Although Mena went ham with the dramatics and trashed some roses Skaff Beezy sent to apologize for DM creeping, the loving birthday shoutout to her boo for his 38th birthday seems sweet and sincere. From Mena’s IG: Another candle on your cake, but it’s so much more than that. Another year of amazing memories, inside jokes, uncontrollable laughter, and a new year getting to call you my lover. I spent hours upon hours trying to figure out what in the world to get a man that gives me everything. Nothing could compare. Nothing was as sincere as me wishing you a happy day, not just today, but every day. It's simple, your happiness is my happiness. You came around and changed everything. You showed me I could be loved the way I love . We're still learning and growing as individuals while getting over past mistakes. We're learning that all we need is each other , all while making a family together . Overall: I am so lucky to have found a person like you in this crazy world, not many people are lucky in that way. I was already confident, goal driven, and lucky in life. I was already confident in myself, but you have made me really look at myself and love myself more than I already do. I was already goal driven, but you gave me more purpose ( Along with King) and determination to reach those goals, you gave me even more of a reason why. The Real Housewives of Orange County will look different than it has in past seasons when it returns with new episodes this summer. Why? Because Vicki Gunvalson has been demoted. She's been downgraded to the status of “friend,” as opposed to full-time cast member. This sort of sucks, and yet one thing is made clear by the preview featured here: Gunvalson will still be at the forefront of lots of drama on Season 14. Despite Tamra Judge, Shannon Storms Beador, Kelly Dodd, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and newcomer Braunwyn Windham-Burke announced by Bravo at this season's leading ladies, Vicki is slammed as a “con woman” and a “crook” in this trailer. And long-time viewers can guess who's doing the slamming, right? Yup: Vicki's rival, Kelly Dodd. Gunvalson comes right back at Dodd in the footage, accusing her of being a bully. But it's a couple different descriptions that really gnaw at Kelly and prompt a response. “I don’t do cocaine, and I’m not a f-cking whore,” she says, seemingly replying to the claims Vicki had made at last year’s reunion. Elsewhere, Gina – who joined the cast in season 13 – grows emotional presumably about her arrest for drunk driving. “It just hurts. It’s so unfair,” she says to Shannon, who reassures her, “I’ll be there for you.” The women later make the surprising decision go to a therapy healing session to help them each through the traumas in their lives – but it’s unsure if it actually helps. It may actually end up hurting. As for Gunvalson and her reaction to getting demoted? “For the past 14 years I’ve opened up my life, my loves, my ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Orange County and I am proud to be the 'OG of the OC,'” she wrote on Instagram after the news broke, adding: “I am back again this season right in the middle of the action, and I hope you have as much fun watching the show as I did living it in front of the cameras.” As for new addition Braunwyn? She's a mother of seven – yes, SEVEN! – with a full house that includes a baby, toddler, twin kindergarteners and three teenagers. When she's not escaping to her love shack with husband Sean, Braunwyn is always ready for a mom’s night out as she gets to know these OC ladies in more ways than one, writes Bravo as part of the official network synopsis. Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres on Bravo Tuesday, August 6, at 9/8c. Will you be tuning in for it?
On May 13, Tori Roloff and Zach Roloff announced they were expecting their second child. On May 14, we published an article with the headline Little People, Big News: Roloffs Congratulate Tori and Zach on Impending Baby . This post included Tweets from family members such as Matt and Audrey, all of whom sent their very best wishes to the couple on this wildly exciting piece of news. Why is this relevant at the moment? Because Audrey Roloff and Jeremy Roloff announced yesterday that they are also expecting their second child. “Baby #2 is coming in January!!! Ember is gonna be a big sister! We are so grateful and excited for this little blessing to join our family,” Audrey wrote as a caption to the photos above and below, which include both her first child and a photo of her sonogram. Added Jeremy, echoing his wife’s message and sentiment: “Ember Jean is going to be a big sister! We’re very excited to grow our family. Thanks for following our journey and for your continual support of our family.” That was then. And now? Nothing. Nothing at all from any of Audrey and Jeremy’s loved ones. Just a few hours ago, Amy