She has an infatuation with science and at a young age would immerse herself in documentaries about nature. Before entering her teens, she already began studying advanced biology. Aware of her intelligence and accelerated learning pace, her parents decided that it would be best for her to start high school at the age of 10. Wilson, who was homeschooled, attended a private school founded by her father called Wilson Academy. Outside of her academics she was involved in several extracurricular activities; serving as the head of the rotary club and robotics team and playing soccer and running track. With the support of her loved ones and school community, she excelled in the classroom and beyond and received an acceptance letter from Spelman at the age of 13. Wilson—who is staying true to her love for STEM and plans on majoring in biology—is beyond excited to continue her academic journey at the Atlanta-based institution. She reportedly has wanted to go to Spelman since she was 8-years-old. “I am so excited to be in the sisterhood. So many women have reached out to me and have been very nice and supportive, and I am so excited to see what my life will be at Spelman,” she said in a statement. She told KTVU that she wants to come up with cures for human illnesses through the use of animal science. Her parents are beyond excited about her accomplishment. She graduated on May 18 as co-valedictorian of her high school class. In the end, it was just time. After 16 seasons as an entertaining, talented and devilishly handsome coach on The Voice, Adam Levine has decided to hang up his red chair. Carson Daly confirmed on Friday morning that the Maroon 5 frontman is leaving this beloved NBC competition. Insiders say the singer was annoyed by the rule change this season that did NOT guarantee at least one performer from each coach’s squad advance to the Live Playoffs — and was also irritated he didn’t have a member in the finals. He didn’t hide this irritation, either, when singing with very little passion in front of potential advertisers in New York City at the NBC Upfront Presentation on May 13. Such a lethargic performance sparked anger among network higher-ups, some of whom TV Line claims wanted Levine fired immediately. Instead, both sides appear to have arrived at a mutual decision that Levine’s time on the program had finally come to an end. Levine paid tribute to his lengthy run on the series via a lengthy Instagram caption this afternoon. “About 8 years ago, Mark Burnett convinced us to sign up for this show where you sit in a big red chair with your back turned away from the singers on the stage,” he said to open a message that accompanied an old Rolling Stone cover. “First thank you must go to Mark. We had no idea what we were doing or where it was going. After the first day of shooting, I sat there, stunned. I said to myself ‘Theres [sic] some magic here. Something is definitely happening.’ “It went on to be a life shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever. “Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life.” After doling out praise to some of the folks behind the scenes at The Voice, as well as host Carson Daly, Levine went on to single out this past season’s panelists. He started, of course, with the other half of television’s favorite bromance. Thank you to the people behind the scenes who do the real work and make this machine hum. To the amazingly talented vocalists who competed on the show and blew my mind on a daily basis. And, BLAKE F—KIN’ SHELTON. I couldn’t hide my love for you if I tried. Seriously. I tried. Can’t do it. Recent reports have shocked Sister Wives fans to their cores. These days, Kody Brown seems to care about one woman , Robyn, to the detriment of his other wives. Playing favorites is backfiring, because it’s resulted in new family tensions, and now Robyn is ghosting the rest of the family. Everyone was so proud when Aspyn Brown graduated from college . It’s a huge deal! But fans could not help but notice that Robyn Brown skipped out on the big family gathering. “Yesterday I graduated college,” Aspyn wrote on social media. “I want to say a big thank you to my parents,” she expressed. “For encouraging me to go and helping me to start.” “I am so grateful for my sweet friends and my amazing littles who I am so lucky to have,” Aspyn gushed. “And a huge thank you to Mitch,” Aspyn raved. “Who stuck it all out with my while plans changed.” Mitch is her husband, whom Aspyn married last year. “I love you all so much & am beyond grateful for your love,” she affirmed. “Thanks for all the wishes to my friends here as well,” Aspyn added, in a huge nod to her fansa nd followers. “Now,” she concluded. “Onto the next adventure.” That message was very sweet! But as fans looked through the photos from this major life milestone, they couldn’t help but notice that someone was missing. “Where is Robyn?” one fan asked in a comment. Another could resist commenting: “I see Robyn isn’t there.” Considering the recent reports of family tensions with Robyn at their center, of course they picked up on the conspicuous absence. Aspyn herself took to the comments in the hope of quashing these rumors. “She was really sad to miss it,” Aspyn said of Robyn. “But,’ she explained, Robyn “woke up feeling terrible.” “She celebrated with all of us later,” Aspyn assured her concerned fans and followers. On the one hand, illness can strike at any moment and deprive people of seeing joyful milestones. On the other, it would also make an easy excuse for Robyn’s absence if there is a lot more going on. Recent reports have described tensions in the Brown family. Yes, even more than usual. One sister wife in particular, Robyn, is at the center of it all. Why? Because, according to reports, Kody has been spending extra time with her, singling her out as his favorite. He even allegedly spent an entire week with her house as his “home base” ina blatant display of favoritism. The Browns set out to do Sister Wives with the intention of showing the world that plural marriage isn’t scary. After all, most of the people arrested for “polygamy” have done actual bad things, like marrying children and not allowing anyone to leave. But “polygamy” is a more sensational label, so people harp on the number of wives and not that they tend to be aged 12-14 or whatever. So we understand where Kody and the sister wives were coming from, but that doesn’t make them the best family to reassure viewers. Kody rubs people the wrong way, for a host of reasons. And all of the family drama (like the appearance of playing “favorites”) that makes them entertaining reality fodder makes them terrible representatives of plural marriage. As you very likely know by now, Wendy Williams is single. And in case you were