifies that I’m finished with all my rounds of chemo. “Although I’m still taking a chemo pill everyday, I’m through with IV chemo.” Proving once again that she’s an almost impossibly selfless person, Douthit stated that one of her favorite parts of completing this stage of treatment was seeing how happy it made her husband: “Brad and I celebrated last night with dinner at his favorite restaurant,” she wrote. “Watching him be so relaxed and celebrating brought joy to my heart. God has been so good. “I haven’t been very sick from the chemo, I’m still working, and I still have my eyelashes lol,” Angie continued. “It was 18 weeks of being carried by the love of God… I have no control over my future,” she added. “None of us do. But, we can relax and be calm knowing our big God is in control because he loves us so much!” The post is a far cry from the one Angie wrote back in June, in which she opened up about how much she was dreading the chemotherapy process. “This morning we leave at 7:30 to begin another new journey,” Douthit wrote at the time. “IV chemo… As I’ve shared before, I dread chemo. However, God revealed to me that if I never had to go through IV chemo I would never fully understand cancer.” Sadly, Angie is not out of the woods yet, but the thoughts and prayers of millions are with her as she completes her recovery. Meredith Grey has been at the center of the drama on Grey’s Anatomy since it debuted, but if one thing was clear on the premiere of Grey’s Anatomy Season 15, it’s that she’s yearning for love. The closest semblance of a relationship since Derek’s death was Nathan, but with the love of his life returning from the dead, well her relationship fell apart. During Thursday’s season premiere, Meredith was having wild dreams about her getting hot and heavy with none other than DeLuca, Jackson, and Koracick. There was even a guest appearance from the new Ortho God in said dreams, but it was clearer than ever that Meredith needed some loving. A woman who fell asleep at the wheel and knocked a young girl off her bike wanted to play the hospital matchmaker, and Meredith was not having it. The surgeon wasn’t quite ready for a relationship despite her wild dreams saying otherwise. What we did learn is that she shared a kiss with DeLuca at the wedding, so there’s that. Despite all of the drama with her sex life, Meredith wanted to keep Jo and Alex in Seattle, so she was happy to try and get Bailey to take on Jo’s idea to keep the newlyweds around the hospital. Bailey declined, but later changed her focus following her plan to take a “stress sabbatical” from Grey Sloan Memorial. Jo got what she wanted, and Alex was made interim Chief. This was surprising when you consider that Teddy was supposed to be getting the job. But Teddy changed her mind when she realized that Owen and Amelia were getting closer and that they likely had a kid. Teddy had to tell Maggie everything because she was worried her unborn child was in danger. Maggie helped her, and she was sent on her way. Amelia started to worry when she realized Teddy was back on the scene and set out to find a way to express her feelings. After a cautionary tale from Koracick about how he let his wife go and regretted it, she plucked up the courage to say her feelings out loud. It all resulted in Owen reciprocating them, but they were not out of the woods. Amelia worried that this big life change could kick her off the wagon. They decided to take things slow. Jackson wondered about faith following what happened with April, and because DeLuca had saved he and Maggie from the car at the top of the installment. However, Maggie later realized he had PTSD and it was only further fueled when he failed to save the cyclist. He and Maggie chatted about the future and they were in a good place. And Meredith went back to the matchmaker who didn’t want the donor heart when she learned that the kid from the accident died. Meredith asked for assistance in finding a man, thus, giving the old woman a reason to live. Talk about the season of feels! There was also a new relationship on the horizon: The show’s first gay male surgeon, Nico showed up, and he had an instant connection with Levi. But Levi had no idea what was going on. Last week, Hurricane Florence did some real damage to the Carolinas. And since Jenelle Evans lives near the coast of North Carolina, she definitely felt some of that damage. She's been tweeting and Facebooking and Instagramming about everything that's been happening down in her neck of the woods, and it honestly sounds horrible. But one of her most recent posts has a lot of people furious with her. Let's get into the details! 1. Fair At this point, it feels pretty safe to say that Hurricane Florence has really thrown Jenelle for a loop. 2. Kick It, Y’all When the storm was just getting started, she shared photos of Kaiser playing outside in the rain and proudly declared that they were “kickin’ this storm’s butt.” 3. What Hurricane? Then, when she lost power at her house, she shared another picture of Kaiser, this one with him inside holding a lantern, and she honestly used a “What Hurricane?” hashtag. 4. Not So Fun Things only got real for her when a dam broke in her mother’s neck of the woods and she began her third day without power. 5. Insane “This is insane,” she tweeted. “Lots of rain, flooding, washed out roads, broken dams, falling trees killing people, tornados, dolphins in the streets, sharks on highways, alligators running around, and wild snakes outside swimming. What else can go wrong?” 