Roloff posted a picture of son Zach playing soccer. In this same time period, Matt Roloff posted a picture of himself in Cabo with girlfriend Caryn Chandler. One day ago, Tori shared an adorable family photo of herself, Zach and their son in San Francisco. Our point here is that the Roloffs have been active on social media in the 24 hours or so since Jeremy and Audrey made their huge announcement — and yet no relatives made any mention of the pregnancy at all. Such a (non) reaction has to make you think, doesn’t it? In the past, we’ve documented the alleged feud between Jacob Roloff (who has not commented on the pregnancy, either) and Audrey, as the former reality stars appeared to avoidn each other at all times and at all costs. Insiders have claimed the two disagree strongly over their faith and religion . Specifically, Jacob has supposedly taken issue with how outspoken Audrey can be about Christianity and God, especially when she sometimes combines talk about such topics with items she and Jeremy are trying to sell. Might other Roloffs feel a similar way about Audrey? Or might they be angry that Audrey and Jeremy left Little People, Big World last summer? The couple took all viewers back about a year ago when they confirmed this decision, remarking that it was simply time to move on and focus on other projects. (Audrey and Jeremy have since written a book and started a podcast.) “A year ago I made the decision that this season would be our last,” Jeremy wrote at the time, adding: “It has been an amazing run, and I can’t say thank you enough to all of you who have watched and supported us along the ride… “We thank you, and always enjoy when we get a chance to meet one of you. Whether it be in the airport, on the street, at pumpkin season or at one of our upcoming Beating50percent events! “THANK YOU for all the love and support. Your messages, comments, gifts, and mail are noticed and appreciated. You guys are the best.” None of Audrey and Jeremy’s loved ones seemed especially irritated by this decision when it was made, and TLC still renewed the show for another season. But it’s hard not to read into the radio silence in response to this pregnancy announcement now and not wonder… do better feelings remain? Selena Gomez is not dead from LUPUS or the addictions that get her sent to rehab everyday…. She is in a bathing suit though, a white bathing suit….which could be death for some modest women, cuz they get see through when wet, something I learned the right way….but Selena Gomez isn’t a modest girl, more an anything for attention girl….you know now that she’s been rejected by her love BIEBER and his new girl…something I guess she’s been emotionally eating her way through it cuz she’s fat….look how fat she is. The Duggar Family rose to fame on the reality show 19 Kids and Counting. That show was canceled years ago, of course, in the wake of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal — but the title did prove to be prophetic. And Counting . The family can sure say that again! Over the past several weeks, one Duggar woman after another has come out and excitedly announced that she is pregnant. Even by the standards of a group who believes females are only useful to their ability to raise a human being inside of their womb, this has been as astounding run of sperm successfully fertilizing eggs. For the official record? Jessa Duggar welcomed a girl named Ivy Jane this past spring. Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna, are expecting their sixth child. Joseph Duggar and wife Kendra have revealed a baby is on the way, while Lauren Swanson and Josiah Duggar have said the same. Joy Duggar and Austin Forsyth have a little boy or a girl on board. Heck, even semi-estranged cousin Amy Duggar is pregnant. It’s a lot to process and those who have followed the journeys of these couples over the years must be thrilled for all of these famous men and women. But there are also critics of the Duggars. There always have been. At this point, after 2019, there will be 17 (!!!!!) Duggar grandchildren in the family — and fewer than half of the Duggars are married. That’s mind-boggling on one hand, but it’s also infuriating on another, according to these aforementioned critics. Last week, Kendra and Joe Duggar told Us Weekly that they’re expecting a girl, but not all the responses to this article were positive; some were downright mean and judgmental, in fact. “Thank you next. Absolutely no one cares there’s way too many of them,” one user wrote, while another chimed in as follows: “The world is already over populated, stop.” Elsewhere, people compared a Duggar pregnancy to a sunny day in Los Angeles (sort of funny), suggesting it isn’t news worthy, while others went after the entire family, saying they only marry to reproduce. This is clearly true. But to each his or her own we suppose, right? We aren’t always