somehow unsure, the talk show host made it very clear this morning: She is SO very ready to mingle! Actually, to be more specific, to hear Williams herself tell it…. she’s already way past mingling. She’s seemingly moved on to, well, you can go ahead and use your X-Rated imagination. Explaining to viewers on Tuesday how she’s “reclaiming her life” in the wake of her divorce from Kevin Hunter , Williams didn’t sound a woman scorned or lonely these days. Far from it, in fact. “I go out a lot because I am a good time girl. I like to have fun,” Williams said to raucous studio audience applause. “I am right now a young and pretty New York City girl.” Well, she’s 54. But you’re only as young as you feel, right? After many years of putting up with Hunter allegedly cheating on her, Williams finally had enough last month. She filed to legally break-up with Hunter after his mistress gave birth to the couple’s child and Williams sadly relapsed in response; multiple outlets reported that Wendy was rushed to the hospital on the same day Hunter welcomed a baby with Sharina Hudson. It’s all been enough to turn even Wendy’s most stridents critics sympathetic to her romantic plight. But Williams doesn’t want our sympathy. She just wants us all to know she’s still getting some, thank you very much! The star noted on air today that she has “the ultimate bachelorette pad high atop everything” with a “really, really good view” — and it sounds like she’s putting it to good, scorching hot use. “I don’t have a boyfriend, but I must admit I am rediscovering my love of men,” Williams told her viewers with a smile, adding: “I do date and I date pretty often… the parade of men will continue because I need things lifted, put in position. I’m still unpacking boxes for God’s sakes. “That’s all I’m saying.” She may be saying more if one chooses to read between the lines. But we’ll leave that to our loyal readers. Williams has talked in broad or vague terms about her divorce in the several weeks since it was made official. However, she grew rather personal and clearly bitter just a couple days ago, addressing women who cheat with married men and telling them they would burn in Hell . If it sounds like Williams is therefore struggling in light of her spllit, she wants you to think again. “I am working on my divorce pleasantly right now,” she said very simply today, talking directly about the break-up for one of the first times and continuing: “It’s hard to say ‘give privacy’ because I don’t give privacy when I’m doing the rest of the stories, so you do what you want – you always do.” Hunter and Williams got married in 1997 and have a son named Kevin together. Her estranged husband also worked as a producer on Wendy’s talk show ever since it premiered, mixing business with pleasure in an unhealthy manner. But no longer. By mid-afternoon on Friday, James Charles and Tati Westbrook were dominating social media conversation and trending hard. It's sometimes difficult to tell what exactly is happening with all of that chatter, and nobody has time to string it all together. But we made time, and here's why the internet is cheering after beauty vlogger Tati effectively canceled James. Even if you don't follow many YouTubers or keep up with many beauty vloggers, you've probably heard of James Charles. Why? Well, at only 17, he became the first ever spokesmodel for CoverGirl. Now, he's 19 (he turns 20 later this month) and continues to be a successful influencer. But on Friday, just two weeks before he exits his teens, he began hemorrhaging followers across all platforms. Why? A callout video from friend and fellow beauty vlogger Tati Westbrook, titled: “BYE, SISTER.” We have a clip — the most serious excerpt — from the 40-minute video that Tati released on Friday afternoon. But you should know that this all started when James Charles endorsed a company that sells hair vitamins. See, his until-now good friend Tati has her own brand of Halo Beauty gummies. James was apparently assisted by another brand's security while at Coachella this year, and repayed them by endorsing the brand. Tati was livid — especially when, after nine days, he still hadn't reached out to her. “To not even get a phone call, to not even get a text a few days prior… that's pretty typical of James Charles' behavior,” Tati says. “From the time that I met him when he was 17,” she notes. “I know that he has a way of just getting what he wants.” “And,” Tati explains. “I always blamed it on his age.” But she says that James has changed more since they first met than she had ever imagined. He is no longer a person with whom she wants to be associated. “Fame, power, and a fat bank account will change almost anyone,” Tati expresses. Since his meteoric rise to fame, James has rubbed elbows with top-tier celebrities and also Katy Perry. “And if you don't have people that tell you to your face that you're doing the wrong things,” she notes. “You will change.” “I tried to be that person to you James, I really tried,” Tati laments. “I don't think there is any getting through to you and I don't want to be friends with you,” she declares. “I don't want to be associated with you,” Tati repeats. “And I need to say that very publicly so that this chapter can just be closed.” Tati says that she was instrumental in encouraging him early in his career. She also accuses him of spreading malicious rumors that treat her like a villain. But things get more serious when she begins to accuse James of being almost a predator. “You tried to trick a straight man into thinking he's gay yet again,” Tati alleges in her video. “Using your pain, your power, your money to play with people's emotions,” she accuses. “You're threatening to ruin them.” What she's talking about here is an Instagram model, pictured here, named Gage Gomez. Gage was linked with James Charles earlier this year, and even spotted alongside him at Coachella. (A great reminder that nothing good comes from Coachella) James accused Gage of “using him” for social media clout, and Gage was harassed by James' (young, impressionable) fans. But Gage tells a very different story. Gage says that he admitted to James that he was unsure of his sexuality, but says that James then began pressuring him. This wasn't just sexual pressure — he says that James would insist that he make time for him, and then viciously subtweet him if he was busy. He says that James would block and unblock him on Instagram and also invite and uninvite him to Coachella. That sounds like toxic and even manipulative behavior. James Charles has also been accused of being racist and transphobic, both in the past and very recently. We can't say that we're sorry to see him canceled — and especially not in such a thorough way. Remind us to never get on Tati's bad side.