6. Wrong! She quickly learned what else could go wrong, because even though she said she and David Eason had been prepping for the storm, they apparently ran out of food and gas, as she revealed in a now deleted tweet. No one told Justin Theroux his life was gonna be this way. His job isn’t a joke. The guy definitely isn’t broke. And his love life, when it comes to Jennifer Aniston, was not DOA. But the marriage was put to sleep back in February of this year, as the famous couple ended their union after two and a half years. Did it die a slow and painful death, though? The former Leftover lead has said next to nothing about his split from America’s Sweetheart, remaining almost entirely mum on the topic until speaking to The New York Times for an article that went viral on Saturday. “The good news is that was probably the most – I’m choosing my words really carefully – it was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity,” the 47-year old told the publication. He added: “In a weird way, just sort of navigating the inevitable perception of it is the exhausting part.” That perception, of course, is that someone cheated. Or there was some huge and ugly falling out. Or, of course, that Aniston just wants to get back together with Brad Pitt and this romance was destined to fail. Theroux and Aniston must have known that this is the sort of stuff people would say once they announced their divorce, so at least they were prepared to deal with the fallout. In reality, however, Theroux says here that the break-up did not come about due to any one significant issue. Rather, there were many small cracks that eventually led to an unfixable fissure. “These are actually in reality small events that take place,” he said, explaining as best he could to The Times: “But everything can feel like 10 on the Richter scale if you make the headline big enough and salacious enough.” Sources at the time mostly blamed the split on different lifestyles and different visions of the future. Aniston wanted to live full-time in Los Angeles, for example, while Theroux preferred New York. Now, seven months later, Theroux says he’s adjusting well, noting that breakups in Hollywood are different because of what he refers to as a “kind of carny lifestyle” with frequent scenery changes. “[It] doesn’t have that seismic shift of an ordinary couple, where everything is, like, you have to tear a baby in half,” he said. “Neither one of us is dead, neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other. It’s more like, it’s amicable. It’s boring, but, you know, we respected each other enough that it was as painless as it could be.” That really is pretty boring. Yet it also makes sense. It must be challening to keep a spark lit when each half of the couple has such a busy schedule and is traveling so often. “It was heartbreaking only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day,” he concluded. “But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of.” For her part, Aniston has clapped back against most of the BS out there . And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors. No one considers how sensitive that might be for my partner and me. They don’t know what I’ve been through medically or emotionally.
There was a time when the idea of Taylor Swift stepping away from the spotlight in favor of a more pedestrian existence would have seemed absurd. Following the release of her 1989 album, Swift was one of the most visible people on the planet, and the adoration from her legion of fans seemed to be mutual. In those days, it seemed impossible to imagine Swift living a more low-profile existence. Even if she had wanted to, the idea that the singer would be able to evade the prying eyes of the social media hordes seemed unfathomable. But somehow, Taylor Swift has managed to execute the world’s most unlikely disappearing act in recent months. In fact, Taylor’s love life — once a subject of rampant tabloid scrutiny — has been something of an enigma as of late. We know that Taylor is dating Joe Alwyn , but prior to this week, neither party had spoken publicly about the relationship. The London-based actor recently gave an interview with British Vogue in which he finally acknowledged that he’s dating Swift. But if you were hoping for a slew of details about the ups and downs of life with Taylor, you may be sorely disappointed. Alas, it seems Alwyn is just as keen as Swift on the idea of keeping their romance on the DL: “I’m aware people want to know about that side of things,” Joe said when asked about Taylor. “I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people … but I really prefer to talk about work.” Joe’s cryptic comments seem to confirm a longstanding rumor about the couple — namely, that he doesn’t want his private life to distract from his career. Though he’s certainly not as a big a name as Taylor, Joe has been receiving a lot of attention for his film work in recent months. While dating Taylor doesn’t seem to have harmed any of her ex’s careers, it makes sense that Joe would prefer to focus attention on his work and not his love life. As for Taylor, she has ample reason to keep this relationship as private as possible. After all, the opposite approach has backfired on her on numerous occasions. So for now, Taylor and Joe are both attempting to keep this thing as quiet as possible.