huge fans of his women are treating with the strict confines of this family because it does often seem like they are just pieces of property, like members of an effed up cult. But overpopulation concerns?!? We do not share those. The Duggars themselves, for whatever it’s wort, do not seem phased by any of this criticism. They are frickin psyched to have all these girls entering their family in the near future. “Being parents ourselves is one of the most amazing experiences in life, however, we could have never anticipated the joy being grandparents brings us,” Jim Bob and Michelle said in a recent statement, concluding: “We cannot wait to meet these new little granddaughters!” View Slideshow: The Duggars: Who’s Courting? Source: Slaven Vlasic/Getty Images Exclusive Brian Tyree Henry Interview Brian Tyree Henry isn’t a rapper but he plays one on TV–a very relatable and refreshingly complex rapper with a burgeoning career who steals scene after scene (after scene) on critically-acclaimed hit show “Atlanta.” And that’s only one of several power moves for the Emmy AND Tony-nominated North Carolina native currently having an enviable Hollywood run that started with Oscar-worthy masterpiece “If Beale Street Could Talk,” continued with Oscar-winning dazzler “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” and carried over into 2019 with several eye-catching roles headlined by “ Joker ” and… “Child’s Play???” Yep, a next-level Chucky movie that we couldn’t wait to ask him about during the “Child’s Play” press day where we talked (and laughed) about everything from killer doll nostalgia to Black folks in Horror movies to Rihanna in our fave interview of 2019. Let’s get into “Child’s Play”–what were your first thoughts when you realized you were playing a cop in a Chucky movie? “Actually when I got the script it didn’t say “Child’s Play” on it… so I started reading it and the story was pretty damn good. It was a really cool read. And then I saw the name Chucky and I was like ‘Yo…nahhh, there’s no way..’ because I’m like a Horror movie freak–I LOVE Horror movies, it’s my favorite genre and when I got to Chucky I was like ‘Oh sh*t, this has gotta be the new Chucky’ so then I looked at my character and was like ‘oh wait, hold up, this character is actually really brave because, you know , being Black in a Horror movie they don’t really give us good characters–we’re the first people to get killed in the first three minutes of the movie… But in this movie my character Detective Mike Norris is very smart, very charismatic, is really humorous, and literally the relationship he had with his mom, and his relationship with Andy were very important to me and so I was like ‘ok cool, there’s actually a character here’ *laughs* it was something that really attracted me to it. And at the end of the day, I remember when “Child’s Play’ came out in 1988 when I was 6-years-old.. I literally remember the Christmas it came out and, at the time, there was this doll called “My Buddy” and people were going into the store and fighting over these things, man, and it was on the news and I was just like ‘I’m never gonna get one of these dolls’ and as soon as this movie came out everyone threw them away so all that consumerism you were going through to get this doll, once this movie came out it shut the doll’s sales down… and that’s kinda why I like Horror movies because there really is a commentary on the social dynamics we live in.. It really turns the mirror on you to make you confront the things we’re actually afraid of in our real lives and that’s us as a society sometimes. So once I saw this was coming my way I jumped at it because I’ve always been a huge fan of this franchise and Chucky was such a part of my life growing up and I really just liked the retelling of the story they were doing and was like ‘this is actually really fresh and really relevant to today’ because instead of it being a serial killer dropped into a doll as it used to be.. this is like an artificial intelligence… it really is programmed to know everything about your life–like, everything –there’s an upgrade you can download and that’s way more terrifying–that, to me, is way more terrifying that there’s this doll that has access to your entire life. It’s still learning and growing–you’re gonna find yourself actually caring about Chucky–I’m not gon’ lie–I was surprised.. I was like ‘I actually like this dude, I really want him to win out here’ and I really just thought that was fun. It’s been so long since we’ve had a fun Horror movie. That was one of my favorite experiences about going to the Horror movies where I grew up is like, you know, if we’re in a theater full of Black people watching a Horror movie, we are gonna talk sh*t. We’re gonna say how we feel *laughs* and when I saw this I was like ‘Oh my God, this is a callback to one of those movies where you have to have that