He took to Twitter to respond to the criticism and had some very eye-opening responses. The album which boasts appearances from Ari Lennox , Gucci Mane, CocoRosie and more is just isn’t impressing fans. Chance’s response to the negative takes on his album was quite interesting. The Acid Rap crafter claimed he believes some of his supporters want him to kill himself. Kim Kardashian to the rescue! Not only has the mega-famous reality star been able to prove herself useful by creating a gorgeous makeup line and setting jail prisoners free, but now she can add saving dumb floundering businesses to her resume. Rob Kardashian’s Halfway Dead clothing line has stood true to its’ name and well, has been suffering. But thanks to sister Kim, things are starting to look up! According to Radar Online , the company was near collapse when Rob, 32, and his business partners were accused of ripping off a skull logo from another brand. Luckily, Momager Kris Jenner (ok, she’s the real hero here) ordered his sisters to promote the clothing line to bring in more customers following the copyright issue. And of course, taking into consideration the popularity and fame of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, it worked. But it didn’t take all 5 of the sisters to give a simple shout out on social media, instead, Kim Kardashian was able to revive the company all on her own. On Thursday, August 1, Kim took to Instagram to post a photo of herself rocking one of Rob’s signature tees, which also happens to be the same shirt Kylie Jenner posed in when the brand launched back in July. In the caption of the photo, Kim decided to keep it short and sweet, writing, “Halfway-Dead.com.” Naturally, the 38-year-old’s post received all the love. And fortunately for Rob, business quickly began booming. “Sales skyrocketed and they are nearly sold out of every single item in stock!” an insider told Radar. “Of course Kim is taking full credit for saving Rob’s clothing line, Rob really had to swallow his pride on this one, but it wasn’t hard.” “Kim made him so wealthy in just one weekend. He is so grateful,” added the source. A$AP and the other two defendants are free to leave Sweden while they await a verdict, which is expected to come August 14. Prosecutors requested that Rocky–who’s already spent a month in jail–remain in the country because he was a flight risk, but the judges disagreed. Prosecutors also asked the judges to impose a 6-month jail sentence for the rapper, saying he should be judged harshly because they claim he threw a bottle at the alleged victim–while A$AP admitted to picking up the bottle, he denies using it on the alleged victim. According to TMZ , Rocky got a huge assist on Friday from two eyewitnesses who both said they did NOT see Rocky strike the alleged victim with a bottle, which is the centerpiece of the prosecution’s case. To be specific, what occurred to certain characters viewers were introduced to in the film is something people are still trying to figure out. For example, earlier this week, Ava DuVernay answered a question from a fan who wondered what ever happened to Korey Wise ’s girlfriend, Lisa, whom he left briefly at a chicken joint to go to Central Park with friends. In the film, Korey was played by actor Jharrel Jerome ( now nominated for an Emmy award ), and Lisa was played by Euphoria star Storm Reid . Ava said when he was finally released, he wasn’t able to get back in touch with her because she died. Unless Ava has some more insight on that, which she is looking to share, we’ll never know. There did seem to be an homage of sorts to her and that time Korey’s life at the end of the film. We don’t see too much of Josh Duggar these days — and that’s unquestionably a good thing. As you’ll likely recall, Josh molested five young girls — four of whom were his sisters — while he was still in his teens. Josh’s parents helped him avoid prosecution , but the disgraced reality star was tried and convicted in the court of public opinion when news of his crimes was finally made public in 2015. The father of five has not appeared on his family’s TLC reality shows in the years since. But that doesn’t mean Duggar fans have been completely shielded from the sight of him. On several occasions, Josh has attempted a comeback of sorts by appearing in photos posted on social media by various family members. For obvious reasons, no one is more keen to see Josh get back to earning the big bucks as a reality star than his wife Anna, who is currently pregnant with her sixth child. And so the latest Josh photo comes to us from Anna’s Instagram page. She posted the pic below on Wednesday, along with a caption reading: “We enjoyed a visit to the St. Louis Zoo on our way up to Oshkosh, Wisconsin last week!” “It’s always exciting to see the different animals and the kiddos love it!” she added. The photo received a mixed response from Anna’s followers, but one fan was effusive in her praise of the admitted child molester: “I love seeing more pictures with Josh in them! Your family is such a beautiful example of the love of Christ!” she wrote. “I know your journey has been hard but it looks to me like you have come through it with grace!” Anna was quick to reply, writing: “Thank you for your kind words. Redemption is a beautiful thing!” Yes, apparently, at some point, Josh was redeemed. We must have missed that one! In all likelihood, Anna means that Josh has been forgiven in a religious sense. As for how his victims and the public feel about him — well, that’s a more complicated matter. From St. Louis, the family proceeded to Osh Kosh, Wisconsin, where they attended an air show that Anna described as “one of our 2019 summer highlights.” “We topped off the camping experience by grilling lunch & dinners for our family and Joshua’s siblings,” she wrote on Instagram. “My hat is off to John & Abbie who stayed in an actual tent.” The presence of Josh’s siblings left some fans wondering if the trip was documented by a Counting On camera crew. It may be quite some time before we know for sure. But whatever the case, it’s a safe bet that Josh won’t be appearing in the episode. Colorism is a direct result of slavery and its effects trickle down in pretty much every area of human life, from the workplace to entertainment industry — especially when it comes to women. Statistics even show that darker skin women receive harsher prison sentences than their lighter-skinned counterparts. The worst part about the systemic disease is that poisons, obliterates and deteriorates the self-esteem of young, Black girls, who are ultimately the future of the human race. Media shows us that if you’re a dark skin girl, there’s no way you can play the soft, pretty love interest. To them, and most of America, the only roles fit for highly pigmented Black women are that of slaves and maids. “With my flat nose and dark skin, the only parts that came my way were slaves, maids, and a part simply titled 'African Girl.' What’s interesting though is that then it comes to making films about slavery, casting directors have no problem finding and hiring dark skin actresses. So crazy how true that is. They always can find trillions of dark skin actors when it’s a slave movie. Be honest, besides Lupita, how many dark skin actresses can you name from the younger generation? And even Lupita wouldn’t be considered young Hollywood. I’m talking Marsai Martin’s class. But we are revolting against the harsh reality that Hollywood is still uncomfortable showcasing dark skin women on the big screen, unless they’re running from Massa or cleaning up behind his family. When Phase 4 officially kicks off next year, fans can look forward to the most diverse and craziest one yet.
