The Walking Dead is one of the biggest TV shows on the planet. It’s a brutal tale of survival as a group of people try to stay safe in the aftermath of a zombie outbreak. U.K. department store, Primark decided to pull an official T-shirt centered around the show from shelves following claims that it is racist and offensive. A message on the product reads, “Eeny meeny miny moe…” and is accompanied by a picture of a bat with barbed wire wrapped around it. If you watch The Walking Dead online , you will already know that the T-shirt is inspired by a scene from The Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 16 . The scene in question was the one in which Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character, Negan bashed the brains out of two characters. The scene caused outrage because of the gore involved in it. There were brains, eyes popping out and a whole lot of blood. It was gruesome and signaled the loss of both Abraham and Glen, thus changing the dynamic of the series forever. The racism claims stem from the nursery rhyme on the product. Many years ago, it was turned into a racist slur. A customer spotted the T-shirt in the store and turned to The Sheffield Star to reveal his thoughts on it. “This image relates directly to the practice of assaulting black people in America … It is directly threatening of a racist assault, and if I were black and were faced by a wearer, I would know just where I stood.” Primark was quick to respond with the news that they would be removing the T-shirt from sale. “The T-shirt in question is licensed merchandise for the U.S. television series, The Walking Dead, and the quote and image are taken directly from the show. Any offense caused by its design was wholly unintentional, and Primark sincerely apologizes for this.” The man who plays Negan took to Twitter to vent his frustration at all of the controversy. “Holy c**p, people are stupid,” the star tweeted to his 370,000 followers with a link to a news article about the ban. The Walking Dead Season 7 appears to have been affected by the violence. The highly anticipated season premiere secured over 17 million viewers and an 8.4 rating among adults 18-49. However, the ratings quickly fell from there. The midseason finale in November managed 10.6 million viewers and a 5.1 rating. That’s a huge drop-off in just a matter of weeks. About two months after the world said goodbye to Carrie Fisher, the late actress’ daughter took to social media in order to once again pay tribute to the legendary star. Throwback photo style. On Wednesday night, the 24-year-old actress shared an old picture of herself as a child… sitting in the lap of her famous mother while in a stretch limousine. Lourd merely captioned the sentimental image with twinkle stars and an angel emoji. As all movie fans and celebrity gossip fans know by now, tribute comes several weeks after Lourd lost not only her mother in Fisher – but also her grandmother in Debbie Reynolds. The stars died within days of one another. This is the image Lourd posted to Instagram last night: Both Fisher and Reynolds died toward the end of 2016, with Lourd breaking her silence on these losing her parent via a Tweet on January 2. “Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist,” it read. She then addressed the death of Reynolds: “There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my own and only Momby,” she wrote, concluding at the time by once again addressing her supporters as follows: “Your love and support means the world to me.” Lourd also shared another throwback photo with fans in early January, taking Instagram followers back many years with the picture below: Last month, Glen Powell, an actor who appeared opposite Lourd on the series Scream Queens, spoke to Entertainment Tonight about his friend having to bid farewell to her two loved ones in a matter of days. “If there’s anybody that can take something so tragic in their life happening, it’s Billie,” the 28-year-old said. He continued: “She’s a person who was raised by two very strong women, and she’s a very strong woman. She suffered a heart attack while on board an airplane just before Christmas and remained hospitalized for a few days afterward, eventually succumbing to the internal injuries suffered. Tina Fey Tina Fey’s career in and of itself is inspiring, and she’s known for shutting down sexism in more than just her writing. At the Center for Reproductive Rights Inaugural Gala in New York City in 2012, she was quoted saying, ““And if I have to listen to one more grey-faced man with a $2 haircut explain to me what rape is,” Fey said, “I’m going to lose my mind!” 2. Glennon Doyle Melton and Abby Wambach have a major piece of exciting news to share: They are engaged! To be married! The Christian mom blogger made major headlines in November when she announced to social media followers that she was dating the U.S. soccer team legend. This relationship went public just three months after Melton split from her husband of 14 years. “Abby is deeply sensitive and kind,” Melton wrote in the fall of the two-time Olympic gold medalist, adding: “The kids call her an M&M because she looks tough on the outside but inside she’s really mushy and sweet.” Melton, who understood at the time that many of her 650,000 Facebook followers would be taken aback by her same-sex relationship, went on to explain: “I learn from her everyday about the woman I want to become. She is committed to her friends and family. The WWE universe has lost a legend. George “The Animal” Steele, one of the wildest, most beloved and unpredictable superstars in the history of the company, has passed away from kidney failure. He was 79 years old. Born William James Myers, The Animal’s death was confirmed by WWE management and also by the ex-athlete’s wife, Patricia. She told TMZ Sports that Steele had been in and out of hospice care since last April. Prior to breaking into the sports entertainment business, Steele earned his Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University and became a high school teacher and wrestling coach in the Detroit, Michigan area. During this time in his life, Steele started to dabble in the world of professional wrestling, first appearing inside a WWE ring in 1967, where he feuded with WWE Champion Bruno Sammartino. Other feuds for Steele during this period included battles with Pedro Morales and Bob Backlund. He never won the title, but Steele was considered a strong, often-used villain for about two decades. Then, in 1985, a storyline found The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff abandoning Steele during a match. As a result, the wrestler ended up being managed by Caption Lou Albano, transforming into an oddball of a fan favorite with a green tongue and a penchant for eating the insides of a turnbuckle.