commentary. You have to clap and celebrate–it’s fun! And I was just really happy to be apart of something like that because that’s kinda what I knew and I’m a big nerd when it comes to this so… it was like me being a kid in a candy store” We realized the legendary Mark Hamill (who played “Luke Skywalker” in the “Star Wars” saga and voiced the Joker in “Batman: The Animated Series”) was voicing Chucky and were like ‘Whoa WHOAAA’ so what was that like for you–a big nerd? “Everything I’ve been doing in my career, honestly, is my inner-nerd just losing its mind and I think that’s why I take the things that I do because I think about myself being that 13-year-old kid at my locker and thinking about what kinda pictures I would’ve taped on the inside of my locker–all of the things I’ve done so far would’ve been in my locker *laughs* so having “Child’s Play” be that other little thing–that other little piece, right there–is great and then Mark Hamill, man, I’m gonna tell you something: the emotion that he brings to Chucky and the wonder he brings to Chucky and the sinisterness he brings to Chucky is really unbelievable and I think that’s why you feel for Chucky the way you do because of him” You got Joker, you got this, you had Spider-man [Into The Spider-Verse]–did you see yourself getting into your lane so fast in your career? No! I still try to act like I don’t see that because I don’t ever want it to take away that kind of joy, that kind of wonderment of what I do. It makes me very happy and I don’t ever wanna get to a place where I’m just like ‘Ohh, you know, tick that box, tick that box, tick that box, because there’s an endless array of boxes to tick for me” How did your experience at an HBCU—Morehouse College–shape your journey (and perspective) in Hollywood? I think that–not just Morehouse in it of itself–but the city of Atlanta shaped that for me because I moved there when I was 18 and I didn’t really start getting into theatre arts until my second semester sophomore year but it was something I’ve always done even in high school I was doing speech and debate and it was always an escape for me because the plays I was told to read or the plays we were given as assignments never had characters that reflected people who looked like me. You could give me Chekhov all day, you could give me Henrik Ibsen all day, but nothing is saying I could be this young dude in Russia so, for me, it was an escape. It was fun to play these parts and run around pretending to be these men in society I was told I’ll never be because of where I’m from and because I’m Black. So, at the end of the day, when I got to Morehouse here I am looking to my left and to my right seeing other people who have the same passion as I do but then I’m also in a city where I’m looking to my left and to my right and everyone looks like me and everyone’s excelling in the same way and the city is giving me space to be who the hell I am– Atlanta literally shaped me into the person I am today and it’s because I saw in a place like that endless possibilities for us as Black people–like, endless –are you telling me I can own a store? We all got our own neighborhoods? Like, what do you mean??? So, for me, it kinda revolutionized how I saw my self within this genre and made me feel like there was nothing couldn’t do and then, here I am, in “Child’s Play” playing this detective that you actually give a damn about…that was icing on the cake” We saw you say that Rihanna made you cry and since we’re talking about Atlanta–where would you take Rihanna in the city if yall were hanging out? What would yall do? “OK, alright! I’ve actually got a chance not too long ago to meet Rihanna–I went to the Gold Party… Rihanna came up to me with open arms–she was like ‘I’ve been watching you, I’m so proud of you, thank you for giving Fenty all the love’ because I’m always reppin like ‘Yo, Fenty Beauty is the bomb, everybody needs to support Rihanna’ and as I’m going in for a hug I break her drink–I drop her drink out of her hand–and I was like ‘are you kidding me? How could you do that?’ and with such grace and poise, as Rihanna does, she’s like ‘no-no-no, don’t worry about it, it’s just a drink, what are you drinking?’ AND THEN SHE GOES TO GET HERSELF A DRINK AND ME A DRINK… So then I’m trying not to cry again but it’s that kinda thing–my inner-nerd–like of course, I made her drop her drink but it was still–I learned a lot about myself *laughs* But yea, there’s nothing greater than to see people from your generation killin’ the game. I feel like I’ve gotten to my rise watching her–like, watching us all excel in this way and its just pride, man. It really just makes me proud but I still broke her drink, though” Is there anything you can tell us about Season 3 of Atlanta? “Thaaaat, it will be back next year *laughs* but know that we’ll be coming back for sure” “Child’s Play” in theaters now!
